Wow Kel, that sounds wonderful! Do you leave this Saturday? It doesn't sound like you're going to be too near where Dogstaff lives , but if you're going to Waco, look up Chip & Joanna Gaines... the "Fixer Upper" couple. That's my favorite show on HGTV!! Day 3 of headache (not quite as severe right now - it got better last night then I just HAD to go and eat some junk food and think that's what brought it back ); I have to leave for my Precept class in 20 minutes and am not even dressed yet. Hope you all have a great day!

Sorry I didn't make it in here yesterday. It was a rough day for me and I spent most of it dozing in my chair. Yes'm.. we are headed to Texas.. we will head into LA for the weekend then we are traveling towards Waco, then Austin - Just a little trip for David and I.. Wow, that sounds like it would be a nice trip, but better if they didn't have all that flooding. Hope you have a good time though. Wow Kel, that sounds wonderful! Do you leave this Saturday? You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back! I thought this forum had been thrown under the bus. The bus must have had a lousy driver! It was but we just couldn't stay away. Hope you have a good trip. Hi Margie! Hope you're doing well. Has the weather gotten better where you are? Hope you're not having to deal with that flooding at all. It sure looked nasty.
I've been fighting back pain and fatigue this whole week which is another part of the reason I haven't been here much. I sure hope it lets off soon, cause I'm more then tired of it.
I made the private forums, so please go check them out and make sure you can post in them. If you're not a member, just send me a PM and I'll add you to whichever ones you want. You can tell if you're in a group by going to the group tab on your profile.

It's raining today and is supposed to rain tomorrow. No flooding in my area.
Just finished reading "Lost Boy" by Greg Laurie. I listen to him sometimes on the radio.

I don't how to do a quote using this tablet. Cindy asked how I was doing. My general health is still pretty good. I had both of my hips replaced back in 2007 Unfortunately they were designed wrong and had to be replaced this year. I'm still recovering from the second surgery in Sept. I'm walking without a walker or a cane now. The old hips gave me metal poisoning which is no fun but will get better with time.

Hi Catt! How are you doing? OSR, it is wonderful hearing from you- we've always enjoyed your sense of humor. Wow, I have never heard of metal poisoning from surgery! That sounds awful!! I am so sorry that you had to have the hip replacement to begin with, then that it had to be RE done so soon, and THEN that you had the complications!! It didn't keep you down, though, did it? Thanks for the update. All is still quiet on the board... makes me kind of nervous! It's like being home alone.

I haven't heard of that book, but I have heard of the author, I just can't place him at the moment. That's not surprising though as my brain hasn't really kicked in yet today Where is everybody, on the whole board?!? It feels like a ghost-town in here! Yeah, it's been rather dead for some time now. I guess folks didn't want FH as much as they said they did. That's ok, it's here for whoever wants it, whenever they have time.Hello every one. I've been reading, trying to catch up. Hi Catt! Hope you're doing well! I don't how to do a quote using this tablet. Cindy asked how I was doing. My general health is still pretty good. I'm walking without a walker or a cane now. The old hips gave me metal poisoning which is no fun but will get better with time. That must have been really hard on you - the poisoning I mean. I'm glad to hear you're doing better now though and hope you continue to improve quickly and fully!Hi Catt! I guess everyone's just busy. Actually, I think most have transitioned to FB instead of FH. I honestly still don't see how people can stand being there with all the trash that's shared, even by so called "Christians". I honestly don't go on it much at all. Only long enough to share some links from here and to share some of Christine or Marcia's stuff since I used to post there's on the board all the time anyway. It seems rather pointless to even do that though. I try to fool myself and say that maybe it will help someone, but I really doubt it. People want God less and less all the time now. I just want to go Home.
Bruce was home sick yesterday so I had to take care of him. He seemed better today, but now I think I'm sick. It was a very hard morning. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.

Oh no Cindy, I am sorry to hear that Bruce was sick and that now you are. I hope whatever it is, is short-lived. Saying a prayer right now.
I do read a lot on FB, and certainly do my share of posting there, but to me that's never a substitute for posting here. Even though this is a public forum, it's different than FB and I share a lot more here than I feel comfortable with on FB. And, there are still several members here who are not on FB at all or don't post there either - so we need this to keep up with them! (Speaking of that, Anna - how are you doing? Did you have any effects of the earthquakes over the weekend? The moment I saw the news I thought of you and hope all is well.)
I have to run out to the doctor's office to pick up some school forms for Daniel. When he went for his school physical back during the summer, the doctor signed forms for him to keep his asthma inhaler in his backpack, and I took them to school to turn in on schedule pick-up day, but never saw the school nurse so brought them back home. Now, I can't find where I put them (par for the course around here). So I have to go back to the doctor to get copies. It's crazy the amount of paperwork needed for him to keep a simple inhaler, that he's used for 9 years now (only on occasion if he's sick, to control coughing) and knows exactly how and when to use it. There are four or five different forms that have to be filled out and signed, and the school has to keep on file an individual health care plan.

There are four or five different forms that have to be filled out and signed, and the school has to keep on file an individual health care plan. Thanks Lorrie, I appreciate the prayer for sure! I know you're right about FB too. I just get down sometimes when it seems like it's all for nothing. I know better and generally don't allow myself to dwell on that, but when I'm not feeling well or in extra pain, Satan knows that's my weakest time and always strikes then. You'd think after all these years I'd be so used to it I'd be ready for it ahead of time. Sadly though, I generally get caught by surprise and the Lord has to give me a whack to remind me.
That is crazy Lorrie. I'm seeing it with my grandchildren now. Elijah has meds he has to take and because of the school he can't take them the way he's supposed to (3 times a day). Well he still gets them 3 times a day, but he has to take one before he goes to school around 7am, and the next one when he gets home at 4pm and then the last one a few hours later at 8, which is crazy. They're supposed to be fairly evenly spaced but schools make it so difficult that it's impossible anymore. He also had the same problem with his inhalers as well. :pray:Praying for you, Cindy. Thanks Catt. I've been wanting to call you and something always seems to come up. I'm going to try again today though.

I don't like FB and I'm not sure why. Too public, I guess. There are some people/relatives from my past that I don't want to meet again anywhere. Too scary.
Great day here. I did make it to exercise.
Hugs to all.

Lorrie, that's my problem with FB, I get caught up in reading...and reading and reading...I love news and history and such and find myself off on some other sites reading. then when what ever I'm reading seems unreal, I end up resurrecting to find out if it's true or not. there's now fake new sites just to get'ya all turned around on whats true and what's not...I do get disappointed and discouraged with it a lot and just end up walking away and doing more around here...which is what's been happening...been doing my winter cleaning...after having the ceiling fans on all summer the walls and ceilings needed dusting and washing....been trying to do one room a day...this coming weekend will be our sanctuary's turn, but I'll need Rons help with that.... Cindy glad Bruce is feeling better, praying for your health now... I wish we could meet up Kelley, your probably traveling now any way.... OSR!!!! wicked good to see you, glad your healing well from your surgery's...bummer about having to go through it all over again! my problem with FH, is I'm always here by myself...you all are in bed by the time I get here...ugh...but I do read and pray so I be here...

Glad to see people posting again!
I do hope all is well with Anna though... she hasn't written in a few days so if she doesn't check in with us today I will have to email her. However, if she had damage from the earthquakes, then she wouldn't be able to receive/reply to an email either.
Wish I had time to respond to everyone's comments, but I'm signed up to volunteer at Daniel's school this morning. It's picture day and they always need a few moms to corral the kids as they come through for their photos. Although, these being high schoolers, they are pretty well behaved and there's not a lot for us to do except sit there. It's fun though, and a couple of my friends will be there too so we'll have a good time visiting.
See you all later!

Hugs to all. That's true for me as well. Plus, I've seen too many marriages wrecked by FB because of people getting "In touch" with old friends that just happened to be old boy friends or girl friends. Little by little the relationship becomes stronger and before you know it, you're some place you never expected to be. I've seen many a marriage get to that place and they only avoided it by God's direct (and pretty obvious) intervention. Of course they were Christians and didn't realize what was happening until it was too late. But because they trusted God and took their problem to Him, He got them out of it. Not without some hurt, but at least their marriages weren't harmed by it like they well could have been otherwise.
To me, instead of promoting unity, or promoting love, FB does the opposite most of the time, promoting strife, gossip, and ill will. Unlike FH and other places like us, you can't avoid seeing a lot of trash when you go on it, no matter how careful you are. I'm just not interested in seeing that kind of stuff, so that's why I prefer to talk to those people who still come here. At least here I don't have to listen to or see all the blasphemy, swearing, and just plain evil that's in the world. Yep, most of the media and news sites are only propaganda for Satan, the world and the flesh. Very few speak the truth anymore, which is what reporting is supposed to be. Instead they spin stories to say whatever they want them to say, or whatever they are being told by the organization they work for that they're to say. It's a very sick world we live in. The only safe place to be is in God's Word. At least when we know His Word well, we're then able to discern if what we're being told is true, or what parts might have some truth to them. Mostly I don't bother to listen to the news anymore, or to read it either, except from a very few sites that I know to be run by godly discerning people. Them I listen to! And thankfully Daniel always posts them here in the End Times forum. Glad to see people posting again!
I do hope all is well with Anna though... she hasn't written in a few days so if she doesn't check in with us today I will have to email her. However, if she had damage from the earthquakes, then she wouldn't be able to receive/reply to an email either.

I have more news about my bed, but I think I'm going to start a new thread about it...oh, wait, that's right, I already did one, it's in this forum I think. Let me look.... Yep, it's To all who live with severe chronic back pain so I'll just update that one for everyone.

That's is too funny Lulu! I can imagine you doing that and just imagine their reaction! But really, what a perfect and non judgmental way to get your foot in the door toward fellowship and showing them the love of Christ! Perfect!
That's great you get to see her this weekend at least for a little while. I went looking for that thing to donate toward your sons legal fees, but couldn't find it. Could you send me a link since the one on facebook doesn't work anymore? Do Lyn and Dave have legal visitation rights now, or are they still only getting to see her because you guys let them see her on your "time"?
Speaking of grandkids, I've got to share another Gracie funny with you all. She and Elijah were asking their parents a bunch of questions about the rapture last week at dinner time, and Jenn and Bob were trying hard to answer them as well as they knew how. Finally Gracie asks them what we'll be wearing after the rapture. Jenn, being literal minded and trying to answer according to God's Word, tells her that we'll all be wearing "white robes like Jesus". Gracie, gets this look of horror on her face and says, "Oh No! White doesn't work for me at all!" Jenn asked what she meant, and she replied, "White doesn't look good one me! I don't want to wear a white robe!" When she could finally stop laughing, Jenn told her she was sure that she could talk to Jesus about it and He would probably let her choose another color.

LOL @ Gracie! She is so cute! Too bad Gracie and Jazzy don't live close to each other; they'd probably be good friends.
Well tonight John and I went to see the play Harvey at a community theater in Lexington. It was.... good, I guess. Kind of strange.
I'm leaving at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday) to go up to Spartanburg for the day; it's another concert day for the ladies choir I sing with. We have a partial concert in the morning at a nursing home, then the full concert at 5:00 at a church. So it will be a long day.
I did email Anna last night and haven't heard back. Something must be wrong, because she hasn't been here in over two weeks and that's not like her. I hope it's just an internet or computer problem, and nothing with her health or well-being.

Spent yesterday afternoon with my grandson (my daughter's youngest). My daughter was tutoring students. We went to Braum's Ice Cream where I had my usual - a large Butterfinger Mix-In. Really good! Grandson had a sundae. Then we went to the pet store. Then we went to Hobby Lobby because he wanted to look at the rocket kits. I got him the one he picked out after very serious deliberation! I had no idea so many models were available.
Today started out cool and rainy but the sun is out now. I'm doing laundry and reading (Words Fitly Spoken by Donald Grey Barnhouse). I think I get more out of older Christian books than the new ones.
Hugs.

Hello, it's me Anna. I have been off here for a few days. I was checking out Pro board and clicked on delete and then was not able to log back in, so tonight I registered again anew. I'm not much for writing at night, so I will write more during the daytime. YAY, Anna's back! We missed you!! I really started to be concerned when I realized it'd been over TWO weeks since you'd posted! Not that Fresh-Hope has posting requirements , but when one of our daily 'chatters' quits chatting.... we start to think something is wrong. So glad you are back (thanks for the email also - I saw it late last night). Margie, sounds like a really special day with your grandson! That Butterfinger ice cream sounds divine! I know he appreciated and enjoyed the modeling kit you bought him. Speaking of older books, have you (or anyone else) read The Robe? I have a copy that a friend bought me about 10 years ago... she wanted me to read it because she loved it. Well, I started it a couple of times and didn't get into it right away, so never got far. Then my friend died unexpectedly last year. Anyway, I saw the movie version listed in Netflix (from 1953), so watched it this week. NOW maybe I can read the book. Great story, from Bible times. Hope everyone had a nice Saturday and has a worshipful Sunday. I was gone yesterday from 8:15 am to 8:00 pm for our ladies choral day. It was a wonderful time, but tiring. I crashed on the couch last night and didn't even take off my make-up until this morning! I'm about to mix up an old-fashioned egg custard pie right quick for Sunday dessert, oh and start some Mexican chicken in the crock-pot, but the dessert takes precedence.
