Ron put on some beans last nite to sock, and this morning he put in the ham bone and meat...so it'll be ham bean soup for supper tonite! Boy is asking for his morning walk, man I'm gonna miss our long walks when I have to go back to that dysfunctional world....

Good morning all! It's so good to see everyone! It's hailing here! Lots of hail! I want to rewind to the weather we had last week - temps in the 70's and sunshine. At least we haven't had tornados. Many parts of North Texas did last night. I got all of the Christmas stuff put away. We're eating leftovers, of course, but I don't have to cook. I just reheat. Hugs. I saw all that horrid weather news last night! Wow! And the fires in California too! I'm sure glad you're safe though!it's been a nice couple days....Christmas was wicked good. Morning was spent with the Scott's...then the rest of the day was at our Netty's...they did all the cooking and we just hung out watching TV and opened presents..Jazzy was a very good girl. The dogs all got gifts and they had a blast also...we got a 40" screen smart TV...not to sure about it, but oh well.....church was fun, I was in the nursery, so I missed the beginning of Pastors new study, Book of James.... it's been chilly here, nice during the day, but chilly in the mornings and evening...no hail or snow, or tornado's! I pray you all had a great Christmas. We had to return Jazzy this afternoon, she had a really good week I think...now we wont see her again till the third week into Jan...but there are 5 weekends that month.... I miss her already... been going on LONG walks with Boy, we went a different way these last two walks, I'm gonna have to drive the rout to know how many miles we walked.... Ron and I got some stuff done around here also, some rearranging, got TV's hooked up...we are trying to reclaim our Sanctuary back..... much love...
It sounds like you had a great Christmas Lulu. I'm so glad! I know what you mean about missing Jazzy already. While I'm generally ready for the kids to go home when they do, as my body needs a break by then, I miss them before they're out the door even. Weird huh? Even weirder is that during the week before they come back, I must have at least a dozen "conversations" with them in my mind, as I think of things I want to share with them. But then when they do come over, I get so caught up in the moment with them, that I generally forget all about the things I wanted to tell them. my 2nd week off of work....Ron had to go back to the dysfunctional world this morning he was not to happy about that... Ron put on some beans last nite to sock, and this morning he put in the ham bone and meat...so it'll be ham bean soup for supper tonite! Boy is asking for his morning walk, man I'm gonna miss our long walks when I have to go back to that dysfunctional world.... Poor Ron! He has my condolences Bruce is very blessed because today is the only day he has to work this week... He had 3 vacation days left so he's taking them now, and then they have Friday off for the new year anyway and of course have the weekend off as well! That means he has his birthday off too, which will be nice for him. I'm going to see if I can find some venison from a friend that I can buy and give him that for his birthday for dinner. I know he'd like that! When do you have to go back to work?
The cats were hilarious on Christmas and have continued to bring a lot of laughter to the house since then. We got a bunch of catnip and put it inside 3 socks so that they were pretty well stuffed with it. Then we got them one little bag of toys that included their favorites which are little fuzzy balls. Chloe loves those kind of balls and carries them all over the house LOL. We put it all together in a box with some paper inside it too to make crinkling noise and that was their gift. They went nuts and have continued ever since!
Well, I've got a lot of posting to do here today, so I'd better get busy!

Cleaning house and did one load of laundry. It's cold and windy here, but no snow.
My "I don't really want to exercise" brain is already thinking of excuses to miss Silver Sneakers Exercise tomorrow. But after all the Christmas sweets I've eaten (You can't let good food go to waste, can you??) I really need to go there.
Hope everyone is doing good.

My brain used to say that fairly often too, but then I'd add to it that cleaning the house, doing laundry etc is exercising too so I therefore really didn't need to do anymore LOL it was a very productive day yesterday! Speaking of finally being cold, Guess what? It's finally snowing! Of course we also got sleet and freezing rain, but at least the ground is finally white like it's supposed to be! I'm glad you had a good day yesterday and got a lot done. I'm taking it easy today as I didn't sleep well last night - probably because of the storm lol

Have a blessed day today ladies! I will be listening tonight to pastor Paul who will be talking at the midnight hour. Have you heard the news that today there is a strong solar flare that will make a direct hit on the earth, a magnetic storm.

Yeah, I saw that and thought it was interesting. Mainly because I'm kind of waiting to see what's going to take the US out of the picture as a world leader... but then all the so called natural disasters are already doing a fairly good job of getting ready for that.
I'll be in bed sound asleep long before midnight, God willing. I haven't stayed up for the new year in a very long time lol But for those of you who do, I hope you have a wonderful time and of course I pray the Lord will bless you in the coming year. Actually I pray that He will bless us all by calling us to meet Him in the air!

it's been a busy couple days, well, not busy like going to work, just tooling around here...on the cooler side, finely winter. looking forward to rain in the coming months. but that's not good for the eastern states from us.. I'm gonna really miss the long walks with my Boy when I return to work...but he'll still get his walks. Rebecca will take him I'm sure...things have settled down quite a bit, the kids are starting to settle in. once they are back to school, and get their own beds and such I think they'll feel more at home...I be praying this all works out for them.

Happy New Year everyone!
I hope it all works well for everyone too Lulu. You and Ron are such great people, and so are Jorrie and John, Marlene, Barbara and Leonard, Eva, Margie, Mark, Daniel, Steve, Catt, and many others too. I'm just so very thankful to have been blessed to know each one of you. You have each impacted my life in very meaningful ways. I've learned a great deal from each of you and have been encouraged greatly by you each as well. I honestly don't know what I'd have done over the years without you. I want to Thank you each so very much for being my friend. You've put up with so much from me over the years.... my tantrums, as well as when I've been down in the dumps, and stood by me as I've been learning about our Lord and His Word. You've shown me His love when I badly needed to see it and held me accountable when I've sinned, loving me just the same. There aren't many people in this world who would do that, and the Lord has blessed me with so many! Best of all is knowing that we will always be together for eternity. (or I guess that could be taken as a threat too )

What a comforting thought, " God seems to be saying, with me you can always start afresh.' Who else on this earth would be a friend like that! Thank you Cindy, what kind words for the fresh-hope members.

I am saying prayers for Rebecca that she will find a job.
It is going to be a nice day outside today and tomorrow, so I hope we will finish working outside on the brakes on an old SUV that we have, it will drive it just had a locked up brake, so all the brakes are going to be checked.

This morning I hope to make home made yogurt. Home made yogurt? Is it hard to make? What do you need to make it with? it's a beautiful morning, on the chilly side, but hey, it is winter....had a good nite last nite with our Netty, and Justin. they took us out to dinner and then we spent about an hour at the dog park with our furbabys....yes they came with us and waited in the car like good baby's while we were eating dinner...our Netty has two .....we were out late! didn't get home till almost midnight! Sounds like you had a great time Lulu! I just wish you didn't have to go back to work, or that at least it would be something you looked forward to doing... That's one of the things I can't wait for in New Jerusalem, during the Millennium, we'll have "jobs", but they'll be things we love to do and that we do well, and of course with no sin nature, we won't sin in any way either, and neither will others which will make everything so much better. I put "jobs" in quotations because I'm not sure if that's the best thing to call what we'll be doing. It'll be "work" in one sense but because it'll be something we're perfectly suited for and love to do, it sure won't seem like "work" at all. Especially with our Boss/Employer being Jesus Himself! I can't wait!
Well, we're off to do shopping yet again, so I'd better get going.
Love you all!

This is how I make home-made yogurt. I put 7 cups of milk in a pan and heat the milk to the temp. of 180* stirring the milk. Then I let the milk cool down to 110*. At 110* I pour milk into two quart size jars and add two tablespoons of active live culture yogurt to each jar, then I let the jars sit for 8 to 24 hours, having the temp. for the jars as close to 70* or 77* degrees as possible, and that is it. Here is a link to Stary Hilder yogurt instructions that I follow.

Cooler here and the sun comes and goes. Finished cleaning house yesterday and got everything put back in its place. Hubby is watching another football game. Hope everyone is doing good. It's getting cooler here too. In fact soon it will be almost normal as tomorrow's low will be 3. I forgot to mention that we did break the record for the warmest December since the temps began being recorded here. I sure do pray that my *job* is with the animals.... Boy and I had a wonderful walk, I'd say close to 3 miles....now breakfast and another cup of then it's out to the yard to help Ron.... I kind of figured that's what you'd want Lulu LOL That or children. I hope I get to do something with His Word... maybe teaching the children during the millennium or something like that. My apologies for not posting in awhile but keeping up the reading on what everyone else is doing! Sounds like you all have had a pretty good week, Lulu especially! Must get myself ready for church now, but will TRY and get back in here this afternoon.... Hi Lorrie, no problem. I know you're busy. Hope all is going well for you! This is how I make home-made yogurt. I put 7 cups of milk in a pan and heat the milk to the temp. of 180* stirring the milk. Then I let the milk cool down to 110*. Thanks Anna, I appreciate it! Sounds like it wouldn't be too hard. Maybe I'll try it one of these days.
Hope everyone has a good day. The kids are coming over today so I have to go get ready.

just got back from my evening walk with my Boy...Gavin came with us. he kept up very well, it was our normal walk, about 2 miles...I haven't drove it yet with the car to know for sure how long... Church was great, then a friend took us out to lunch, there were over 20 of us from church at this little restaurant, wicked good company and food! Ya Cindy, something with children would be good, but animals would be better.... it's back to the dysfunctional world tomorrow, pray for me...I'm not a happy camper...

OK Lulu, we get the message, saying prayers for you while your at work.
Here comes the rain for a few days and snow later in the week. I enjoy rain on warm days, but not so much on cold days. I give my dogs kefir, yogurt, and 1/2 of one egg to eat every day and their eyes are bright and their fur shines. I would give each dog 1 egg but orders from the boss is only 1/2 an egg.

Kind of gloomy and colder here. Hi nigel2 There is heavy fog here today, we never see heavy fog, I can only see about 200 feet outside and it is the first time my two dogs have seen heavy fog. I put them outside this morning and they would not leave the porch, they just kinda froze there in place. That was kinda funny to see. I had to throw a toy on the ground to get them off of the porch.
