Bruce is worse then my kids though he kept bugging me to try and find out if Jenn was making him more cookies for Father's day, but I wouldn't tell him!
That is cute!! I sure hope Jenn makes him some, or he's going to be mighty disappointed!
As a matter of fact, I totally forgot to do anything for my own daddy for Father's Day.... I called my mom last night and told her about it and she said, "Oh, well don't worry about it. At our age we forget things all the time. I forgot about our anniversary [which was this past Wednesday] until Jim walked in with a card for me that morning." {AS he brought her her morning cup of tea, which he has done for YEARS now -- does she have it made or WHAT?!?} Poor Daddy!
{And thanks to those of you who wished my parents a happy 53rd anniversary in response to my post on FB.}
Well Daniel got home from youth camp yesterday; we could tell he was home because, right away, one of his socks appeared in the middle of the family room floor.
(And why only one sock and not the pair? No wonder we have so many SINGLE socks around here. I believe trying to match socks with no matches could be an underlying cause of insanity. I spent quite a bit of time trying to match piles of unmatched socks on Wednesday and felt close to a nervous breakdown by the time I quit. )
Anyway... our weather forecast for the week ahead is as follows:
Today - 97 Sunday - 100 Monday - 101 Tuesday - 100 Wednesday - 100 Thursday - 99 Friday - 97 (that'll seem like winter by this point ) Factor in the humidity and it will feel even hotter.
So, what else do each of you have planned for your weekend? So far we know that...
Cindy is cleaning Bruce is [hopefully] eating homemade cookies Dogstaff is relaxing because her grandchildren took care of the chores Jetheb is moving soon, if not this weekend Cheryl is probably gardening and/or cooking Kel is helping David at her mom's house Lulu is having a Jazzy weekend (right?) Anna is killing rattlers
How about Catt, Ruthanne, Sevenofnine, Mark.... anyone else?

Good day Next week I will be walking on egg shells around Art's dog when I go to help Ron do some work on the air plane in Art's barn. One of Art's german shepherd dogs growls at me, but not at Ron.

Oh my, be careful Marlene, and let's all pray for your safety this week. {I'm scared of dogs and that would make me! }

Thank you for the prayers My mother was once attacked by a german shepherd dog and had to go to the doctor to get a shot. I once had a german shepherd dog in Key Largo try to attack me but I made it inside my car in time, still though his head was inside the car as I was rolling up the window.

Seven, It is sad to see wild fires burning and so difficult for a person to breathe when they are down wind from a wild fire that is burning. When we lived in Jacksonville FL we knew a guy that was from Juno Alaska his name was Ward Eldridge. He rebuilt an old schooner boat and sailed it back to Juno to do fishing. He did die there while fishing in the Alaska waters when the schooner boat broke up in the water there.

Reason is because that part of Alaska hardly got a cold winter so it pretty dry and hot there this year this going be worst Alaskan summer fire season ever to date
My uncle been telling me for a year yes Alaska getting warm because of climate and stuff everybody getting warmer not only in Alaska if Alaska glaciers go the sea level be really high in the future
What going really effect Alaskan whalier up in Barrow AK who supply the meat in Native villages

Leigh/Lorrie, I made a blackbean and corn salad. Did my dishes and went to pick up my Mom. We went to my sisters house for lunch. My other sister was there too, along with my great niece, who is 4 years old. I got back around 5:00. Tomorrow there is church. Then a visit with my Dad for father's day. I designed a card for him. I hope it works when I go to print it.
PS Thanks for asking!

Rain showers again this afternoon.
We were at a soccer game for our son's boy yesterday afternoon. Had lunch in the old part of Frisco, a town in Collin County that was just a small farm town when we lived in the bigger (at the time) town of Plano. The giant Nebraska Furniture Mart is not too far away, but we were too tired to stop there. That store would be an all-day trip.
Hope everyone is doing good. Hugs.

I was up late again, last night. So, I slept until about 10:30 this morning. I wish I'd stop letting myself fall back into my old sleeping schedule. But, I'm up now. And Ed got outside, at sun up and mowed the lawn. He was just finishing it up, when I got up. I feel so bad for not being out there to help him. I always tell him to wake me up, but he doesn't.
It's been pretty hot here. Yesterday, the air was so thick, it was exhausting just to step out into it. I want to get my flower box done, but when I have to stop after each rock, to catch my breath, I don't need to be out there.

Well I see I can't set my posts bigger or bolder yet. : -SI will figure it out eventually.When I get around to reading the how to thread.But it did work for me on the default skin, but I love this skin :).I just popped in to tell y'all the internet comp.worked it so my price will stay what it was for a year.They did this after I told them I was thinking of trying a new phone.Sheila told me she bought a box for a one time charge and every month she goes and buys a 15.00 phone card at Wal-mart and she has unlimited calls a voicemail and caller ID and it is a home phone.You can even pack up your box and take your home phone where ever you are going and plug it up there.To just a regular plug-in. I am also very excited to hear Jeanette's news.Congratulations! Cheryl, I feel so bad for you.It's very hard to learn you can't do what you used to, so you still try.Then you have to accept it, cause you have made it worse by ignoring it.I confess I am guilty and wish I had gone in sooner to find out about it.I pray God will please give you some insurance and SOMEBODY will take care of Ed's pain >:D Hi to everyone else.I will be back soon.Love Ruthanne

Congratulations, Jeanette!
Hot here again - 95 degrees! My hubby goes to a Silver Sneakers exercise class on Wednesdays and today I went with him because we ate lunch at a restaurant afterwards. I went to my regular exercise class yesterday morning, so this second class wiped me out. We came home and took a nap.
Hope everyone is doing good. Hugs.

Mark here!! Sorry for the time away but we are moving two blocks from where we have been living. Our brother in law, bought a 6 bedroom house to fit everyone. Shirley and I are moving to a much bigger room, Praise God! Change is a huge problem with my wife but we are slowly getting her prepared. As for our weather, we have heat warnings out starting tomorrow. Hello Summer!! 93 Thurs, 97 Fri, 100 Saturday, and in the 90's all next week. Oregon has not had a drop of rain in the last 14 days. Not good for the crops. I hope every one's week is going good and all of you are always in my prayers. Take care and God Bless!

Good Morning all!
Yes, Jenn made Bruce his chocolate chip cookies so he's in heaven
I finally got to see my doctor. They had to postpone my appointment last week as they had an emergency, which was fine with me. I was just glad it was me they had to cancel as my appointment wasn't important, it's just a check up and for once I had only good news for him lol.
I do have a problem though. I have to find a way to make at the very least $350 a month in order to be able to pay for the very basics that we need.... you know, so we can continue to eat, have electricity and take our meds, that sort of thing. Nothing extra or special, just the very bare basics of life. I've been pleading with the Lord to let me work again, but so far He's continued to say no, and when I've tried to anyway, as usual, there's been no response. (big surprise there huh?) He's really helped my back the last couple of months though and made it so that after all these years of dreading bed time that I can finally sleep in peace without the fear of agonizing pain in the morning, so I do feel better. I still have pain, and still can't walk far or stand up for very long, but at least I can sleep again without fear and wake up feeling half way normal. So, I thought, just maybe He'd let me work again, just a little, but as I said, so far it's been a no go. I asked Him if I could work as long as I made sure I did my job here every day. He hasn't answered that one yet, so I"m still hoping. But I've also told Him that I want to be in His perfect will not His permissive will. But the bottom line is that we have to have that money and honestly even that won't be nearly enough except to take care of the basics. We're still going to need some major miracles as our car is dying -actually it's close to death right now, and we desperately need a new one; and we're two years behind on our house taxes and a few doctor bills as well. I did a no no this month and splurged and got our meds and food we needed so now we're behind on our electric and phone bill too. Thankfully next month is a 5 week month so we'll have an extra pay check and I can catch those up if I stay away from the food If the Lord will let me, I want to put a sign up in the park here asking for work doing housekeeping or babysitting. Both will cause a lot of pain, but I've got the morphine for that and can't think of anything else I could do. What I'd like to do is teach God's Word, but I couldn't charge money for that even if anyone was interested, so that's out of the question. (besides which, I'm sure no one's interested anyway)
I'm telling you all this finally, because I could sure use some prayer if you have the time; both for financial help and provision and for me to hear the Lord's answers clearly. Thanks everyone!
Now for some good news! Bruce's cousin, Lynn, brought over a bunch of canned goods awhile ago: about 20 bags stuffed full of them! She got them from a neighbor in Maine where they have a summer camp. I think I told you all the story about the guy who had two 18 wheeler trucks that he parked at a grocery store and asked them to put their dented cans in his trucks rather then in the dumpsters, so they did. But when he took the trucks to an empty lot and put up a sign for "Free Food", the police stopped him and said he couldn't do it because he didn't have a permit. So he tried to give them to the food pantry there but they wouldn't take them because they were dented! These are all perfectly good food, with expiration dates in 2016, or later! So he told all his friends to bring their trucks over and fill them up with the cans and take them home and give them out to friends or people they knew, which is how we got the food, cause Lynn brought it here from Maine. I got lots from the first batch and so did my daughter Jenn, and she gave a lot away to her friends too. Then a couple of weeks later I asked Lynn if she had anymore as I'd discovered another person who needed some. She didn't then, but her daughter brought some down last week, just 6 bags full she had left over, and Lynn gave those to me. So I called the friend I new about, but couldn't get hold of her; so I called my neighbors and the president of our park and people started coming for the food! Everyone was so thankful and I only wished I had more to give them. I told them that when Lynn brought me the next regular load though that I'd give them each a call so they could come and do more "shopping" for free. I've been thanking the Lord for allowing me to participate in giving out the food. It's been such a big blessing to so many people here! It's kind of funny because I know they're so grateful for it, and yet I'm the one that's being blessed the most of all by being able to give it away!
We've been having thunderstorms which have kept me off line, so I apologize for that. And I've been looking for work too so that's taken up some of my time as well. But I'll be here as much as I can. I just probably won't be on facebook much. It gets me too upset when I see people posting stuff about God that's lies, and when I know they're only teaching the world's truth and not God's Truth. They're the ones who like to tickle people's ears with what they want to hear, and to me it's just plain sickening. I really can't handle it, so it's better not to be there. If people want to know the truth, they can come here or to one of the other places where the truth is taught.

We are blessed to see answer to prayer for Mark and John. I pray also for FH members, but mostly when I am led by the Lord to pray for them and then it is usually one at a time as I feel led to do.
Hi Ruthanne, good to hear from you, Cheryl, how do you like your smartphone? Good day Catt, where is Cidny? She must not have internet access. I have been reading history, I read about Sam Adams the 2nd president and his good friendship with his wife and also about the Empire State Building, built during the Depression, the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel was torn down so that the Empire State Building could be built in its place. You may be wondering why I pick such subjects to read about, I don't know either. The old pictures of the men that were building the building and not using safty gear, walking on skafling, boards, or beams was intersting to see. Men now days would never work on a building like they did back then. Cindy, we posted at the same time.
