Yes, Daniel is doing a good job posting in the end times forum and so are you doing a tremendous job to type out and post what you do, and so right on truthful. I think the rapture is coming soon and I also want to keep my mind on the Lord.

Summer has arrived in Texas - it's really warm here.
When I went out to get the newspaper this morning I found a small (about 4" across) box turtle in the flower bed. There is no field or creek behind us anymore, just new houses and lots of construction machines. So I took it to the animal shelter when they opened at 10 to see if they knew what to do with it. The lady said there was a local vet they called for turtle care. Hope it ends up with good care or a safe place to live in the wild. I feel sorry for all the critters who lost their homes because of the new construction.
Doing laundry and cooking chicken for tonight's supper. Air conditioner is already running!

Good Morning all! Thank you Anna, that's really nice of you to say that.
I hate to see the animals lose their homes too Margie. It was nice of you to take him someplace that will try and find him a place to live in the wild where he belongs.
That's neat about the championship Kelly!
I slept in really late today. Seem to be doing that more and more now that I'm sleeping again. I don't mind though as it seems to be what my body needs. I'm just thrilled I can finally sleep again.
We didn't get home till 7:30 last night, so it was a long day for me. I didn't get done with putting everything away and my other chores till 8:45. So I did stay up a little later, as I couldn't just run off to bed right away.
Today is the first graduation party and I've got to get ready to go soon. I'm still not all the way awake though, so want to finish my coffee first.
I didn't get the pictures of the rest of the garden yesterday like I planned to so maybe I can do that today. We'll see. Hope everyone has a good day!

Margie, it was good to read what you did to help the turtle, sometimes I see turtles in nature here where I live.
Cindy, I hope you have fun at the party, looking forward to hearing about it.
Seven, I once had a girlfriend who bet at the horse races and she said she won money every time she placed a bet on a horse. She said she knew the secret to winning and would talk to me about it sometime, that may have been what she was talking about when she told me she paid a lot of money to find out the information to know how to win. She just bet a small amount of money, I think she went there mostly to socialize with the people there.

Hello all.I don't know how to get the Phil.Verse from showing up everywhere! It is always first sentence on my posts and I posted the wrong post.I got my verse in my signature but don't know how I got that other verse up so I can't take it down . Hi Cindy.Boy do you have a lot of fun plans! Please take it easy and have FUN!You are starting to do too much on the board.I don't want you to get to feeling overwhelmed. Though feelings are fleeting and not dependable so God has your back.I really appreciate what you do. I have tried all the changes you did to this skin but they don't work for me .They worked on the original skin but I forgot how to go back to that.I saw your new post but haven't went there yet cause I know it will take me hours to figure things out and anymore I don't have the luxury to sit here for hours. Lorrie Steven moved back in when he was 37 and 2 yrs later he is doing so much better, less drinking, going to work EVERYDAY! He wasn't mad at me just tired. And his phone is broken. Also,y'all made me think of a song by Steven Curtis Chapman from over 20 yrs ago.I wish you could get Timothy to look it up on u=tube and listen to it. It is called "the Great adventure".It's fast, still young.and I think it excites young Christians to go on that "Adventure."Here's the first verse Started out this morning in the usual way.Got a list in front of me of all I have to do todayI opened up my Bible and I read about me. Said I had been a prisoner but His Grace had set me free.Somewhere between the pages it hit me like a lightening bolt,Theres a new frontier in front of me and I heard somebody say "Let's go". Chorus-Saddle up your horses, we've got a trail to blaze, through the wild blue yonder, of God's Amazing Grace. Just follow your Leader in to the glorious unknown, This is life like no other, this is the great adventure. ___ It still fires me up :roflol:You have raised your boys in the nurture of the Lord and He is going to be fine. Hi Cheryl,Anna,Mark,Catt,Barb,Lulu and Kel and Margie and Debi.I can't think of anymore right now but will get better. I paid our bills and got cigs and paid for Cody to get spayed(thank God!) But wound up with fifty dollars for groc and we are out of everything. So I panic and start calling churches .After I did I felt really wrong. Why did I try to solve this on my own?God is teaching me to depend on Him ,not me, and I already had my hand in it! One church came and brought us some veggies and PB& J. And potatoes.I won't ask Steven. He has a family of 5 now to take care of.Levi had to go to ER with a high fever and he has an ear infection and upper respiratory infection. So he got a shot and meds and now 4 days later he is so much better but now has broken out in a rash.,all over his stomach, spreading to face arms and legs.Robin is going to watch him in case he is having a reaction to the anti-biotics.But it's been four days...so what could it be? I have decided not to mention this lack of groceries after this and sit back and WAIT for the Lord to handle it.Me and Larry really don't eat much. And Larry has quit eating meat!I made a whole pan of lemon -pepper chicken with steak fries and he ate the fries and never even tasted the chicken!Larry has seriously cut down on his sodas. He drinks Kool-Aid til .we run out of sugar, lol. .So that's what going on here not good but no worries. That is sinning and no telling God how to fix it and no asking any more churches.I call all the food banks and only one came so I didn't handle it like the Lord would have My back is screaming and it might take a couple of days to get back here.,Oh and also,I lost all my promotions on my phone and internet. It is now 75.00 that I can't afford so I will be cutting it off soon I will sure miss everyone :sigh:But I still have it for now .If we can cut back on our cigs.I may get to keep it and we are really trying.I could use some prayer for this month. The preacher was the one who actually brought my box and he prayed over me.It was wonderful. He is a new preacher at the first church God sent me to .And he said attendance had dropped to 40 but was back up around 90 now.Awesome.I see church in my future.Love y'all so much,Ruthanne

ruthanne, Hey! Me too. Vegetarian as of last Friday. I want to clean up my insides and slim down my outsides. I have been gluten free for about 5 months. It is much easier to go to the grocery store. There are so many things I used to lust after, that I don't even want any more. My goal is to be GF vegan for 6 more months. God willing.

Good Morning all! It's so good to hear from you Ruthanne! I'm sorry you're low on food right now though. It seems like many of us have been having to deal with that lately. The Lord will provide though. He always does. It sounds like you all are doing really well. I sure hope you don't lose your internet. I'll certainly ask the Lord to intervene!
Thanks Anna and Lulu. A picnic in the park sounds lovely!
Jenn and Bob and the kids followed us to the party. It was a long drive. It was very nice once we got there. Michelle and her family and Jenn and her family all sat with us at one big table outside. So we all got to chat with each other for a couple of hours, and of course Jessica was there and all excited over graduating. She's planning on going on to college to study management, which is good. She's been accepted at a local college, but I can't remember the name of it.
As the day went on yesterday I kept feeling worse and worse. I think I caught whatever Jenn has had. When we got home all I wanted to do was go to bed, but my friend had called before we left and I'd told her I'd let her know when we got home cause she needed to talk. So I called her and she came over. She's been going through a very hard time lately and just needed someone to talk to. She left around 7:30, so after that I checked on facebook and then went to bed.
Still not feeling well, but Cassandra's last concert is tonight and I don't want to miss that. So I'll have to get supper made and have us eat early so we can be there on time. I'm sure it's going to be fantastic as Cassandra sings like an angel! But, because of how I'm feeling, I'm not up to doing any of the work behind the scenes today. I already made a couple of posts, and probably won't do much more. I'm going to try to rest before I have to get ready to go and do supper.
Hope you all have a great day today!

((((Jetheb))))) !!!!!
So happy to hear from you! Thank you for the update - it helps us know how to pray for you. So glad your children are willing to help, and congratulations on your granddaughter's marriage.
(((Cindy))), so sorry to hear you are sick. Will pray for you to feel better soon. Glad you got to spend time with your family and pray you will feel well enough to go to the concert tonight (I know you'll go even if you don't feel well, but you'll enjoy it a whole lot more if you are improving!)
(((Catt and Ruthanne))) - thanks for your posts. Ruthanne I was beginning to worry since you haven't written lately. Thank you for the words to that song; I'd forgotten about it, but it's a great one! I watched the video last night on Youtube ( so funny, his hair & styles from the early 90s! ) It's perfect for a young person.
Well I must get busy. Home from my sister's (yesterday) and need to clean up because her family might be coming through here on Wednesday on their way to vacation; you just don't wait until the last minute to prepare for a family of 10! Hello to everyone else here.

I'm so sorry you have been feeling low. And I know you're missing Eileen. Congrats to your granddaughter getting married! Don't be such a stranger. If you can, visit often. We love hearing how you are doing! Lorrie, I sure hope your sister can make it by, on her way through. Ten people is nice.... lol a LOT, but I'm sure there is lots of fun and laughter. Cindy, enjoy Cassandra's concert. I sure hope that someone records it. I love hearing her sing. I hope that whatever you picked up, passes. It would be awful if you are feeling bad for her last concert. Yes, I feel also that Daniel is doing a great job posting the news and articles. Ruthanne, I sure hope you don't lose your internet. We would sure miss you around here. OK, there is probably more posts I should be replying to, but the rain out there is coming down in sheets, and I don't want to wind up losing my power and this post, so I'd better get it sent.

I'm sorry Kelly, I was in a hurry to get my post sent, before the power went. But, as it turns out, the power stayed up, and the storm passed with no ado. It's still raining off and on, and the sky looks green. But, the storm moved on by us. Figures..........lol, I watered the garden, this morning. Thank you for all your news info. It's quite valuable to us, here at Fresh-Hope. Well, I made homemade BBQ sauce, and have had my ribs marinating in pineapple juice since 8 this morning. They should be falling off the bone, before I get them in the oven. Was able to find a nice slab of pork ribs for a half-way decent price. Meat is getting so expensive, I'm considering going vegan too.

John! So thankful about your kids helping out. That is what I've been praying for you. But, sorry about Aileen. And about your hurtful legs. I am learning about peripheral artery disease from your experience and my fathers. His feet are red with very dry skin. He has numbness in his feet and pain when lying down. They call it diabetic neurapathy. I think it is not from diabetes, but the bad circulation (also had CABG) in his legs.

Good Morning all! Just a quick post as thunderstorms are starting and I have to turn off my computer soon.
John! I'm so thankful you posted to let us know how you are! I'm sorry you've been feeling down though, and I will pray for you and your lovely wife.
Kelly, I'm sorry if I didn't mention you before. I love reading your posts too, and appreciate all you do for everyone! I've been telling my husband lately what you've told me about Alaska and your time there.
Glad you're safe and sound Cheryl!
I know I've missed some folks, and I apologize, but I'm trying to hurry...sorry....
The concert last night was great for the most part. We loved hearing Cassandra of course and she did a fantastic job as always. I just wish you all could have been there. We got to see her for a few minutes before we left too, and didn't get home till bed time, even though we left early! Now I know I'm old, when I have to be in bed long before my grandchildren!
These storms are supposed to go on all day I think, but I'm not sure. If they break up, I'll come back on here for sure.

Hi Seven. How could I have forgotten you?On the other board I didn't see you much in chat but you have been here since day one.I love you and didn't mean to forget you or John. Hi everyone else.I was wondering, what kinds of things can I cook with canned veggies?I have 2 large cans of hominy. What in the world?!?So I look up recipes. Why does everything have garlic?57 yrs old is not the time to learn to cook totally different! Not really.I just have to use my noodle.Noodles,my fav.but not diabetic or weight friendly.So,tonight,mac.and cheese, fried pot. and green beans and onions.Mac & cheese for me and fried pot and green beans for Lar.He LOVES them, got supper planned.Always scrambled egg sandwich for breakfast as of the last 3 wks, when bacon(which I always kept for him)started hurting his stomach.God blessed me with 50.00 yesterday and I went and got some essentials.Like eggs, butter, milk, sugar, and one case of sodas.Larry usuallydrinks 6 to 8 cases a month and has started drinking milk and kool-aid.For his stomach. Guys,I have to go.I haven't replied to anyone but I can't sit here ,and my heating pad broke. My dr. told me to stop using it as I have really burned my back(no burn pain) and I didn't quit.So it quit.John,I really wanted to tell you how happy I am you posted.I wondered about you alot and hope you can come and maybe help a little of that lonliness. We can't help with you missing Eileen but we do love you.Cheryl, love to read from you and Lorrie and Cindy and Lulu and I could go on and on.I just love reading about people who are really living. Not discontent ,mind you, just ready to train for whatever.Oh Lord,I really have to move,so maybe talk to all y'all soon,Love RuthanneP.S.Catt,Maybe we can talk about vegan recipes and help each other

Morning everyone! Boy am I glad Daniel's out of school now.... we slept til almost 9:00 today, which is great, as I slept terrible all last week. Those two nights in Virginia visiting my sister, I didn't get to sleep before 3:00 a.m. (couldn't fall asleep), which was awful.
Ruthanne.... haven't had hominy in a long, long time! Mother used to fix it occasionally when I was growing up and to be honest I never acquired a taste for it. Your supper plan sounds good though (when I first read "fried pot" I thought, "WHAT?!?" then realized you must mean fried potatoes! ).
Cindy, that is funny about knowing you're old since you have to get to bed before your grandchildren! I am glad you enjoyed Cassandra's concert (we knew you would!) and that you were able to go. When she attends college, will she be living on campus, or is it local and she'll live at home? How's little Maddie doing? Pray you stay safe in the storms today.
Lulu, hope you'll have a nice day at work. You too, Kel!
Well, my sister's family IS coming through town tomorrow on their way to their vacation, and they will spend the night here with us. With a family of 10, it takes two motel rooms to sleep everyone, so even one night in a home, helps. As always though, my house is a major mess, at least the upstairs part. Downstairs isn't too bad. Usually if company is coming we can box up the junk and shove it into another room and shut the door, but with this many people - there will be no room that won't be in use. So, any minute now my coffee will kick in and I'll have to spring into action! Before I go though I did want to update on Timothy (hope you don't mind me talking about him so much lately). He began his job at Starbucks yesterday (well, in the new location now that he's living in California). It's a couple of miles from the house he's staying in, and he has no transportation other than his legs, so will you all please help me pray for his safety? He is not in a safe area. It's not so bad for him during the day, but if/when he has to work night shifts, walking home could be a danger.
I'll close with this. Yesterday, sorting through through clothes, I came across this sweater that Tim bought last winter from the thrift store. Ugliest sweater you've ever seen, and besides that, it must be about 25 years old. He wore it everywhere. So I snapped a picture of it and texted it to him, and the following ensued:
Me: Please may I get rid of this albatross?
Tim: Absolutely not. That's my favorite sweater.
Me: It's a monstrosity. (No offense.)
Tim: Please don't call my favorite sweater a "monstrosity." Not only is that massively insulting and socially insensitive, it betrays a lack of compassion.
Me: LOL, I love you
Tim: Thank you, I love me too! I'm just kidding. I love you big mama! Guess what? The district manager says she thinks my hair is "really cool" and she is jealous of it.
[He's been growing his hair out and it's not exactly long, but it's gotten fluffy.]
Me: Congratulations
Tim: Working my way up the ladder of success, one golden lock at a time ;)
Maybe you have to know Tim to get all the humor, but I thought it was amusing; he loves throwing around big words!
Well, guess I'd better get busy now. Talk to you all later.
