Yes this first week is zooming by!!!
I 'think' maybe Anna was referring to the image on Lulu's post of (cartoon) Garfield in his bunny slippers... ( just 2 posts before your last one about short work weeks) duh! I don't know where my brain was LOL
Morning! happy Saturday! looks like rain here...chilly, overcast....but quiet. The kids went on a holiday to Yosemite for the weekend! Jess has posted a few pic's, it's beautiful there, no snow yet....
hanging out in my PJ's, feels good. but I do have to get dressed, Boy is talking about a walk, he just came over and pawed my leg, *lets go mom* he's funny....
Sounds like a good day Lulu. The kids came over Saturday and Jennifer made supper again for us all. This time it was pulled pork and was very good. Then Sunday afternoon, we did our shopping as usual. Well, Cindy, LOL, I tried to snip and paste Lulu's Garfield graphic, but it won't work. The "bunny" slippers.........or like Anna said "rabbit" slippers is what she was referring to. LOL
Boy, this past week, to me, just dragged. Even though it was a 3 day week, it seemed to last much longer. Everyone at work was saying the same thing. At first, I thought it was just me. Now it's already Saturday afternoon! Pretty soon it will be Monday!
I have laundry to do, dishes to wash, floors to mop! And TV to watch, and sleep to get, and...and...and anything I want. LOL!!! I'm just being silly. I can't believe I missed that LOL Isn't that strange how for some of us the week flew by and for others it was really long? We are expecting rain all day Sunday. Every time I buy an umbrella Ron uses it one time and he give it back to me broken, so I bought a pink umbrella and I expect to be able to keep this one. I am feeling like something is going to happen, from the news I have been listening to. People I communicate with on-line are having super blessings or else strange problems.
LOL Yep, getting a pink one should do the trick! Good thinking!

Had lunch with our granddaughter. She's staying with a friend who lives in the area. On Saturday they'll head back to college because the new semester starts on Monday.
Really nice here today. I went for my usual walk around the building.
Hugs to all!

Well, after 2 weeks vacation, now back at work. The weather has been very hot- over 105F and awful humidity, our evaporative cooler was working hard.
Been watching mr trump and the wall thing... I reckon he could kick off the left so it goes the full crazy....they are any way...i seem to remember days too when senators actually had decorum, not like the foul mouthed leftists we see now. Can you imagine someone like that in power? Scary stuff...the communists seem to be at the door hammering on it ...have people woken up to that yet?

Yes, you all, things seem to be starting to change, I have heard that soon EBT cards ( food stamps) will not work and for some already they don't work and for some people they do work, but I have heard it said if the gov stays shut down then by February the EBT cards will not work.
This is what a brother Gary posted just now at the chat site, I think it is comforting. Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but BE YE TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.
1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him Abideth IN You, and ye need not that ANY MAN teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of ALL things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall ABIDE IN HIM.
Never forget HE Who has called Us, and Taught Us and Loves US. The LORD has done this wonderous thing and will continue to do so FOREVER.

So when I see my doc again I will have him cut my pain meds in 1/2 or 2/3 so maybe we can pay for the remainder on our own dime?
Yes, things continue towards end times at a faster and faster pace.

That's strange...do you have part D? Perhaps it's the company that you're signed up with? If so you should be able to change to another one that will pay for them or at least some of them. I know the one I have pays for the Norco. You might want to call and check.... I sure hope that's all you have to do! Had lunch with our granddaughter. She's staying with a friend who lives in the area. On Saturday they'll head back to college because the new semester starts on Monday. Really nice here today. I can't even imagine that...and am sure glad I'm not there!
Yes, that's all scary. What's even scarier to me is when I remember how people practically worshiped Obama and absolutely refused to see anything wrong or bad in anything he said or did, and now people are doing the same thing with Trump. (before I get jumped on, I'm NOT saying Trump is bad, but I am saying he's human and he makes mistakes just like all humans do, and he says things he shouldn't at times.) I see both as a precursor to the people ushering in the antichrist just the way they did Obama and Trump, only more so. It seems like people have put on blinders and simply refuse to see or hear anything that goes against what they want to believe - both in religion and politics and even in their personal lives. I've come to realize that when God warns us through Paul that people will gather teachers that will tell them what they want to hear rather then the truth, that the same would be true with other areas of life, and that's exactly what we've been seeing too. It's really weird..... I've often found myself wishing for the "old days" but then I remind myself, why go back? Because of the way things are now, it means we're much closer to seeing the Millennial Kingdom then ever before, and I'd much rather think of the rapture and the Millennial Kingdom then wish for the old days lol.

You and Steve are dealing with heat, and we're dealing with cold! It was down to 2 below 0 here last night and the night before, which honestly isn't all that cold, but it is compared to what you guys are getting!
I'm sorry to hear Ron is sick. It sounds a lot like the bug everyone hear has gotten. It starts like the flu for a lot of people then turns into something like a bad cold, and for some of us adds in a bunch of other weird symptoms. I hope for his sake that it's just the flu for Ron and that he gets over it quickly!

AMEN!!!!!!! The EBT cards didn't work because of the server, not because of the shutdown. Here's a little bit about it:
"During a routine test of our back-up systems Saturday morning, Xerox’s Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system experienced a temporary shutdown. While the system is now up and running, beneficiaries in the 17 affected states continue to experience connectivity issues to access their benefits. This disruption impacts EBT beneficiaries who rely on the system for SNAP and WIC. Technical staff is addressing the issue and expect the system to be restored soon. Beneficiaries requiring access to their benefits can work with their local retailers who can activate an emergency voucher system where available. We appreciate our clients’ patience while we work through this outage as quickly as possible." www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/EBT-Card-Problems-NOT-Shutdown-Related-227521921.htmlor here:www.nbcsandiego.com/news/national-international/EBT-Card-Food-Stamps--227525591.html?amp=ySo when I see my doc again I will have him cut my pain meds in 1/2 or 2/3 so maybe we can pay for the remainder on our own dime?
Yes, things continue towards end times at a faster and faster pace.
I love those Bible verses Anna thank you for posting them, we can never read to much of God's word!! Before you do that, please check and see if you can switch to another company as I suggested above... You can give them the names of your meds and they'll tell you if they're covered or not. I don't know if you'd have to call each company to find out or if there's a place that will do the work for you. But I'm sure you can find out.

wow, Thursday! almost there! we are going up to see my Cousin Judi this weekend. Please pray that Ron feels better...he's almost there, but man I don't want to push him, and when we get there, he'll push himself to do something, to get another room cleaned...his focus has been on the dinning room and living room side of the down stairs, it's not a lot, but some heaving lifting...I do pray Johnny comes up to visit. but I think we need to mostly just be there for Judi, she needs pray guys, she's not doing good. She feels so alone....my heart breaks for her... we got an offer on the house the other day, but haven't heard back from the guy, that needs prayer also. the sooner we sell the sooner we can move up to Judi's.
prayers for you also Barbara, and the insurance.

The thing is the insurance paid right up to this month. But Leonard says the pharmacist said its medicare part D that will not pay. I know...but you have to have a "plan" that goes with Medicare part D and each plan is different. For instance I have Cigna. I don't have to pay anything to have Cigna because we don't have much money. Depending on how much money you make each year determines what, if anything, you have to pay for your Part D plan. There are many different ones to choose from, so they tell you to check and see which ones will pay for your meds before you choose one. Of course you can always change to a different plan if the plans change like yours did and no longer help you. I found this for you, it's all the way toward the very bottom of the page.
To get some more Medicare plan information to review, use the links below; you can schedule a phone call with me or have me email you plan options. If you’d like to compare some of the Medicare plans that could cover your medications, use the Compare Plans buttons on this page. Need some help right away? Call Medicare.com’s licensed insurance agents at 1-844-847-2659, TTY users 711; Monday through Friday, 8AM to 8PM ET. medicare.com/medicare-part-d/what-drugs-are-covered-by-medicare-part-d/
Medicare Part D coverage is available:
Through a stand-alone Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan—you can add this benefit to your Original Medicare coverage. You can enroll in any Part D Prescription Drug Plan that serves the area where you live. Through a Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug plan—you can get a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan that includes prescription drug coverage, so that you get all your Medicare benefits under one plan.
This is how I got help and got Part D with everything free: Medicare offers a program called the Low-Income Subsidy, or Extra Help, for eligible people with limited incomes. If you are enrolled in Medicare and meet the income and resource requirements for the program, you may automatically qualify for the Low-Income Subsidy in some cases. If you don’t automatically qualify for the Low-Income Subsidy, you may still apply to find out if you qualify for Extra Help from Medicare. If you do qualify, you’ll get help paying for your Medicare Part D costs, which may include premiums, deductibles, and cost sharing. medicare.com/medicare-part-d/part-d-prescription-drug-coverage/
You can call and find out just what plan you have and if you can switch to another one (explain why you need to) and if you qualify for help paying for it, etc. I hope this helps you somehow. I hate to see people not get the meds they need.

Oh right, we have a plan that keep almost all are meds at $2.00...
any other plan, would mean we would have to pay a lot more. We qualified for it because of such a low income.

I have a thread in the prayer section about praying for children in schools.
I just posted again today but thought I would do so here also.
So our grandson is back at school, and in the science class where the teacher stated the 1st day, saying religion and science cannot mix.....
Well, this week, she had the kids decide, and draw, their 'spirit' animal!!!
What??? Is that not 'religion' ( American Indian or new age, or spiritual, witchcraft or....????
did she not say, no Christianity is allowed in a science class....
but it seems they are spending this whole week on the very 'scientific science" of your spirit animal?
more prayers please, of protection and wisdom for school children
Thank you.

any other plan, would mean we would have to pay a lot more. We qualified for it because of such a low income. Well, if you got that plan within the last year or two, maybe it's still that way, but plans change every year at least a little; and lately it seems they've been changing a lot - some for the worse, and some for the better. You can still check and see if there's one that would be better for you. The worst thing that can happen is that you'd find out that there isn't a better one. So you've got nothing to lose by checking and possibly a lot to gain...especially being low income. good morning and happy Friday! its wicked overcast here, but not chilly, but not warm either....no stars....quiet, can't even hear the freeway. can't wait to see my cousin tonite, she needs hugs wicked bad....
Glad you're able to go Lulu. I hope Ron's feeling well now. It's real cold here now. It was down to 7 below 0 again last night and right now the weatherman says it feels like it's all of 5 degrees F. The high is supposed to be 9 today

Thank you. I sure hope his Mom gets him out of that, that's awful! But at least you can tell him the truth about them. Plus, since the Holy Spirit dwells within you, you'll be able to tell if there's a demon hanging around him and get rid of it for him, unless of course he wants to have it around him. (which I would doubt). And of course I'll pray!
I found this about Spirit animals on a mindfulness blog of all things (which says a lot about it):
Spirit animals are another form of spiritual guides, similar to a guardian angel. Spiritual guides present themselves to us however we are willing to see them, and it is natural for many people to connect with their guides through the face of an animal. www.mindbodygreen.com/articles/how-to-find-your-spirit-animal
I thought that's what it was, but wanted to be sure before I said anything so I looked it up. Spirit guides are actually demons according to the Bible, therefore your grandson needs to be very careful about this. Christian parents should go to the school and tell them they don't want their child to have anything to do with this stuff. The principal can have the teacher assign something else for their child to write about that doesn't go against our beliefs.
wow, there's even a series of books for kids put out by Scholastic about this! Concerns About “Spirit Animals” Series: www.womenofgrace.com/blog/?p=39052
Then I saw this: Spirit Animals Teaching Resources | Teachers Pay Teachers. Browse spirit animals resources www.teacherspayteachers.com/Browse/Search:spirit%20animals
And this: A Guide to Spirit Animals In certain cultures and spiritual systems, there is a belief that we each travel with a cadre of spirit guides, which also includes animals. Shamanic healer and intuitive, Colleen McCann, explains below what spirit animals are, and how they can be harnessed for help in life, whether through meditation or totem form. In regards to the latter, we collaborated with the exceptionally talented jeweler, Kim Dunham, on a small collection of hand-engraved spirit animal signet rings, which can be customized with inscriptions inside to make them extra-special.
Shortcuts for learning more? There are two great apps, Indie Goes and Earth Magic. And there are many quizzes: Spirit Animal, Brainfall, What Is My Spirit Animal?, Spirit Hoods, Jeri Smith.
This is about the author of this blog and article: Colleen McCann, fashion stylist turned energy practitioner, has traveled the world in her studies of deeply rooted spiritual traditions and rituals, and beauty in many forms. She is a certified shamanic energy medicine practitioner and now lives and practices bi-coastally, with posts in LA and NYC. Her work with clients focuses on achieving a sense of balance, wellness, and fullness, and utilizes a combination of crystals, color theory, chakra systems, astrology, naturopathy, and Feng Shui principles. As you can plainly see, she's very into eastern religions and the new age and has kind of melded them together (which is what the new age does anyway). Here's a link to this page:

I know and I truly thank you.... but yeah it is a hassle and a pain.... one that Leonard probably would not be into right now. And it could take for ever... which would raise his blood pressure sky high trying to deal with it!!!
Still, I am glad to have the info...just in case.
Devon was more caught up in the art aspect of the spirit animal ( at least to some extent)...because they had to each draw their spirit animal.
We did talk
( after he fact....he came home and talked about it....the teacher had already had them all do this so there was no way to be involved as parent or grandparent)
about how that was a 'religion'...
the very thing this 'science' teacher was sooooooooo adamantly against ( Christianity and science do NOT mix she claimed in no uncertain terms!!!) , at the beginning of the year.
We've been talking about 'super heroes' and how they are an atheistic, evolutionary alternative to God.
The problem is he was also taken with the idea of batman... (so when this teacher asked them to draw what would be their spirit animal....he drew a bat).
As we talked about super heroes and he began to really see the deception, he said... Wow! I thought 'batman' would be my hero forever....
There is like a disconnect (it seems to me), not unlike the constant struggle of our old sin filled man against our born again one.
He loves the Lord and I do think that is his priority BUT............
The internet, video games, super heroes etc. are constantly tugging on him also!!
He is mostly aware of this struggle still it is a fierce battle and he is only 11.... so the pull is very strong, and school and stuff like this is no help.
A lot of the school propaganda he sees right thru....like when they constantly hammer on evolution, and climate change etc.
but a couple of years ago when he made his own youtube channel he called himself swaggest bat. Which I think came around when he was visiting his dad one summer. His dad being 1/2 black, is ( or was) into being supper well dressed, into outer looks (like body building) ..... and 'swagger'.
It is really hard on Devon who loves his dad...but there are a lot more issues going on there and somehow this 'swaggest bat', I think is tied up in his love for his dad.
Sometimes, life is so complicated....even trusting God is on His throne, and I can come to Him in prayer, I do sometimes get tired of the battle...since I am tired anyway.

Attachment DeletedMorning from cherry Valley! It’s been raining and pretty cold up here, but Ron got the heater fixed and we’ve been busy.....but staying up late talking...Johnny (Ron’s son ) came over and helped Ron move a few heavy furniture out of the house, Judi got some more done in the library/office. Johnny is only like 20 minutes away! He’s coming over again today! It’s been a good visit, didn’t get everything done that we wanted....yet

Hey everyone! Just got caught up with everyone. Been under the weather, and haven't felt much like sitting in front of this computer. So, I've been sitting in my recliner, sneezing, coughing and drinking my tea and honey. I'm still showing up at work, but warn everyone to stay clear of me, because they sure don't want this.
Lulu, LOVE the scenic pictures. I would love to see you and Ron get out of Cali, but if this is where the Lord is leading you, then by all means.
Anna, did the pink umbrella work? For Ed, it was screw drivers, measuring tapes and flashlights. I had my own tools when we first married, and they disappeared. Only to find them with HIS stash. I'm like, hey dude, that goes in the kitchen. His retort was, it doesn't belong in the kitchen. My retort was, it's where I need them the most, so hands off! Or at least return it, after you "borrow" it. OK, 28 years of marriage did not budge him. I even bought myself a screw driver with flowers painted on the handle, thinking that it would deter him from swiping it. NOPE!! He thought it was pretty, and a really cool interchangeable screw driver, so big deal if it has flowers on it. Well, at least I could spot it easily, when looking for it.
And flashlights? That bugger even took my flashlight out of my glove compartment and never told me! He claimed that by the time I needed it, the batteries would be dead anyway! NOT a valid reason, because it was something that I checked periodically, and if he had asked, he would never have used that excuse. And the man had every type of measuring tool imaginable. I could not even keep my sewing measuring tape in my sewing box. I had to hide it.
He was SUCH a brat, but I loved him with all my heart, and really miss those little squabbles.
Barbara, I wrote a message to you in my trials thread. I didn't want to put it out here.

Yes, the world is constantly at war with the Spirit, and Satan and the world are constantly doing all they can to keep our attention off the Lord and onto other things. There's so much out there to tempt us, and they like to grab whatever we're into and use it to get us away from the Lord. (either to prevent us from being saved, or to prevent us from rewards and being a light in this world for the Lord. I've been trying to watch Elijah closely for the last 6 months or so, as I feel he's about to be tested by the Lord, so I've also been trying to store up in his mind as much knowledge about the Lord as I can and point out more reasons to love the Lord as I can to him. (in hopes that those things may help him pass the test) I haven't told my daughter yet that I think he's about to be tested, but I'll probably do so this week as it seems stronger then ever now. It's hard though when you're dealing with youngsters. (Elijah is 13 now). There are so many temptations to the youngsters now days. I'm so grateful that my daughter and her husband are doing their best to make sure the children know and love the Lord and obey Him, but I keep reminding the kids that they can't get a pass just because their parents are saved and they go to church. They have to abide in Christ - know, love and obey Him themselves.
I can't remember what brought it up this past weekend, but I remember telling them about what Jesus told us about people being saved - that there are only two paths people can take; one is wide and smooth, and that's the way most people go; the other is very narrow and can be rough too, and very few people go that way - but that's the path of salvation. Oh, I remember now...they were talking about various other kids they know and how many of them say they're saved but are mormons, catholics, etc. I was explaining yet again that they most likely were not saved at all (which they agreed with) and then reminded them of what Jesus said....
I hope and pray that I'm able to help Elijah store up scriptures in his heart so that he will pass his test. It's weird, but I feel kind of like I'm the one being tested, not Elijah, even though I know it's his test. I just realized something though...that's how Paul felt about the people he taught! Good afternoon FH. Weather , here in Sanford FL, is a cool 75 degrees. Shirley and I are doing ok. I hope everyone has a great weekend. LOL It's a warm 28 here right now. I know that sounds sarcastic, but it's really not. Yesterday it was in the single digits with a lot of wind so was very cold! Today the wind has calmed down too so it feels warm lol. I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Morning from cherry Valley!
This is the view out back, I was outside, but it’s the view from the kitchen window, and the dinning room!
No decisions made, but we are making progress on the house!
How beautiful Lulu! I can see why you'd be happy there! What's holding up the decisions for you all? Is it that everyone involved can't get together or something like that?Hey everyone! Just got caught up with everyone. Been under the weather, and haven't felt much like sitting in front of this computer. I'm lucky then because buying pink tools or something that looks feminine will keep Bruce away from mine I do that with lighters too, because before I started doing that, mine would always turn up missing. I haven't had to deal with that for years now though - ever since I made sure mine was a girly one LOL. I sure hope you start feeling better soon!

hmmm I wonder if that storm will hit us eventually, and if it does, will it bring rain or snow??? Everyone's hoping for snow now...
Oh guess what? Bruce bought a truck yesterday! Well, he got it basically for free. The friend who bought his Harley was selling his truck. When Bruce told me about it, he said he thought he could work a deal with his friend and take some money off the Harley that he still owes us and take the truck instead. I told him to go for it, so he called his friend and the guy was all for it! But he'd only let Bruce take $300 off what he owed for the bike. His friend's name is Jack, and he's a really nice guy. He's known Bruce forever and would do anything to help him. I suspect that's why he sold him the truck for so little. We think he wanted to make sure we were still going to have some money coming in from the bike as well - although I know Bruce has told him we're "fine". But anyway, Bruce is thrilled to death that he finally has a truck again! You'd think he just won the lottery!
