I have not noticed pink stuff where I am, but then I never go to a city so I probably wouldn't notice it just in the area where I am at. Cindy I typed in a prayer request at a church, Paul's on-line site, where many good people are in the chat room there and it is group prayer for all prayer requests. I did not know you had Sjogrens or what it is, maybe I once knew and forgot. At Paul's site they sent a prayer blanket to a woman with serious health problems and she was healed. Yes, it will be so nice to have new bodies when we get to Heaven. I long for the rapture everyday. I wonder if putting baby oil in your eyes would help with the dryness. I don't know yet what color I am painting the kitchen wall, I went to the shed and found interior paint and all of the cans are white paint. I don't want white, every room in this home has white walls, but one is dark blue yuk. I will have to buy some paint. I don't know why but Ron never lets me paint, he says I can't paint and I disagree, we have had that disagreement for 20 years. We used to have to paint apartments when people moved out. I like to paint once in a while and it is just an old mobile home, so I don't understand why he is so stubborn. So now I will have to wait on him to get the painting done. Art who will be 90 years old this summer has had a motorcycle in his garage not in running condition, for 30 years. Now Ron is helping him to get the motorcycle running, it just needs a few new parts and Art can ride the motorcycle. It amazes me what all that guy can do at his age.

Ron and I have had that going on also, the inside is all white save one wall, or dirty white now, we both want to paint, but never find the time to put aside and do, we need to take a week off just to do something like that! or a few days at least...I would love fall colors on at least one wall of every room...a few years back I did get to paint one kitchen wall, yellow....would love to do more....ugh.. Ron's off to work this AM, will be home early afternoon...then we have the rest of the weekend, which for us will last thru Tuesday! we'll be taking a lot of 's I'm sure! but for right now, I've got the laundry going, watching the news, and . Mace is waiting for his , so that's gonna happen in a bit....it's very foggy out this AM here...but not cold, chilly....nice...the kids are not awake yet! so it's been a quiet morning....

I have a question that's probably really stupid but I hope someone knows the answer. What is is with all this "pink" stuff I see now? It's written on clothes that generally are not pink, and is everywhere. What does it mean???? Just posting this on this page in case others didn't see it before....Pink stuff? I don't know, unless it has something to do with breast cancer awareness?? Cindy, thank you for the explanation about what is going on with your eyes; I figured it was the Sjogren's. Terrible too about the increase in UTIs you are experiencing. I agree, those new heavenly bodies are going to be AWESOME!! Speaking of that, I need to get ready; John has a GI appointment in a few minutes and he's letting me go with him; the doctor wants to start him on biologics, and I have typed out a page of questions to ask! Talk to you all later. I admire those who are willing to try the biologics. To be honest, they scare me to death, but then so do the DMARD's. Since I wound up allergic to one of them and another didn't do anything at all, I've just gone back to my old way of thinking that I'd rather not put any other chemicals into my body. I'm too scared of the possible side effects.
That's what I thought the pink meant at first too, but now I'm not so sure as I've seen some news articles with that in it, and it makes me wonder if it's not related to homosexuality or something like that.

My kids were the same way about me and painting LOL. I guess they still are, but I think I did a pretty good job on this house. That's neat that Art is still doing all that at his age!Ron and I have had that going on also, the inside is all white save one wall, or dirty white now, we both want to paint, but never find the time to put aside and do, we need to take a week off just to do something like that! or a few days at least...I would love fall colors on at least one wall of every room...a few years back I did get to paint one kitchen wall, yellow....would love to do more....ugh.. Well, I'm going to try and take it easy today, maybe that will help...but still want to post some stuff.

Cindy you invited Lulu to come and paint your walls, but you did not invite me to paint your walls. LOL just kidding. I am going to have to buy a new cellphone track phone next month. I could probably upload pictures from a new cellphone. I could now from Ron's phone if I wanted to. I don't know what cellphone to buy, not a smart phone, I will look at amazon next month and pick one. Lulu it looks like you took that picture of your dog swimming in the water with your cellphone. I like that picture of your dog swimming in water, I don't know if that is a lake or the ocean. Leigh, are you agreeing with what the doctor has to say about biologics? Maybe there is a lot of pink stuff at stores right now for Valentines Day sales. I did see chocolate cupcakes with pink and purple frosting on them, yum they looked good.

Stayed home today - no wrestling matches or soccer games. Had to pick up new hearing aids yesterday. The old ones just quit working. I'm glad they were still under warranty.
Hope you're feeling better, Cindy. Hugs to all.

that pic of Mace in the water was the ocean, and it is from a cell phone, but not mine, Rebecca took it with her cell phone...I do NOT want a new fancy cell phone..I just want a phone! mines an old flip phone.... it's been a nice Saturday, got all the laundry done, and was able to go to the dog park with boy, then we went grocery shopping! now we are kicking back and boy is asking for his last walk for the day....

Anna, you're always welcome to come pain my house too! LOL
While it's 72 for you Lulu, today when I woke up, it was 16 below 0! Talk about cold! I haven't been able to warm up yet, and it's warmed all the way up to 3 below 0 now. Typical weather for us, but since we haven't had really cold weather this year yet, no one is really ready for it. Well, ready or not, it's here, at least for yesterday and today.

Happy Valentine's Day everybody! Our church had a Valentine's banquet on Friday night, which was really nice. It was held at a location away from the church, in a sort of rustic banquet room on a little private island on Lake Murray. They had a catered dinner for us, followed by a little bit of dancing for anyone who wanted to dance. Now, being a lifelong Baptist I've never really been a dancer (and typically in years past Baptists would NEVER think of dancing at a church function , but apparently standards have relaxed a bit!), but they played mostly old love songs (such as Moonlight Serenade) and tried to get people to get up and dance. I didn't want to, but John did, and it was actually lots of fun -- not to mention, good exercise after that big dinner! They also played the Hokey Pokey; now that was GREAT fun!! They also had a light-hearted, good-natured, rated-G version of the Newlywed Game, so everybody did a lot of laughing over the answers to questions they asked. All in all it was a near-perfect night!
Attended a baby shower yesterday for a little girl who was born about six weeks prematurely, but is home now from NICU and is up to a whopping five pounds. Went to church this morning and had both my boys here for lunch (John too, of course), and now am about to fall asleep for Sunday nap.
Hope you all are having a nice Valentine's weekend and will try and talk to each of you soon.

Hi ladies. I saw from a news source today that at the three major banks a person can now use their cellphone at the ATM instead of using a credit card or a debit card. Leigh, good to read about the fun you had dancing with John on Valentines day.
I subscribe to a Danish Christian woman's site and she has a video where she is dancing at her farm and worshiping the Lord. Not so much dancing as waving her arms in the air and has music playing. It is a nice video to view, she suggest that others do the same also.
I'm cooking dinner now, almost done, bye for now.

Good Morning all! Leigh, your valentines day sounds perfect! I would have really enjoyed being there too!
Anna, it's amazing how far technology has come isn't it? When I think of the folks I took care of for so many years and that the telephone and electricity, cars, and airplanes were new and amazing to them, and what's available now, it's just mind boggling...just like God's Word said it would be.
Jenn, Bob and the children came over for a couple of hours to visit, but didn't stay for dinner like they usually do. I just wasn't up to it, but was glad to get to visit with them and enjoy the children for a bit. My valentines gift was Bruce doing the shopping for us so that I didn't have to go and that was fantastic! I really needed the break. So we spent the day relaxing for the most part. And that's pretty much how I plan to spend today too. Bruce has the day off like most folks do for the holiday, so he's watching an old movie of some sort.
Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your day off Lulu!

Hello. Once a year I walk along the dirt road near my home and pick up the trash that is thrown off the side of the road, so I won't have to look at it and also I take out a mesquite bush that has thorns, that grows on the road also. So I did that and I also read about autoimmune disease. I was able to learn as best I could why my body has the problems it does. About heredity, genetics, free radicals, oxidation, and the break down of the cells with aging. Cindy do you have in your area the option of grocery delivery to your home, or drive up and pick up option that you could use? There are meals in a bag in the frozen section of the store that taste good. I tried them in the past and thought they were good, I don't buy them now though. That would be good to have when you have company, you could open the bag and warm up a meal in pot.

Hello everyone. It's been a cold, rainy President's Day here in SC. It was a school holiday for Daniel, but he worked a five hour day shift at Chick Fil-A, then turned around and went back a couple of hours later to fill in for someone tonight. John and I had a lazy day here at the house, went and walked through Lowe's and Kirkland's just to get out for awhile, then picked up a pizza to bring home for our supper. We ate it by the fire and watched a couple of Andy Griffith Show re-runs.
Anna, was today your annual trash pick-up day? Have you been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder also (RA?)? I have learned so much about RA just by being in the FH pain forum over the years. I had no idea how terrible it is until reading Cindy's posts about it - not just what she experiences, but also the articles she's posted. My John has Crohn's, which is why I mentioned the biologics his GI wants him to take. He wants him to begin Humira (which is also the one I had decided might be best after researching the different ones), that is IF we can get insurance approval and coverage. It is outrageously expensive, but the infusion-type biologics are even worse.
Cindy, it's good that you were able to get some R&R yesterday (and hopefully today too), and how sweet of Bruce to do the grocery shopping for you. Glad that you got to spend time with Jenn's family yesterday, even if they didn't get to eat with you. Anna's idea about the freezer meals is a good one, which you may already do anyway, especially when you have company. Do you have any snow on the ground yet?
Anna, that's interesting about being able to use cell phones at certain bank ATMs, in place of cards. I haven't heard about that, although our bank lets us deposit checks by taking a photo and texting it in; don't know if that is common everywhere, or not. Lulu, it's your birthday eve!!!!! Have you had a nice holiday today, and you still have one more free day to go - you lucky thing!! Hope you're enjoying your time off and getting some things done.
Lets all have a piece of cake to celebrate:
Margie, good that you got your hearing aids replaced. My sister-in-law used to work for a little hearing aid shop and would tell me about it; I had no idea they were so expensive!
In case you all haven't heard, Jeanette had her baby boy on Valentine's Day: Evan Dee, born at 11:48 am. 10 lbs 6 oz, 21.65 inches long. Congratulations to Jeanette and your whole family!!!

Hi I am done with picking up trash mostly bottles and cans. I do that during the winter so I can safely reach my hand down to get the trash without getting an unwelcome surprise. Last week I went to the north and picked up trash also. I saw a lot of white feathers on the ground, it was in the same area I once before saw many feathers on the ground, nothing but feathers, after that when I was walking someone shot off a powerful gun four times, maybe a shot gun, I heard a whistle sound from the gun after the shots. A whizzing sound, that made me feel nervous. On my way back home I saw half of a dead carcass of a smaller animal.
To answer your question Leigh, I have to closely watch my diet because certain foods like yeast and more can cause my immune system to attack my thyroid, which I already have thyroid damage from that happening before I knew to change my diet, also to watch that my immune system does not go on the attack somewhere else, like the liver. I think it is just old age.
Yesterday Ron went to town and saw a man laying face down on a dirt road. There were two sheriffs there and some people there, and an hour later on his way home people were still gathered there but the body was gone. Don't know what happened, maybe we will find out soon.

Hi Lorrie! Congrats to Jeannette! Yes, all those biologics and really all the RA meds (which are pretty much the same as the ones they use for Crohn's or any autoimmune disease I guess) are super expensive. Oh yeah, there's some snow on the ground, though not much. Bruce spent several hours on the snowmobile yesterday, which is a good thing since it may be the first and last time he'll get to ride it. Because although it snowed a very little bit yesterday, and has been super cold for the last week (way below 0), today it's already up to 50 and everything is melting, and rain is on the way. Talk about super crazy weather, huh? The only places with any decent amounts of snow are on the mountains in the ski resorts where they're making snow daily, or at least they were. They obviously won't be able to today though. So after a week of way below 0 weather, it appears that we're going to have a week of weather that's way above normal, generally in the high 40's to 50. Well, except for one day, right in the middle when it's supposed to have a high of 32. You know, just to throw everyone off.
I'd love a piece of Lulu's birthday cake! Are you going to be older then dirt like I am now Lulu? I thought I'd die laughing when Jennifer realized that I was 60 years old now. She couldn't/wouldn't believe it and acted like I might as well be 160 years old!

I hope the man was alright and not dead! That would be scary! What do you think all the feathers were from? Well, obviously birds, but I mean why?
Well, I'm behind today, as I had a lot of praying to do, but I'm going to go get started posting now. Have a good day everyone!

Well, Cindy, I'm at least AS old as the dirt! lol 61 today! Ron will be 60 next month...man, the years are going by so wicked fast....I got the best birthday present ever this morning. My cousin Megan had her son this morning! His name is Raymond....beautiful big boy! I remember teasing her to have him on the 16th, well, she planned it and she was induced this AM...I got teary eyed, wishing I was there for his birthday, so she posted pictures on Facebook for me....I'm still teary eyed..... Lorrie, thanks for the cake! lol.... Ron and I are car shopping...we were hoping to go a while with out a car payment, but alas, Matt's engine gave up the ghost over the weekend, so we will be getting me another car so he can drive my old HHR.....maybe, if his bank will work with him to get another car loan and roll what he still owes for the dead one then we'll wait....so that could be put under prayer!

This is my new bakers rack that we assembled yesterday. It will hold my dry beans and sprout and such, as I have little kitchen storage space. The chair in the picture is the one I told you about that Art gave us.

Hi Cindy, about the white feathers I saw. That seemed out of place here in this area. We don't have birds in this area with large white feathers and the feathers were even in a circle. At first thought I wondered if it was a large cat, coyote or wolf that killed a bird. I have seen smaller brown feathers scattered around, and that would be from an animal that got a bird. Feathers have meaning in the occult world and around here people contact mediums. White feathers are used by Native Americans to communicate with spirit, sky gods and transcending the ethereal realm. Maybe a small group of people stopped by for a ritual. That was the area that I picked up most of the trash at and the trash was all there like overnight.
