Hi everyone! Well we made it through this past week somehow. It's been horribly hot here, between 100 - 103 and only going down to the high 70's late at night sometimes. It's been like that up until yesterday when it finally cooled off and stayed in the high 70's during the day. When I got up this morning I was freezing and saw that it was down to 55 degrees. It's amazing how quickly your body adjusts to temp changes, because normally 55 is just comfortable to me.
Steve, I won't delete anything but I will close them all but the one.

Hi I gave my daughter her Firstborn Blessing. As she is our only child it was important to make sure she knew how much I wanted to bless her in the name of Jesus Christ. I think the great thing about delivering my blessing is being really aware of the state of the world. My wife was raised catholic but not saved I dont think. And I view the world through the Word, but my wife is a hard headed pragmatist. Non Christian people just dont "get it" sometimes, so me for example turning down a good job (because God said to), makes no sense to them. But I now have only one prayer really now - that my daughter and wife both get saved. Cindy, could you please delete all my prayer requests please and replace them with this one prayer request - That my wonderful Wife and daughter get saved, delivered from the devils clutches please. Thank you. I locked all the other prayer requests Steve, but I don't see one for your wife and daughter to be saved. Is the title of the thread different than that? You'll have to let me know the title or else if there isnt' one, you'll have to start one.

Good day ya all. I was glad that we got some rain and plants and flowers grew, some of the weeds are 5 feet tall.
Cindy I scanned the site for what I think I saw before where you posted a library link for the old authors of christian audio books. I was hoping to find audio at Rumble site but I am mostly able to listen on you tube, what I am interested in is books or sermons that are old, right now my favorite is JC Ryle and AW Tozer, then there is also available Charles Spurgeon and sermon from 1752 Jonathan Edwards and many others, still have Bible reading with pastor Scott on the weekdays. I am subscribed to christian sermons and audio books. Today I am listening to the book, The Pursuit of God, by AW Tozer.
Hope you all had a blessed weekend, time this month is flying by fast.
I am giving my dog a good organic chicken or turkey canned dog food now, no dry food for her, and she knows everyday what time it is to eat, if I am busy she barks at me to get her the food.

I have watched those Hepburn movies. My dog just came in the room, I am ignoring her, that won't last for long, it is time to eat. The Key Largo princess boat was in a marina that I stayed at in Key Largo, when we were there.

Hi Cindy, do you have electricity today? Heard about the storm up yonder there in your area where you live. I am listening to the video on how to read and study the Bible, in the OT in Psalms David meditated, and in the NT, 1 Timothy 4 13-15 the scripture says,
13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
to read scripture, it does say public reading of the scripture, I wonder how many people could read throughout history past. I just googled that and it said, that while only 12% of the people in the world could read and write in 1820, ... In many countries more than 95% have basic literacy skills,in 1800 around 40 percent of males and 60 percent of females in England and Wales were illiterate, by 1900 illiteracy for both sexes had dropped to around 3 percent, 1500 60%, Middle Ages out of the total population 10 per cent of men and 1 per cent of women were literate. So I see more people could read or read to others than I thought.

Interesting statistics Anna about who could read scripture in the past.
I like JC Ryle and AW Tozer, and especially Charles Spurgeon ( I have several of his books) also.... Right now, I am read a 700 plus page book on Ephesians by Calvin.

Those are great authors! That reminds me of the little book I posted on our old board called, he Way To Heaven: or A Help To Christians To Know The True State of Their Souls. It was written in 1865 by the Rev Risdon Darracott. It's awesome! I remember posting it page by page until I'd posted over half of the book. I copied it all over to my blog (which I haven't used again since no one liked it) anyway, if anyone ever wants to read it again, here's a link to it: freshhopeinjesus.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-way-to-heaven-or-help-to-christians.html?zx=f593260776ff9dc3

I looked up the literacy of Israel and found that it was very high during the time our Lord was here and also way back when their first temple was destroyed.

I forgot to tell you all about this again and I've been meaning to do so for some time. I didn't want anyone to be surprised about this. But we can all expect now that many people who have always believed in a pre trib rapture, will most likely begin to denounce it, if they haven't already. This is to be expected because God tells us that people won't want to know the truth any more, and instead will follow even the doctrine of demons. Anyone can look around and see that we are living in a time where there's more falsehood then truth about everything, and that's true about what the Bible teaches as well. So when you hear that fewer and fewer people believe in a pre trib rapture, let that encourage you to know that the pre trib rapture is therefore obviously true.

Wow! That is a good point Cindy, about those not believing in the rapture ( even those who used to) and I sure agree we are living with more lies and untruth than ever before.

Sometimes when I think I've fixed something, there's still another step that I'm unaware of so I always like to test it to be sure it's really fixed. Thanks so much for doing that for me!
