the party was wicked fun, posted a video and pic's on facebook. wish I could here, but I have to figure out how to down size my pictures from my phone and IPad! I think there's a way to do it, but haven't taken the time to figure it out yet....Netty and Justin over slept, they both work nites, so their hours are backwards from the rest of us...but they did get there to give Jazzy her presents, then stopped over here. So Ya, it was a nice day and fun...
then today at church we had breakfast and a soft ball game with the Regional Special Olympics Soft ball team who are on their way to the world championships! they won, 7 to 5! so it was a good game! that was BEFORE church! post a video and pics on facebook of that also! so it's been a great weekend!
Cindy, yes Matt and Jess are getting Married on Ron's and mine Anniversary! June 30th, So we are redoing our vows on the same day! 35 years! the kids picked out a place on the ocean for a sunset wedding, Family only...and the reception will be at Church for Desserts! Jess and I just got done talking with a young lady from church that does catering for weddings, she does cakes and desserts! that will be for friends and family after the vows ceremony. So just small and simple.... I've know Elaina for years, I'm wicked happy she's catering for us! she just started up this business so it will get the word out and people will see how well she does!
I'm so glad Jazzy's day went well and that everyone had a good time. Wow, sounds like Sunday was a very full day! I can't imagine all of that happening before Church LOL The wedding plans sound beautiful! It's so like you to use your day to help someone else too. You guys are such a wonderful light in this dark world!wicked nice weekend we had! and it's a quiet Monday morning...birds a chirping. No to sure about being ready for another week at work. But it is a short week, I have Friday off...with out pay....but a long weekend!
That's nice that you have Friday off, and that will give you a nice long weekend too! She sure has grown into a beautiful young lady. What a blessing!Lulu, she is pretty. I like that dress. I hope you can post one or more wedding pictures. June 30th will be an exciting day! It has been warm weather here around 100* with no rain. Yikes, and here I was complaining about it being in the high 80's here! We've been getting a lot of rain though and that cooled it off a lot. Once the rain started the temps dropped down into the 50's for the high. I like that LOL. This is Matt’s family! Jess,Matt,Ashlynn and Jazzy! Awww, he sure has a good looking family, and I mean "good" on the inside as well as the outside!

here's the kids in a nicer shot...not a silly one... I'm so glad you did! I like that picture a lot!well, yesterday was one busy day...today should be close, I've got quite a few boards to inspect ...and I have Friday off...not by my choice, but a long weekend is ok for sure! it's been a not so quiet morning....planes going over head, kally, neighbors kitty wanting in...birds chirping...but the coffee is good and I had a peach for breakfast!
Cindy, thinking of you and Bruce! how's he doing? think of you all though out my day while looking in my microscope.
Thanks Lulu. He's slowly but surely healing. He saw the cardiologist yesterday - the same one he saw when he had the heart attack 5 years ago. After reading the notes from his hospital stay, he asked us why in the world they wanted him to see a cardiologist? LOL So we explained that when they got him to the hospital his heart was out of rhythm, and because he didn't remember the accident and they saw from his history that he'd had a heart attack before they decided that he must have had a "coronary incident" and that's what caused the accident. he just kept shaking his head no, the whole time. Then he asked if Bruce had experienced any dizzyness or blacked out at all in the last 5 years, or if he'd needed to take a nitro, and Bruce said he hadn't. They still haven't gotten the results from the zio patch and the doctor asked why they'd ordered it. We told him that it was because they wanted to see if he'd black out again and since he hadn't the week he was in the hospital, they ordered the patch so they'd have him covered 24/7 for two weeks. Basically they wanted to prove their theory. He told us he'd look at the results but didn't expect to find anything. He saw they'd put him on Metropolol which really made him angry. Thankfully though it was a small dose but even that has caused some horrible side effects for him. His lower legs and feet look like huge sausages, and it's made him extremely tired and very cold all the time. I didn't know that being cold was a side effect of it, but when I asked what could be causing it, he told me that it was the pill. Normally Bruce runs around in a tshirt in 30 degree weather, but lately, when it's been 85, he's covered up with two blankets! There's been other side effects too, but thankfully now they'll go away since he doesn't have to take it anymore.
He's still pretty sore and weak as well, but I expect some of the weakness to get better as that too is a side effect of that pill. Next week he goes back to Mass to see the spine surgeon and find out if he can take off the neck brace. I sure hope so as it really makes him miserable. Hopefully we'll also get some idea of how long his recovery will take, and how long it will be before he can go back to work on light duty. I realize it won't be soon, but it would be nice to have some idea of when it might be.
Today's my doctor appointment, so more running around for me. lol

Last Friday night my 2 grandchildren had their high school commencement ceremony. It was great to see them. They were so excited.
Really hot here today. Texas summer is definitely here.

Wow, 12 years old! Time just keeps flying on by! She is looking so pretty and all grown up. And I love her dress (your pics won't quote, though). Purple is my favorite color and it sure sets off her beautiful thick blonde hair!
Congrats to Matt on his upcoming nuptials!

Anna, I sure wish I could bottle up our rain and send it over to you. We've had so much rain, that my plants haven't needed watering, but maybe twice this week. And just the ones that drain well. It's also been hot here too. We got a cool spell, this morning but by afternoon, the sun took care of that. lol But, not 100 yet, thank the good Lord.Jun 6, 2018 10:28:50 GMT -5 Cindy said:

Today's my doctor appointment, so more running around for me. lol Having chills with Metoprolol is one of the rare side effects. I'm getting a lot of the normal side effects, like sweating, blurred vision, dry cough. There's other side effects that match me, but I don't know if it's the med or not, because I've always had it. (tingling of the hands and feet, swelling and bloating and weight gain, to name a few) But, at least he's not making me take the lisinopril too. But, my blood pressure has been spiking lately. I need to call him, but I don't want to go in, and I know he will make me come in. I am just keeping a close eye on it. ........OK.....back to Bruce, lol. Every time I read your description of what happened to him, and that he can't remember, and about his heart, it actually sounds like he may have had a T.I.A. And all the symptoms will disappear within 20 minutes and no memory of it, from the patient. And all signs of it happening usually go away, and the doc can't detect it ever occurred, except in some instances where there is lasting damage. I can see why they were and still are concerned about it, because a T.I.A. is a precursor (warning) of a full on heart attack. ..........lol, sorry.........I learned a LOT about heart disease from Ed's care, and now from my own.

That quote is actually somewhat Biblical. I like it too. But, I have searched and searched for it and can't find the passage. I even copied what I'm looking for and put it in a congrats card for a colleague who was leaving for a better job. And now I can't find it.
Congrats to your grandchildren on their graduation!!

Wow, two at the same time, that's pretty neat! That's a great quote too. I think too that often the blessings come disguised so we have to pay attention in order to see them for what they really are. But that's the whole point Cheryl, they're NOT concerned about it. They put him on that stupid medication even though I told them that his cardiologist, who is one of the best in New England, had taken him off of it years ago, and that he had side effects from it. Those doctors at the hospital were only interested in proving their point, not in what really happened, because from the very first time they saw Bruce in the ER, I relayed through my daughter that we already knew that he had not passed out until he hit the boulders. They didn't want to believe me though, because if they did, it would mean that they couldn't give him any of their meds and their services (the cardiologists) weren't needed. They wanted the money. And sure enough, when His cardiologist saw him, he was angry that they hadn't listened and had ordered so many unnecessary tests and given him unnecessary medications that only hurt him and didn't help him at all. And no, he didn't have a TIA and he had no symptoms of a TIA either.

Attachment Deleted Kicking back in bed still...Mace is cuddling which makes it wicked hard to get up....durning the week he does this and looks so sad when I get up anyways....Ron got me blueberry coffee from 7 eleven and a blueberry muffin! Cindy, doctors make me angry.....which is probably why I haven’t seen one in 13 years! Other then my chiropractor Doctors Naz! She keeps me healthy! I do need a well check up before the move though, working on that....but my insurance really sucks through work....so it’s not going to well finding a doctor so far....it’s just not right when they try to force you on meds ....knowing the side affects are bad!
Ron figures September we’ll put the house on the market, we are trying to work with the kids , cause us moving is making it very necessary for them to find a place they can afford here in California, because of Jazzy they need to stat here for the time being,Matt’s gonna have to fight in court to take Jazzy out of state! Or for custody. Jess is a very good partner for Matt, wicked good at money managing, she completes him. He’s been very happy since they worked through a lot of both their insecurity together.... and believe me there’s still work to be done....theres a song “ if we’re honest” it makes me think of them ! I sent the lyrics to Jess last year she liked it....it’s about our Lord, but can be about lovers also. “Bring your brokenness, and I'll bring mine 'Cause love can heal what hurt divides And mercy's waiting on the other side If we're honest…”

That's sweet how you get to cuddle with Ashlynn and Mace. It makes me think of how our cat Rascal cuddles with me every night. He scoots up till he's right under my arm pit and lays down so his head is on my chest lol. That's where he stays, purring like crazy till I fall asleep each night. Then when he thinks I'm waking up, (or when he wants me to get up lol) he comes in and does the same thing, only adding a loud meow to the whole thing right at first lol.
That's so great about Matt and Jess. What a blessing for them both you are. Honesty is so very important in a marriage, or any relationship really. They're truly blessed though because they're both saved and have the Lord's love in their hearts so they can love God's way instead of the worlds way.
I totally agree about doctors Lulu. I wouldn't go see them either if I could avoid it at all, but with the federal laws about narcotics, now we're supposed to go every month. Actually it's been that way for years, but my doctor thankfully thinks that's a bunch of bologna, so he only makes me go in every 3 months. Oh we got the results on Bruce's Zio patch on Friday! It was totally normal!!!!!!!! I'd love to see that cardiologist face in Mass when he gets the report. He ordered it because Bruce hadn't blacked out or had any spells the whole week he was in the hospital and hooked up to their machines, so he was sure he's pick it up on this thing. His cardiologist here is good though and did say he wanted to do a non physical stress test on Bruce if his insurance will pay for it, just to be sure there's nothing hiding from us. But I just realized that his insurance ends this week so there's no way they'll pay for it. Don't know what will happen from there. I did ask for insurance for him from medicaid/medicare and they're working on that, so maybe they'll pay for it. Wednesday we go to the spine doctor and we're really hoping Bruce will be able to take that neck collar off. Please pray that he will be healed enough to do that, because it's driving him nuts. I think he'll actually heal a lot faster without it. (the rest of his body I mean). Thanks guys, you're the best!

well, it's been a wicked nice LONG weekend! not really looking forward to going in for work...don't remember if I've got something waiting for me or not....I believe I do, and it will be getting boards and paper work ready for the source inspector...Karl...oh joy....the last time he was in he was joking around...now, he is a good looking man 52 years old, single, never been married, he was joking how good looking he was but nobody seemed to believe him, and he asked me why....without blinking, I responded, with a smile, that I would get fired if I told him the truth.... he cracked up laughing....and agreed .....

I am all the time thinking just how fast time seems to be going by. My computer is crawling slow, I will have to have Ron do all the clear up for it. It has been hot, suffering from the heat and also we are doing roofing work that needs to get done before we start to get monsoon rains. Last year we did not get much rain, but all rain flows on top of the ground and does not sink into the ground, so soon my driveway will get washed out and I will have to fill sandbags for that. I am going to the store soon, glad it is only to the nearby town 20 miles away. I woke up with flea or knat bites on my foot this morning. I am on a roll with the complaining aren't I. lol. I will blame it on the heat.

Looking forward to hear what you have to tell us Lulu!
I agree, time sure has been flying by. It seems like the older I get the faster it goes!
Good news! the best! We saw the spine doctor yesterday. They took new xrays first of course. I couldn't wait to see them so I could ask the doc about them. I have a copy of all his other xrays and had a very hard time finding the fractures anywhere in his body! I wasn't positive that I had found them, except for the one in his arm. (and that's cause the doc had drawn an arrow pointing to it lol) So when the doc came in, he found me looking at the xrays and told me he'd "try and show me where they were". He had a hard time finding them too LOL which made me feel a lot better! He told us that all the fractures were very minor and the ones in his lower back were not only minor but were in the best place possible to have them as they'd heal perfectly without any intervention at all.
Anyway, he took the neck brace off Bruce which of course thrilled us! He asked Bruce what he'd do with it now...if we'd use it for a planter or what... Bruce told him he'd probably use it as a target for the kids to shoot at! The doc laughed and said that was the best one he'd ever heard and asked us to send him pictures! The doc even admitted that the brace hadn't really been necessary, but he'd had him wear it just to be on the safe side. (I bet he wouldn't have if he'd had to wear the thing!)
So I asked him what the prognosis was for Bruce and he said that Bruce could do anything at all that he felt up to doing, including going back to work! Bruce told him that he has to lift and carry over 100 pounds at times at work and didn't feel up to that yet, but that he'd need a dr note so he could go back to at least light duty to start with. The doc agreed and they set the date for him to return to work at light duty for July 1st!!!!
And then he can just go from that to medium duty and then regular as he feels he's capable of it. So we got the note for his work and Bruce left there finally feeling like a new man.
Strangely the two areas on his body that give him the most pain are 1st, his right hip, which is where he landed on the boulders and that whole side was horribly bruised. That gives him the most pain still and is still swollen although the swelling has gone down tremendously. 2nd is his shoulders. He thinks it's because of the neck brace which makes sense, but it's hard to explain. But he's sure his shoulders will start feeling much better now that the brace is off.
Yet more miracles that we can testify too that show God's love and care for us and how He answers the prayers of His children! Thank you all so much!!!! I honestly can't thank you enough for all your prayers! Please do continue to pray that he'll be able to regain his muscle strength so he'll be able to do his job. Thanks guys, you're the best!

Cindy, Glad to read the good news! Thank God for his blessings. Lulu, have a fun and blessed weekend. We feel good about having finished the roofing work. A woman named Susan prayed we would finish that work and it was cloudy, so cooler and we were then able to get the work done.

Praise the Lord....what great news Cindy!!! God is good all the time, all the time, God is good.
I feel so happy for Bruce getting that neck brace off! Yeah!!!!!!!!! You will have to show us photos of it as target practice LOL.
Of course, I am also super happy for you too! Your nursing duties are going to slow down from now on, and you can heal ( well you know what I mean) your body, at least, have less stress.
Is Bruce going to be riding a motorcycle any time soon tho?
What a blessing tho that the factures are minor and can heal all by themselves! Thank you Lord!

Everyone. I did have a nice birthday. Thank you, everyone, for the greetings. And Margie, thank you for the thoughtful card. You never forget about me. That makes me feel pretty good. That someone out there, thinks of me sometimes. Even if it might be from a list of people that you send cards and letters to, that's ok. Whatever it is, thank you.
Cindy, the news of Bruce's healing is wonderful to hear. Go check your mailbox, Girl! I know it's hard for you to get to it, though, so go when you can.
Lulu, I love to read about your work days. I love the interesting work that you do. I would not be able to do your job. Well, I don't have the know-how for it, but I wouldn't be able to see well enough to do the intricate work you do. My eyes are getting bad on me. I'm front of a computer, now, all day long and get headaches from it. I have two screens at work, and they are much smaller than mine at home, and the print is so tiny, and I find myself squinting at it. That's what's giving me the headaches. I did try to enlarge the font on some things, like my email, but, then when I tried to make the screen font larger by scrolling up on it, it didn't like that too much and caused everything else to be really large. OK........lol......won't do that again. But, I DO love my job. The Lord has put me in a good place.
Anna, I hope you and hubby can find some relief from the heat and the monsoons.
