Hi everyone,
Firstly thank you for your kind words about my daughter.
Please keep praying for her, its almost like the evil one is trying to break her, as she was talking about leaving her school to start over
As parents were doing what we can, but now God has been given this as you suggested Cindy, so I will keep praying for her tormentors, and I have given it to God to handle.

Good Morning my friends! It's so good to be with you all each day.
We've been enjoying our critters and our cats. I think I told you that we have added a rabbit and another raccoon to our yard. Oh yeah, I remember now that I even posted a picture of the rabbit. The turkeys come by every once in a while still too. Our granddaughter Gracie has named a whole bunch of the squirrels and chipmunks. Honestly, I can't remember all of their names, but she does lol. She looks for each one when they're here, just to make sure they're ok. After all these years, the squirrels and chipmunks and the birds are all so tame that they not only don't run away when they hear us talking, they stay where they are when we come outside to join them. We can now walk right up to them and they'll just sit where they are and look at us. The chipmunks though are even more tame as they love to play when we come out to work in the garden. They run right to us as fast as they can and then slide to stop right in front of us. They'll sit there and chatter and then run off. Then a minute later, they're right back again talking to us! Gracie and Elijah both get a kick out of that! When we've let their food run out for more then 24 hours, the birds come and tap at my bedroom window. It's right behind my computer monitor so they know I can see them, and I know they're saying "give us food now!!!!" LOL. I don't allow the kids to touch the animals though. I don't want the animals getting that familiar as it could be their undoing if they start thinking all humans won't hurt them. Plus, it's also to protect the kids. You never know if one of them might have a disease that they could pass on. It's unlikely, but possible....
Well, I'd better get busy. See you all later!

Wow! Cindy!
I almost never go to our back room, but I went there about a week ago, to get something I stored there and at our window was a humming bird...looking in, and flying back and forth horizontally.... Saying 'feed me NOW!'
So I did re-fill the feeder and he did come and tank up LOL
I know what you mean about not letting the 'critters' become to used to humans.
We made that mistake once....with the raccoons, until, we found out that our landlord, had put out poison the kill them and a mom and her babies came out from under a 'hut' and died from the poison.
So yeah, some folks will kill critters they deem nuisances.
It's hard not to make total 'friends' with them, but yeah, for their sake...a nice but somewhat distance is necessary. :(

That's so sad that he did that. Some people just don't give the critters a chance. So, what's everyone up to lately?

That's great that you all have a squirrel too! I know what you mean about your vaccination card. There was only one place left that we hand to wear a mask at and that's at any medical facility, including dental and eye care. Thankfully we no longer have to wear them even there. That's a great relief!

I agree Cindy about the landlord and raccoons. But I suppose, to be 'kind of fair' to him there were at least 2 reasons ( in his mind, to do such a cruel thing.... it was a very very cruel solution.....in my mind)
One 'reason' ( I mentioned this before) was a neighbor with a small white dog, the small dog went after a mother raccoon's babies, and the mother raccoon defended her little babies....
and 'hurt' the little dog... she did not 'kill' the dog, tho I would think she could have?
So the tenant expected the landlord to pay the somewhat spendy vet bill...
the dog had a scratch and a leg injury ( which was fine in a few weeks).
But the vet charged a LOT of money ( I think around $2,000 or $3,000)! shots, and a stay over night, and test for rabies, a splint for the leg and meds etc etc.
So the landlord agreed to pay a portion.....
but I think he felt to avoid that kind of cost ever again, he would rid his property of raccoons... but what a sad way to do it!
Secondly, I think, he was of the opinion, that perhaps the raccoons were doing some sort of structural damage to the buildings? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ But on another cuter happier note:
Leonard just came in the house...with another colorful leaf...
from Bob ( the 1/2 Maine coon cat and Norwegian Forrest cat... that is now our 2nd cat....
(previous owners moved, and no cats allowed in new place, and they have 2 baby on the way etc etc.)
we can always tell, these leaves are from Bob, because they have 2 perfect round tooth holes LOL Where he carries them in his mouth...
( I have actually seen him carrying them and just found out, so has my daughter!) :)
Bob has to walk with them quite a distance, in order to bring them to Leonard ( he leaves either by Leonard's car door side or our front door).
I find that so amazing!
A mouse, a rat, a bird, even an insect... or even some morsel of 'food' a cat might have rounded up...
I can see a cat bringing to their human...
but to walk a long way with colorful leaves in their mouth?
That seems so odd and yet beautiful
and Leonard sooooo appreciates them LOL
And yesterday, our daughter, Hossanah, told me that Bob has now taken to bringing them colorful leaves also. He dropped one at her feet the other day, and for a brief moment, she thought it was a mouse LOLOL
I guess, he can tell her family and ours are related, as we are always chatting outside.
As far as I know, he does not bring leaves to any other tenant.... I am 99.99 % sure he does not.
But really? Where would a cat come up with that? Any ideas?

Good day, God bless. We have gotten some rain, nice to see the color green on the ground instead of the color brown. There is the edible weed Purslane growing, so I have been able to eat that from what I will call my nature garden, and I have gotten a small amount of clover. This Thursday I will be able to get the ingredients so I can make for the first time what is called Fire cider, if you have never heard of that it is an immune supporting tonic. I was reading about the dust bowl and there still was tumbleweed, and another weed growing at that time. Back then there was a woman that canned tumbleweed to keep her family to be able to have something to eat. That would be rough, I tried young tumbleweed plant the other day and I would not want to have to rely on that.

The person who's dog got hurt is a prime example of people being sue crazy. That wasn't the landlords fault it was theirs for not keeping their dog on a leash when it's outside. It's up to the owners to protect their dog, not the landlord. As far as the racoons doing structural damage, I can't answer that without doing a bit of research. But as far as I know, about all they are likely to do is get into people's trash looking for food. To me it shows how we tend to not respect the gift of life in anyone or anything. We tend to consider it normal for someone to shoot squirrels or poison this or that animal because it's a nuisance or even just in case it might become a nuisance. Of course we also do the same thing with other human beings. We kill people we don't like, or don't agree with, and even kill our own children. Please note that I'm using the word "we" on purpose as I include myself in this. (no I haven't killed any animals, just that I know I'm capable of it as is everyone)
Bob sounds like a wonderful cat, with a great personality! It's amazing what some animals will do for their human families. Most seem to be able to tell when someone is an extended family member. I believe that research showed they do that by scent.
Wait till fall season that when leaves on the tree going for colorful colors there is place here in SO CAL near Lake Arrowhead they are first trees in SO CAL that show Cali folks when Autumn begins Oh, I love the fall here too! Everything looks so beautiful! It makes me think that all the trees got dressed up tor the Lord!Well it been warm not as warm as could be in month of July going into August I think only go mid 80s today later on this week 90s BABY BTW I been busy I try find couple of whiteboard I could write on can't find one at Office depot or Staples I have feeling all school teachers took them you know the type of whtie board you could mark on that type They often have whiteboards at Walmart, both small ones and some that are fairly big. Back then there was a woman that canned tumbleweed to keep her family to be able to have something to eat. That would be rough, I tried young tumbleweed plant the other day and I would not want to have to rely on that. Yeah, it's amazing what people will do to survive. You're welcome to the clover all around our house any time!
I don't know why but something made me think of my dog, Captain. When I was just a toddler...I think I was 2 years old at the time; my dad had promised me a dog. On my birthday he brought the dog home. My Mom had lined up a bunch of chairs and had all me and my cousins sit down in them. My Dad, with the dog on a leash, (a Doberman) brought the dog up to us and gave him a command to sniff each one of us, which he did. I can remember him going down the row and sniffing each of us in turn, which made us all giggle. After he finished sniffing us, my Dad told him to "go to Cindy" and he turned around and walked over to me and put his big head in my lap. My Mom was amazed, but of course we were too young to know it was anything special. Captain was a police dog (My dad was sheriff at the time). He saved my life countless times and the lives of many others as well. I have a picture taken of him when he was carrying a person who was starting to drown out of flooded waters. He got that person and many others to dry land that day. The only problem my parents had was that he wouldn't let any babysitters touch me. They couldn't even cover me up in bed. That was ok though because Captain would pull the covers over me himself. And if I left my sweater outside (I had a tendency to just leave it wherever I took it off at lol) After I'd gone inside to my Mom for whatever reason, then Captain would go get my sweater. My poor mother thought she'd never be able to teach me to take care of my things because Captain did it for me lol. He saved me from a number of rattle snakes and from a mountain lion. (We lived on a huge ranch near Tucson, Arizona.) He was a wonderful dog and I loved him dearly.
This is for each of you:

I totally agree, Cindy....
basically all the raccoons wanted was food, and when some of us did feed them on occasion, ( before the dog incident ) they did not get in the garbage ( which they do now...not being feed...by humans anymore).
I also agree, it was the owner's job to train and protect her little dog.
I don't mean every little dog owner... but some owners, tend not to train their little dogs... maybe thinking because the dog is little, it is harmless ( in their mind, not like a big dog)
Perhaps I am wrong... and for sure, I know owners of big dogs, that have not been trained either.
I trained my Airedale for 3 years ( to be certain she was never a threat to humans, but also to protect her).
It sometimes seems to me, little dogs are sometimes more apt to bite, than a big dog, because maybe, their idea is, strike first, because they are little?
But what that dog was thinking attacking baby raccoons , when the mom ( twice as big as the dog) was right there? not too bright LOL
and it could have been more tragic ( for the dog..... but in the end, for the baby raccoons).
I think you are also right....cats are always smelling everything....
our little orange cat.....insists on sniffing everything Leonard eats.... she does not put her nose in his dish....she just needs a whiff.... sort of of like the 'kings' of old....had a person test for poisons.
and they constantly smell us.... so I do think Bob 'knows' who is family, and who is not. :)

I'm glad you got a laugh Marlene, after all, that's the best medicine of all!
Yes, some folks don't train the pets just like some don't train their children. Sad, but true.
Sorry, I'm not up to posting much as I'm feeling really sick. But I've still got to do my chores....so I'd best get to it.

Sorry you are not feeling well today, I will remember you in prayer when at praise and worship with pastor Scott, I am there with just a few others that are there everyday, usually 5 to 8 other people. We have prayed for Scott's health, for shoulder pain and knee pain and he is feeling better and also now we are praying waiting to see where he will move to and live, as Scott, his wife and mother will be homeless in a month, we all know they will find a place to live, as he is looking and we are waiting to hear the good news. It is a good thing none of ya all live close to me because I would be offering you one of my homeopathic vinegar health tonics and then you would have to politely refuse it. lol

Good morning, yesterday afternoon while at Scott's site we said prayer for you, that was Sharlene, Teri, Scott, Gerhard and myself. Scott won't be there today, I will miss the Bible reading and tomorrow I will not be there because I will go to town to get some groceries as a truck comes once a month and I will get what I ordered in three boxes once the few other women and I unload the boxes from the truck, that has to be done as quickly as possible as the truck driver wants to move on as soon as he can.

Thank you so much for your prayers Marlene! I feel much better today. Yesterday was just plain awful. It was some kind of stomach bug, what I would have called the flu, years ago.
Actually I've taken apple cider vinegar in the past and it's not bad at all, if that's the kind you mean.
I hope you get your shopping all done and get everything you need. I'm sure your friends will get a nice home to live in. God is great at finding a place for us to live.

Barbra, I never thought about buying clover tea, I just got another idea, I have clover sprouts, which do not do well sprouting, I could sprout what they will and then dry them for tea, but clover tea I want to try as that is a cheap price and I can shop around as to where I want to buy it from. I wish I had dandelion growing here. Just last night I watched a video from a doctor about taking chamomile tea, 1/2 hour before bed time, helps a person sleep well, I will post taht (I never type that word right) that video here, I am more interested in the weight loss and people give good review about being able to sleep well and weight loss. You may have heard of the truck that I will get my food from tomorrow as they headquarter out of Dufur, OR, that is Azure standard. azurestandard.com

Just so you guys know, "Dr" Mandell, isn't a real doctor. He's a retired Hollywood chiropractor, making big money now. Many of the things he's encouraged people to do have proven to be not only not helpful for what he said they would be, but actually detrimental. I also seem to recall that at least once it wound up causing the person to get very ill. I can't remember if they died or not though. I also can't remember if he was just sued or got in trouble with the law or both. Anyway, I stay far away from anything to do with him.
Well here from your fav very busy international news diva well I gearing up get back to work at school district going be in drive by until week of August 16 I be around check in tell everybody I didn't get shot, arrest or got thrown off FB or Twitter jail LOL! Everything is cool try keep cool in this hot weather I did house sit my brother house last week take care of his dog and cat Sitting by the pool LOL! The weather here's been really nice for a change. It's almost like a normal summer, but it's been so many years since we had a normal summer it's hard to remember lol. But at least the temps have stayed under 90 for the most part.
Hope everyone's having a good day. I'm behind as usual since I was so sick that one day. So I've got to get busy on my chores. I wish I could just sit here and post all day like I used to when we had the old board. What bugs me is that I know I used to sit here from 6am to 4pm every day. I'd do my Bible study and then post all day. And I'd post a LOT, sometimes as much as 100 posts a day. (I mean real posts, not just a smiley face or a couple of words). But besides that, I also went through up to 1000 emails a day, and a bunch of PM's. Plus, I took care of all the chores I still do daily, cleaning the house, washing dishes etc. and even spent a half hour walking every day (back when I still could walk without a lot of pain). I can't for the life of me figure out how I did it all though. Plus I remember having to spend a lot of time messing around with people who were trying to spam our site. We'd get literally hundreds of registrations every day. I had to install a service that would weed out the one who were obvious spammers, which cut it down a lot, but it still left me having to eyeball a bunch of registrations and either approve them or not. (that involved some research which took time too.) I wish I had a video or something that showed me how I did all that I did, because it just doesn't seem possible. I know I was physically able to do more and felt better, which helped a lot, but still.... I guess that's really all that was different.
So I know now that I did make the right decision in closing the board because of my health. I knew it was getting worse and I'd be able to do less, I just didn't realize how much less I'd be able to do! I sure do miss it though.....

I think she is talking about the previous board before this one, more people were there and she wrote more there. I was thinking this morning wondering how did I do the work that I did, years ago, I would never do that work now days even if it paided really well, it would not be worth it for me, I guess people change over time and also patterns and changes in the world, I remember the old board and I also used to stay up late at night listening to the radio, listening to Art Bell, the neighbor woman did that also and we talked about news that Art Bell had talked about.

I am not sure 7....
but I don't 'think' Cindy is closing this board? She never mentioned it to me. The previous board was closed like Anna said....so maybe that was it?
I have heard Dr. Mandell... I don't have a problem with him being a chiropractor... but rather, I do have a problem because he seems to be heavily into yoga.... and that is a problem....for me
Some of his neck exercises and back ones..... seem okay but still, I am not overly fond of trying them ( as JUST an exercise.... like one might from a physical therapist)
but not so much because of the yoga overtones....
So I don't really watch him...the eastern religion overtones is just too much....for me.....
the chiropractor.....part is just so-so..... I knew that.... but that part did not make me too 100% distrust him as far as neck and back exercises go.
Years and years ago, I have gone to chiropractors
( as well as all manner of boneafide true doctors....spine specialists for my scoliosis and back and neck pain)
I did get some short term help from pain from some of the chiropractors but it was always short term
and I got zip help from all the 'true' medical spine specialists they all wanted to do very intense surgery...... and that was all they had....
(except for back braces....specially made kind of a big big big elastic belt with a form fitted heavy plastic? insert )
Also went to physical therapists ( many different ones over the years) and all they had was exercises ( not unlike 'Doctor' Mandell's).... and back braces.
I did have just one doctor in my whole life, that did prescribe pain meds.....which helped... but he has died.....
and NO other doctor will prescribe pain meds these days... not for 'love or money' LOL :(
Soooooo yes, I do look for 'alternates' because the pain does not go away...
My main go-to is the Lord ( for everything and that is often my greatest help)
but I am also willing to try things like:
seaweed haha :)
Well the Japaneses eat these rice things rolled in seaweed, and I have bought in the distant past.... dulse flakes ( kind like adding salt to dishes) and I have always loved the little packages of roasted seaweed....in all different flavors)
and now I have Irish seaweed
I actually do feel a 'wee' bit better as a result of eating it ( emphasis on the word 'wee') but hey....with no pain meds.... even 'wee' bit better is something. And I have only been trying it for a month and only a few times....even real medicine can sometimes take weeks to kick in.... I do not have my heart set on any real cure except for when I get my new body from the Lord! :)
But yeah, I will try clover, dandelion, chamomile, seaweed....I doubt they will kill me any faster than all the virus going around I suppose something will ( heart, lungs, old age....something) if... we are not raptured soon.... I would so much rather that! :)

So Cindy any decision on closing the board you see me on FB posting news articles if you wish I be around on FB I was talking about our old board and why I closed it.
I suppose so Marlene.

He's also very much into the New Age Religion and very much against Christ.
Why do you say no other doctor will prescribe pain meds? Have you called different doctors or called whoever is taking on your old doctors patients? I know you guys don't like to drive any distance, but with covid, most doctors are seeing patients via computer anyway. I ask because I don't even have to call the doctor when I need to refill my morphine anymore. She just sends it automatically! I haven't had to take a drug test in almost 2 years now either, and I used to have to take them every 6 months. I also used to have to go in to see the doctor at least every three months, and now I don't have to go anywhere. I "see" my doctor either over the phone or over the computer now, which is a lot easier. At least here the whole "war on drugs" simply went away with the coming of Covid. Covid actually made my life easier because of that.
