Thank you all so much! I've been checking the mail about once a week, and did finally get your sweet letter Cheryl! Thank you! You'll be getting one soon as well! I'm glad you got the roofing work finished Marlene, that's great!
Bruce was supposed to have that chemical stress test this morning but decided he didn't want to do it after all. (So guess who had to call them and tell them? yep, me!) He decided that he'd rather wait and do the regular stress test once his body had finished healing, which shouldn't be too much longer. The one lady I spoke to first was really obnoxious about the whole thing and very pushy, so I finally just told her that he wasn't doing it; I wasn't going to explain any more; and no, she couldn't speak to Bruce! grrrr. Later, the technician called, Steve, who's a friend of ours, and I told him all the why's and wherefores etc. He was very nice and polite as he always is, and even told me I didn't need to call the doctor as he'd let him know about it. So I asked him to find out if the doctor wanted to see him on the 28th anyway, or if he wanted to wait till after the test, which he said he would do and would let me know. So that's done. Now I just have to work on the bills today.
I'd better run do the bible study so I can get the bills taken care of next.

I have noticed that in my dealings with people also when they ask me a question I tell someone something I have to repeat myself at least two times or more and then they don't listen and start acting odd, that is stressful for me to deal with. I had a situation like that last month and felt stressed and the next night I had a nose bleed, which I never get, I wonder if that was from stress from dealing with that woman. I bought vitamin K which is what people or animals are supposed to take if they get nosebleeds. Also, I heard if a person takes magnesium and potassium like I do to prevent muscle cramps that they should also take Vitamin K and D in the right amount with along with the magnesium and potassium.

quiet this AM, save the birdies chirping. I've noticed how darn sensitive people are. Close people, like daughters, sons, our Netty has been overly sensitive and last nite I called her out on it...she did call her dad back and said she was sorry for over reacting. but man....the drama is overwhelming! I want to run away!

Wow both you Lulu and Anna dealing with overly sensitive, or strange people.....I know from being self-centered myself, that led to my being 'sensitive' ( not in a good way as being sensitive as compassionate to others) but I wonder if its getting worse with people..... as the end times get closer and closer?

I'm sorry you got so stressed out from that Marlene. I don't know for sure if stress can cause nose bleeds or not. From what I've read, there are a few who say that they can be caused by stress, but there aren't any scientific studies to substantiate it. Stress can cause many other symptoms though and can make any pain a person already has, worse. quiet this AM, save the birdies chirping. I've noticed how darn sensitive people are. That's so sad. Jenn gets like that at times when she's about to start her period, but now that she's an adult she realizes it and can better control herself, which helps. It takes practice though, that's for sure. I hope things get better soon for Netty, I'm still praying for her. That certainly sounds reasonable Barbara. Paul says that their love will grow cold toward others, but their love for themselves will grow stronger, so they'll be more self centered and he says they won't have much self control either. (2 Timothy 3) I can see where that would lead to being more sensitive like that.

That sounds like it will be fun! You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back!Hello everyone.
Just need to vent a bit. Need to get it off my mind. Long story short. The boss let me order a security mirror, for our front lobby, so I can see all corners of the lobby. I was so excited today, because I brought in all my necessary tools and my step stool, so I could install the mirror. Only to arrive at work and find that the cleaning people had apparently knocked it off the desk, and put a big crack in it. Now I have to go through all the red tape to get the mirror paid for by the cleaning people, so I can order a new one. I'm looking at several more weeks down the road. RUINED my whole day. lol
Ok, I'm done. Thanks for listening. I'm sorry your mirror got broken Cheryl. I hope it won't take too long before you get another one. well things went well yesterday with the source inspector Karl. he was still there when I left at 3:30, so we shell see whats left...He should be coming in again today.

That poor family! My heart breaks for families who have sick children. I'll add her to my list right now!

I'm glad you had a good day Lulu and always pray that you will. My back's been acting up so that it's hard to stand or walk at all lately which has slowed me down a lot. Something kind of funny happened last night though. We wanted to attend our granddaughter, Alissa's, 8th grade graduation. Elijah was going to be singing in one part of it and playing in the band for another part, and Alissa would have been singing in it too. So we were getting ready to go when I walked into the bedroom to put Bruce's socks away and saw he'd laid out his good jeans on the bed to wear. I felt so badly then because I know there's no way he can wear regular pants yet. His right side is just way too painful and swollen for that still, and it hadn't even occurred to me that he'd try it. So I told him there was no way we were going to go, and that I didn't want him to even try to put those pants on. I called Alissa and explained it to her and then called and told Jenn as I didn't want Elijah to feel badly either. Well the way I phrased it, made it sound weird I guess. I just said that Dad couldn't wear pants yet so we wouldn't be able to go. Jenn was quiet a few seconds and then said, what do you mean he can't wear pants? (She'd seen him in his sweat pants or PJ bottoms frequently) and I guess the way I said it made it sound like he was now having to go naked LOL So I assured her that wasn't the case and explained what I meant. The more I think about it, I'm thinking I might better explain it to Alissa too!
we made it! enjoying this quiet Friday morning....looking forward to a nice ride tomorrow and seeing my grand nieces....
I know you're going to really enjoy your weekend Lulu! God bless you!

OH Cindy, Bruce could have gone to the graduation in sweat pants! That's all Ed was able to wear for the last 10 or 12 years of his life, because of all the heart caths he'd had. Jeans hurt him to wear them. If he didn't go out in public in sweats or baggy shorts, he would never have left the house again! That would have been awful for him.
Lulu, I feel so sad for that baby girl. My prayers are on their way up!!
I'm happy to see things are going better for you at the job.

Nice photo Lulu and it is always nice to see a princess. Glad you had a fun time with family and looking forward to reading about how the upcoming weekend goes and hopefully see some photos. I bought a pattern for making jumper dresses, now I need to find a place to buy material. There is no store I can walk into and look at the material, so I am looking for a place online to buy material from. I was walking outdoors right after sunset just wearing cheap shoes and my nightgown, which looks like a dress and wanting to hurry back to the house because it was getting dark and I could not see the ground so well, then I saw a large tarantula and not all black in color, brown color also, a pretty spider, if I dare may say. That spider stopped on the path, I wondered to my self if those spiders often jump on something, like me if I got any closer, so I g**gled the question and it said that it was just a myth that those spiders can jump 3 or 4 feet, well I don't think it is a myth, I think that spider was waiting for me and I was even stopped by stepping on a thorn that went into my foot and then when I pulled the thorn out of my foot the thorn went into my thumb. I waited for the tarantula to walk away off of the path and then made my way back to my house.

Well, I'm just now seeing the news about Matt and Jess getting married on June 30th -- that's this week! Congratulations to them and to LULU and RON also, renewing your vows for your 35th anniversary! What a tremendous blessing. And how romantic to have a sunset wedding on the ocean. Will look forward to seeing the pictures.
I've only read to the end of page 13 for chat, so don't know the news past that.
For me, those of you on FB know that my Daniel is in Alaska on his CRU mission trip right now. He's been there a week already and, Lord willing, will return home on the 4th of July. Please pray this week as the "CRU crew" serves the campers at the Tanalian Bible Camp. He got to call home on Saturday afternoon and is having an amazing time, AND so far has stayed healthy, so please pray for continued health. One of their leaders got the flu early on and hasn't felt the best. Praying the rest of them stay safe & well.

Yes, he could have, but to him it was something special and he felt people should dress for it and didn't want to embarrass his grandchildren by showing up that way. It's understandable that Ed had no choice, and while Bruce didn't either at the time, he knew that he would be able to dress right shortly, so felt it was wrong to go the way he was. I would have rather gone with him in the sweatpants, but since that would embarrass him, I wasn't going to suggest it. pray all is well with you all...

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday. I had to fill out paperwork to get help with our real estate taxes and it took me forever. But it's done now and mailed away, so we'll see what happens next.

Nice photos Lulu, glad to be able to see Johnny! It looks like Matt is glad to have a brother.
I would love to go on a vacation to Alaska, it would be number 1 on my places to visit. Last week I was looking at videos of Alaska and daydreaming about vacationing there.

wow, its Thursday already.....Karl's been at work for the last two days, and he'll be there today...so far so good. He's buying off all the boards and paper work! I did miss incorrect serial numbers on some paper work, they were right for the sub assembly, but not the top, the conformal coating house put the sub assembly serial numbers on their paper work, and it didn't click they were wrong when I proof read them, cause they were a correct number! ugh....Karl laughed...

Just thinking this to myself, remembering what I did this past week. I made 3 zucchini (quiche') pies. Two of which I took to work, to share. The 3rd one went into the trash. Why, you ask?
Well, ok, since you asked. ......
I got the zucchini's from a friend, at work. They were huge, but 2 of them would do, and make quite a bit of the pie, but I did grab a couple of yellow squash, just in case. (It takes 4 cups of zucchini for each pie.) ANYway, for the first pie, I cut up the first green, strangely shaped zucchini. It was shaped like a "C". I saute'd it in the skillet, added all the spices, onion and parsley. I didn't remember my pies EVER being so watery, but proceeded anyway. But, realized that I had not bought quite enough fresh parsley and had to stop and run to the store, and get some more. When I got back in, I could smell what I had saute'd so far. It smelled good, but had a peculiar smell. I thought....hmmm. Proceeded anyway. Mixed in the cheese and egg and popped it all in the oven, and when it came out 20 minutes later, it appeared way too watery. So, I made the other two pies, and they turned out perfect. After the first pie cooled, I had to test it, because I was not about to take a bad dish to work with me.... It was SO watery that I had to scoop it out with a serving spoon! NOT a good sign. I sat down to eat it and realized that it tasted like dill pickles!! And I don't know if y'all remember this or not, but I HATE dill pickles! I tried to stomach a little more of it, as I was quite hungry at this point, but couldn't take it any longer and went to check the ends that I'd cut off that vegetable and SURE 'NUFF, as you all have probably guessed by now, I'd saute'd and baked an entire 4 cups of CUCUMBER!
Future note...........don't EVER cook a perfectly good, garden fresh cucumber!!!
I don't know what made me more upset. The fact that I wasted expensive ingredients? Or the fact that I wasted a yummy cucumber?
