Hey everyone. I'm alive...........in pain.........but alive. As the intial shock is wearing off, and a LOT of sleep, I'm starting to remember details of the accident. So, I'll write them here. And I am still getting flashbacks, and once again, fully understand PTSD trauma. My SUV hydro-planed on Thursday morning, on my way to work. I couldn't regain control. The more I tried, the worse it got. Then another SUV rounded the curve and I was heading right for her! I slammed the brake and turned my wheel to the right and side-swiped her, real hard. I remember seeing a silver flash of her car, going off the road. I then hit the pavement on the driver's side, slide, trip, go up again and then over. Head over heals, hit again, spin and landed HARD in a cornfield, with a tidal wave of water whooosh over top of me from the back of the car. I'm still not sure if it was the water/mud from the field or a bursted 24 pack of bottled water that I had in the back. I think maybe both, because I was soaked to the gills, and there was mud absolutely everywhere! And the back window blew out at the same instant. I think my car went over the trees, because the only place that I found where it remotely looked the same as I was seeing out the rain soaked glass was cornfield and trees. And if it is the same place, there's a culvert there, and a creek. I was trapped in the car. I could hear cars up on the road, going by, but everything was quiet but loud, if that makes any sense. The On-Star activated on my car, and an annoying menu couldn't understand my "HELP" plea. Then when it finally did, it said "I see you are asking for help. I'm sorry, you don't have enough minutes to complete your call, goodbye." (I don't have on-star, but it apparently will activate anyway, when the airbags are deployed) I started crying harder, knowing that I was somewhere off the road, obscured by the trees, and no one would find me! I started to pray for myself and stopped and hollered out "OH LORD, PLEASE HELP THEM! PLEASE SAVE THOSE PEOPLE! PLEASE, PLEASE LORD!" I tried my horn, and it sounded, so I kept hitting it. It seemed to be drowned out by all the loudness! I can't explain that, because it was quiet and I could hear birds, and cars. Then I heard voices! Voices coming toward me! I heard a woman say, "Oh my GOD, Oh, I don't think they made it." I panicked and started laying on the horn again. They heard me! They heard me! They tried to get my driver door open, but it was jammed. A woman......I think the same voice, moved the airbag, on the passenger side and saw me, and hollered out that I was alive and here she is! I started crying some more. More out of relief than anything else. The Lord came to my rescue! First thing I said, "Get those other people! Help them!" They all assured me that they are being examined by rescue and they seem fine and the children were not even crying. I said, "Oh, CHILDREN? There were babies in that car?! Oh LORD please help the babies!!" There was on EMT who stayed with me the whole time. Even in the ambulance. She was talking to me, out the driver's side, keeping me calm, while the rescue team was finding a way to get to me. I told her that I was seeing and smelling smoke, but before I finished my sentence, she explained to me that it was the airbag burning the powder on the inside. She said it's a foul smell. I said, "Yes, like burning plastic?" She said, "that would be it. You're not on fire." They were eventually able to force open the driver door, but I still was trapped. My back was hurting something fierce, otherwise, I would have just rolled out of there, into the mud, but every time I tried to move, my back twinged, like knives stabbing me. I heard a man's voice telling me to be patient, and they'd get me out, but we have to put you in a neck brace and on a board. Then he added that he has to still figure out how to get me on that board. Then I heard another man's voice, asking me if I remember what happened (I think he was the police officer and the only name that I have. Frank.) I said, "I hydro-planed and could not get back control." He said, "Thank you, and I think he left........dunno." I don't think so, though, because at some point someone was able to find my driver's license, that I tracked down, later, at the sheriff's office. There were about 5 people, I would guess, trudging through all that sinking mud to carry me out of there, and back up to the road. I was SO embarrassed. I said, "Can I help somehow? lol!" Then I said, I'm glad that there isn't even more flooding in this field. Then the woman EMT said, Oh, that would be better! Then we could float to the top of the hill! hahahahaha! Another man said, "Stop making me laugh, I'm losing my strength!" In the ambulance, the EMT told me that I have a good sense of humor, in spite of what's happened to me. I said, the Lord takes care of me, in spite of what I do to myself. Then I told her that the Lord is not done with me yet, apparently. She said, "You're right! He's got a job for you to do yet!" I was so happy to speak to people who never once, went against anything I said, about our Lord.
OK, I was only going to summarize what happened and wrote a novel, instead. And my back is not happy about it, not one bit, so I have to go rest it. It's very hard to sit in this chair, leaning forward to type.
I wanted to comment on the other fabulous posts, and can't right now, but I'll come back later, I hope. Thank you for all of your prayers! MUCH appreciated!!

Barbra I did buy a box of mothballs and they arrived through the mail, I took that brown box unopened and put it in my garage. I told Ron, I am not going to open this box now, I have to cook dinner.
Cheryl, I cried when I read what you wrote and then I felt proud of you. Thank the Lord for his protecting angels that no one was seriously hurt.

Hi again, everyone. I'm going to try to reply to everyone, but if I skip you, it's not on purpose. I'm so sleepy, I can hardly keep my eyes open. But, I promised to try and come back, so here I am.......sort of...
Cindy, that dream was awesome! And no I don't remember you sharing that before, but you probably did, and I just don't remember right now. But, even still, it was worth a repeat!! How blessed you most definitely must feel, to have been visited by the Holy Spirit! Baruch Haba HaShem Adonai! (Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!) Such powerful words! I had to copy and paste it.
I'm so happy to know that Bruce is doing so well, now! Praise the Lord for answered prayer!!
Anna, that thing about you having to upgrade to WIN10, is something they are warning all WIN7 users about. I have found that because I never did all the updates and "fixes" that my old computer kept telling me that I needed, that my XP lasted a very long time, until the computer, itself finally just quit. But, Ed was real good about doing his updates, and guess what?......His WIN7 computer just when kaput, one day, with no warning. And I've seen that happen to a lot of WIN7 users, when they do the updates. My suspicion? They actually CAUSE it, so you have to buy new equipment.
I'm using an 8.1, all in one computer. I really like it. It's a touch-screen too. The one I use, at work, is a WIN10, and I really like it, and didn't have to really get used to anything. I think it's because of this one, at home. Very similar. I'm the only one, at work, with the new 10. Everyone else are still using the 7, and they are having loads of problems, with loading and internet speed. I want, so badly, to start checking with the "powers that be" to see when my colleagues can get their upgrades too, but that would be stepping on toes, and I certainly try to avoid that. LOL But, I'm here to tell you that WIN10 is faster, smoother and much easier to navigate than any other (besides the 8.1), I've used. I've had, on occasion, to have to use one of the other computers, while away from the front to do payroll and it's yucky! Screens locking up, slow to process, linking up to the scanner and copier was near impossible. And when they've had to use my computer, they hate it. LOL!
OH, I need to ask............what's an AI? lol
Leigh, I'll bet that was such a lovely wedding!! I can't wait to hear all about it, and see the pictures that you might share on FB! And I'll bet that your piano playing was the highlight of the event, besides the bride and groom, of course. I hope to see videos of you playing!
Lulu, I don't remember if I posted condolences for your loss, but know that I prayed for you and your loved ones, for comfort during this time.
Steve, I love reading about your horse events, and the fact that to Lord spoke to you and gave you discernment was just AWEsome!
Margie, your last post said it's gotten Texas Summer hot, now. Does that mean that you've gotten some relief from all the rain? I hope so, and I hope that you have somewhere to hunker down, with all the tornado weather you've been having. I check all over, and saw some of that nasty red and orange over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area last week. You were in my prayers!
Mark, I hope all is well with you and Shirley! I miss your check-ins!
Barbara, please check in more often, so we know you're OK.
Wow, I've missed someone. I know I did, but this has taken me a long time to type, and I need to go lay down. See y'all later, ok?

Oh Cheryl!!!! How completely scary, sad, and yet, God was with you! I am so sorry you are hurting. I can understand you would be after all that. I will be praying for you and the other people. Thank you for letting us know the complete story. I loved the way you talked about our Lord to the EMT etc. Even tho you had to be in shock and so much pain!!!

I also got a call Friday night from Mark. Shirley's been very sick and so their road trip has been delayed for awhile. She's back at home and he's taking care of her, but doesn't think she'll be up to traveling for another week or more. His computer also has some bad viruses so he's unable to be here, but is getting that taken care of soon and will post as soon as he can. Obviously though, they also need prayer.Lord I pray for Cheryl and the other people that were involved in the accident. May your healing presence be with them restoring them with new strength as each hour passes. May they feel the uplifting of your presence Lord, blessing them with rest, healing and hope in you Jesus. In Jesus name I pray. Thank you Jesus for hearing my prayer. Praying in agreement!Hi all,
Ive been helping out a horse event, we have local XC and showjumping comp, and we got roped into putting out the flags for the XC course . 13 yo daughter is horse mad, so its good to keep her busy. I spent the morning bouncing around in the back of the ute ( pickup ) and jumping out every so often to put flags up either side of the jumps. I hope we have good weather for the event tomorrow.
I had an interesting experience with God - every so often we have the big boss come down and tell everyone whats going on. I felt pressured to go and my boss was definitely keen I attend, however when I asked God He said nope...nope...nope. So here I am worried about upsetting my boss, but God was adamant. After the 10th time of asking God, He said "Its Me you should fear, not man."
Okaaayyyy then.. No more questions.....eep.
I got my bottom smacked by God.....I guess its good training in obedience. So of course I didnt go to this big pow wow, lesson learned :-) Hope all is well with everyone.
For sure a big lesson learned! I remember having to tell my boss one day that I hadn't gone to something she wanted me to because the Lord had said, "No". She took it pretty well, considering lol.Oh Cheryl!! I am praying for you and the other folks.
Make me # 3 in not liking AI's.
Anna, Yikes another dust devil!! Get thee to the moth ball store hurry hurry. I am glad you are alright tho. That has to be mega scary!!!
Hope everyone had a good weekend. We got everything done and the kids came over yesterday. But Bruce had another headache about suppertime last night, so that put a damper on things. Hopefully it won't happen again. I think it was caused by us missing his methotrexate shot last week so he'd taken it late. I put a reminder on my computer though so that won't happen again!

Oh Cheryl, Praying for your healing and pain lessening. I remember you asked what is AI it is= artificial intelligence
Quote wikipedia
"Artificial intelligence can be classified into three different types of systems: analytical, human-inspired, and humanized artificial intelligence.
Analytical AI has only characteristics consistent with cognitive intelligence; generating cognitive representation of the world and using learning based on past experience to inform future decisions.
Human-inspired AI has elements from cognitive and emotional intelligence; understanding human emotions, in addition to cognitive elements, and considering them in their decision making.
Humanized AI shows characteristics of all types of competencies (i.e., cognitive, emotional, and social intelligence), is able to be self-conscious and is self-aware in interactions with others.
algorithmic improvements, and access to large amounts of data enabled advances in machine learning and perception; data-hungry deep learning methods ....
Many AI algorithms are capable of learning from data; they can enhance themselves by learning new heuristics (strategies, or "rules of thumb", that have worked well in the past), or can themselves write other algorithms.
As far as I know many major sites use AI's Google,Facebook etc.
That being said many experts in the field warn of the dangers of AI
theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking said artificial intelligence "could spell the end of the human race."
Elon Musk ( not a believer) said it was "summoning the demon" However his solution is we must 'merge' with AI with machines or become irrelevant in AI age... Musk explained what he meant by saying that computers can communicate at “a trillion bits per second”, while humans, whose main communication method is typing with their fingers via a mobile device, can do about 10 bits per second.
Therefore he has created and launched Neuralink, a venture to merge the human brain with AI"
.... I think the idea is its kind of a chip/mesh in the brain to boast human bandwidth
And Bill Gates said: "I agree with Elon Musk and some others on this and don't understand why some people are not concerned."
All in all, I am not in favor of AI.....I am sure it has some 'good' advantages but it could well be the atheist Elon Musk has hit the nail on the head, when he said, its unleashing the demon.
Of course, our God is not unaware of what is going on and could shut the whole thing down with a blink of His eye, when the time is ready. Perhaps the anti-christ will use AI for his 7 year reign.....but never fear God is on His throne.
But I do not like AI

Cheryl I agree with the problems mentioned about windows 7, it feels like it is fighting with me and with those slow downloads, being dropped, slow internet speed and slow loading, something things jam and I have to unplug the computer.
At my bible study teacher Michael site, he has scrolling chat and he has put AI there, it's name is Admin:A. People can ask it questions, sometimes it answers and sometimes it does not. Michael is an intelligent man he is high ranking in the military working in Intelligence. But he is also a humble person, we found out that last Christmas time he went to tell the homeless people about the Lord, but they did not listen, so he slept on the street with them to try to reach them and they still did not listen to him, so he did all of that and then also went without eating food, then the people listened to him. I don't know about the AI because that info would come through e-mail and I can't change the old e-mail at his site to a new one, and I can't get e-mail from the old e-mail, so I am not close to the people and what goes on there with them. I just like Michael's Bible studies, I learn from what he teaches.

I wish I could have afternoon tea with this guy, I think it would be fun. I wonder if there is any dust in that room he is in. oh and I would take two of those small cakes to eat instead of just one, they all look yummy. English afternoon tea etiquette

It cleans up a LOT of unused temporary files that do not get removed, when you dump the cookies in IE. This removes only temporary files. It does not remove or damage the operating system.
Click on [start], choose [run]. In the white box, type in this exactly as it looks, with NO spaces. %temp% click [OK] or hit [enter]. The system will bring up all the temporary useless files that are jamming up your computer speed. Select All and Delete. Then empty your trash bin. There might be one or 2 files that do not want to delete. Just skip them. Hope that helps.

Cheryl, you told me that information a few years ago and ever since then I have been doing that everyday. I pay for Hitman Pro which scans my computer every time I log on, scans for malicious software, and removes tracking cookies that have loaded onto my computer. It removes about 30 to 50 of those tracking cookies a day. It is probably mostly the same tracking cookies that get removed every day.

I'd forgotten about that and haven't done it for quite some time, so thanks for the reminder Cheryl!
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm running behind as usual since I overslept. I seem to be doing that a lot lately and not waking up till 7 or 8. Drives me nuts as it means I can't spend as many hours with the Lord in His Word as I like to. Oh well, I guess it means that my body needs the sleep.
Something weird has happened. For years my body hasn't been able to maintain it's temperature right. I can be freezing when it's 80 or hot when it's freezing. It's weird, but it's what happens. Bruce has always been nice a warm to the touch, but neither heat or cold has ever bothered him. He goes out in a t-shirt in the winter or summer and his temp is just fine....until this weekend anyway. Suddenly, he's having the same problem I've had for so long, and he actually got hot when it was in the 70's! (the only time I've seen him bothered by heat was when it was over 100 degrees before this!) He seems to be back to normal now, but it will be interesting to see if it happens again and if it's going to the norm for him now like it has been for me for so long. RA affects everyone differently so I find it fascinating to compare our symptoms . Mine started before his and is more advanced as a result, plus he's taking meds for his and I'm not. So it's like watching it from the very start for me. I know, I'm weird, but I like to research things LOL.

I thought I may have mentioned it, once or twice, or 3 times. But, it's always worth a repeat, if it helps someone or gives a reminder. That's cool that you've been doing that all along, Anna!
I had to leave work, early, today. My back is not doing well. So, I have to get off this thing. Cindy, I would have called you, and started to, but got home to 4 calls from the insurance...mine and hers.

Cindy your talking about the ability to maintain body temperature reminds me of a car thermostat, probably because I am always talking to Ron about car maintenance. In the wintertime Ron's body thermostat doesn't work well, he gets cold when it is warm in the home. We think it might have something to do with his autonomic system.

I had an e-mail from John from India, his name is Nidanapu we discussed what he called his burden and he asked me to pray. He said he was in love and wanted to marry a God fearing Christian woman but he can't get married because he does not have the large amount of money it will cost for the wedding, the young lady has already been waiting a year, when he gets married he will have to feed 500 people plus the cost of the clothes and ceremony, rented stuff. So I say to him, forget the struggle for money just get the girl you love and marry her, go to the courthouse or what is called a special marriage act and just get married. I sent an e mail video to him on how to do that. He said only orphans can do that, his dad is a minister who must marry him, they are still in old fashion ways, the congregation of the 500 people would be against that..... By the time I got done reading his e-mail I felt I was getting a stress headache. He said marriage in other countries is easy but in India it is difficult, pray for me.

I'm sorry to hear you got a headache Marlene. Of course I'll pray for you!
We had a nice weekend, first shopping on Saturday and then Sunday the kids came over after church, which is always great!

We had a big storm yesterday beginning about 2 pm. We had stopped for lunch after church but got home before the storm hit. The wind blew rain directly onto our patio. 2 boxes of plant stuff got soaked. The cushion on the lounger was tied on or else it would have been blown away.
This morning I saw roof shingles in the parking lot so maybe the new roof that was put on this year was damaged too. The downstairs dining areas, hallways and post office box corner were flooded. The kitchen staff had the basics put out for breakfast. There are a lot of fans on the floor with their cords taped down, but they are a problem for all the people here using walkers and electric scooters. But in Dallas a big crane was blown over into an apartment and 1 person was killed. Good Grief - spring weather in Texas!

Anna! Please DO NOT send any money to this person!!! He is a scammer!! This is exactly the type of letter that they send! They are extremely convincing and know exactly how to tug at your heartstrings! PLEASE, block him from your email! And of course, I prayed for you. I prayed that God will protect you, from him!!

Margie, I'm so glad that you were safe from that storm, and got home, before it hit!
I hope they get the damage repaired soon, and be able to get those electrical cords up off of the wet floors!
Thank you for the birthday and get well cards!

Happy Birthday, Cheryl! Hope you have a really great day.
There are still fans all over the floors, but the kitchen and dining room seem to be back to normal. Happy Hour is still scheduled for this afternoon in the Coffee Lounge downstairs. If management cancelled Happy Hour I think there would be a rebellion!
Hugs to all.

Good Grief - spring weather in Texas!
wow, sounds scary Margie! I'm so glad you guys are OK though! That's awful about the crane falling and killing that person. I remember some storms like that from when I was living in Texas. They can be pretty bad, that's for sure.
Bruce sees the orthopedic doctor today, hopefully for another injection. His last one was 6 months ago and about two weeks ago his lower back began swelling again. Now it's just as badly swollen as it was before he got the first injection, and of course is causing him pain. I sure hope the doc will give him another injection, although I imagine he'll want to talk about other possible things they can do too. We'll see.
How are you doing Cheryl? I take it you've been working every day...otherwise I assume you would have called. I'm glad you're able to, although I was hoping we'd get to chat some more!

Yes, Happy Birthday Cheryl! Thanks for reminding us Margie!

Cheryl, thank you for your advice and your prayer worked, I will take your advice and do what you say. Anna, I received a letter, very similar to the one you posted about, years ago. I shared it on the old FH board and Cindy was the one who alerted me to the scam. And when I called the writer down on her game, her letters were not as kind and convincing like before. Which confirmed the warning from Cindy. I've since seen similar ones, and just delete them and move on. The Lord gave me discernment, through the people I trust the most. My Fresh-Hope family. ((hugs))

That's sweet of you to give me credit Cheryl, but honestly, it was the Lord. He just used me to deliver it lol. I'm glad I obeyed Him and was able to help that way though. There are so many scams coming from that area of the world right now, I rarely trust any of them. I have some that follow me on facebook, but when they try to PM me I ask them not to as I don't carry on private conversations on facebook. They continue to try though, so I always wind up banning them from messenger at least. And they all seem to have some kind of sob story. The thing is, we all have our own sob stories, so it's not that I necessarily doubt that they're going through a hard time, but that's not the way you approach a complete stranger, regardless of whether or not they're a brother or sister in Christ. They often just ask for prayer first, and then hit you for money later. That's why I stop them at the prayer stage lol.
I'm curious, has anyone ever noticed the news feed at the top of the forums on the home page? (the home page is the page where you can see all the forums on the board.)

Hi everyone, been out playing with horses. Hope everyone is well.... Fearnot, I recall reading some reports from these Christian news source www.trunews.com ( they pray on air...its cool... ), but their take on AI is that its going to be used as a "Global brain" to monitor everyone on earth. This is the reason they push "cloud" for everything - so it can scanned and monitored. Its *not* for your benefit. They also covered a major phone industry get together in Spain where they had live microchipping of humans on stage and they cheered! I've always said all AI needs a "kill switch" . in a recent Netflix movie called "I am Mother" the girl who was raised by an IA driven robot eventually shoots it dead as its gone rogue. Satan has to use AI and global surveillance as he is not omnipotent like God, so Satan has to create a global brain to watch everyone. When you think about it, it makes sense. By the way Siri in you phone and the phone camera that finds faces in pictures you take, is drive by AI....

Cindy, you have way more patience than I do. I don't even respond to anyone, who sends me private messages. I just block them and move on. I had a death threat one time and reported it to FB and the message that came back was that it wasn't against their community standards. I wrote back and gave them a piece of my mind. All the good it did, though. I was talking to an algorithm.
Yes, I see your news feed on the homepage. The banner messages that go across, right? Yes, I read them, when I come to FH. Today is Peter 4:7-8 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded & self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
