Gas prices .... were paying $6.30 US per gallon out here, but to be fair were in the backwaters of the world..... $6.30 a gallon?????? that's literally double what we're paying and we think we're paying is way to much as it's higher then it's ever been before! I used to drink expresso when we lived in Germany, and occasionally after we got back to the states, but mostly I just stuck to plain coffee. I used to drink it all day long, but now I'm limited to one cup a day, although once in a while I can sneak in a second cup.
Excuse my french but excusez moi on that jog to europe, I fell flat on my face yesterday while walking on a javolina trail and I have weed burrs still in my hands. That had to hurt! I hope you get those out of your hands soon!

Ouch Anna...that would hurt like crazy too...good thing they make us tough .... Not just you lol. People's love has turned totally cold in the US and from what I've heard, everywhere else as well, and it's been like this for some time now. People love themselves a great deal, but no one and nothing else other than themselves. Many aren't even trying to pretend to love, but instead insist that their ungodly ways are "loving" when in fact they're killing themselves and the other person by what they're doing. Not to mention they're sending themselves and others they collect to Hell. I see every word of 2 Timothy 3:1–5 in the people every day now. I see it in the average person, tv stars, politicians, and even many who call themselves "Christians", but who in fact aren't really saved at all. It breaks my heart. It's amazing to me when you compare what love really is as we're shown in 1 Cor 13: 4-8, and Gal 5:22–23 and how people are acting today in 2 Timothy 3:1–5. Another of my favorite ways of learning about what real love looks like is by looking at all the "one anothers" in the New Testament. MacArthur wrote about it in one of his devotionals:
Agape is the love that gives. It's completely unselfish, with no taking involved. This is the highest form of love, which all the other virtues in 2 Peter 1 ultimately lead to. It seeks another’s supreme good, no matter what the cost. But what does it look like? The one anothers in the NT give an excellent picture. We are commanded to: Edify one another (Rom. 14:19). “Serve one another” (Gal. 5:13). “Bear one another’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2). Submit to one another (Eph. 5:21). Forgive one another (Col. 3:13). Instruct one another (Col. 3:16). “Comfort one another” (1 Thess. 4:18). Rebuke one another (Titus 1:13). Encourage one another to do good (Heb. 10:24–25). Confess our sins to one another (James 5:16). “Pray for one another” (James 5:16). “Be hospitable to one another” (1 Peter 4:9–10). Strength for today

It is interesting in our day and age that we have the ability to look back at history, decades or centuries, and see the lifestyle and influence on people, changing patterns, but the unlying truth of the Bible never changes. Then there is what we read about what is coming in the near future, what a time we have been predestioned to experience. Now people have learned their employment from a so to say template but to advance to a more productive future computers can do a better job than the old fashion way of employing people to labor, as we see this advancement less people are needed to do labor.

Seven, that American Underdog looks a great movie, I cant wait to see it....
Anna, agreed. I am just getting into artificial intelligence myself ( i work in IT ), and potentially i can see robots doing some of the simple and dangerous jobs that people now do, but humans are infinitely adaptable creatures and have reasoning skills way beyond computers. Even what they call ethics ( i e. "morality" without God in it ) is very hard to program in computer language due to its complexity and reasoning needed.
Its that God given amazing ability for love, reason, the wisdom to know we need God, and our creativity, that sets us apart from animals and machines.
Its true, they can produce algorithms to mimic how things work, but Gods masterpiece of humans is just amazing.
But humanity is , in its mad rush to save a buck , is losing that perspective on the amazingness of Gods work in us.
I think we will find those who know Gods word even more needed to teach people about God as we move forward. Humans also think they are smarter than God by making these "clever" machines, and I think you'd agree that guess who made humans capable of making these machines?

Yeah, I heard about that and had to laugh. MacArthur talked about it in a recent sermon. It was hilarious. Cindy, i really liked the John Mcarthur video on page one of the chat....it eas hard to stop watching. He did say that a country under judgement goes mad .... Yeah, and the whole world is under judgement right now and all the unsaved have been judged with a reprobate mind. Next will be the rapture for us, for them the Tribulation will be next.

Seven I remember when I got windows 10 upgrade you said you already had windows 11 and I did not even know there was windows 11, now I am suppose to upgrade to windows 11 and in computer support it says that I can't because I do not have what is necessary to upgrade, I was wondering if your home computer runs with windows 11? I assume months ago you were talking about your work computer as I guess that computer uses G5, now my computer set up wants me to use G5, I don't know if upgrade download to windows 11 will work or not, but I am not the one to do that, Ron will see if it will upgrade from 10 to 11 or not.

Oh I meant to mention that I have friends in Europe, and they have told me that the virus is no where near as bad there as the news makes it out to be. So they're dealing with the same thing we are here. They're sick and tired of being told to wear a mask etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see some start to rebel because of it.

So 4G is better over a distance than 5G. I work in IT and wouldnt bother with an upgrade unless *someone else* is paying for it.

Ok I understand now, 5G is for city areas where people live close to the 5G towers and 4G is for distance, then I need to keep 4G.

Good morning, have a blessed day today, I will be listening to a Andrew Murray book today and Michael mentioned something interesting to us that soon I can join with others about learning about mathematical formulas and algorithms, he said it is good for the mind and if a person strives to do something the body will help you, I think also the reason why I might be able to learn this is because of Michaels interest in wanting to teach others. When I was in high school I never had an interest in math, I did what was simple to get credits to graduate early, but now that I have the time to learn and someone that wants to volunteer to teach, I will adventure with the others, to see what I can learn.

Anna, I am so with you about math.... but probably even waaaaay more so!!
How ever, math is one of the many things of God. I never thought that before...
but I suppose....it could be even a type of 'thinking God's thoughts after Him....
tho that saying ( thinking God's thoughts after Him) has always been for his Word, scriptures...
but maybe could be in a way, applied to sigh..... math

Yes Barbra, you are way more understanding of the way of math than me and even will be so after I learn some about it, it will be far reaching for me but for whatever I can learn, I will have gained. Michael jokingly calls them nerd classes, but he says no he enjoys it and that it is applicable for everyday life. He said the Hebrew language is a mathematical language, the basis of advanced formulas ( he lost me there but maybe you understand that). Mathematics will help the brain with small connections to form in the brain causing a person to have more brain capacity, memory gets better, recognize patterns and speech will pick up in speed, so it is healthy for the brain.

No seriously Anna....I can do elementary adding, subtraction, division and multiplying.....
But I was always a fine arts person I am an artist, I was into music( took piano), dance( took ballet), literature, ( as a kid I would often read 2 books a day....
I had no brothers or sisters and my adopted parents were grandparent age....we lived out on a point with the ocean just steps away, but no other homes ( so books were my 'friends').
If I am into anything 'scientific" it would be animals, plants, creationism ( young earth), etc.
But I never could figure out algebra,( my one F and finally managed to get a D) the rest of my subjects were almost all A's and a few B's.
No I shudder at the thought of anything mathematical
but.....
I have always held the thought, that if I had a tutor ( for a very very long time), a tutor who could make math come alive ( like art and music....but more so like God's Word).....
and we started at the very very foundation ( back to adding 2+2) I might even be able to 'get' it.....
well....at least more than I ever did.
But math is not in my top 10 or top 100 or top 1000 things I am anxious to do LOL

hi
Speaking of math, did you know that all artificial intelligence is based on advanced mathematics?
Sorry...nerd moment.... :-)
5G is awful - because its such a short wavelength and gets blocked by trees and buildings etc, it means they have to have towers like really close to everything and people. No thanks.....but it means tracking the location fo a phone down to 10 feet or less, is much easier for the govt.
Hope everyone is good.
