Good morning, I did try to listen to the president talk, but I got dropped and now I am listening to Bible study teacher talking. My Bible study teacher told us about a dream he had years ago about this Helsinki location and the president talk. We are sitting on pins and needles, opposition, the beaking of the norm, our country may isolate itself.

I just got caught up...........sort of. I've been off line for quite a while, because my internet provider is having issues. But, Lorrie, even though I'm late, I still prayed for you and John. I pray that the pain and anguish he goes through, during his flare-ups subsides along with the disease, because ONLY the Lord can make that happen. And I hope and pray that the Lord makes a way for him to retire soon.
I love you all and pray for all of you often. I just don't (or can't) get on line as often as I used to.

I could be wrong, but I've noticed that the people who do updates, suddenly cannot use the Windows 7 version. (I'm not talking about upgrades, but updates) If you refrain from making any "suggested updates" on Windows 7, you might be able to use that version indefinitely.

I'm so sorry I've been absent lately. I just felt horrible. I think I'm having another flare up but it's weird cause I don't usually have them in the summer. But I seem to recall the same thing happened last year too. So I don't know...
I didn't quote everyone as it would have just been way too long, but I did read everyone's posts.
Lorrie, I regularly pray for your husband, and am still asking the Lord to get him a job that won't require the traveling too. I'll continue to pray for him about his issues until you tell me that they're no longer a problem. I'd love to hear that he's in "remission"! (mainly because doctors tend to refuse to believe anyone could actually be healed lol, so that's what they'd most likely call it)
I'll try to do better and get here anyway, but can't promise. All I want to do is rest, or better yet, sleep. I also had to go with Bruce to his physical therapy. He's already healed quite a bit. It's weird...that area just refused to heal up, but once we went to the doctor about it, it's like it got scared and started healing right away LOL. (more likely all the prayers though!) Anyway, it's much better now. Even the therapist said she didn't think he'd need much therapy as he was healing so quickly. He's almost back to normal now. It's great to see him feeling so much better too. All that being said, that's with him working at light duty and not a full day...7 hours at the most and the days he has an appointment, it's less. I have a feeling though that that's going to change by next month. We'll see.... but I'd be surprised if he doesn't start working a full day by then, and probably doing more too. Speaking of that, I'd better go check his meds and see what needs ordering....
Love you guys!

I am glad to read that Bruce is feeling better. I am disappointed in myself, first one thing today and then another. The other things is a brother in the Lord named Ricky is in the process of dying right now, would you say a prayer for him. I had felt some anger that he seemed to ignore me, I did not know he was dying, so I feel disappointed with my myself for my weakness.

I know what you mean about feeling disappointed with yourself. That happens to me alot. I'm always glad to find those things out though as it reminds me that we never really know what another person may be going through. But by the next day, that thought seems to fly right out of my heard again. Maybe one day, I'll learn the lesson. I hope so! Just know that you're not alone by any means. I'm sure that many of us go through this. was busy all day yesterday, the Eeyore mood has sorta gone away...but it's still lingering. this is a Jazzy weekend, so that will put me out more! Are they living near by Lulu, so you can see them now and then? I sure hope so. I'm sorry I can't remember if you already told us that. Having Jazzy over will surely be fun for you! I know how I love seeing my grandkids! Another granddaughter, Alissa is having her 14th birthday tomorrow, so that's where we'll be. must be a busy week for every one...
quiet morning...........
Looks like it. I'm glad I could make it in here today at least. Bruce almost didn't make it to work today as he didn't sleep well, but he went anyway. I hope he's able to make it all day..... We'll see.... His therapy yesterday went well though.

Hello everyone. Just a quick note to let y'all know that I'm thinking about all of you and praying for your needs. I wish I could somehow take all your cares away, but that job is already covered by our Lord, so praying is the answer for all of us. And thank you all for keeping my family in prayer. Not much good news coming out of that, at present, but it's all up to God.

Cheryl, praying to Lord will comfort your family members and the Lord's will. I had to rebuke evil spirits 3 times in my sleep last night. Words of encouragement were shared this morning from chat, expressions of love for the Lord and the writing out of Psalms 103. If I am going to make mistakes I would rather make them in private and not in public. It is uncomfortable for me that others saw my mistakes, but now I must forget all of that and move on to where I should be.

I have ant bites on my legs and feet. eeewww 100* heat. FedEx will be bringing us a new window AC tomorrow, looking forward to that. Cindy will you leave a comment for me about the scripture, what we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, I do not understand what that means.

It's good to hear from you Cheryl! Thank you for your prayers. I'm keeping you and your family in prayer as well. Hang in there hon!Cheryl, praying to Lord will comfort your family members and the Lord's will. I love psalm 103 and love to pray it back to the Lord! I agree about making mistakes and sinning in public. For me the hard part is having to go and ask forgiveness from those who heard or saw it. But then I think of how by doing that, I may be showing them what being a Christian really looks like and a little bit about His love for us. That makes it a little easier. Morning all...we've got breakfast at church this AM, then tonite we got the fair with the Gideon's handing out bibles! Matt and Jess have plans with our Jazzy, I think they are headed for the beach. Good day for it here! already 81 degrees out there!
Sounds like the start of a good weekend for you all! I hope you enjoy it! We went to Alissa's birthday party. My daughter rented a bounce house for the party and all the kids loved it! It was HUGE! LOL Time for me to mow the tumbleweeds, all that is green is tumbleweeds and the gas tank on the push mower is leaking gas out it and needs to be replaced, so I need to get all the gas out of that tank. I have ant bites on my legs and feet. eeewww 100* heat. FedEx will be bringing us a new window AC tomorrow, looking forward to that. Cindy will you leave a comment for me about the scripture, what we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, I do not understand what that means. I can't imagine mowing tumble weeds lol Sure, there are two main ones. I'll only post the scriptures themselves, but it's always best to read them in context. First: “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”” (Matthew 16:19)
the keys of the kingdom of heaven. These represent authority, and here Christ gives Peter (and by extension all other believers) authority to declare what was bound or loosed in heaven. This echoed the promise of John 20:23, where Christ gave the disciples authority to forgive or retain the sins of people. All this must be understood in the context of Matthew 18:15–17, where Christ laid out specific instructions for dealing with sin in the church (The prescription for church discipline in Matthew 18:15–17 must be read in light of the parable of the lost sheep in Matthew 18:12–14. The goal of this process is restoration. If successful, “you have won your brother.” Step 1 is to “show him his fault” privately.). The sum of it all means that any duly constituted body of believers, acting in accord with God’s Word, has the authority to declare if someone is forgiven or unforgiven. The church’s authority is not to determine these things, but to declare the judgment of heaven based on the principles of the Word. When they make such judgments on the basis of God’s Word, they can be sure heaven is in accord. In other words, whatever they “bind” or “loose” on earth is already “bound” or “loosed” in heaven. When the church says the unrepentant person is bound in sin, the church is saying what God says about that person. When the church acknowledges that a repentant person has been loosed from that sin, God agrees. The MacArthur study Bible This passage does not express man’s initiation, but man’s following God’s lead. The First Christian Primer This privilege of binding and loosing was seen in Peter’s life as he had the privilege on the day of Pentecost to proclaim the gospel and announce to all those who responded in saving faith that their sins had been forgiven (Acts 2). He was able to do the same thing with the household of Cornelius (Acts 10–11; cf. Acts 15:19–20). The same privilege was given all the disciples (John 20:22–23). The Bible Knowledge Commentary
Within the Roman Catholic tradition this passage has been used to support the infallibility of the pope as Peter’s successor. Peter and other NT writers don’t sustain this view. Peter was one among a number who were leaders in the first generation of the church (Acts 15:13–21; Gal 2:9, Gal 2:14; 1 Cor 3:11; 1 Peter 2:7). The context demands that the binding and loosing had especially to do with opening or closing access to the kingdom, most likely through the preaching of the gospel, that is, confessing Christ. Peter was uniquely used by God to build Christ’s church (e.g., Acts 2:14–42; Acts 3:1–26; Acts 10:27–48). Matthew 18:18 indicates that the church as an assembly has similar authority. The Apologetics Study Bible
And: ““I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18)
Keep the local church spiritual (Matthew 18:18–20). It is important that the local assembly be at its best spiritually before it seeks to discipline a member. When a church disciplines a member, it is actually examining itself & disciplining itself. This is why our Lord added these words about authority, prayer, & fellowship. We cannot discipline others if we ourselves are not disciplined. Whatever we loose (permit) in the assembly must first have been permitted by God. The church must be under the authority of God’s Word. Church discipline does not refer to a group of Christian policemen throwing their weight around. It means God exercising His authority in and through a local body, to restore one of His erring children. The Bible exposition commentary
Jesus delegated authority to the church and its leadership to open access to the kingdom (16:19) and so to forgive or retain sins (in the context of the gospel, Jn 20:23), to discipline members (as here), and to render doctrinal decisions (binding and loosing can mean “forbidding and permitting”). This authority is seen exercised in Acts 5:1–11; Acts 13:38, Acts 13:46; Acts 15:23–29; 1 Cor 5:3–5. The fact that a similar promise is given to the Twelve that was previously given just to Peter casts further doubt that any unique authority was being given to Peter that is not available to all disciples. The Apologetics Study Bible
Matthew 18:18–20 These verses supply a theological foundation for the process of discipline outlined in 18:15–17. The consequences of the community’s decision are ominous, since the community on earth acts in conjunction with the God of heaven. Here the authority is clearly the community’s, not just Peter’s or the apostles’. Cornerstone biblical commentary
I hope these commentaries make it clear to you. I thought that would be better than just having me answer it myself. It's all part of God's plan for reconciliation. It's yet another reason He tells us to forgive others the way He forgives us. He means for us to be in relationship (a good relationship) with others, in particularly others in the Church. He knows there will be hurt feelings, and so commands us to forgive His way, so we can be united in love for each other because of our love for Him. Remember, He tells us that unbelievers will know us because of our love. Since He knew we'd have problems with this, He gave us His way of correcting the problems between believers so they can be reconciled with each other. This is another way that unbelievers can see how God's love works in the real world. Sadly, there's very little of this seen in today's Churches. Thankfully though it can be seen still in some individuals who do their best to obey the Lord's Word, and even in a few Churches that are still holding onto the Truth. It also lets us see again how important it is for us to be part of a local body of believers. Especially in the US, we tend to be way to independent and think we can do our Christianity on our own, but God wants us to be part of a body of Christians, and He works through that body to give us help, encouragement, guidance, etc. We really are like sheep and we can't do it alone. We need the Shepherd for sure, but we also need the other sheep to be safe and secure and have all we need. not sure about Mondays....we had a good weekend, so I guess Monday is ok....but i really don't want to go to work! alas, I will. I think I'm almost done with what work I did have, and Karl the source inspector from Boeing will probably be around this week sometime...oh happy day....NOT.... .......

Another hot one huh? Glad you got to enjoy yesterday and I hope today goes well for you too. Now you've got me wondering where that expression about when the other shoe will drop came from.....there's got to be a story behind that one!
Jenn and the kids came over yesterday afternoon just before Bruce got home from work. They stayed and had dinner with us and we all enjoyed visiting with each other. The kids are getting interested in their ancestry, so I was showing them some of it, including a recent one I discovered. She was a woman who went west on a wagon train which was neat. What really surprised me though (and the kids too) was that she was the 7th great granddaughter of Pocahontas! Gracie's absolutely thrilled now because Jenn told her that Pocahontas was an Indian princess! So she was on cloud 9 with that little fact and said she couldn't wait to tell all her friends.
