I think people are getting more interested in bow and arrow for self defense. It used to be guns but it is getting difficult to be able to buy bullets.
Cindy that is good that you now have a veternarian that you are comfortable going to. I would guess you might have to pick up your vet records yourself because they won't get mailed forward, but if they do get mailed forward, that would be good.
It is time for me go to pastor Scott's site now. Lately it has not been easy for me to log on here, when I try, I see forbidden and can't get here. I don't know why that happens.

I'm sorry you've been having trouble logging in Marlene. I copied my post from the how to thread that shows what to do when you're having that problem. I hope it helps. If you have trouble logging in or registering, please go here for help: support.proboards.com/board/74/users-members I don't control that part of the board so cannot help you with it, so telling me about it won't help. But the folks at proboards seem to be very good at helping with any kind of problem related to the board.
There is also a forum "help" guide that tells you how to do everything. It's located here:
www.proboards.com/forum-help-guide
Today is going to be real hot and humid. I have to go to the dentist later this afternoon to get my new dentures adjusted. Makes me wish we had air conditioning in the car, but I'm sure I'll live through it anyway lol
I hope everyone is having a good day!

It sounds like you had a good Father's Day too Kelly, that's great! We did as well. Jennifer brought both her Dad and me a treat and of course got her Dad a Father's Day card and gift. Then we all played a game until dinner time. Well, I had to bow out so I could cook dinner, but i still got to play for quite awhile anyway. It's always fun playing games with the family.

Hi everyone
Yes I think we need to be constant in our prayer life, things are moving very fast ....
Cindy I'm glad you had a good vet experience, a good vet is worth keeping and they "get" animals. We have a new vet for our horse, he seems good. Its a very organic experience being a vet.

But it looks like we got one anyway.
On the way to my dentist appointment I got to see a Mama deer having a snack while her brand new baby was nursing! It was such a beautiful sight!

Scott who lives in northern OR mentioned about the heat, he said to stay out of the sun, take it from him, he knows, he's had heat stroke and a heart attack...He said he does not want to be a post toasty. I know in our area the UVR, ultra violet rays, are extreamly high on the meter reading, number 12, above the number 10 is high. It is probably like that everywhere this summer.

Hi everyone,
Cold here, close to 30 a few nights. Hard to button up horse rugs with frozen fingers ...
By the way, Im now convinced demons can hypnotize humans.
Ive seen it up close, and we need to pray against it.
Its manifest a lot through social media and normal media.
Christians need to be aware of it.

We just found out that my husbands last living brother died. So we'll be going to a funeral sometime this coming week. Those details are being worked out now, so I don't yet know when it will be. But if I don't show up here, then you'll know why.

Sorry to hear your news Cindy about Bruce's brother.
It has gone back to normal temp wise here on the coast 61 as I type....might go to 70 but I kind of doubt it however, Portland predicted to be 97, so they are still not out of the troubling highs

Good day, ok Seven, I did that, things are working back to normal now. I also did a computer clean up and we do have revo uninstall that we pay for so I ran that also. I forgot to do the defragment, but I will do that next time.
what is with the talk of wearing masks, that was yesterday, no one wears masks now in the area where I live.
When it gets too hot I start to feel ill, it can get as warm in the home as 90 but is usually around 85 but it is the heat I feel coming from the roof that makes me not feel well, however we have a week of cooler temps so that will help to have some relief. Some people do well in warm temps, not me, my world comes to a halt, I like the cool weather.

Good morning everyone! It's good to see you back Marlene! I guess we're all experiencing the heatwave now huh? I found some of my old graphics that I thought I'd share with you guys today. Not often it gets this hot over most of the US! But I think Barbara has us all beat since it got up to 116 where she's at, at least according to todays news. We only got up to 101 -104 which was plenty hot as far as I'm concerned!
What's weird is that the cats seem to like it! They went out and laid on the porch for a part of the day. I couldn't believe it!
I hope you're all surviving the heat where you are. I just stay inside with the air conditioning lol. It does remind me of the only other times it's gotten this hot here though. The first time was 1994 when my oldest daughter graduated from high school. It was 104 that day and there's no air conditioning in the school! I thought we'd all melt! Then I had to go to work and we didn't have AC there either! The only other time was back when Elijah was just a tot. He's 15 now so it would have been about 2008, as Gracie was still just a baby. We all took the kids up north so Elijah could see "Thomas the Train." So we spent the day outside in 104 degree heat! We should have had our heads examined!
We're also due to have a severe thunderstorm this afternoon or evening. I don't like those! But maybe that's what will cool things down, so I guess it's ok. lol

Cindy, 104 heat to see Thomas the train. Once one summer day I was outdoors chasing away a cow from my home, I thought I could get the cow to go back home and it seemed to be working and I was walking in the heat between bushes and trees with no water and the cow was moving in the right direction, then the cow stopped near a nice shade tree and decided it was not going to walk any further and would rather challenge me because I was starting to become a nusience, it was then that I thought to myself I have walked too far in this heat with no water, so I then did not care what the cow did and went back home to get some water for myself.
