At first I thought it happened in the city of Glendale AZ and thought someone from CA moved to AZ, then I saw that it was a street named Glendale in CA.

I have seen several of the other doctors at our hospital/clinic and all of them were openly horrified I was being prescribed pain pills.....
but after our doctor died, we cannot even get another doctor.
There are not that many doctors at our small town hospital
Since Leonard has some very serious issues, like
diabetes, heart issues
and stage 3 kidney disease to name a few.....
he called the clinic a few days ago.
The earliest....that 'maybe' he could see a real doctor would be the middle of Dec.
so instead, he will see a nurse...in 2 months.
I don't fall anywhere near that urgent need care....so..
The last time I called I was told the end of Dec. ...
maybe
Our hospital has gone all out in dealing with pain by:
pain classes for pain ( visualization techniques)
mindfulness for pain
physical therapy for pain
exercise for pain
yoga for pain
and that is it...
no 'addictive' pain pills for pain!
( maybe if you have surgery and then just get a very limited amount)
but they are more likely to have you take over the counter meds.
They have for over 10 years been putting any patients on prescription pain meds
on a 'step down'
and off of pain pills
irregardless of your pain level...
( tho they say;
No the pain is not all in your brain ( imagination)
in one breath
they turn right around
in their next breath
and explain how pain is all in your imagination/brain.
So based on those theories, beliefs etc.
and so called addiction.....no...
no doctor around here is going to give prescription for back and neck pain
instead you go to pain classes to learn to handle your pain
instead of 'imagining' your pain...
you are to 'visualize' yourself on a beautiful tropical island......
Oh wait....
I actually lived on a
beautiful tropical island for 12 plus years...
and guess what?
I had a lot of neck and back pain!
I don't need to visualize a tropical island, I lived on one.
It did NOT help my pain.
They are totally convicted of the opioid crisis in our country
they are scared to death of being considered enabling any 'addicts'
and so on.
and they actually do believe its all in your head
tho they all start out saying:
noooooo it's not all in your head
and yes, you do have triple scoliosis
and pinched nerves
and osteoporosis
and severe arthritis
etc.
But actually.....pain is only in your head.
And so, have you tried yoga?
mindfulness?
visualization?
etc. etc.
You do know that norco and morphine cause all manner of terrible damage to your organs....we can't have that!
And it so so so so addictive
blah blah blah!
I have seen almost all the doctors there
and the ones I have not seen, I have been told by many people who go to them
how wonderful they are because they won't give out the nasty addictive pain pills to anyone...no one at all!
aren't they wonderful?!

That what advantage of living in the city my parents have advantage go live in rural life problem was my father had stress attack they decided not too I think I was 15 year old at the time it was heart attack they find out later
I have a chance go live in Nenana AK I decided not too I be afraid to live in the area with no doctor or help anywhere I get panic attack seriously

I remember Larry Elder was on KABC 790am here in SO CAL radio station before then LA DOdgers game until they lost contract to AM 570am that consider Clear channel turn I Heart radio connection Gavin is losing among minority voters including African American and Latino who tick off that Gavin shut down their ma and pa Mexican restaurant which very popular in LA area

fearnot That's just in your area, and probably the decision of your state government. I live in a very small town too, and as I told you, I've had the opposite experience. However, BEFORE covid, things were headed the same way your state went. I'm so glad that covid changed all of that here.
We too have a shortage of doctors though. From what I've heard that's all over the states. Because of all the harassment over opioids, many doctors have quit or retired. It wasn't just because of that, but that was the last straw for many doctors, since they've had to deal with a great deal more interference from insurance companies since Obamacare took over the land. Even before Obamacare the insurance companies were trying hard to tell doctors what they could and couldn't do with their patients. The amount of paperwork they had to do on each patient was ridiculous. One example my doctor gave me was how for many years he kept samples of medicines that he gave out to people who couldn't afford their prescriptions. But he had to stop doing that because of the amount of paperwork involved in it, made it a nightmare. My doctor fought the insurance companies constantly. For example, they insisted that anyone on a narcotic must get tested for drug abuse frequently, and must be seen every single month. He told them outright no on the monthly visits and scheduled me to be seen every 3 months instead, and only did the drug test once a year. They were furious with him and constantly harassed him about it as they did any doctor that stood up to them. They've even tried to change doctors orders and tell them what prescriptions they could give their patients and what they couldn't. So when covid came around with all it's restrictions, many quit or retired. And on top of that, there aren't as many going to medical school as before either.

Exactly...I had to get tested almost every month and sign some agreement every couple of months and yes my doctor also mention the insurance companies and paper work.
But we have a major major liberal female governor...so I think you are right it comes from the state.
I think rural Oregon is conservative but the cities: Like Portland etc. are ultra liberal and since they have a bigger population....
The only thing I am still allowed to get ( so far) is a muscle relaxer but even that had to be changed via insurance to something less strong ( I think in part due to age)...I forgot the exact problem.
I just gave up....

Yeah, all that drug testing for patients on narcotics literally goes against our constitution. We are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty and therefore are not to be treated as though we are guilty of abusing our meds unless we've given our doctor a very good reason to suspect it, which 99% of us haven't done. We were supposed to be seen at least once a month and be tested each time too, but my doctor got angry about them trying to tell him what to do so he purposely went against them and changed my appointments to once every three months and kept them like that all the years I saw him for the pain. I was so proud of him!!!
It's interesting you said that about how the state is very liberal in the cities but the rural areas are conservative. It's that way here in New Hampshire too. In fact, I live in what is the most Christian town of the entire state, according to the last census and surveys that have been done. I was amazed to discover that of all the many places the Lord could have had me travel to and put down roots in, He chose this one place that was and still is the most Christian out of the entire state. He's so amazing! Most of the state doesn't even acknowledge God.
It's 5 am now and I've been awake since 2am. So I've only had 3 hours sleep at the very most. I expect to fall back to sleep any time now, so probably won't be back to post any more today. |

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday. We got a new fridge, and it literally took me all day long to get the food out of our old one and get it cleaned; (I put all the food in 5 large coolers with ice). Then once they installed the new fridge, I had to put all the food back into the fridge and then clean the kitchen. By then it was supper time and about 30 minutes later our electricity went out! I couldn't believe it. All I could do was pray and the Lord got it back on in 30 minutes, so we didn't lose any food.
I watched the video....it is funny but totally sad!

I gave my daughter her Firstborn Blessing. As she is our only child it was important to make sure she knew how much I wanted to bless her in the name of Jesus Christ.
I think the great thing about delivering my blessing is being really aware of the state of the world. My wife was raised catholic but not saved I dont think. And I view the world through the Word, but my wife is a hard headed pragmatist. Non Christian people just dont "get it" sometimes, so me for example turning down a good job (because God said to), makes no sense to them.
But I now have only one prayer really now - that my daughter and wife both get saved. Cindy, could you please delete all my prayer requests please and replace them with this one prayer request - That my wonderful Wife and daughter get saved, delivered from the devils clutches please. Thank you.

Seven, remember a few months ago about the supply chains disrupted blamed on the pandemic at the Los Angeles port, well it is happening again, the latest partical shutdown is at the Ningbo-Zhoushan port in China, so that again will slow the flow of goods that people want to buy.
