Yeah even lay back fellow Cali folks are up to here with Gavin and his face madate dont' push it we go for try keep us healthy look like vaccinate rate going up in minority community they talking about herd immunity so possiblty by June 15 we may get rid of it to soften the mandate just a bit We allow for first time now for indoor service in certain area 50 percent
Cindy, I couldn't agree with you more on Covid.
Yes, it's a virus, and sadly, yes, people have died from it.....
I think, that tends to happen with people and viruses...
( especially with compromised immune systems, etc.)
But a pandemic,
with people dying up and down the street,
as with some past pandemics......
So far, I know of not one person with it.
We live in a county with under 100,000 population...
About 800 people out of that number got it...
and just recently the 8th person died of it
( that's about 1 person dying every 2 months.)
Correct me if I am wrong,
but I would think, that is not an off the wall pandemic.
I also do think, it is beginning, to look to have a lot to do with control.
Maybe, it was just an opportunity that landed in bureaucratic laps....
But, I am aghast that Canada now has it's first
'underground' Christian church!
And that Canada put it's pastor,
in a maximum security prison!
( while letting out hardened criminals because of Covid!).
I know you have been adamantly against conspiracies...
but, I am thinking that eventually,
if there are enough 'facts'
then, it is no longer a 'conspiracy'....right?
Where else do we see the governments,
telling the church:
IF it can meet
how many can come
what they must wear ( masks)
what they can and cannot do ( no singing etc.)
jail it's pastors
take the land and guard it against any people going to church,
put three fences around it,
guard it day and night
( with tons and tons of police)
( and what would be almost funny....
put a 'mask' around one of the fences
I guess if it should speak, people would be in danger?
or
Is it dangerous to look at a church even?
did I mention
with a ton of police guarding it day and noght
( are there no more criminals in Canada?)
and on and on
Oh wait.....they do that in China and many other places in the world.
But California opened all sorts of businesses
( some with little 'social distancing, etc.)
but kept an iron fist on churches,
took them to court,
tried to take their parking spaces
and every trick in the book to stop them for holding service
No weddings, no funerals, no baptisms, no communion, no singing, etc.
But gambling,
strip clubs,
'peaceful protests etc. etc.
no problem
Well, here in SC our governor lifted the mask mandate in early March, but masks are still required in almost every public place we enter. 
John said it's because nobody wants to risk the liability of someone contracting COVID in their places of business, which makes sense I guess, given how so many people are prone to sue!
The churches I know of aren't actually requiring masks, but they are strongly suggested. Most people wear them walking in and out of church, but remove them once they're seated.

We have had a lot of Covid in our state, but compared to the actual percentage of the population it's been fairly low.
In our family, Timothy came down with it on Christmas Day, Daniel around New Year's, and I got it on Valentine's Day so we hit all the winter holidays.  Thankfully John stayed well (I don't know how he managed that, with him being on an immunosuppressant, but we thank God for His protection).
Sadly we have known a few people to pass away from it.
Cindy, so thankful you didn't react (much) to your second vaccine. John's done fine with his shots... in fact I hear him talking on the phone right now and answering someone about it, "...just a sore arm..."   I hadn't thought about the liability issue, but now that you mention that it makes sense. Maybe that's why Walmart and our grocery store have signs saying they still require masks, but they don't say anything to anyone like me who's not wearing one.
I'm sorry to hear that you guys got the virus; especially on holidays! But thank the Lord, like most others you all got over it. In a real pandemic that wouldn't happen. That's fantastic that the Lord protected John from it though! I hope all of you are doing well now. I'm sure glad you stopped by to visit!  |

I told you about two months ago that a neighbors house burned to the ground, I had driven past the old structure home and it had burned to the ground, well neighbor Wayne said that both the man and woman died in the home, I just assumed a ground structure would have been easy enough to get out of, as they were not disabled. Fire fighter said it looked like the woman died from smoke inhalation and it looked like the man was trying to drag his wife out of the home when he died also from smoke inhalation.
I thought about all my neighbors in the area and remembered that in the last 18 years someone had died from almost every home.
People are moving to the area where I live as they have the idea that rural is better. I think it is a mistake to move to close to the border and also wealthy people own the farms, taking the water and some people find they don't have water for their home dwelling.

So great, they might try to keep mask wearing going forever.
I could not believe the conversation I had with a young 26 year old in our complex.
We got to talking about covid and masks etc.
And I said in passing.....I wonder why for the past 100 years we did not have to wear masks for the flu?
And she replied......
"Well....we SHOULD HAVE!"
I then said, in that case, we should wear them from birth to death
and she said...
speaking of 'birth'...
she is 5 month pregnant
she will have to wear a mask while delivering baby!
Call me crazy, but I would think, you might need all your oxygen
while giving birth
I only had 2 children...but it seemed to me,
I don't think, being hindered of even a scrape or a molecule of oxygen, would have made me a happy camper.

Masks dehumanize people too. Barb, you're right, I can't imagine being in labor and having to wear a mask. That is crazy! And really sad that your young friend thinks people should have been wearing a mask for the last hundred years!!!!! 
Cindy, thank you for the comments and we are fine now from Covid - except we haven't totally recovered our sense of smell. Even though the boys and I don't seem to have caught Covid from one another (it's possible Daniel got it from Timothy, but we think he got it from friends at school), our symptoms were all very similar.
And we all lost our sense of smell but NOT taste. Oddly enough I can smell pleasant scents like flowers, but not unpleasant scents... like the dog!  You'd think that would be a good thing, but if there's a bad odor in my house, such as food going bad in the kitchen, I want to know so I can fix it.
Sevenofnine, I hope the restrictions in CA loosen up for you, very soon!
SW7777, my husband and I have debated the effectiveness of masks for a solid year now! I was wearing one and caught Covid anyway, but he was with me in the car (no mask) for four hours driving home from a trip the first day I had it (at my most contagious point) and he didn't catch it from me, so........?

so, I have heard of the first people,
I kind of,
sort of,
'know',
that have gotten covid.
Vanessa ( our granddaughter)
boyfriend's
mother...
had a friend
who got covid
( tested.....she had a cough)
She is fine
So Lawson ( the boyfriend)
mom
now has Covid
( a cough...that's it)
She too was tested....
So although Lawson, has been away for a week,
when he gets home
he will get tested
Therefore,
Vanessa is now sitting in her room,
with a mask on,
so as not to potentially infect Devon.
I have never met Lawson's mom,
but I know Lawson...
it does not seem like his dad has it tho.
But both woman, had at most,
a cough and that was that.
no hospital stay,
no super high temps
etc.
Yes, Steve they not only 'stole' the Church in Canada,
they put a 'mask' around it....

Here is a video that tells of conditions on the border. It takes an understanding of it to survive in the area, maybe that is true in all areas where people live, I don't know, after living here for 18 years and not visiting the northern states, my understanding for survival is limited to the area where I live.

Well might be good news maybe by June 15 that when our soon to be recalled Goernor may announced herd immunity in SO CAL according to latest report I post everything in end time news look like infamous nask madate might be gone then FINGER Cross
BTW yeah I hear about LAUSD supertient leave his gig by end of June look like at end of May we may get out of early as possible they want start Summer school second week of June they give kids off for three weeks for kids who need it
I may gearing up for the house getting tent it really my parent house I think about using my Best Western card for point that I have store up for all school district meeting up to Sac-town Bay area in last five year
Way I look at hotel near my house I going save $$ on hotel rooms I get 2 hotel room one for myself one for me the bed are really nice it look like serious remodeling before Pandemdic 2020 so I think they remodel with hotel with jazusssi and pool
And hot tub bath inside each room with Free WI Fi

She had previously said the house has a termite problem and will have a tent put around the home for when it is fumigated and at that time she and parents will be staying in a nice hotel rooms that she has made a reservation for.

The School district where I work they plan end in end of May gear up for Summer school they wont need me until Mid August I doing all that tenting and termite work probably this June

Yess I watch little a bit of Oscars just a 20 minutes of it it was BORINGGGG I hear ratings were bad too remind me of Film Noir movie having at Union station in LA I don't get it A I get subscious of Robert Mitchum walking through in Oscar like Film Noir movie ORRR I got stop watch too much Film noirs movie on MOvies tv network on Sunday night LOL!

I also, forgot seven had mentioned the termite issue previously....
so I needed a 'translation' as well.
I could not figure out,
if she was going hippie style
or
off grid style and living in a tent....
or
maybe putting a tent up, in a hotel room?
But that would NOT have been so off the wall to us,
as we have a friend,
that had been homeless of about 10 years...
and he actually does put up a tent in his apt.
He has done so for about 10 years now.
So, I could see, that there might be another person,
somewhere in the world....
( and LA would be THE place for 'unique')
Who might do like our friend. LOL

No it temporaly we hope lOl this time my parent think we took our wooden deck we been having problem usually was patch gas job now it full tent city for the house so we hope we get it out this time beside it way over due for 25 years been that long since my childhood house got tented so I think after that we are cool
OH Yeah I already post California losing congressional seat over census we lost 8 millioin people in last 10 years to Texas or FLA beccause of high taxes no more congressional seat we still have already have 3 now i lost four one

Heard from my neighbor Wayne, he said that his mother, sister and brother-in-law all have covid right now.
We will see what is said in the discussion in 2 days about a proposed millage tax, gas tax increase, and 4th stim ck.?

It is stunning and mind-blowing all that has happened in the last year with, well, just everything! I said to my mother the other day, if somebody had told us (say, at the start of 2020) how quickly things would change that year, we'd never have believed it.
Nothing feels right to me anymore, and I've also had several people tell me that's how they feel, recently. John & I are searching for a new church home after almost 18 years at our [now previous] church (unless the Lord leads us back there). Churches have changed too. I mean, around here, most appear to still be scripturally sound and yet... I think we're going to have a hard time finding a place we both feel comfortable.
Oh well, this old gospel song just popped into my mind, and it sure is fitting!
