Kelly. I like nice hair style and makeup. I don't know why I don't have that though. A couple of years ago I went shopping and did not realize how raggedy I looked. My husband told me to dress nicer so I don't get put on a bus with homeless people, so in the store I looked at my self in a mirror and said to myself, I have to do better than this, so I bought some new shoes and new clothes to wear. I wish I would have kept those old leather shoes, but I threw them away. I think though if I had a job I would wear a lot of makeup, maybe because I am a country bumpkin is why I don't notice outward appearance now.

Yeah I going get flu shot at Walgreens with my insurance because I don't want get sick yeah everything is cool look like my Wacky Governor Gavin Newsom might be change his mind about church service allwoing if they practice socail distancing Translation I got my butt kick by LA Judge those LA Superior Judges in Homey the clown from In Living color fame said Homey don't play that I'm glad you mentioned the flu shot, as I'd forgotten about it. I should get mine too. hmmm I guess I'll get mine at Hannaford's pharmacy when we go this coming weekend. That way I won't have to make a separate trip during the week to the hospital get one - assuming I can get an appointment that soon. another of the local birds! good afternoon FH family! It’s a chilly rainy day here, music in the Sky day! 😃⛈ all we have to do is grocery shopping!
It rained here all day Saturday, but it didn't help much with the drought as it wasn't a hard rain... it was more then a sprinkle all day, but not much more then that... I really can't describe it much better lol We did our shopping on Friday for a change, which was kind of nice.A few days ago I read where some people received some seeds in their with the (a) package delivered to them. Didn't order the seeds. Today I received my spigot that I ordered and with it was a bottle containing 60 capsules free that I did not ask for, did not order. It says, Alpha Yohimbine, premium Rauwolscine. Checked it out, it is a toxic plant that grows on one of the Hawaiian Island. It does sell online, on the bottle it says, fat burning potential, increased focus, healthy libido, 2mg of root bark. I threw them away. Read some reviews of what people said about it and their caution against taking it. People should not be sent something free that they did not ask for to sample. I like getting free stuff when I order something. It's especially nice when the store I order it from includes things they're pretty sure I'll like based on my current order or previous orders. I've gotten some real neat stuff for my cats and for me that way over the years! I've gotten seeds I didn't order as a free gift in the past too, but I've always planted them as they were pretty flowers. Sadly they were annuals so they don't come back, but they were nice while they lasted. Have you seen this where you live? I have not seen it yet where I live. Read in comments they use this in probably all states. Sometimes located at a bank or gas station. Pay with your face. I haven't seen it, but have heard about it online.this place is called Garden of the gods, should be God, but we know the truth! It’s hundreds of acres of these rocks just jerking out of the ground! me with a wicked cool kitty! We’ve had a could really blessed days with our friends! It's beautiful there! And what a nice kitty! She looks like one of our old cats whose name was Ella. (Kids named her too lol) I'm glad you're able to enjoy being with so many friends and loved ones now! It seems like you've left a lot of stress behind you! Ron, Tim and Tim’s grandson’s catch from yesterday! this is Karen, Tim’s wife, I spent the day with her and her kids, we’ve known each other for over 20 years! Great pictures Lulu!
Saturday was a difficult day for us. I thought we were going to lose our 17 year old cat, Angel as she was having a very hard time breathing and the prednisone didn't seem to be helping her. I must have called at least 12 vets and vet hospitals in the areas around us, and not one single one would see her. Most, including ours, were closed. Before covid, even when closed our vet would call us back when we called with an emergency during their closed hours. Not now though. I couldn't believe it! None of them would talk to me. I only found 1 that was still open by the time I got to their number, but they were closing in a half hour (at 1pm). So they wouldn't see her. They basically said, "tough luck". It sure showed me just how much those vets actually care about the animals they serve. Thanks to the Lord, Angel slowly got better and was fine after a few more hours. But it was an emotionally exhausting day for us to say the least. Oh we did find two hospitals that were open (and by this time it was after 1:30 and Angel had started to do better) but both were over an hour away. Not something I'd want to put her through as she hates being in the car.

Lorrie, let's also pray that if your Mom does the chemo that she won't have any side effects from it. Bruce's cousin had stage 4 cancer and had chemo for several years. (she was your Mom's age too). That's what I prayed among other things, and for 3 years she had 0 side effects and felt great the entire time. The doctors were amazed and couldn't believe it. Sadly she passed away last month from something else, but the Lord answered our prayers and for that we're grateful! Your Mom is in my prayer list hon. I won't forget, and I've asked the Lord to remind me to pray whenever she (or you) needs it. Cindy, thank you so much for that word of encouragement. I read it to my Mother on the phone that night that you posted, and she is most grateful for your prayers.
My mom drove over today from GA for an appointment with an oncologist here in Columbia (Tuesday afternoon) for a THIRD opinion. I feel sure this doctor will say the same thing as the first two did, and then Mother will have to make her decision. Please pray for God's direction just for a couple more days, then she should have her mind made up!
Cindy, I am SO sorry about Angel and was disheartened to read that none of the vets in your area would even talk to you about her. That seems really strange to me.... are they just not practicing at all right now? I don't understand why they wouldn't try to do an online appointment just for your peace of mind even if they can't examine the pet. Thankful she got to feeling better anyway.
Enjoying reading everyone's updates. We all live such interesting lives! So excited that September is a mere 36 minutes away!!! Cooler weather here we come!!

Good morning Cindy, first day of a new month, hoping for 10 degree cooler weather. I saw a commercial for cat food that I thought was funny, it said, cats, smart enough to get their claws into your own will but not smart enough to clean their own teeth. I was able to get dog bones for my two dogs and also bought chicken flavored toothpaste. One of the dogs has a breathing problem.

I'm so glad that I was able to encourage your Mom a little bit. I'm sure this must be very stressful and scary for her, and for you as well. Praying even now for you both....
As far as the vets go, I imagine for some of them it's just their normal way of business.... in other words, it's just a business to them. Others, like my vet, are scared to death about covid. He did see Angel once already after covid had started and I could easily see that he was scared to death of catching it. He had everyone stay in the car and only had me get out and put the carrier by the door. Then he came out and got it, and since I wasn't all the way to the car yet, he was telling me to keep walking and holding his arms out as though to keep me as far away from him as he could. I was really shocked. Plus, in the past, I've called him on weekends when I had a problem, and at night during the week, and his answering service gave him my message and he always called me right back. Now they won't even call him for any reason! (I was so upset that I asked the lady, "then why does he have you working for him, when all he needs is an answering machine!". She said she didn't know. I felt bad for saying that as soon as it was out of my mouth. I'd forgotten about it till now, so now I need to go ask the Lord to forgive me because that was totally unnecessary.

This past week has been absolutely wonderful here weather wise and it looks like it's going to continue. It was really weird because one day it was in the 90's like it has been all summer (and spring too) and the next day the high was in the mid 70's and it's stayed like that, with only a couple of days getting up to the high 70's. I'm loving it!
I'm glad you were able to get the bones you wanted for your dogs!

Lulu....I agree!!! every time one of our pets have died in the past, I have said: That's it!! No more pets, I am done!!!!
And then........
every single time in a few months ( or less) along comes another one
What?
Is there some kind of sign? like neon, but only animals can see....
that says:
Here are some chums you can con with your super cuteness
I look at them with daggers but does it detain them nooooooo not in the least
And so..... now we have the sweetest most adorable most loving smartest cutest con cat in the world!!!!!
She was semi feral too but not any more, oh no!!! she has made herself quite comfy!!!
Just great! humph!
But see..... Cindy's heart is breaking and that makes me soooo sad!

That picture of you and Ron is a favorite of mine from the pictures you have shown so far. What is the altitude that you are at standing at there in Pike forest? Is it harder to breathe at such a high altitude? I am glad, you both look so happy.

Exactly Anna.....
Breathing is becoming more of an issue for me as time goes by so probably mountain air would not be the best.
So I wonder about the altitude and if it was harder to breath?
Sure was majestic tho!!!

Attachment Deletedyes it was a little harder to breath, we kept a watch on Ron, we brought his co2 reader, he did good! He was just a tat law, 87/90 I was normal, 95/97 ! We didn’t do a lot of walking, and walked slow! But he did good, no dizziness or anything! Attachment Deletedand these darn masks made it harder!

Yes I would image wearing a mask at a high elevation would make it even more difficult to breathe.

Oh Wow! Lulu...
Yikes! I did not even think about the addition of wearing a mask!! Yikes again!!!
90% oxygen isn't the greatest tho right? I often have that reading also....but not at any high level
I am ocean level..... so I suppose my oximeter would read even lower at a higher elevation.
still all seemed well and you got a beautiful view of God's Creation!! :)

Yes, 90% was on the low side, but adding in that darn mask! It was still ok. When we got back In The van, we took our masks off and it went up some, but not what it is at a lower elevation ! today is Laundry day, and just kicking back That’s a dog 🐶 in the gif! Lol it’s been a nice day!

I sometimes have the reading go into the high 80's like 88
So adding a mask over my nose I do get very dizzy
Thus, in order to protect others ( I guess that is the idea) I wear it over my mouth but leave some room for my nose to peek out and breath
But then where I live we have had zero hospitalizations and no deaths
and most of those 90 who had it were from a different district.

Kelly-Al Green has a sense of humor, that is funny, also I thought of that song, your so vain, I bet you think this song is about you, anyways I laughed.
Barbra, I also wear the mask over my mouth and not over the nose because when I get in a store and need to read small print, have my glasses on, they fog over and I can't read anything, so I am always moving the mask over my nose, then not, seems kinda silly.
It is time now for the Mennonite guy to sell turkeys, selling for 4.75 a pound, weight 15 to 23 pounds, average cost to consumer 90.25, can be as low as 71.25 or as high as 109.25, and that guy measures weight to the gnats fanny. I don't buy turkey, but they all will quickly sell to the people in the cities of Tuscon and Phoenix.
