Oh no Cindy, let us know what the doctor says about Bruce's shoulder; hope it's nothing serious. Thank you SO MUCH for posting the cookie recipes! They sound delicious and I don't know when I'll get a chance to bake them, but will let you know when I do. Lulu, sorry you didn't get a lot done over the weekend and had to work... that is no fun! Hope you got to spend at least a little with with Jazzy though. Anna, what a sweet photo you posted! Your thumbprint cookies sound good too -- Nutella is yummy! When we replaced our washer last year we got an LG high-efficiency toploader..... I hate it. I mean, it works okay, but you're right, there's NEVER enough water to REALLY wash the clothes, unless I choose the bulky setting, then it fills the water to the very top, even it it's only a few items in there. AND the water use is so low, if I want warm water I have to run turn on the hot water in the shower (right beside the laundry room) to get the water heated before it gets to the washer, or it doesn't have time to get warmed up. Oh for the olden days when our appliances weren't so "smart." (Really, I am grateful for it; I'd take this any day over a scrubboard and tub! ) Hi Margie! Did you find some slippers and jeans yet? Well, I just have one more coat of paint to go on one of the bathroom cabinet doors and two "false" drawer fronts, so have to try and get that done before going to tutoring this afternoon (don't know if I've mentioned that, but a school teacher at our church began an after-school tutoring program at her elementary school, so I'm doing that now on Tuesday afternoons for an hour each week, although with travel time it's close to two hours).

Oh, I did not mention, no hot water for the washing machine, if I use the cold setting, the warm or the hot the washing machine water is always warm. Oh well like you I am happy to have a washing machine and not to have to wash clothes by hand. Bruce, saying prayers for him.

hi guys. Boy yesterday was a fiasco. The chiropractor sent Bruce home saying he should go to a doctor because it was his heart! I couldn't believe it! So I called our doctor, explained what his symptoms had been and what I'd done, including sending him to the chiro. They agreed with me that it didn't sound anything at all like angina or anything else regarding his heart, but to be on the safe side, we went in to see them anyway and they even went so far as to do an EKG which of course came out normal. The final decision was that the chiro didn't know what he was talking about and that if it wasn't muscular, then it was most likely the RA causing the pain. That's pretty much what I'd figured before sending him to the chiro, but was hoping it wasn't the RA. So now we're thinking about calling the RA doc and getting his medication increased. He's home today just sleeping yesterday off as it was quite stressful for him. For me too, and the stress of course has activated my RA.... oh what a tangled web we weave LOL

Glad the tea is working well to keep you feeling good, there certainly are a lot of sick people around coughing all the time. I drink kefir water probiotics, and that works well for me.
I hope Bruce is rested now, to bad he got the run around, that is frustrating when that happens.
Your bathroom cabinet doors must look all clean and nice to look at now. We priced the cost of wood the other day, thinking about making some shelves, the price of wood cost more now than when we last bought some wood and made an outdoor bench, which we enjoy using.

I'm glad you're taking care of yourself and hope you don't get sick like everyone else Lulu. Thanks for the prayers. I woke up late today and only saw Bruce as he was going out the door for work, so don't really know how he was feeling, but I suspect he was doing better. For some reason, I wasn't feeling well at all yesterday either and didn't do hardly anything all day. Today is better though, at least so far

Good Morning all! It's finally actually snowing here, amazing isn't it? We're only supposed to get up to 4 inches, but at least it's something. It looks so pretty outside right now. Hope you're all having a good day!

How unusual that you are just now see snow where you live, must be pretty and just 4 inches, that is manageable. We have had cold weather here for a few days and a dusting of snow, weather here will be nice next week. Yesterday when I finally was able to go outside I was bored, how bored you ask? I was feeding my dogs potato chips just to listen to how loud the crunch was.

Yesterday when I finally was able to go outside I was bored, how bored you ask? I was feeding my dogs potato chips just to listen to how loud the crunch was. That's pretty bored, Marlene! It must be very quiet where you live, out there in the desert. I really think it's so neat having friends all over the U.S. here on FH (and some of them, outside the States). Sometimes I'll think, "Wonder what Anna's up to right now?" (Actually I do think of you as Anna even though I know you're Marlene. ) Think of all of you often and look forward to our Fresh-Hope picnic when we get to heaven! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far. Our master bath cabinet re-do is complete; I posted photos on FB this morning of the before and after. Eventually we'll replace the countertop/sinks too, but first we have to replace the broken tub -- which hopefully the work on that will begin this week, as the plumber is supposed to remove the old tub on Tuesday or Wednesday. (Trying to get the house ready to put on the market, maybe in a couple of years.) Cindy, glad to hear you're getting some snow! Sounds like just enough to be pretty but hopefully not enough to cause too much trouble. Lulu, hope you're not having to work today. Margie, what's going on at your house?

Not much going on at the house, Leigh. We've been gone a lot. Went to granddaughter's soccer game last night. It was a 0-0 tie. Went to grandson's wrestling match today. It was in a town called Azle and we hadn't been there before, so we went to our daughter's house and rode with them. He won his first match and lost his second. During the second match his right shoulder was injured so he couldn't wrestle anymore. A trainer put strips of tape on it. Said he had a muscle bruise. He was in a lot of pain. Daughter will take him to a doctor on Monday if it isn't better.
Hubby is looking forward to the Super Bowl tomorrow. I checked out an Agatha Christie mystery that I hadn't read before so I'll have something to do.
Hugs to everyone.

Oh no Margie, I am so sorry about your grandson's injury. A friend had posted on FB recently that she was at her son's first wrestling match and it made her feel sick just watching. I don't follow wrestling and had never given it any thought until then, but she's right -- how disturbing to watch one's child (or grandchild) being beat up! As a mother it was very upsetting to my friend. So anyway congratulations to your grandson on his win, and I hope his shoulder heals quickly.
That's funny that you have a book to read during the Super Bowl. Our Sunday night church group isn't going out to eat either, because of it. We'll be watching Downton Abbey here though; who's in the Super Bowl this year anyway??

Even Saturday when it was in the 30's, we saw people shopping in shorts LOL. Today and tomorrow we're supposed to get a few more inches of snow...enough to give us back the little we got before that got melted. This is crazy. If we don't get 4-6 feet of snow, people aren't going to have anything in their wells this summer.

Jenn, Bob, Elijah and Grace came over yesterday to celebrate my birthday, so we had a nice time. Bruce made us all French toast and bacon for dinner. It was good too! After they went home we just relaxed as usual...besides having to answer all the stupid political call.... grrrr! Although at one point, Bruce had Jennifer practically rolling on the floor she was laughing so hard at what he was saying to one of the people who called. (nothing bad, just funny)
I think I'm going to go share something the Lord showed me from His Word about how to deal with a trial. Maybe that will help solidify it in my head, and maybe someone else can be helped by it too. At least that way it's not all for nothing, huh?

Hi I do read the other posts but often I read from the recent posts and I don't think that shows that a person has read a post. I drove a long way to go shopping yesterday, by the time I got home I was tired and went to sleep. I always was a low energy person, when I was born the doctor told my parents that I had a weak heart. I bought three hard cover books for only 5 dollars, so I have been reading those, the Duck Commander collection. When I finish reading the books I am going to take them to the near by small library and leave them there. There is so much one could read or videos to watch and learn from, but I limit my time on the Internet, I don't want to spend to much time there. Have a blessed day today, Marlene

No, it doesn't show anything like that, but It's nice to know that some folks are at least reading some of what's posted. Sorry, I'm not feeling well at all. My eyes have been hurting badly since yesterday. But I did make several posts today anyway and several yesterday too.

I'm glad you're getting a day off Lulu. With all the hours you put in, you certainly deserve it and I'm sure can use it! So Enjoy!
Thanks Lulu. It's really weird, but apparently my eyes hurting like that are letting me know that I have another UTI. That's not supposed to be a symptom of them, but when I woke up this morning, I realized that I once again have a very severe UTI. It just came from nowhere again. Bruce is taking me to the doctor when he gets home from work. They want to see me cause there's been so much blood in my urine again. My favorite thing to do...go to the doctor...not! And then of course, go get the meds to make me better. No wonder I've been feeling so rotten...

Hi ladies! For two days we have tried to free up the locked front brakes on this old vehicle we have, now that we know that is not going to work and we are going to replace the master cylinder, which we have an old one of those and hopefully that will work.Today I want to paint a kitchen wall, hopefully mix a blue and white paint which I think we have, I will have to check that out when I'm done typing here. Lulu, I always hope you work only 40 hours a week. That is enough with all the other work that needs to be done and rest time needed also.
Cindy are your eyes feeling better, do they hurt because you were reading to much?
Leigh, I haven't seen your painted cabinets but I am sure they look nice. I am not signed into facebook.
Oh I forgot to mention why I am painting the kitchen wall, because I ordered a new baker's rack and it will be here Monday, also a matching spice rack. So that will be something I can fix up cute to look at.
Oh OK Cindy, saying a prayer for you, sorry your not feeling well. You and I posted at the same time.

I bet you're looking forward to your day off Lulu. How's it going with your house guests? Has everyone settled in well?
No,it doesn't matter what I do, or don't do, my eyes hurt because my body no longer produces the right enzymes it needs in my tears that keep our eyes moist, so they get very dry which causes a great deal of pain. It's part of the Sjögren's disease I have. It also affects my mouth and throat, making them so dry it's hard to swallow and at night my tongue can get stuck to the roof of my mouth and get torn trying to get it off. Trust me though, once that happens, you learn real quick to do things to prevent it from ever happening again! It affects my skin as well, making it quite dry, but worse is that it affects everything inside my body too. Weird huh? I have two prescription eye drops that help with it. One helps replace that enzyme and the other is an anti inflammatory for my eyes...it's like aspirin for my eyes. It helps quite a bit actually as far as making it so that my eyes don't hurt as often as they used to. Unfortunately, the drops don't really do much at all as far as relieving any pain when they do hurt. That's just something you have to live with. There is a surgery they can do if it gets worse, but I'm not at all sure I want to go that route.
Well, I'm back on the antibiotics. The doc is concerned because this is the second one in only a few weeks. This too is part of the Sjögren's and RA. They had put me on an antibiotic several years ago that I take regularly to prevent UTI's, but I guess it's just not working like it used to. And I'm doing everything else humanly possible to prevent them. If this happens yet again, I'm not sure what they'll do, since the UTI's are not only happening again, but are much more severe then they used to be too. I think the only thing left will be for them to put me on a stronger antibiotic and have me take it every day. Or maybe my doc will have me see a urologist first... who knows. I'm normally have a pretty optimistic outlook, but I just have a feeling that's where this is heading. I sure hope I'm wrong though. One things for sure, I'm really, really, going to appreciate that new body the Lord is going to give us when the rapture happens!
Yuck, I didn't mean to talk about me so much. Sorry about that. I hope you guys are all doing well and having a good day. That's nice you're able to get those things Anna! What color are you painting your kitchen wall?

I have a question that's probably really stupid but I hope someone knows the answer. What is is with all this "pink" stuff I see now? It's written on clothes that generally are not pink, and is everywhere. What does it mean????

Pink stuff? I don't know, unless it has something to do with breast cancer awareness??
Cindy, thank you for the explanation about what is going on with your eyes; I figured it was the Sjogren's. Terrible too about the increase in UTIs you are experiencing. I agree, those new heavenly bodies are going to be AWESOME!!
Speaking of that, I need to get ready; John has a GI appointment in a few minutes and he's letting me go with him; the doctor wants to start him on biologics, and I have typed out a page of questions to ask!
Talk to you all later.
