Cold here. We went to get some BBQ at a local place a friend here told us about. It smells wonderful. Talked to my daughter and her youngest today. That's always a treat. Her daughter will join the Coast Guard on Monday. Wish she was still in college, but this is what she wants to do.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Hugs!

Yes, so far it’s a beautiful day. Was up way to late talking with Cuz....slept in, had coffee with Cuz before she went to work. Ron and I have a plan for what we are gonna do today. Talked more about what needs to happen for us to move here, Judi is fine with all...but we all agreed to have her talk to someone about $$$ and what is needed to keep this place afloat.....so we can see what we need or if we can afford to help her with our income on SS. We’ll have money’s in the bank, that will help some...
That sounds good Lulu. I sure hope you're able to get everyone together so final plans can be made. If everyone can't physically get together to do that soon, could it be done via a conference call with all of you? One of the neighbors...but its what’s behind his house! This is the view out the back! It's beautiful Lulu! I can see why you love it! What a peaceful setting! Mountain Gorgino with the snow View from the back porch Wow! God is so amazing! when I see His creation it makes me think of this verse: “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20) or this Psalm “You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,” (Psalm 65:5–6) and the rest of it; and then I can't help but worship Him!
Good evening from the Sunshine State. I have been rather a busy camper over the passed couple of days. Medically , my doctors have given me the ok to travel and do the tour. Shirley is excited and she is set to go. So as of May 11th. We will be on the road for 6 weeks. I am going to meet other Christian artists along the Tour. So as soon as we finish in the studio , coming up in early April. I will send out CD's to anyone that wants one. I will let everyone know when the release date is, as we get closer to the tour. Until you then, May God continue to Bless you all. I'd love to have one Mark! That sounds so exciting and I'm so very happy for you!!! Wow, those pictures are so beautiful, Lulu!!! I can see why you want to live there, yes I can! I hope you and Ron and your cousin can work things out for everyone concerned, because that place looks like a blessing, and the Lord would not tease you. He's got plans, so just wait and listen, and the answer will come. At least that's what He's been doing in my life, lately. I'm so sorry about Mace. I hope you weren't hurt physically, with the pull from the dog! And no one else got hurt either!
Cindy, I'm happy to see that you got your taxes all done. You want more snow? Ok, well, I think the rest of the nation stole it! It all rolled downhill!! But, please come get it! We don't want it! We'll even help you push it back up there! We need that little snowball throwing smiley, that we used to have. That's the only kind of snowball fight that is fun, because it doesn't get on me. LOL!
I think, in Kentucky, we're getting all the precipitation. We got snow, then it has rained almost non-stop for a couple of weeks. This morning, it was so cold that I didn't have an ice covered windshield, I had ice droplets on my windshield. Like the rain fell, but didn't have a chance to slide off, before it froze in place. I've never seen anything like that, before. For the next 10 days, the temps are going to up and down like a yo-yo. Sunny, partly sunny, partly cloudy, rain, rain/snow, sunny, partly sunny, rain/snow showers. OK I guess I'll find out what the difference is between rain/snow and rain/snow showers is huh? Except that the rain/snow is showing 37 degrees and 9 at night. And the rain/snow showers is showing 51 degrees and 34 at night. This should be interesting. NOT! Because after that, while the temps will range around the 50's, it's rain, rain and more rain. through to the 14th of March. We already have flash flood warnings all over the place, and the rivers are already above flood stage. This reminds me of 2011, when they had to blast the levy in the boot heel of Missouri to save the entire town of Cairo Illinois. I hope they don't have to do that again. I made a reply on someone's facebook post on some flood pictures, in Tennessee. I said, "When God's word says that it will be as in the days of Noah, this is NOT what He was referring to!" Sadly, I don't think anyone there, got it. It's getting harder and harder to have a conversation with the secular world. Has anyone else noticed that?
Mark, I guess I completely missed your original post about your being a composer. I had to go back and look for it. Congratulations on this! This is something I don't really think I knew about you! Have a safe and prosperous tour and may the Lord lead you to where you need to be, when you need to be there! Keep in touch, and let us know where you are traveling!
Marlene, I needed to read Psalms 103 now too. I don't read Psalms very often, except the 23rd Psalms. But, I know that one almost by heart. That was neat how the Lord lead you to it. I love how the Lord works on our hearts.
OK, all. It's after midnight and this ol' lady needs some shut-eye. Tomorrow is payroll day, so I need to rest up, so I can do it correctly. People like to be paid right.
G'night and God Bless each and every one of you!
That's too funny Cheryl! Well, we finally got some decent snow! We weren't supposed to, but we now have almost a foot. Ok, so it wasn't really a decent storm, but the accumulation has finally brought the total up to where it's starting to look like winter.
That's what our temps have been doing too Cheryl. One night it's 9 below 0 and the next day it's 40 degrees outside! Then the next day it's either in the teens or below ) again and the next it's way above freezing. It's just crazy! So we'll get snow one day and then a day later the rain will wash it away!
That was a good one about Noah and the flood pictures! I didn't see it on FB, but then I haven't had time to be on there much lately.
I don't know why, but I was really surprised when you said you don't read the psalms much. Maybe it's because in many surveys, the psalms are often listed as a favorite by many. I love to pray them back to the Lord too, but mostly I love using them to Praise Him; so I start every day first asking the Lord to forgive my sins so I can start the day with a clean slate, and then I Praise Him with a Psalm of Praise! I got the idea from the Psalms lol, as they say, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” (Psalm 100:4)
It was a nice weekend for us. We did the shopping Saturday. We had to go to a store we really don't like, as we've had a $50 gift card that someone gave us after Bruce's accident. (the fact that it's been almost a year since we got the card, shows how much we don't like that store LOL) Anyway, we wandered around and got some meat and other stuff, and finally as we were looking for something else, I told Bruce that I didn't care whether we got it or not, that I just wanted to get out of there. He agreed and said, let's go, so we did. When the cashier rang everything up, I couldn't believe what she said and asked if she was joking. I'm sure she thought that was strange, lol, but the reason I thought she was joking was because she said our total was exactly $50 even! We hadn't even tried to total up what we were buying! When Bruce showed her the gift card, she finally understood why we were surprised.
Yesterday, Bruce took Elijah to the ice races in town. He picked him up at 10 am and they didn't get back home till after 4. Jenn and Bob brought Gracie to our house so we could visit and we played a game with Gracie, after Jenn worked on trying to get a knot out of my upper back that's been causing my arm to hurt badly for the last 4 months. When Elijah got home, the kids played while we made supper. They all had to leave around 6:30 as the kids had school today. So it was a good day for everyone!
I hope you all have a great day today!

I wish I lived near Lulu, I might be able to help train Mare to heel, 99% of the time. I went 2 times a week for 3 years, obedience training with my Airedale. They are strong dogs.
Still, even tho (we went to AKC trials),
as the head trainer, used to say: "You can demand 100% perfection, when you are 100% percent perfect"!
So at almost 74,I too would be cautious, because you never know when a deer, or some other animal might just cause your dog to forget all it's training in the heat of the moment. Even tho in class the head trainer would use all manner of similar distractions, so your dog could learn to concentrate and overcome instinct.
Cheryl: What a beautiful testimony! I loved that the Lord said: Cheryl! NO! LOLOL 😋

I have been enjoying my time that I am able to be outdoors bird watching. This morning when outdoors on a walk I was thinking about how dogs are distracted by instinct and will not listen to me call them away from what they are focused on. Here is a video of a woman singing Psalms 23, she has a nice singing voice, sounds Irish to me.
The Lord's My Shepherd / 23rd Psalm

Wow, where to start?
First off - Lulu, so you're staying in California to be near your cousin?!? (I missed the announcement on that!) How far away from your current home? Those photos you posted are gorgeous, how exciting!! Totally understand you on the dog situation. Of course she's not my dog, but Nala (Timothy's pit bull) is as strong as... well, a bull! There is no way I could ever take her on a walk... I can't even push her out of the way if she doesn't want to be moved.
Margie, so your granddaughter's joining the Coast Guard?! This is the one who came with you to Cracker Barrel when you came through town a few years ago? We have a nephew in the Guard... seems to really love it. I hope all goes well for her!
Speaking of coming through town, Mark how wonderful about you going on tour this spring/summer, and it sounds like Shirley is going with you - how fun! Is there a website that shows the band and tour dates? We would love to hear more about it!
Cindy, always enjoy reading about Elijah and Grace (and seeing pics on FB). Hard to believe how fast they're growing up, as it seems that they were born "just yesterday." It's special that Bruce takes Elijah to do fun things. I know it's been mighty cold up there! My friend Linda who lives near you in NH (that I've told you about) has been posting snow photos on FB and I love to LOOK at it, but no way do I want to get out in it and walk around like she does!
Cheryl and I had a fun food conversation on FB the other night (it all started over a picture of salmon patties, LOL!) and I called her a "Northerner" -- but while I sometimes tease about that, in all honesty I respect you YANKEES who live and thrive in frigid weather conditions! You all are of a strong stock... I wouldn't survive long in those conditions!!
Cheryl what an amazing encounter with the customer who'd previously disagreed with you, by how you both were able to be kind and move past what had happened. It's a beautiful example of how the Holy Spirit will work in and through us when we give Him the chance.
Barb and Kelley, I think of the two of you as being together up there, holding down the fort in the PNW.... even though I don't know how close your homes really are (probably hours apart). We visited a quaint little ocean village several weeks ago (Georgetown, SC) and I wondered if it was anything like the area where Barb lives. I'm ready to get Kel down here in the Southeast into MY neck of the woods! (Sort of! Louisiana to SC is still a good piece to travel.)
Steve, hope things are going well for you too, Down Under! Much as I'm ready for spring, you're probably ready for fall!
Ruthanne, are you still popping in and out of chat? What is new with you?
Well hopefully that catches me up with everyone (please forgive me if I missed anybody). I still think about Prairiewoman and wonder where she is and what she's doing. Surely with someone knew how to get in touch with her.
Before I close - if anybody reads this today (Wednesday) - I'm requesting prayer for my Daniel. He has a big test at 5:30 EST in his Calculus 2 class. He is trying SO hard but it's a killer course. I'm just praying that, as The One who gives all wisdom and knowledge, and the Creator of every bit of it to begin with -- GOD will give insight and knowledge to Daniel and help him pass this test (and course). Daniel is exceedingly grateful for every prayer uttered on his behalf, and so am I!!

Yes, you met her when we ate at Cracker Barrel. The Coast Guard is great; nothing wrong with joining it. She's only 18, so I hope she's making the right choices for her life.
I miss Prairiewoman too. Hope she is well.

Lorrie, I love reading your posts. Well, I actually love reading everyone's posts. But, that one part where you mentioned the food chat we had. That WAS fun. I kinda' hi-jacked your thread. You start talking about stuff Mom used to make (like the YUMMY salmon patties) and I'm on a ROLL! And I do have to admit that I am half-yankee, but I'm more of a southerner at heart. I always love to say (kinda sad in a way) that the civil wars in my house put the real one to shame. Dad would say "You D... yankee" and Mom would say "Well, you're a D... rebel!" And the fight was ON. But, when the food was served, everyone forgot what they were mad about. And we were taught to say "Thank you, Mom, supper was good" before we'd be excused from the table. Finally as I was getting older, Dad said "Maybe you girls should get out of the habit of saying that, because it won't be long before it's you who did the cooking." LOL Mom then said to Dad that I already do some of the cooking. The look on his face was priceless, because he never knew if I cooked the supper, or if Mom did. It was the secret that Mom and I had. Dad wouldn't eat it, if he knew. He was weird that way. But, Mom had to work full time, and sometimes just didn't have time to get home and get supper on the table, before Dad got home, so she'd call ahead and tell me what to get started. One time Mom called in a panic. She needed to make a gravy for the roast she had in the crock pot and didn't have time to do it, and said, "You've seen me make it a thousand times. You need to do this!", when I panicked and said I don't know how! Well, I messed up the first batch, BIG time. I blumped it into a big huge lump and it was still growing! I scraped it all out of the pan and hid it deep down into the garbage so no one would find it. Then I only had the last half of the au-jus left in the crock pot and tried again! It happened again! (I was using too much flour, but didn't know that) Anyway, I got out Mom's cullender. (the kind that looks like a triangle, with the point at the bottom that's in a stand) and her wood masher (the thing that she used to smash grapes to make jelly. I think Mom called it a pill smasher, lol.) I put a bowl under the cullender, in the sink and started mashing away at that gravy to make it smooth. Then I put it back in the pan and added water to thin it out. There was a LOT of gravy! When we all sat down to eat my Dad couldn't get enough of that gravy! He said, "Alice, I think this has got to be the best gravy you've ever made!" My mother threw her fork down, and stomped out of the room. Dad was like.........."NOW, what did I say?" I went in the living room and laughed my fool head off, thinking to myself.....'I'm in sooooo much troooouble....'! My mother finally told him that I made the gravy. She said, "Ok so what did you do, to make it so good?!" I said, "Oh........nothing Mom. I just made it from watching YOU! " Years later, when I was a grownup and she couldn't spank me anymore, we were having this "Truth be told" conversation and I said, "Hey, remember the gravy?" She remembered, with this side look and said, "Yes, I most certainly DO. How can I forget that one, and what on earth did you DO!" I told her what I did and she got mad all over again, because I wasted so much good gravy!!" Hey, maybe that's where she got her saying, when she was fuddled about something. She'd say "Oh GOOD GRAVY!" OK, I'm going to stop this now, before I split a gasket. (another of Mother's sayings)
Lorrie, before I forget AGAIN, I want to thank you for sending me such a nice and thoughtful Valentine's Day card. Here it is March and I've forgotten to even mention it. And anyone else.....Margie and Lulu and Cindy........if I've forgotten, please forgive me. And thank you to all of you who think of me, because it just helps me to remember that I'm not so much alone, like sometimes I feel.
And if you wanna call me a "Yankee", that's cool. Just don't call me late to supper.
Cindy, I love reading about how you spend your weekends. With the kids, and shopping and all that. That was too cool about being right on the exact penny with your gift card. That's what you call "A God thing". He knew how much you and Bruce didn't like that store, and made it so you didn't have to go back, to use the rest of the money on the card. I always see His work in everything. There's nothing too big for Him, and nothing at all too small. Because those small things are important to us, so they are big things to Him. And finally getting some snow, so that Bruce could take Elijah out in it. I know they both look so forward to that, every year. I hope that Jenn was able to get that knot out for you. Man that is so awful when those things happen. I have to press my back up against a door jamb to get them out, now. I used to have Joshua grind his fist into my back. He was always afraid he was hurting me. When I was a teenager, I'd have my 2 little sisters punch me in the back to make enough pressure to get the knot out. I think they actually enjoyed that a little too much.
I was just now reading back and somehow missed this part of your post, Cindy: Oh, I've got to share what happened when Jenn called to ask me if we'd watch the kids for her too. The kids heard what she said on the phone and besides Elijah and Grace there were several other children in her house at the time. All I could hear was different voices saying, "I want to go to Grandma's house too!" (I know their friends and have met them any number of times and some have been to my house before). And sure enough it was several of their friends that wanted to come too. I laughed and told Jenn to just bring the whole neighborhood. It reminded me of when my kids were young and my house was always filled with their friends because everyone seemed to want to be at my house all the time. It made me feel good that my grandkids friends feel the same way! I love it too that Jenn takes after me in that all the neighborhood kids congregate at her house all the time too.
That was just too cool that all the kids wanted to be at your house. That would make me feel pretty special too. Back, years ago, all my nieces and my nephew wanted to be at my house, every weekend. I always had children's laughter, back before Joshua died. I'm pretty sure they wanted to be there, because of Joshua, but even when he was at his Dad's house, they still came and spent the weekend with me. Then after Josh was gone, my two nieces spent a lot of time with me. They helped me get through some of the worst days. Years later, I told Jess that it was sometimes the only thing that got me through it. She said, "Aunt Cheryl, don't you know that's why I always asked my Mom if I could come over? We needed to take care of you!" I never knew that. And will never forget it, either. I sure wish I had them now. Not as they are now, but how they were, when they were little. Shawn too, but he's no longer with us, either. But, now I can read all the stories of you and Bruce and the children, and I can hear their laughter as they play in the snow, and their giggles when Grandma spoils them, and the children hollering through the phone to go to Grandma's house! Those are sounds one never forgets and it brings me such joy to "hear" them again.
Margie, that's so neat that your granddaughter is joining the Coast Guard. Pretty awesome, actually! I wanted to join the Navy, when I was in High School, but never did. By the time I graduated, I had long forgotten about it, mainly because of how the service men were treated when they came back from Nam. But, I do wish that I had done it. I'm so proud of her. When you see or talk to her again, please tell her "Thank you for your service", for me.
Barbara, you'd probably do well at dog training. Have you ever considered doing it for a hobby? A paying hobby?
Anna, I've been wanting to ask you how you are doing? I know that you are very close to the Mexican border and I have worried for you for years. I read some very harrowing stories, from folks who live near the border and wonder if you have problems, where you are. You said you got snow too. I can't even comprehend your getting snow, so far south. I love to read about your life there, and how you live off the land, with some of the things that grow naturally.
OK, I'm running out of colors, so I'm using the color wheel now. Lulu, have I said that I love those breath taking pictures you are posting? Wow, God's wonders never cease! SO LOVELY! So, if you move to your cousins house, will you be tending sheep and other animals too?
Well..........it's getting late and I need to run an errand. I shouldn't go out, now, but need to get it done. Have a good evening, everyone and may God always be your rear guard in everything you do!

Lorrie! I forgot to tell you that even though I didn't read your post until well after the 5:30est hour, I know the Lord knows who will pray and who will not, and trust that He answered all our prayers! You've raised two very intelligent young men, and with the Lord's guidance, I know they will continue to do well. My prayers are with them, and with you, Sis.

Lorrie, I think about Prairiewoman too. I have one of her paintings so it constantly reminds me of her. I tried many times to get in touch with her, but there's never any reply. I don't know if she moved or simply isn't answering. I do hope all is well with her though.
That's hilarious about the gravy Cheryl! Yes, God is so awesome! He just gave us another miracle yesterday too! I applied for a tax abatement due to being disabled. Well, the lady called me back yesterday and told me that they voted to approve it, pending getting a letter from SS that the check I get is a disability check. (SS said they would mail it right away). I asked her what it mean for us and she said that it means we will never have to pay property taxes again!!!!! That means that I can use our tax refund to pay last years taxes (I had to use that money to survive after Bruce's accident) and that will cover two thirds of it. I should be able to pay off the rest of last years taxes before the end of this year and then we'll never have to worry about it again! I am so very relieved!!!!!
I'm glad I can put a smile on your face by sharing stories of my grandkids Cheryl!

I too remember how servicemen were treated when they returned from Vietnam. That was shameful. And thank you. I will pass on your thanks to my granddaughter. I never meant to imply there was anything wrong with going into any of our armed forces. I just want the best for her. I'm just a Grandma, I guess (sigh)

OH, that is a prayer answered!! I'm so happy that you don't have to pay the property taxes, anymore! Thank you, LORD! It's too bad that they can't forgive the past balance too.
Cindy, any time you need an award letter from SS to confirm what you make, and what type of income you are getting, you can go to ssa.gov and print one from your personal account. Did you know that?

Yes, but this is a special one that's not available that way, and in a way, it's what made this whole thing a real miracle. Prior to very recently, when you became disabled, you were tested and the test determined what percentage you are disabled. The system was set up to say if you lost one eye you were X% disabled, and two eyes was X % and so forth. The way it was set up made it just about impossible for anyone to be 100% disabled. The percentage was also used by insurance companies to determine how much your disability was worth. That too was automatically decided by the percentage. So no one could ask for more then what their percentage of disability was worth. I remember reading the various percentages and the amounts rewarded for them and was appalled! (especially for those who lost eyes or arms or legs, it was crazy!) Like I said, according to that test, you'd have to just about be a vegetable to be declared 100% disabled. I don't remember what percent they said I was, but it wasn't 100%, even though I could no longer work. That had nothing to do with it apparently. In order to apply for the abatement, our tax papers said you could do so if you were a vet, disabled, elderly, or were living in poverty or recently had a crisis that prevented you from paying your taxes. So I was doing it based on that last one - the crisis being Bruce's accident. When I turned in all the paperwork with the application, I explained that to the lady, telling her that we'd paid our taxes on time and in full up till he had the heart attack. That set us way behind and we only got them caught up and paid in 2017. Then, before the bill came for 2018, he had the accident and I had to use the money to survive till he could work again. So we were once again in a hole and I didn't know how we could get out of it. She was very sympathetic and only asked if I'd supplied the papers she needed, including the paper about my disability. I thought she meant the same one I have to give everyone else when asking for help, which is the one for our taxes, so I said yes.
Well she called me the next day and explained that she needed a letter from SS that would state what my percentage of disability was, and that they could only approve the abatement for someone who was 100% disabled! In my mind I kept thinking "The Lord has me covered", so I told her I'd call SS and see if they'd send me one, and I did. The guy there told me that they no longer do that! That as far as they're concerned someone is either disabled or they're not! It was all I could do not to laugh out loud for glee! So I called her back and told her what they said and gave her the number I called so she could check for herself, which she did. God even arranged it so that she spoke to the same man I had spoken to! She called me back and said that after speaking to him she thought they could approve it if they got a letter that simply said that my payment was for disability (normally, that's not on those letters). So I called them back again and asked for the type of letter he told her to have me ask for, with the provision that it state that it's a disability payment, and that's what they're sending me. Maybe I'll even get it today! The lady at our town office was really surprised because even recently they've gotten letters about the percentage of disability, so this was a very recent change - just in time for us to get the abatement!
Oh, and I meant to answer you about my shoulder/arm/back whatever lol that Jennifer worked on for me to relieve the pain. It's gotten worse since then and now the pain goes all the way down into my hand. I'm going to ask the doctor about it and see if there's something they can do, this is just nuts. Jenn offered to pay for a massage for me, but I told her I want to first find out for sure what's causing the pain before I do anything else. While I massage would be nice, I can't stand for anyone to touch my lower back, it's just too painful. Jenn accidentally barely touched it with her other hand when she was working on my upper back. Her hand just barely brushed over it, and I jumped like I'd been electrocuted!
Bruce is home today with neck/head pain again. It doesn't happen very often anymore which is good, but I'll be glad when it doesn't happen at all. I hate to see him in pain! His back is doing well, although it too hurts him once in a while still. The docs said it could take two years before he's completely over this accident. I'm hoping for a lot less then that!
Cheryl, I'll try to call you this weekend, but don't forget, you can call me too!

Oh, I'm sorry Margie! I didn't mean to imply that you thought something was wrong with your granddaughter going into the service! That wasn't my thought at all. It's because I fully understand your apprehension about it. If she were deployed into a war zone, it would be something that I'd fret over too. It's awesome that so many of our youth volunteer to serve, but we can still worry over them. Always! OH, that is a prayer answered!! I'm so happy that you don't have to pay the property taxes, anymore! Thank you, LORD! It's too bad that they can't forgive the past balance too.

That's pretty neat that SS doesn't consider a percentage of disability, once you are covered. Ed had to fill out a questionnaire every year, for his disability and they re-assessed him. He continued to receive it, though. But, when he turned 70, he got a letter from them. After reading it, he handed it to me, with a half smirk on his face. The letter was saying that although he was receiving disability benefits, he is now full retirement age and won't be considered disabled, but his benefit will not be reduced. After I read the letter, I said "Well Ed, you're no longer disabled, you're just old."
Note: Do you notice that those letters NEVER say "entitlement"?
I'm so sorry that Bruce is in so much pain. I too hope and pray that it will be sooner, than later, for his healing to be complete. That was so sweet Cheryl about dog training as a side job.

Barbara, I didn't know that you were still painting! I thought I had read somewhere, where you said you hadn't painted in a long while, so I thought you'd stopped. That's awesome that you still put your talents on canvas.
OH yes, NAPS are an essential necessity! As are your Bible Studies! More so, actually.

You were absolutely right Cheryl, I had hung up my brush......
until......
hubby decided to show off some of my old paintings on facebook ha! He neglected to mention it to me hummmmmm :-) and Lo and Behold....
I started getting requests again.
Actually, I am enjoying it, as it also gives others a tiny bit of happiness, having their pets painted, and I do not feel quite so stressed about it, as I did before I hung up my brush.

Barbara, I cant wait for retirement, I will probably start painting again. Mace has been doing good on our walks. He seems ok with short walks around the block, but he does try to lead me to the park, maybe when it’s dry out we’ll go sit on the hill, but no more walking around the park. I have him well trained, like I said most the time he does as told, but once in awhile, he just goes for it.....he is impulsive, that’s why we walk by ourselves now, so I’m in tune with just him....pitty’s have a much different character then labs, my Stryder never even had to be leashed, my voice could stop him on a dime, Mace, not so much..... welp, Ron’s up! Mace is outside, and I’m still lazing......

Good morning , good afternoon, to coast to coast members. I have been a busy camper. I spent the last 6 days,in the studio, co writing with artists from Nashville, KY, Ohio. I am finally taking a couple of days off. Shirley is back, on the computer, I had to retrain her but she is coming along. We hope everyone has a good weekend. Take care and God Bless.

I would like to start painting again. But, lately my hands hurt SO much that it even is a chore to type. And I type all day long, for a living, and there are days when I feel like I can't take one more letter. Even my clients notice. They notice because they have the same trouble. Yesterday, I tried to open a first aid kit, during our safety inspection, of all things, and my supervisor so elegantly took it from me and opened it. Never said a word. But, she has class, so she never will, in front of someone. Especially the inspector. But, he's pretty cool too, so if he noticed, he didn't let on. It's just that I can't hide it anymore. And to hold a paint brush, I really don't think I can do it, right now. Maybe when this rain and all the cold weather stops, I might be able to do something with myself. I'm just happy to see that you are back to painting, Barbara.
Being lazy this am, we are having coffee and watching TV in bed! The kids are moving, they are spending this weekend in their new place...😃😃😃 Sounds like a nice morning, for you, Lulu. You like the empty nest syndrome, don't you. Barbara, I cant wait for retirement, I will probably start painting again. Mace has been doing good on our walks. Mace is outside, and I’m still lazing...... I can picture you talking to Mace, like he's a person. 'No Mace, you don't behave yourself, so you don't get to go play with the other dogs.' 'You like the park? Well, then play nice!'
I used to have a black lab. She was very territorial. She even went after a skunk one time. OH BOY that was not fun! Good morning , good afternoon, to coast to coast members. Cheryl: it's not that my hands don't hurt from painting, they do....but probably not as much as yours. Then too, I do take pain meds which helps some.
But like you weather does play a role also. Therefore I am looking forward to Spring!!!
I am trying a 'new' help...I hope...green smoothies. I watched a 2 plus hour long video on how to make them so they don't turn out gag worthy, and actually taste good.
There is an 'art' to it, for sure, but I am on day 6 of have 1 quart per day ( they rest of my food remains the same.....I am not just having nothing but green smoothies. ).
I also managed to loose 6 lbs and I was not even trying at all. I need to lose quite a bit more, but God willing, with Spring and summer, perhaps, I will get in some walks!!!

Recently I have seen immigrants. I saw a group of all men quietly waiting near a store that I went in to shop at, they looked clean as the average person, by the time I left the store they were gone. I saw what looked like immigrants from somewhere like Nigeria or Somalia. I most always see young men. These men walked like soldiers, in step with each other, walking in line, close to each other. This you will probably see if you haven't already. Young American living in a van or car standing there with a gasoline can with words on it saying, need gas. They always have paint and stencils to make the letters clear and readable. I parked my car near a young woman who had an old small bus and she did that with the gasoline can. Sat on the ground with a small child and a puppy dog, she was making money from people that stopped to give to her. Her bus would have looked OK except, no kidding, she had the shell only of a red Volkswagen car attached to the top of the bus for decoration. I think to young people this is normal but for me remembering how things used to be I am often surprised by what I see. Young people must need to be creative in a different way now to survive, it is not like 1960 when everyone had a good paying job to work at, with benefits.

That was so sweet Cheryl about dog training as a side job.
However, my health is so up and down, plus,
I am about to do the 5th painting in a 5 painting commission,
plus, I hang out with grandson almost every day after school, until Hossanah ( his mom, our daughter) gets home,
OH!!! and then there are naps...mustn't forget them LOL
And other things, such as Bible Study first every day ( which can take up to several hours some days)
Wow, you've sure been busy, and it's doing something you love, which is great! From Cheryl: "mainly because of how the service men were treated when they came back from Nam. But, I do wish that I had done it. I'm so proud of her. When you see or talk to her again, please tell her "Thank you for your service", for me."
Always!
Cindy, I'll try to call, after I submit this post here. I hope it's not too early, and if I'm catching you in your bible study, I'm hoping you will make sure I know that and just call me back later.

Yep, I did notice that about those letters LOL! And we got the letter we needed! As you know, Bruce brought it in while we were talking on the phone! It was really great talking to you and I'm so very glad you called!
That was good of him to do that for you Barbara! And I know people love what you do for them!Being lazy this am, we are having coffee and watching TV in bed! The kids are moving, they are spending this weekend in their new place...😃😃😃 That's great they got their own place now! You must be excited about that! Is it near by?Barbara, I cant wait for retirement, I will probably start painting again. I was lazy all day Sunday...it felt good!
That's great Mark! It was good of you to show Shirley how to use the computer again. I'm sure she must be enjoying it!You were absolutely right Cheryl, I had hung up my brush......

Shirley is back, on the computer, I had to retrain her but she is coming along. We hope everyone has a good weekend. Take care and God Bless. Mark, were you in the studio in Florida, or are you traveling now? I'm happy to see that Shirley is progressing so well. It can be difficult when we can't do the things we want or need to do anymore. It gets frustrating. Ah well, it will just make us appreciate our new bodies that much more!Cheryl: it's not that my hands don't hurt from painting, they do....but probably not as much as yours. Then too, I do take pain meds which helps some.
But like you weather does play a role also. Therefore I am looking forward to Spring!!!

I can't imagine you losing weight as you don't look like you could stand to lose even one pound! But if you're happy, I'm happy lolRecently I have seen immigrants.
