Hi everyone! I'm late today. Not any particular reason other then that I just got caught up in my study of the chapter of Jeremiah I'm on lol. Oh well, I guess it could be worse...I could get caught up in things that aren't good for me.
Margie, as much as I'd have loved to see FH in the number one spot there, we can no longer vote for it because that site is gone now, so it's not to be. But that's ok, God knows FH is here and it's what He wants and that's all that really matters. I really do appreciate all the people who took the time to vote for us all those years though!
Chery, I'm sorry but I already deleted it, so I'm afraid I can't show it to you. I'm so glad that all worked out for Ed though. I would have been scared to death as well and probably done the same thing you did. I was surprised that you thought 10 minutes was a good response time though. I always thought our emergency response time was horrible because ours are all volunteers and have to leave from home, go to the ambulance bay and then go to the residence so it generally takes about 10-15 minutes for them to arrive. I was always told it was because they were volunteer and that if we had a paid one, then they'd arrive a lot faster. I'm just glad they got there in time!
Thanks Lulu! Oh yes, there's hope for Netty for sure! If God can help Michael, He can help anyone!!!!!
Kelly, we didn't watch the news last night so I was unaware of that too, thanks for letting us know!
Oh, I got a reply from John, for some reason he's having trouble registering here. Which reminds me that I need to get back to him about that!
We had a good time with the kids yesterday when Jenn and Bob came over with them. Plus we adults got to have a really nice talk too!
Well, guess I'd better go get back to John now, see you all later!

Did you hear look like my Anaheim Angels trade the drug addicted Josh Hamliton to Rangers My condolences Yes, the sports writers are really hashing that situation with Josh Hamilton. I think he'll hear a lot of booing. When we came home on Saturday I found a snapping turtle in my backyard. Since there's so much construction and heavy machinery in the field behind us, I knew it probably wouldn't survive. So I took it to a nearby park that has 2 ponds. I carried it there in a bucket because I know snapping turtles can bite hard. Hope it does OK. More rain today. It will help the lakes since they're all down.

Hi guys! Sorry I'm late, but I really wanted to get some threads posted here so I've been busy. I sure hope everyone gets the pm and replies to the thread so I can make this board the way everyone wants it.
That's nice of you to take the turtle to the park Margie! I meant to tell you all about the visitors to our yard lately. Last week, about 10pm I woke up thinking a dog was barking by my window. It was upsetting the cats and me so I got up to look. I couldn't see it though and finally went to bed when it shut up. The next morning I found out that it had woke Bruce up too and that he'd looked in the right direction lol, and saw it walk across our yard. It wasn't a dog, it was a Fisher Cat! Thank the Lord we don't allow our cats outside!
And this morning, my wish came true and the turkeys came back! Rascal hasn't seen them yet, but Chloe did and boy was she excited!
We just paid off all but $20 of Chloe's vet bill, so on Thursday Rascal goes in to be neutered. I'm so glad!!!! LOL His won't cost half as much so I should be able to pay it off a lot faster. My vet is so good to us!
Right now, I'm uploading all my photos onto picassa so I can get them off my computer. But it's going to take a very long time for them all to upload....oh well, at least once it's done, I won't have to worry about them anymore and picassa will automatically upload anymore I put on my computer and keep them all online for me, so that will be great!
See you all later!

Cindy, I had to look up fisher cat; didn't know what it was.
Very cool here today. Feels more like winter than spring.
Josh Hamilton was the main subject in today's sports section of the Ft. Worth newspaper. Almost entirely critical of both Hamilton and the Rangers for rehiring him.

Hello everyone!
Things have been a little busy lately, haven't posted much, but I am reading and keeping up on everyone. Cindy, that is just THE BEST news about Michael!!! What a wonderful praise - thank you Lord! Timothy called me this morning and asked if I've been praying for him (of course I have, and I know many of you have also). He said that, over the past couple of months, God has really been working in his life and changing his heart and desires, so that is another praise. Thanks to those of you who have prayed for him, and please continue!
Well, tomorrow I am going to go to a Senior Adult conference with a group of seniors from my parents' church. I've gone several times before, on the fall retreat, but they also have it in the spring, so it should be fun. The internet connection is not dependable there (the conference center is back in the woods), so if I don't post for a couple of days, you'll know why.
Love and hugs to you all! :)

Good Morning all! I got a picture of a fisher cat off the web so everyone could see what they look like. I was surprised to see that they're not actually a member of the cat family and that it's just old wives tales that say they eat cats cause the evidence points to them not doing so. That's nice to know!
That's wonderful news about Timothy Lorrie! I'm so thankful to hear how the Lord's been answering prayers! He's so very good to us! Hope you enjoy your time at the retreat!
Speaking of that, I saw a post on facebook last night from a woman who was praising Him for the surprise of getting over $3000 put into her account and no one knows where it came from! I got a huge kick out of that because it reminded me of when the Lord did that for us after Bruce's heart attack! Whenever I think of all the ways the Lord has answered my prayers, and the ways He's taken care of me when I didn't even know to ask Him, I have to wonder how in the world I could ever doubt Him even for a second!
Bruce couldn't take it anymore so he rode his motorcycle to work and said he'd come home for lunch since he hasn't put his saddle bags or anything else on the bike yet. That'll be a nice change of pace anyway.
Well guess I'd better get busy!

Hi everyone! Well, I did it again. Got so involved trying figure things out in Jeremiah, I didn't realize how late it was. Actually I was trying to get straight who was who's son and the relationships between all the major people at the court during Jeremiah's time. Talk about a mess! Good grief! I don't know how the Lord keeps everyone straight! Then again, I bet our generation is even more messed up...at least back then people didn't have two mothers or three fathers, or whatever!
Hi Kel! It's good to hear from you finally! I was beginning to think you'd gotten lost and we were going to have to call the cops to find you How are things going with David and that thing at work? Has everything settled down now?
Sounds like it's been pretty hot there in California for you Kelly. Glad it's not that hot here! Although I will be glad when it starts getting warmer at night. I'm a little tired of nights in the 30's.
Lulu, I'm so glad you'll get to see Jazzy soon. I hope she's not scared of seeing everyone because of what her mother made her do. I know you'll help her sort things out though. I'm so glad the Lord has blessed her with two sets of wonderful grandparents she can count on.
You know, as bad as things are, you're lucky in one way. At least you get to see her. I never did get to spend much time with Jessie and now she's grown up and seems like a very hurt and bitter young girl that feels like no one really loves her, and doesn't really trust anyone. I've tried to let her know that if I could have been there I would have been, but it just wasn't possible. And now I'm faced with the same thing with my son Michael's children. I rarely get to see Isabella and Jeremy. I talked to Michael about it when he came over the last time and told him that we were once again at a place of thinking about getting court ordered visitation rights, which we know we could. We didn't do that with Jessie because I didn't want to add yet another wedge between us and Jonathan. I kept hoping and praying that things would change. They did, very, very slowly, and still are, but not in time for us to get to know and be with Jessica at all. Now I'm afraid the same will happen with these two. After talking about it with Michael,it doesn't look like it would be a wise decision on our part to get the visitation rights. Oh, Michael was all for it...at first. Till I told him it wasn't about us, it was about the children and whether it would make their lives better. Then the more we thought about it,we all agreed that her other grandparents (who they now live with) would make their lives miserable for days every time they saw us. That wouldn't be good at all. So I'm still praying about it and will have to wait and see what the Lord says.
Ruthanne, I'm glad you're having a good day and hope it gets better as the day goes on!
I hope everyone gets to see Catt's new thread in the testimonies forum: Catt's miracle thread
I went to bed late last night but got up at 6. Jenn came and picked up Rascal and took him to the vet to be neutered. He's there now, poor baby. Bruce will pick him up after work so he should be home by 4:30. I'm so glad this will finally be over and they'll both be fixed and have their shots and all. I hate it when they have to go to the vet!
Hope you're having a good time Lorrie!
Hope you and Ed are doing well Cheryl!
I'm pretty beat so I'm probably not going to do much today.

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been so awol lately. Just trying to keep things done around here. Got my garden all planted. Ed asked me, the other day, if he can pull up the strawberry plants. Said there were about 7 squirrels in there that morning, and we probably don't have anything growing now. I went out and checked and called him over to that box AND the other 5 boxes and showed him what those varmints were up to. They had deep holes dug in all the boxes. It really had nothing to do with the strawberries. Not yet, anyway because they are still all green, but had everything to do with the pecans they are burying. :-/ They have managed to dig huge holes in all the boxes. So, Ed won't be tearing out the strawberries, anytime soon. To me, they are kind of a boring plant. Seems like I do more weeding around them than anything else. We don't get that much strawberries, because they get snatched before we get there. But, I really shouldn't be eating any anyway, because I got that citric reaction again, after all these years, and it's not yet completely gone away, but it's almost healed. Man that was so painful. I was kinda thinking that if we do pull up the strawberries, then I'd have somewhere to plant my sweet basil. But, that can easily go into a pot. Haven't done that yet though. I need to get out there and water everything though. I think our rain has pretty much run its course, so watering time.
Cindy, I read up there that you were considering grandparent's rights. Maybe you can plan to have Jessica over to your house. Maybe when her cousins are there, so she can get to know them too. And even they aren't, maybe you can get in some quality time with her. And as for the other two, have you asked to see them?
Didn't you mention that Jessica is one of the granddaughters who loves to read? Maybe you can intrigue her with some of your books. Even if you may never get the book back, don't let that make you hesitate. Jessica is more important than paper and cardboard. But, I didn't have to tell you that. I'm just grabbing at straws.
On to another subject. A woman I work with wants me to work more, and is going to try and talk the boss into it. I only work one day a week and am always scrambling around, trying to fill the 6 hours I'm scheduled for, and wind up leaving early. But, she is one of two permanent employees and this company's biggest revenue is in their deliveries. Not just to businesses in Kentucky, but to Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana and anywhere else they get orders from. They sell paint and supplies to car detailing companies. Anyway, they are using a temp from another agency to deliver stuff a couple days a week and she can't stand him. lol He has zero personality and is always looking at the floor and won't look you straight in the face and acts like he really doesn't want to be there. And he delivers to one of the biggest clients we have. You need an uplifting personality to keep a client like that, who can afford to go somewhere else. Anyway, I did meet him, and got that same impression, but didn't say anything. But, she really doesn't want to use him. And she has asked me twice if I'd consider it, for 2 days a week, driving to Missouri to deliver their products. It would mean that I have to lift heavy things in and out of their pickup truck. But, I need work. I'll let you know, maybe next week what happens with that. I think a week for her to get around to talking to him will be sufficient, and I can just ask him what his answer is.

Good Morning all!
Jessie is 18 and has a one year old son Cheryl. She knows her cousins, she just doesn't know me. I think the one you're thinking of is Isabella and her brother Jeremy. They also already know their cousins. Again, I'm the only one that doesn't get to see them very often. The only time I see them is at birthday parties for the others. Inviting them over doesn't do any more good then it did with inviting Jon to bring Jessie over. Michael was the only one who'd bring them over and now he rarely sees them himself.
Sorry you're having such a hard time with your squirrels and with that citrus reaction too. My strawberries have survived and are doing great. I've decided to just let them go as much as they want to. They can fill the whole yard as far as I'm concerned and at the rate they're going, they could well do that this year!
I hope you get the job you want. I didn't realize you were even working at a place like that.
Well, Rascal's home and recovery ok. He's happy to be home but not happy about what happened, poor guy. Oh well, such is life. He'll get over it.

Hello everyone! Well I had fun at the Georgia Baptist senior adult retreat, but had to come home a day early. On Thursday morning I was sitting with my parents' church group, at a long table overlooking a beautiful lake, eating the delicious breakfast (that conference center has the best food), and decided to take a photo of the meal to text to Daniel (solely to make him jealous!!); when I picked up my phone there was a text from John: "Call me soon as you get this." Uh oh!
Turns out Daniel had woken up with an extreme sore throat and was too sick to go to school. John was supposed to go to NC on business and Daniel was going to go home from school with a friend and spend the night, but now he couldn't do that since he was sick. :( So I had to go home. That was a disappointment because they had lots of great things planned for the rest of the retreat, but John told me to stay through lunch, so at least I got to do the morning activities.
Daniel has always gotten sick easily with throat/upper respiratory infections, but this is the first time he's been sick this entire school year. He hasn't missed any days of 10th grade until yesterday (and today), which is a shame since he's almost at the end of the year. And it will count as an unexcused absence because I didn't take him to the doctor, which I think is ridiculous, and it shows how low our society has gone.
Back in my day when I was sick, my mother wrote a note to the school and it was an excused absence, no questions asked, but they won't take the parents word any more; I guess too many are dishonest. But I'm not spending $100 to take him to the doctor when I know what's wrong, how to treat it, and there's nothing more a doctor can tell me to do than we're already doing. (Sorry for the rant - that policy just irritates me to no end.)
Daniel's actually feeling better this afternoon and I am really glad because today is his 16th birthday. We'd planned to go out to supper tonight and now I didn't know if we should do that since he felt bad enough this morning not to go to school (and what if we see one of his teachers if we go out?), but he has steadily gotten better through the day so we still might eat out.
That's what is happening here.

Went to the Homeschool Co-op last night for their end-of-the-year program. My daughter's youngest boy was in it. His comedy skit with the 4th and 5th grades lasted about 10 minutes. But he was glad to see us. His other grandpa is visiting from Atlanta so that was fun.
The construction workers from the new development in back of us damaged Charter's cable so we didn't have internet or TV since yesterday morning. Finally was repaired about noon today.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi everyone.Cindy ,I don't know how I would feel if Robin takes the kids and wouldn't let us see them.I can only imagine how sad you feel.Maybe when they get their own house,(you said he was really obeying the Lord now) he will allow you to keep them some week-ends.You know theres always hope and so sad for the ones you've already missed so much of.Hugs.You are the best grandma!when they are older they will come find you, cause Jesus shines out of you. Cheryl got me thinking of books.I read a series of books by one lady author.Three sets of 5 all about one christian family.Four daughters and one son. They were awesome.I have to go to the library to get the names. But I wouldn't mind reading them all again. They live in the world but not of the world.Jesus is the head of their family, then the dad and mom. They go through all the problems the world goes through but they have Jesus.Happy times, sad times, mistakes that alter their lives but none of them(that I remember)even thought of not doing anything The Lords way.It makes me think of how Cindy, especially Lorrie,as the mom was just like Lorrie. How it is possible to live Godly even through all their short-fallings ,mistakes and tragedy. Cheryl, please be careful in your consideration of the new job.Our bodies are not young and have been abused all our lives. You are vulnerable to a back injury .I guess I'm worried cause I pulled 2 muscles in my back today without ever leaving the car!All I'm saying is without insurance and the pain and all the things already acting up on you, please be careful of your back. The lifting to a pick up truck would be so awkward just having to lift it that high.I worry about all of you sometimes.LOl,In a good way.Right now I'm thinking if Jesus tells her to take it He will protect her body.Sorry if I was out of line but I love ya. Lorrie,so sorry Daniel got sick while you were away.Glad you got a bit of fellowship in though. And I was meaning to tell you how happy I am about Timothy!I love how the Father's cares can comfort us so.I gave Steven to Jesus when he was born again so I wouldn't get in the way of how the Father was going to raise him,so to speak, spiritually.Things aren't real good in the marriage and Steven is feeling used and so alone. But when I think of it,like right now,I'm thanking Jesus and giving my worry to Him.Steven is almost 40.I got to tell him this morning that he should try church again.Get some Godly friends. He didn't say anything and I shut -up.Y'all know that is all I get to do is get a chance to insert the Lord into conversations.Sorry.I was also going to tell you ,you planted him so long ago I am sure his roots in Jesus are very strong. You are a good mom.So proud of Timothy. You don't have time but I bet you would love the series.I got my librarian to order the ones she didn't have so I could read them in order, lol. She was as excited as me when the books would come in.If I couldn't get them back on time she would re-check them out for me,lol. Lulu,I know you are having a wonderful time right now and I pray it just gets better,God Bless you all, especially Jazzy. She is getting so big. Hi Debi and hi anna.Hi Seven.I see you like news and are an out and about person.Love your attitude.I don't watch the news,so sad and totally in God's control. On another note, lisa(my niece who has adopted me since her mom ,Glenda died,)made me go on FB and read something funny.I had to just "x" it out to stop reading up on my family.I was on about an hour before I knew it and just jumped off as qiuck as I got on.Face-book is not my friend.Did y'all know they had interviews with the mom who went to get her son from the riots?I had heard about it but didn't see.Well I saw alot about it. Well,I'm about done for tonite .will come back tomorrow,Love you guys, even the ones I forgot.
