Good Morning all!
That was a beautiful picture Anna! I love the birds!
Thank you all for your prayers, they're much appreciated.
We have to go to a funeral tonight. One of Bruce's coworkers had been quite ill for the last couple of months and died the other day. It was so sad....I think he was saved though. I'd been praying for him, but I guess the Lord wanted him Home. At least he's not in any pain anymore, so that's good. I've been a busy bee the last two days:
THE DEPTH OF LOVE
The First Christians & You
God is Lord over chaos.
THIS TRIUMPH OF EVIL WILL BE REVERSED.

We're to put others 1st & God will Nourish Us
Are you in the Wilderness?
What Are Your Children Learning from You?

Reasons the Lord will remove us before the Tribulation
Animals in heaven
A lot of these are in response to things I've seen on facebook. It's amazing what people "share" there, not even realizing what they're really saying. And they're all from Christians! But they share cute or clever sayings without really thinking about what they're really saying, and many of them are the total opposite of what the bible teaches! Perhaps not the whole "saying" is, but often at least a part of it is. So often people think these great sayings or clever lists of what's good in life or what everyone should have in their life are true, they don't stop to really think about them and find out if in fact it's what God says is true or not. And yet sadly, many people actually live more by those sayings and lists then they do by what the Bible says. And then you've got the clever people who try and say the bible agrees with those things, because they want it to. They want to be healthy, free from pain, wealthy, wise and happy, and therefore decide that's what God will give people if they would just "claim" it for themselves and "have faith". They say go ahead and be selfish, that's fine! But it's not fine, and not what God teaches us. It's so sad to see so many people eating this stuff up and messing their life up in the process as well as their relationship with the Lord. It's why I can't stand being on facebook very much anymore.

Good morning Cindy I don't know much about facebook, I have never been there but pastor Paul who has a facebook page said last night that he was at facebook and started talking to his wife sitting next to him about the food at olive garden restaurant and at that time an advertisment for olive garden showed up on facebook. He said that facebook has apps that can hear what people say in their homes.

Well you probably hear about upholding of Obamacare
Mark my words I dont' ewant be Debbie Downer
I think Justice Robert and Supreme court going struck down state same sex marriage ban in a lot of state
You hear it first here on FH
I am calling it I'm wondering if Kentucky will fight it. We are a commonwealth and we don't always do what the Feds tell us to do. So far, the state doesn't recognize same sex marriage. Gays cannot file a joint tax return in Kentucky.

I've had to, recently, remove 2 people from my friends list, because I didn't want their junk coming out over my newsfeed. And a couple more will be going, if they don't stop posting quotes from Olsteen and Myers.
One person who I removed, believes in "mind over matter", and told me that she doesn't believe in any higher power, other than the earth itself. Not those words, but that's what I got out of it. But, before I removed her I wrote on a horrible post of hers, this: "You really DO believe in that junk, don't you? I'm sorry, but I can't have this kind of thing coming out over my newsfeed." I tried to witness to her, when I worked with her, this year, and she completely ignored me. Here's something that will lift your spirits, I hope: Good morning Cindy I don't know much about facebook, I have never been there but pastor Paul who has a facebook page said last night that he was at facebook and started talking to his wife sitting next to him about the food at olive garden restaurant and at that time an advertisment for olive garden showed up on facebook. He said that facebook has apps that can hear what people say in their homes. Well, I wouldn't put anything past the guy who founded facebook, but if you don't have your camera or audio automatically activated, then that should never happen. Mine is set to not allow it to automatically come on. BUT, when you are typing something into facebook, whether it's on a page or in private, things do pop up in the margin, relating to key words you are typing. I know that, because it's happened to me.

Have I not posted in here all week?! Well, first and foremost -- congratulations to Jeanette! What exciting news, and girl or boy, it will be wonderful either way!! How far along are you, and how are you feeling? Have you told your parents yet? Has everyone else had a nice week? Did you know that yesterday was "Take Your Wife to Work Day" ?? Not really, but I did go with John to work yesterday. He is moving out of his office because they need the space for another employee and John can work from anywhere, so I went to NC with him to help him move his stuff. It was fun, but we are really getting tired of these 100+ degree temps. Between the extreme hot weather and all that's going on in the news with same-sex marriage (among many other issues) , it feels like we're living under some cloud of doom. And what Anna posted about FB and the technology that seems to let our computers hear what we're talking about is starting to make me paranoid. It's not just FB either. The three of us were driving to a birthday party last night and were talking about ordering a new rearview mirror for the car so John pulled out his smart phone to do a quick search. He clicked on one of the choices, and a note popped up saying that mirror would not fit a 2012 Camry... the model and year of the car were were driving... even though he had not used that criteria in his search. Recently I've noticed that FB will advertise any products I've searched for online; I figure that's just the 'cookies' or whatever it is that tracks what we look up, but things we discuss at home and then see mentioned online is different. At the party last night this very topic came up there also, right after reading Anna's post then the car thing happening. So.... on that cheerful note , what does everyone have going for the weekend?

Even the ads here on Proboards are for things I recently saw on line. Anyone else seeing ads for cell phones and face paint?
Sunday I am going to a bridal shower. We have to leave at 10:00 to get there at noon. The bride has food allergies, so I think I'll be able to eat the food. Yum. Cake.

I saw an ad on Proboard here, to buy tickets for a tour of the Empire State Building, that was after I had looked at that site on-line. I did not notice ads for cell phones and face paint. Enjoy the cake! I like cake.

I too have had ads show up on FB, for things that I've googled. I'd forgotten about that, until it was just mentioned. That's really creepy about the "stupid" smart phone doing that, Lorrie. I don't allow Ads on this site. I have Ad Block Plus (ABP) on my firefox browser, that blocks most ads and all popups. But, if ya'll don't use firefox, there's a link at the bottom of our pages, here, that says if you click on it, it won't allow Ad banners.
Even though, on my Firefox browser, I have "Tell sites I don't want to be tracked" checked, it still tracks me, sometimes. But, I do use 2 browsers for certain things. But, if I see ads, I don't click on them.
There is one thing about FB, that not everyone knows about. All of those "Share if you agree" and "like and share" type posts are money makers. For every like and share for their graphics and junk, they earn money for them. One way to give you a clue, if this is what they are doing, click on their name instead and see how many friends they have. If they are in the 4 digits for friend count, it's a good bet that they are making money, from shares. NO ONE has that many "friends". Not even us here at Fresh-Hope.
But, everyone needs to go into their control panel and check to see if their microphone and camera are able to be activated, at will. Computers come with that, by default. You can check "Ask me if a site wants to use my camera/microphone" in windows XP. That way, you will know about it, and can get out of that site, asap. (I don't have XP anymore, though, but I know many here, still do. Mine crashed a couple months ago.)
To disable the camera and microphone in Windows 8.1, you go to [control panel], click on [device manager] and find your microphone (right click and choose "properties") and disable it under the "Driver" tab, by clicking on [disable], The system will warn you that by disabling this feature, will cause it to not function. That's what you want so click [OK]. Find your web camera and disable it, the same way. Now, if you use Skype or similar type web calling, then you will not be able to, if you disable these two devices.
Don't use speech Recognition on your computer or smart phone. Disable Remote Assistance: Go to [Control Panel], click on [system], go to the "Remote" tab and uncheck "allow remote assistance on this computer".
I hope this helps at least one person.

OH, and beware of those surveys that everyone seems to be addicted to. I have my suspicions about those things. If you do enough of them, they know more about you than you realize yourself. It's all from the same site, so they undoubtedly also collect your IP address, so they know who you are every time you go there and answer their questions, on different subjects. And when they ask "What is your mother's maiden name"; "Where were you born"; "which pet do you own or like most"; and questions similar to that, realize that those are the SAME exact password questions that you use to obtain a lost password. No one can convince me that this isn't an identity theft scam. I tried to warn my family, who seems to love doing these surveys and they just tell me I'm paranoid. WHATever.

Hi Sukie, it's great to see you! That's so strange about the ads on the board here. I didn't realize any of you saw ads, because I too use firefox and don't see them. I see them on my kindle, but thought it was the kindle, not the board lol. Now I know better. Oh well, part of the price we pay for not having our own board.
That's too bad about that woman not listening to you Cheryl. I wish she had. But who knows, maybe the Lord will water the seeds you planted in her and they'll come to fruition one day...maybe after the rapture, but hopefully before hand. Thanks for the video, that's really neat! I love miracles!
I've been studying Ezekiel and I've been on Ezekiel 38-39 for the last several days. I've been trying to put the pieces together between those two chapters, The tribulation, Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, and Joel 3:2 etc to figure out what happens when. I was going to write my findings here, but I guess I should post it in the end times forum... So let me go do that real quick and then I'm going to spend some time with Bruce. Love you guys!

Good Morning all!
Congratulations on your anniversary Lulu! That's wonderful you got to celebrate it that way! And thank you for your prayers, I knew you'd understand.
Congratulations on your pregnancy Jeannette! That's great!
Well, I thought I was going to spend a nice relaxing day with my hubby yesterday, but no more then 15 minutes after I sat down with him then we got company that stayed the rest of the day! It was nice to see her though. But, just before she came over, I got a call telling me that my oldest son is in the hospital. He's got a bad infection and they can't figure out where it is or what's causing it.
Today's going to be busy. Angel's sick again with a cold so we have to run up to the vets when Bruce gets off work to pick up an antibiotic for her. I've already got her on prednisone, but she'll be taking both for the next week anyway and then I'll have to wean her off the prednisone again.
After we pick up her med, we're going to run over to the hospital to see Michael. Which reminds me, I need to call him again and see if he wants me to bring him anything. So somehow, I have to figure out how to have supper all done before we leave at 3:30 so that all I'll have to do when we get home is warm it up for Bruce. Shouldn't be too hard as we're having chicken and the rest I can make while it's warming up again.
I also need to call workers comp so they can get me another back pillow since mine has died. I have a bunch of other chores to do today too, so I don't have too much time to be here today.
But I wanted to share what I posted yesterday for you all too:
My Timeline of What's Going to Happen Next
Daymond Duck: Watch the Trees
Hope you enjoy them!

Good Morning all! We got everything done yesterday. I got to see my boy for a little bit. Bruce was concerned as the RA lowers our immune systems, but I assured him that I'd wear a mask and wash my hands etc. He's in pretty bad shape. I told Michael what my friend Laura had told me. It seemed like much too strange of a "coincidence" for it not to have some meaning. Her father was admitted to the hospital, a couple of weeks ago for what sounds like the same thing Michael's going through. The doctors said he had a bad infection but they couldn't find out where it was, or what was causing it; just exactly what the doctors in our hospital told Michael! Especially since they're both living in different areas. Michael told me though that if they can't figure it out fairly soon, they're going to transfer him to a Boston hospital.
I need to call my youngest son today, as it looks like he's going to be home soon! I can hardly wait to see him! Michael had talked to him more recently then I had, which is how I found out that he's been acting on it more then I thought he had.
My grandaughter Jessica is really in a bad place. I don't mean physically, although that's true too, but mentally and spiritually she is. My heart just aches for her. I've always prayed for her, and always will, but I'm quite concerned about her. I know though that the Lord has His Hand on her, if for no other reason than my prayers, and that's a huge comfort to me, because I know His Word always accomplishes what He sends it out to do. I may not be able to see the results yet, and may not for some time, but I can rest assured that He's working on her heart. It's hard to see all the poison coming out of her, but then again, I guess it always has to come out before we can be healed.
Well, guess I'll go see if anyone's posted anything. See you all later I hope.

Hi everyone! Sukie, glad you remembered us!! How have you been doing?
Hope everyone's week is going well. Cindy, I am sorry to hear that Michael is so sick; that is concerning that they know it's an infection, but not where it is or how he got it. There are so many strange illnesses these days. A friend came down with a severe C-diff infection last week. She is a single mother, and she posted on FB that she's very independent and hates asking for help, but she was unable to fix food for the kids and needed help. She doesn't know how she got C-diff, as she had none of the risk factors, but I did some reading and it is on the increase for people with no risk factors, and it's usually very severe in those people also. Anyway, I'll pray that they can determine what's going on with Michael and get him on the appropriate meds.
Also, sorry to hear about Jessica. (She's the one with the baby?) It is such a hard day & age & culture for young people to grow up in. Saying a prayer for her also. And for you too, as you try to help her.
When you mentioned earlier about wanting to find work, and how you would love to teach the Bible except you wouldn't do that for pay, I wondered if there are any Christian schools in your area who would hire you to teach Bible? Or even a homeschool co-op or something like that? That would be perfect for you and of course a school would pay you. {Even if you don't get to do that now, maybe that will be your assignment during the Millennial Kingdom! I've heard Dr. McGee say he loves teaching the Bible and hopes the Lord will allow him to do that during the Millennium and beyond.} Praying for the Lord's provision.
Lulu, happy anniversary, and it sounds like you two had a really nice weekend together. I am so glad!
Margie, it's hot here too, day and night - try and keep cool!
Cheryl, thanks very much for posting instructions on how to disable the camera and microphone; I'll have to study up on it. I just had to ask Daniel and he says our computer has Windows 8.1, so thanks to you I know now how to take care of it! My laptop is a Mac though, so will have to figure that out. I'm not familiar with the surveys that you mentioned (asking all the personal questions), so maybe I haven't done those, although I do like some of the 'for fun' ones... things like "How Southern are you?" but those just ask silly questions so hopefully they're safe.

Hello everyone. Lulu and Ron, I don't remember if I wished ya'll a happy anniversary, but I am now. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Awesome that you were able to use your coupon. I love it when the Lord works things like that for us.
I hope you got the rain storm you were hoping for!
Lorrie, lol, congratulations for figuring out how to disable the microphone on your computer. I'm happy I was able to help you with that.
Cindy I'm so sorry about your son's illness. I've been praying for the Lord to lead his doctors to understanding what is happening to him. I am praying for the Lord to heal Michael.
I'm sorry that Angel is sick again. I hope the kitties don't get affected in any way.
Praise the Lord that your other son will be coming home. Is it for good, or just for a visit?
James! Good to see you!!
Cindy, thank you for posting all the threads you've created. I've not gotten through all of them, but try to look at a few each night.
Daniel, your efforts have not gone unnoticed. Thank you for posting all the news threads for us.
Jeanette, I noticed, yesterday that you made your "official" announcement on facebook, so it's now OK to blab about your news? Right? I saw the sonogram or whatever it's called, that you posted, but as usual, I can't make heads or tails out of it. (no pun intended)
Well Kelly, our "wondering" is over. Kentucky was forced into the national law, but today I got the most uplifting news that just made my day. There are some counties in our state, who's clerks are refusing to issue marriage licenses in protest to the forced legislation, stating their religious views appose the new law. They are not discriminating, because they aren't issuing them to ANYONE. I just love Kentucky! I LOVE the Lord, and it's so good to see those who are not afraid to stand up and fight for HIM!!
OH I just messed up and almost lost this entire post!! I clicked on a name, rather than copying it and lost the entire, everything that I was typing above! and then I remembered reading in that thread you have here, Cindy, about the draft saving on this board, and I had done what you said to do. But, I didn't have the foggiest idea of how to find the draft. LOL, so I went and read it again and you said to just click on a new reply and it would let me know there's a draft waiting to be restored. It was there! That was such a wonderful relief. Thank you!
Anyway, carrying on.........lol
Hello Sukie! Glad you joined us!
Margie, I've been staying inside a lot lately too. I go out once in a while, but for the most part, I'm in hibernation.
Well, now that I've got my post back, I'm not going to push it any further. Besides, I asked Ed to try and get me up early as I'd like to do a load of laundry before I go to work. Wednesday is the day I get to work. And then tomorrow we have to go to the VA, so nothing will get done then. And it's almost 3:30 in the morning, so I guess I'd better get to bed so Ed can wake me up, huh?

Good Morning all!
Thank you for the prayers! Yes, Jessie's the one with the baby. I'm afraid she's got a very hard life in front of her the way she's headed.
Lulu, I"m sorry, we must have gotten your storms. We've had thunderstorms since last night and it's continuing all day.
The weather's made everyone worse. I'm wheezing and so is Elijah. Angel was doing much better yesterday till this front moved in and now she's wheezing more too. Oh well, hopefully we'll all be better when it goes away.
Yeah, that's a great little feature isn't it Cheryl? It's saved me a number of times already!
As far as I know, Christopher's coming home for good this time. He's moving back home. I hope it will be good for him.
Oh, I'll tell you something to make you smile. Just as I was about to close my browser to turn off my computer yesterday, I noticed that I had a message on facebook from my son's wife. So I clicked on it and began talking to her as she's going through a hard time too and was quite upset. After awhile, all of a sudden my screen went blank and I couldn't see a thing! I was frantic because she had just replied to me just before it went blank and I didn't want her to think I was ignoring her. I tried everything to get it to work, but to no avail. So I frantically called Jenn to ask her to go on facebook and tell her what had happened, but Jenn wasn't home. I was at my wits end when all of a sudden it came to me: "You have a kindle dodo head! Use it!" I couldn't believe I'd forgotten that I could use it to talk to her on facebook!
Hope you all have a good day today! Don't work too hard!

It's already too hot to be outside. What kind of cake Margie? I want a piece of cake! In fact, seeing as how Lulu and Ron just had an anniversary, a celebration cake is in order! Morning everybody. I have the carpet cleaners coming over in a few minutes to clean the carpet in our bonus room (or the "FROG" as it's called here in SC -- "finished room over garage"). Unfortunately Thunder has had some accidents in that room and although I've done my best to clean it up, the carpet is light and the stains still show, so professional cleaning helps. Daniel helped me move most of the stuff out of that room, and we got it vacuumed and ready. That's what's happening here.

Good Morning all!
I've never heard that term before Lorrie Hope they're able to get the stains out for you!
Cake does sound good.... I was thinking of making one too when I read your post, but then remembered that Bruce has to see our rheumatologist today, so I won't be able to as I have to go with him.
I hope everyone's having a good day today!

Leigh: " What kind of cake Margie? I want a piece of cake!"
I always buy Jiffy Golden Yellow Cake Mix because it makes a small one-layer cake. The regular size of Betty Crocker cake mixes are just too large for the two of us. I add a shake of nutmeg or sometimes cinnamon. I can add small cans of drained fruit, pecans or about 1/2 cup of coconut. I like a slice with my morning coffee.
Went to a funeral this morning for the husband of a friend in Sunday School. He was 95 years old and a veteran of WW II. One of the family momentoes displayed was the original Western Union telegram sent to his mother informing her that he had been in a plane crash in 1943. I had never seen an original Western Union telegram before.
My daughter and her kids are coming over tomorrow. We'll go out to lunch wherever the kids want.
Hugs to all.
