Yes, I also like to read Lulu's colorful posts.
Saying prayers for the prayer requests here. How is your aunt doing Leigh? How is Michael doing?
I am so cold, it is 10 am and I still have my winter coat and hat on in the house, temps. will warm back to normal Saturday.
I read a few days ago about how medical information is disclosed about a person without their authorization and workers compensation cases is one of many that give out information.

Yes, but in this case, workers comp didn't have the information to start with, they had to have been given it from somewhere/someone else, which is pretty weird. Still bugs me...
That's strange, considering where you live Anna! It's nice and warm here, almost 40 already and today's one of our colder days lol.
I like reading your colorful posts too Lulu! I'm glad you're not having to work so many hours and am praying you are able to keep your job too.
Bruce seems to have come down with a stomach bug and had to stay home from work today. I really need to go check on him and see if I can get him to at least drink some water....

Here is a list of some places that may use or disclose health information without a persons authorization. Doctors, nurses, payment, health care operations that's quality of care reviews and state prescription drug monitoring. The weather here will soon be back to normal but it was on the news last night that it was colder in Phoenix AZ than in New York city, which like never happens. Saying prayers today for Bruce, I hope he can eat some chicken noodle soup.

well I'm home today for a really ridiculous reason, I can't unlock my car!!! !!!! I drive an HHR, no I don't know what HHR stands for if anything....but it has ONLY one door that you can use the key on to unlock the car...the driver side door....it seems or feels like the latch inside the door has some how come detached....the key is useless. I think Ron's out there now trying to get in...but I think I'll have to wait for triple A to came and get in...then I wont be able to lock my doors any more.... until I can afford to bring my car to a Chevy dealership...that will cost $$$$$...AND the car is almost paid for...so ya....just one more thing added to the bummers of my life.. It's no wonder keeping joy in ones life is so hard sometimes... Cindy for Bruce and you and family!

Good morning, I smiled when I saw the good morning that you posted Lulu, it looks like a hedgehog. I read that it is legal to own a hedgehog now in AZ. I don't know if that is true or not, anyways I'm not wanting to have one, but they are cute. I have to post this and run as I have to cook breakfast now. ttyl, Anna

Thanks Anna, I appreciate the information, and the prayers as well. Bruce is much better today and went in to work as usual, although he was almost late as we both overslept. Good thing his work is only 2 or 3 minutes away!
Oh wow Lulu, when I saw that I was thinking there was no way your locks could freeze living where you do! Never even considered there might be another reason for it lol. I sure hope you were able to get it taken care of though.
I know it must be legal to own them at least in Colorado as the show about the vet has shown him working on them when their owners bring them in. They sure do look cute!
It looks like my youngest son is having a real rough time now too. He really needs to get into Teen Challenge and I've been praying that the Lord would find a way to get him into it soon. Michael's about the same I guess. It breaks my heart to see some of my kids having so many problems so young.
I hope everyone's having a wonderful day in the Lord today!

Good morning ladies! This is probably the last year that the Charlie Brown Christmas special will be broadcast on TV. There was a debate as to whether to broadcast it or not because of the baby Jesus scene, some wanted to remove baby Jesus. But they decided to broadcast it for one more year since this year will be the 50th year of broadcasting the special. Lulu good to read that the AAA guy showed up to help you out with your car lock.

Hi guys, sorry I'm late again, had to take care of some stuff going on here this morning.
That's great the guy was able to fix that for you so quickly Lulu and that you got to stay home and just enjoy the day too! I'm so glad you were able to!
I'll have to make sure Bruce watches that this year then since he's always liked it. (I'm just not into TV much so I don't get into it a lot anyway) I didn't know they were going to take it off the air though, that's pretty sad, although it doesn't surprise me. One step closer to the rapture!
Believe it or not, I'm still not dressed and only on my 2nd cup of coffee.
Angel is finally doing better, I think. She's been off the prednisone for several weeks now. We only had to give it to her one time during those weeks. Hopefully she'll continue to do ok. I wouldn't even be concerned except that the weather keeps warming up and that's when she has problems. Today's a warm day (46 now) but tomorrow it a little cooler (36, and seems to go back and forth like that every other day for the next 7 days. Hopefully the cooler days will keep her from having any problems. It sure is weird to be this late in December without a lot of snow. They were comparing our temps with other years last night to see what had been the warmest winter so far and we could break the record if this continues! I'm not too upset about it as it means it won't be so expensive to heat the house this year or at least this month anyway.
Guess I'll go see what's been happening here, see you all later!

Hi everyone, sorry to not be chatting this week, just lots of things going on. It always takes me awhile to write up a "proper" post. Everything is okay though, only usual the Christmas busy-ness. Oh, my aunt that I'd ask you to pray for last Friday (and Anna, I believe you asked about her earlier this week, thank you ) -- she went home to be with the Lord. I actually have a prayer request about her funeral (for her Mormon son & family), but in case I don't write about it, will you all pray for the Holy Spirit to convict him heavily during the funeral (next Tuesday)? If I get a chance I'll tell more about it later, but in case not, that's the gist of it. Thanks.

Yesterday I drove to town and went to a Dollar General type store and bought 40 dollars of stuff. After I had opened my car door I then locked myself out of my car with my keys, purse, and cellphone inside the car. Where I live cellphone calls seldom go through which is the problem I had when I borrowed someones cellphone to make a call to Ron. He keeps his e-mail showing when I am gone in case I have to text message him. One woman put through a text message for me, but I was concerned that Ron would delete it as a junk e-mail, so I left my cart there next to the building, I figured I had a 50-50 chance of my stuff being there when I got back to it. I walked a block to John's place where he sold used furniture, to see if he had a land line I could call from. To my surprise when I walked in the door John was no longer there and I was in a dump of a bar. I talked to a nice woman there who for 30 minutes used her cellphone to try to get a call and text through to Ron. I thanked her, that was so nice of her, finally I got through both text messages and probably because she had At&t cellphone and Ron was away from the wifi in the home a call went through to him. I shouted into the phone at Ron, the bar was so quiet you could hear a pin drop in there and I got out of there as quickly as possible. The woman Carol said to me, "I have your man's phone number and e-mail address but don't worry I won't take him away from you." She said Merry Christmas to me as I was dashing out the door thanking her for her help. When I had walked far enough to where I could see the store, I saw that a man had my cart and was moving it. I shouted to the the man three times, " hey you, that is my cart.' I did not know I could shout that loud. Then I thought oh well whatever. Then he did stop and waited for me and gave me the cart back. He said to me, " I can't help you" and I said that is OK I have someone coming to help me. Then another woman wanted to give me a ride home but I thanked them both and told them help was coming. Then Ron came unlocked the car door and he drove to the post office. After that I got into my car a sheriff ran a check of my license plate, but I did not have to talk to him. Maybe the cook or the bartender at the bar called the sheriff, maybe because I was not going to spend any money there or maybe the store called or maybe it was what I shouted into the phone and what Ron shouted back at me. I had shouted " Help, come and get me" and Ron shouted back at me, " Don't you try breaking into that car" So not a good day for me. I am not doing much today, just cleaning house. ttyl, Anna

Good day! I woke up late this morning, nice weather here today. I received my order for a variety pack of sprouting seeds from the sprout house so today I will look up information about planting some of the sprouted seeds and growing a few plants from them, so that will be nice to see how that goes. Good day to you, Anna

Kind of gloomy and colder here today. My Sunday School class had its Christmas party. We invited another ladies' class to join us. We sang Christmas carols and ate (and ate....)!
Hope everyone is doing good. Hugs.

Wow Anna, what a day you had! Sounds like one you'd see on TV LOL I'm so glad everything turned out ok for you though.
Sounds like you had a nice Christmas party Margie. Bruce ran out on the porch the other day to take a picture because it was finally snowing LOL. He said he wanted to be able to prove it had as we knew it would be gone within a half hour, and it was. Boy the weather is weird this year!
Thanks for the prayers Lulu, I appreciate it. I guess I caught what Bruce had earlier. Found out that it went through everyone at his work too, so everyday someone else was off work sick with it. I was better yesterday but not over it completely, but I think I am now. Feel pretty good anyway. Of course now I have several days worth of work to catch up on though.... I hate being sick cause it just makes everything pile up lol. Well, guess I'd better go and get started. I wanted to be able to post a bunch of stuff today, but can't now because I wound up sleeping in so late. Sorry guys....

first day of vacation, it's a PJ day for Jazzy, she's just tooling around being a good girl....you all remember me talking about a single mom with two kids? we had offered her the front of the house so she could get on her feet? financially? but she had decided to go to Florida to live with an aunt...well, she's back and she and the kids moved in over the weekend....a 6 year old girl, and 8 year old boy...pretty good kids...mom's name is Rebecca, she's 35...it's gonna be an adjustment for us all, but it will be good for them to get planted and for mom to find a job and get financially stable...it'll be for a few months I'm sure...so prayer would be appreciated for us all to blend together in a family way....

Oh wow Lulu, how kind and generous of you and Ron to open up your home like that. Saying a prayer right now that all goes well with the blending of the two families.Cindy, I'm sorry you were sick; wasn't it a stomach bug that you said Bruce had last week -- and then you caught it? So glad to hear you are on the mend. Is there any update on Michael? Anna, I just had to laugh reading your story about locking yourself out of your car. I know it wasn't funny to you as it was happening, but the way you told it, and imagining the people overhearing your phone conversation with Ron - it was humorous. Anyway, I hope you are able to laugh about it now; all's well that ends well! Keep us posted on the planting of the sprouting seeds. You are always so resourceful; I enjoy hearing about all the projects you take on. Margie, sounds like a fun Christmas party. We had a ladies party at church a couple of weeks ago, and they caroled also. I didn't make it to that one, but did make it to our Ladies Christmas Tea the week before that, which was fun too. I posted a picture on FB Saturday night of a table that John was given. A couple from church bought a 100+ year old farmhouse and John helped design an addition for them (kitchen, family room, master suite, & two more bedrooms upstairs w/bath). He did the original drawings then they took it to a contractor to complete. They took some of the lumber from their house and as a gift to John for his work, they had a sofa table made for him. It turned out beautifully! (I was in on the surprise because I had to take measurements.) We don't have space right now for a table behind the sofa, so have put it in the dining room to use as a buffet table. **IMPORTANT** - Tomorrow at 2:00 is my aunt's funeral. In the hours before she died last week, she was asking each person in her hospital room, "Are you saved? Are you sure you're saved?" She repeatedly went back to her son, who converted to Mormonism many years ago. My cousin (my aunt's daughter, sister of the Mormon) is asking everyone to pray that tomorrow during the funeral, her brother will be haunted by their mother's questioning his salvation. She said, "Please use that exact word -- that he will be haunted," and that the Holy Spirit will be able to penetrate his hardened heart (and his family) with the TRUE message of the gospel. We are unable to attend the funeral as it is out of state, but will be praying. Will you all please pray with me? (Cindy I know you prayed when you first read my mention of the request; thank you!! I wanted to add these details.)
Thank you all!

Wow Lulu, that was really nice of you guys to do for her! I honestly don't remember you telling us about her, but I'm sure that's just my bad memory at work again. You guys sure are amazing and wonderful witnesses for Christ as well!
I hope her brother was saved yesterday or at least that his heart was prepared for the seeds that have been planted so that they'll one day bear fruit for the Lord.
Michael's about the same I guess. I'm over that bug, but it looks like I've started my winter flare up at the same time, so that's still got more then a week left to go. Like they say though, what doesn't kill us will make us stronger
My friend, Laura, surprised me by coming over the other day, and gave me the most beautiful Christmas gift! I's a musical jewelry box that plays Amazing Grace. The cover of it reads: "Dear Christian Friend, Thank you for blessing my life with God's message that you send; I see Jesus in you, my treasured Christian friend." I started to cry when I read it, I was so touched.
Well, guess I'd better go see what's been going on around here. I hope you all have a great day today!

Cindy, that sounds like a wicked cool gift....on Mace and my walk this morning, which by the way was like 3 miles all the way around! we walked past a house that had a sign out in front with the Christmas scripture on it! it looked like at night it would be lit up! I thought that was cool... do you all remember Jess and Ashlynn? that was the single mom with one little girl, they stayed with us for like 4 months a couple years ago....so it's not a first for us...we've done this a lot of times for kids and moms in need...some have turned on us, and others are loves....Rebecca needs prayer to find a job and they need bunk beds, hopefully next week we will be able to get some things moved around so it's more comfortable for them in the front... while on our walk I thought of and prayed for you all...Cindy, how is Michael? this afternoon Jazzy, Matt and I are going to see the new star wars movie...can't wait! so far it's been a good week...looking forward to Christmas day and visiting Lyn and Dave, then going over our Netty's....

Thanks so much Anna, Cindy, and Lulu for praying for my cousin during my aunt's funeral. He has a wife, three adult children who are all married, and 2-1/2 grandchildren (the 1/2 isn't born yet!), so I have a whole branch on my family tree who are Mormon. They are the nicest people you'd ever meet (well, I actually only know my cousin and his wife because they lived across the country while their children were growing up, but I'm sure the kids are great just like their mom and dad), but they are so deceived. I haven't heard from Lu (my cousin who is his sister) yet about how the funeral went, but when things slow down after the holidays I'll give her a call and see. Please keep up the prayers for them.
Lulu, yes I remember you talking about Jess and Ashlynn. It is so kindhearted of you and Ron to open your home like that to needy families; you are so hospitable. I hope all goes well and Rebecca finds a job and gets on her feet soon.
Hope you had fun with Matt & Jazzy at the new Star Wars movie. My guys will probably go see it, but I won't.
Cindy, what a nice gift for you from Laura!! Maybe you can post a picture (or better yet, a little video clip) of it because we'd love to see what it looks like, and hear the song! Music boxes are so special.
Anna, hope all is well with you and your Ron. Do Santa and his reindeer make it that far out into the desert?!
Margie, I know you're busy too, getting ready for Christmas! Hope you have the merriest one yet!
Well we've been up in the mountains for the past few days; my parents met us up there, and we all came back to my house yesterday. We have friends from church (just a husband & wife) coming for Christmas lunch tomorrow, so there will be 8 of us all total, not too big a crowd for a holiday. I have to get to the grocery store this morning and get cooking.
What are you all doing for Christmas Eve & Day? Do your churches have a Christmas Eve service?

What are you all doing for Christmas Eve & Day? Do your churches have a Christmas Eve service? I have a sister who is deceived by the Mormons. She has 5 adult children and all of them and their children too, I'm sure are caught up in it. Too bad. I set out the canned food and dishes I will need for Christmas dinner on the counter. I'm making deviled eggs this afternoon. Even hubby pitched in and vacuumed. Lots of sunshine and warm weather here. Hugs to all.

Morning all! Sorry I couldn't get here yesterday, it's just been so busy the last few days and today I'm simply all tuckered out.Just like that graphic LOL It sounds like you all had a good Christmas too which makes me so happy. I posted a picture of Elijah and Grace from yesterday on FB. They made out like bandits this year. We went shopping again on Christmas Eve and managed to get a number of things that we couldn't afford 5 days before, but since they were all marked way down, we were able to get them after all. What was really neat was that there was only one left of a couple of the things we wanted to get last weekend, so I was afraid they'd be long gone, but they were still there! I was thrilled! God is so good!
Since I lived in Salt Lake, I've known many mormons and it's very sad how deceived they are. I hope and pray that your cousins eyes are opened Lorrie and the same for your family too Margie.
Those are my most favorite kind of socks Catt! Bless your heart!
That's so wonderful you got to go to that service Lulu. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Well today I have a ton to do, although I don't feel like doing anything at all. Can't avoid it though as it has to be done or else... You know, when I was a kid, I always thought being grown up meant you could do whatever you wanted to whenever you wanted to.... it sure didn't turn out that way though, did it?
Well, guess I'd better go see what else has been happening here before I get started at the house. Love you guys!

Sorry I'm so late today but just had to post something that I hope will encourage everyone! Oh yeah, I posted this question the other day too but no one has read it yet...
My friend since childhood who's in Rome, sent me a video from his phone of his congregations nativity play on Christmas. It was so awesome I asked Him if he could send it another way so I could share it with others and he's going to! I sure hope I can share it with you guys! It was spectacular... the singing, the costumes, even ballet, and was a "live" nativity scene they did at midnight! Amazing!

It's hailing here! Lots of hail! I want to rewind to the weather we had last week - temps in the 70's and sunshine. At least we haven't had tornados. Many parts of North Texas did last night.
I got all of the Christmas stuff put away. We're eating leftovers, of course, but I don't have to cook. I just reheat.
Hugs.

it's been a nice couple days....Christmas was wicked good. Morning was spent with the Scott's...then the rest of the day was at our Netty's...they did all the cooking and we just hung out watching TV and opened presents..Jazzy was a very good girl. The dogs all got gifts and they had a blast also...we got a 40" screen smart TV...not to sure about it, but oh well.....church was fun, I was in the nursery, so I missed the beginning of Pastors new study, Book of James.... it's been chilly here, nice during the day, but chilly in the mornings and evening...no hail or snow, or tornado's! I pray you all had a great Christmas. We had to return Jazzy this afternoon, she had a really good week I think...now we wont see her again till the third week into Jan...but there are 5 weekends that month.... I miss her already... been going on LONG walks with Boy, we went a different way these last two walks, I'm gonna have to drive the rout to know how many miles we walked.... Ron and I got some stuff done around here also, some rearranging, got TV's hooked up...we are trying to reclaim our Sanctuary back..... much love...
