Good Morning, I need to run this by everyone and get your opinion on something that could be a good thing or not. I have been writing and composing, for the past 3 decades. As all of you are aware of that I was raised in Ohio. I recently submitted some of my work to various artists. Last night , I received a phone call from a local band, from my hometown, that has asked me to not only write for them but want to include me in a showcase coming up this May. Its a Spring/Summer tour. For the record, everyone in this band has played with Contemporary Christian Artist around the Midwest. The tour travels to major cities in Ohio, KY, TN. I have a month to make a decision on my next move. Shirley and my family will stand behind me no matter what I have decided to do. Please give me some feedback on what could be a new direction that I may need to follow. I have been doing some extra praying on this one. Thanks in advance for your input. Hey Mark, I think if someone wants to celebrate your talent, why not be a part of that also, part of the move of the Lord. Leaders must stand up, all can't be followers. If you are physically able to do this, I hope you do and your wife is all for it.

I agree. Besides, though we have to struggle with pride, that's a good thing because God will use it to make us more like Jesus - especially if we keep leaning on Him and asking Him to do so.
I'm having trouble with my internet. It's super slow for some reason. I've been waiting for a half hour for this page to load and sadly don't have the time to keep waiting that long for each one so I can post on the Bible Studies today. I guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow and ask the Lord to speed it up for me by then. I'll ask Him now too and give it one more try before having to give up for the day.
We had the pleasure of having Elijah and Grace here for a couple of hours yesterday. From 4:30 to 6 anyway. They spent most of it out in the yard playing in the snow. It's a big treat for them to be able to go outside without Mom or us being right there with them constantly. They know we can see them from the windows or the porch and that we do check on them, but they like having the freedom too. That's the good part of living in a place where you know everyone and trust your neighbors, so your kids can go out and have fun without you being scared they'll get kidnapped or hurt by bigger kids that are bullies. I love being a Grandma, cause I can just spoil the kids lol. I called them in just before I figured their parents would be back and told them to quickly get themselves a snack before their parents got here because they knew their parents would have said "no" to a snack this close to dinner. Since they'd been outside running around in the snow all that time though, I knew they were hungry and that the snack wouldn't prevent them from eating their dinner, but might tide them over until it was ready. It was perfect timing too, as Bob and Jenn arrived just after they finished.
Oh, I've got to share what happened when Jenn called to ask me if we'd watch the kids for her too. The kids heard what she said on the phone and besides Elijah and Grace there were several other children in her house at the time. All I could hear was different voices saying, "I want to go to Grandma's house too!" (I know their friends and have met them any number of times and some have been to my house before). And sure enough it was several of their friends that wanted to come too. I laughed and told Jenn to just bring the whole neighborhood. It reminded me of when my kids were young and my house was always filled with their friends because everyone seemed to want to be at my house all the time. It made me feel good that my grandkids friends feel the same way! I love it too that Jenn takes after me in that all the neighborhood kids congregate at her house all the time too.
Ok, time to see if the Internet's any better! Hope you all have a great day!

Mark I think that’s awesome!
When my kids were growing up, I loved having their friends over.. my sons friends would ask me to make them “ refrigerater sandwiches “. Never sure what that meant, lol. Deli meat & all the goodies. I guess they liked my sandwiches. Lol.
I can’t wait for all the grand babies! It makes my heart melt when Sadie comes over & smiles so big when she sees David & I

I want to thank you for your thoughts. I am going to talk with my doctor's and Shirley's doctor's in the next week. When they give us the clearance , health wise, to travel, then I will come to a decision. I really want to do this , however, health comes first. Again thank you .

Hey everyone. I'll come back later and catch up with everyone, but I wanted to copy and paste a testimony that I wrote on FB, for those who don't use FB. I've had so many blessings, in this last while, they are busting at my seams and I feel I can't contain them, because I have to share them. Here's the latest....
I hope to have my car back in about a week, or a little longer, depending on when I get my tax return. Either way, the Lord is watching over me ALL the time. While this fix is going to be a bit pricey, the Lord provided the means for me to be able to meet it. Turns out that I don't have a shot motor, like was originally thought. It's the rear oil seal. Anyway, the part is quite inexpensive, but the labor is 10 hours minimum, because he has to pull the tranny to get to it. If it had to happen, I'm still very thankful. Our Lord is so good to us. He provides what we need, when we need it, and not a moment sooner, and He is always on time! Thank you, Lord.

Happy Birthday Lulu. We hope you have a Blessed and fun day. This Florida weather can't seem to make up it's mind . Either it's in the high 60's or 80's. Not complaining too much since it snows almost every where else. Lol. Have a good night, everyone.

I live where it should be warm but it is snowing right now, first had some sleet, it will be cold for a few days, but I think this will be the last of the cold days before spring. Even though it has been cold with freezing temperatures at night, the young tumbleweed plants are growing well flowering and from 4 to 6 inches high. It surprises me their ability to grow and survive in such cold temperatures. RV'er Nomadic Fanatic is in Florida, following the warm weather and swimming in a swimming pool. Another e-beggar, I am watching less you-tube, more and more e-beggar videos.

Hi, e-beggar is an internet panhandler, asking people for money to fund their hobby.

Oh wow, I had no idea! There's lots of that going on now days though. It seems like every time I turn around someone is using that go fund me site and asking people to pay for something for them. While some use it for a crisis or emergency which is understandable, many use it for things like, "I want to go to disneyland" or other stuff like that. My first thought is always, "big deal, so save your money and then go!" What's more surprising is the many people that will give to stuff like that! or there's people who haven't paid their rent for months and start a go fund me for that. They gets lots of money too. Sadly the ones who are giving the money don't realize that the reason the person's behind on their rent is because they spent their rent money on all kinds of unnecessary stuff, just because they wanted it, knowing they then wouldn't be able to pay their rent. People want the world handed to them on a silver platter without having to do anything themselves to get it.

Hi all, its 7pm on friday night and the smell from the local pizza takeout place is seriously tempting as i wait for my daughter to finish some after school activities.....
I get happy when I realize God is on our side and protects us as His children. I think sometimes we just need to slow down , be in prayer a lot, and really listen to what He is saying to us. This old world has rejected God, decided to honor people who identify as fire hydrants ( fer goodness sakes....), allow children to be killed moments after birth, and wallow in the filth of deliberate sin and call it " progessive". Yes, its progessive to hell rapidly.
Please pray for people who have been blinded by the Devil, and that those saved in Christs name can use thier former Satan-created bondage as a weapon against Satan himself!
Have a good weekend, Steve.

Steve, I find myself praying harder then ever before for everyone that's not saved, and for those who are but are living for themselves instead of God. The time is so very short and the people need the Lord so very desperately, even though they don't realize it. They're all blind, and terminally ill with sin that's wounded their hearts and minds and corrupted them even more. It just breaks my heart - literally! So I pray, and pray, and I especially pray for the loved ones of each of my FH family that aren't saved yet and well as for my own unsaved loved ones. On top of that, I pray even for those who "might" be saved, who say they are, and yet who I'm not absolutely positive about - just in case. I'd rather be safe then sorry! Soon we'll all be standing before our Lord, and will either be thrilled and filled with joy while He smiles and welcomes us, or we'll be ashamed as He frowns and asks why we don't know His Word and didn't obey Him. I can't wait for that day, and yet I pray that God will get through to many before then.

I pray and petition the Lord daily, but was reminded, as I read psalms 145-150 to praise God.
What do you praise Him for?

Hello . I am glad it is done snowing and warmer weather is coming our way. One thing I praise the Lord for is the ability to be able to have Internet access for going on 20 years now. I am glad a woman named Sharon talked me into getting a computer so we could communicate at night about news stories, because her son was a journalist and we would stay up late at night and listen to Art Bell on the radio. Now Art Bell is dead and so is Sharon, she died from lung cancer, smoked all her adult life, in the year 2015. But it was then that I began to read from here at Fresh hope and read for I think a few years before I signed on to type also. I wish I would have signed on earlier, but I was reading articles from here, back when we could post any picture on-line with out all the rules and being stopped from doing that. All through the years having Internet access has been a blessing to me, I always type to helpful and positive and loving people, it made me appreciate people more. I also learned about the news and how things of the world work. We all have been communicating with each other for a long time. I did like when we here typed to each other through a group e-mail, there I could have been more open with my thoughts but now on this forum we can all see Christian news being posted for us to read.

What do you praise Him for? Oh my, I praise Him for so many things! I praise Him for answering my prayers, for all the things listed in psalm 103, (I love that one!) and for who He is and that He's my God and I belong to Him; I praise Him for His Word and His promises to us and that He will send Jesus to get us one day and all that our future holds; I even praise Him for using both His blessings and the trials I go through to make me more like Jesus.... I could go on and on, but will stop here. Hello . I am glad it is done snowing and warmer weather is coming our way. Hello, everyone. I just couldn't pass up a chance to tell you all what I am thankful and praise our Lord for.
Every day, I know He is with me. He protects me. He speaks to me, through my thoughts. I know it is Him, because He has brought me SO many Angels in this last while. And when I get some thoughts in my head to do something to defend myself, or say something to someone else, I hear Him. He says, Cheryl NO. And I stop. No matter how badly I want to say what was on my mind, I don't, because my Lord told me not to. He not only stops me, but He removes the thought from my head.
Even today. This woman came in and I could tell by the way she looked at me, that we had had some words, but I didn't quite place her. I was speaking to her in a bubbly tone. When she walked up to the window, I said "hello, hello, what can I do for you today?" She handed me some papers to process, and the name on the papers looked familiar, but still didn't place her, and I was just as kind to her, as I was the last person. Then she said, "I know that you and I got off on the wrong foot." I said, "Well, to be honest, ma'am, I know I've seen you, but I don't remember what happened at the moment. But, what's important is that I am Christian, and I know to forgive and to ask for forgiveness." She said, "Oh, I'm so happy to hear that." Then as we continued to talk, she was reminding me who the client was. It wasn't her. She was the client's niece and we did have some words. I said, "Oh yes, I remember the case now. How is your Aunt? Was she able to get her situation straightened out?" She answered that it's still being investigated, and I told her that if we can do anything to help, please don't hesitate to ask. I finished her papers, bid her a wonderful evening, and she left with a smile. I totally jumped right over the problem we'd had and she seemed to love it.
.....I'm still a work in progress....but the Lord knows that, and He's working on me, protecting me, loving me. Every minute of the day.
All the Glory and Praise goes to our Lord and Saviour.

Yay Cheryl Cindy, yesterday morning I read here where you wrote how Psalms 103 was a blessing to you. I was 30 minutes late in the afternoon going to pastor Scott's site and when I logged on the first thing I saw was sister Maylen typed only the word Psalms 103, I thought wow that was meant to be that I saw that, so I read Psalms 103. Today I was 2 hours late logging on to pastor Scott's site and the first thing there that I heard was pastor Scott reading out loud Psalms 103. I thought wow I am going to tell Cindy about this, it all was meant to be a blessing.

Well, I got our taxes done and filed yesterday, which is why I wasn't here. At least it's all done for another year now though. It's been super cold again here for the last few days, with real high winds as well, but those have finally calmed down. It got down to 5 below 0 last night and tonight it's supposed to get down to 7 below 0. We keep getting a little snow regularly too. Just a couple of inches from each storm. Everyone is really tired of that. If it's going to snow, we want at least a foot at a time lol, not this little bit!

Yes, so far it’s a beautiful day. Was up way to late talking with Cuz....slept in, had coffee with Cuz before she went to work. Ron and I have a plan for what we are gonna do today. Talked more about what needs to happen for us to move here, Judi is fine with all...but we all agreed to have her talk to someone about $$$ and what is needed to keep this place afloat.....so we can see what we need or if we can afford to help her with our income on SS. We’ll have money’s in the bank, that will help some...

Good evening from the Sunshine State. I have been rather a busy camper over the passed couple of days. Medically , my doctors have given me the ok to travel and do the tour. Shirley is excited and she is set to go. So as of May 11th. We will be on the road for 6 weeks. I am going to meet other Christian artists along the Tour. So as soon as we finish in the studio , coming up in early April. I will send out CD's to anyone that wants one. I will let everyone know when the release date is, as we get closer to the tour. Until you then, May God continue to Bless you all.

Wow, those pictures are so beautiful, Lulu!!! I can see why you want to live there, yes I can! I hope you and Ron and your cousin can work things out for everyone concerned, because that place looks like a blessing, and the Lord would not tease you. He's got plans, so just wait and listen, and the answer will come. At least that's what He's been doing in my life, lately. I'm so sorry about Mace. I hope you weren't hurt physically, with the pull from the dog! And no one else got hurt either!
Cindy, I'm happy to see that you got your taxes all done. You want more snow? Ok, well, I think the rest of the nation stole it! It all rolled downhill!! But, please come get it! We don't want it! We'll even help you push it back up there! We need that little snowball throwing smiley, that we used to have. That's the only kind of snowball fight that is fun, because it doesn't get on me. LOL!
I think, in Kentucky, we're getting all the precipitation. We got snow, then it has rained almost non-stop for a couple of weeks. This morning, it was so cold that I didn't have an ice covered windshield, I had ice droplets on my windshield. Like the rain fell, but didn't have a chance to slide off, before it froze in place. I've never seen anything like that, before. For the next 10 days, the temps are going to up and down like a yo-yo. Sunny, partly sunny, partly cloudy, rain, rain/snow, sunny, partly sunny, rain/snow showers. OK I guess I'll find out what the difference is between rain/snow and rain/snow showers is huh? Except that the rain/snow is showing 37 degrees and 9 at night. And the rain/snow showers is showing 51 degrees and 34 at night. This should be interesting. NOT! Because after that, while the temps will range around the 50's, it's rain, rain and more rain. through to the 14th of March. We already have flash flood warnings all over the place, and the rivers are already above flood stage. This reminds me of 2011, when they had to blast the levy in the boot heel of Missouri to save the entire town of Cairo Illinois. I hope they don't have to do that again. I made a reply on someone's facebook post on some flood pictures, in Tennessee. I said, "When God's word says that it will be as in the days of Noah, this is NOT what He was referring to!" Sadly, I don't think anyone there, got it. It's getting harder and harder to have a conversation with the secular world. Has anyone else noticed that?
Mark, I guess I completely missed your original post about your being a composer. I had to go back and look for it. Congratulations on this! This is something I don't really think I knew about you! Have a safe and prosperous tour and may the Lord lead you to where you need to be, when you need to be there! Keep in touch, and let us know where you are traveling!
Marlene, I needed to read Psalms 103 now too. I don't read Psalms very often, except the 23rd Psalms. But, I know that one almost by heart. That was neat how the Lord lead you to it. I love how the Lord works on our hearts.
OK, all. It's after midnight and this ol' lady needs some shut-eye. Tomorrow is payroll day, so I need to rest up, so I can do it correctly. People like to be paid right.
G'night and God Bless each and every one of you!
