I believe it Kelly. Now that I think about it, I can see them putting out halloween candy, after all, halloween is only 3 months and a week away LOL
Lulu, I can't believe I typed your name instead of Ron's! I guess I'm just so used to talking to you, that my brain just automatically related it to you! I'm sorry!
I've been using a cane for a long time too. At first it was rare for me to use it and then only when I wasn't at home. Now it's normal for me to use it all the time when we go somewhere, unless I can hang onto a cart instead. I use it at home a lot now too and almost always if I go outside. I should always use it outside but sometimes I forget it. One of my new pain doctors surprised me a couple of months ago when he asked me about the cane. He asked if I had balance problems and when I said no, he asked what I used the cane for then. I had to explain that due to pain and the scoliosis on my lower back, I'm always doubled over and the more pain I'm in, the more I'm doubled over which just serves to cause even more pain, like a vicious circle. So I use the cane (or shopping carts) to hold myself up and take pressure off my back - putting it all on my arms and hands. It enables me to continue to walk when I otherwise couldn't. Weird, how I just thought everyone uses a cane for the same reason I do!
That's great news about your Mom Kelly! God is good, all the time!!!!
How are you doing Marlene?
Oh, guess what everyone? June was finally able to log on yesterday. She's been unable to since we came here. I was hoping she would have posted here, but obviously not. We'll find her though!

Nice pictures that you post Lulu.
Don't know who June is Cindy. Saying prayers. I am just going with the flow, doing well because of prayer and having faith, I would not even want to think of how life would be without that. Remember that song, count your blessing, count them one by one, count your blessing see what God done. Have to go now, Ronald wants me to cook food.

Hey FH, just checking in. My wife and I have been home for the past week. Healthy and just staying safe. I am working from home so Shirley is a happy camper. My hands are still not cooperating all the time but I am doing good for the most part. I have a Doctor's appointment coming up to increase meds but otherwise I am good. Shirley has to unscrew caps / jars. I still can't master that yet. It's all good. Well take care and stay safe and God Bless.

Summer vacation to Phoenix anyone? It is 3 am and it is 90* in Phoenix, by 4 pm it will be 114*. I often wake up at 3 am, so I woke up Ronald and said lets go outdoor and do the work we have to do and he told me not to wake him up until I see the sun shining, so I said ok 4 am and he said 6 am, that is too late, hope he wakes up by 6 am.

Ummmm Anna no thanks on a phoenix vacation
Ha!!! Here on the Northern Oregon coast, if we hit 90 very very rarely.... we are ALL about to go to hospital with heat exhaustion or worse.... That is the whole of the locals in our town
I just checked our weather forecast for the next 7 days, and high will be between 65 and 68 degrees.
We usually are in the low to mid 70's for summer so that is a wee bit on the low side
but it is sunny out....so I think it will probably really go to 70

I hate it when this happens! But apparently while I was messing around with my post yesterday, (I got sidetracked in my Bible so had my post open but hadn't finished replying yet, and while I was sidetracked, June (Jillian) and Barbara posted! So the reason I didn't reply to you guys is because I didn't see your posts lol. I'll reply now though!
Hi Cindy. I got logged on yesterday but did not post. I don’t know how to start a thread or reply. I see the replly button so I am trying it out. Still don’t know how to start a thread. I will need to get accustomed to this new board. Love you all❤️🌻☕️ It's wonderful to see you June! (would you rather I used your username when I address you on the board? You're doing great and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it very soon! Mark's in a Christian band now June, and they were on tour when covid hit. But just before covid hit, Mark was in a very bad accident - some guy hit him so it wasn't Mark's fault, but I don't remember the particulars any more. Mark is still recovering from the accident however.
Ummmm Anna no thanks on a phoenix vacation

I wish that was our temps but that sounds like our spring. Our normal highs are generally in the high 80's, and sometimes 90's, not at all like it's been here this summer. I am sold on the idea of living on the Oregon coast, seeing the ocean, sounds nice.
Welcome back Jillian, sister in the Lord. I'm sure that's lovely and would be nice to live there too, but I love New Hampshire, and honestly wouldn't want to leave it. I love the four seasons, and love the scenery here, and, well, just everything lol I loved Arizona, Florida, Colorado, Utah, and even the little bit of California my Aunt and Uncle lived in back in the 50's and early 60's. The only places I didn't care for were Texas, (too flat lol) Chicago suburbs and New York City (I'm a country girl lol). Hey Jillian were you on the board before I think I remember you back in da day Well I forgot tell you guys I got first election stuff from state of CA they want to know if my address is correct on envelope so far I didn't move in last couple years I been in my house over 15 years now I am good my parents been living with me all their stuff come to their Duchess of news url pad LOL! I love the pictures, even if they aren't right side up all the time! (Did you check out those links I gave you and ask over there what the problem was?)
Oh I wasn't aware that they had other places for you to stay. I thought you always stayed in your 5th wheel, like that was your home... I would think it would be awfully expensive to have to pay to live someplace else every where you go though. Or do you only stay in other places part of the time? Sorry I'm so ignorant about how a 5th wheel works. I guess I thought they were used pretty much the same way a RV would be.
I bet Ashlynn is excited and I'm sure you guys are too! I know you'll all make good memories with her!
Speaking of which, that's what we did again yesterday. Jennifer, Elijah and Grace, and one of her friends Juliet, came over to help me with yard work. Boy did I put them all to work too! Bruce couldn't believe how much we got done! I'm cleaning up some nasty vines that grow along the ground and then up anything they find. They started on my neighbors tree, or at least I thought it was there tree, so I didn't do anything at first. But when they started to go crazy I had to. I've been trying to get rid of them for 3 years now but always have had to stop before I get them all pulled out by the roots, due to pain. Well this year I have Jenn and her family to help me and also our neighbor's adult son is helping! And of course Bruce does too when he's home from work. So we're going to win this year! Be honest I felt the quake I went back to sleep I got snarky comment at End time news forum it felt like shaking then I turn over put my cover over my head and went back to asleep Wake me when it was 8.0 quake LOL! I was wondering Cindy...if Jillian2/June had that much trouble getting on...
I wonder if anyone else also did, but gave up trying?
About Oregon.
I grew up in West Mystic, Conn...so of course, I love New England!!!!!!!
I lived in Hawaii for about 13 years
and in Northern Calif for about another 13 year or so ( my least favorite place)
then we have been in Oregon for about 30 years.
I love both the East Coast and West...and Hawaii for beauty, scenery Tho New England has the best scenic old homes and prettiest Fall and even winter snow
But I do love Seaside Or. not only the weather ( will will be around 68 today)
But another neat thing about the West Coast is no mosquitoes!!!
If any try to travel here, the winds blow from West to East and send them all inland ( ha ha Portland)
I have never seen one ( mosquito that is...I have seen Portlanders..... the wind does not seem to blow them away as easily LOL but actually when it starts raining they mostly leave )
and we have been here 20 years
Also almost no snakes, I saw a wee little snake one time here ( of course no alligators or reptiles, scorpions creatures like that)
And Seaside is neat because to the East we have low-ish ( maybe 1,500 feet to around 4,000 feet more to the south) forested mountains
I live 2 blocks from the ocean and one block from the Necancum River
We have lots of rivers, lakes and of course the ocean here and it stays green all year round...well we do get some Fall colors and some trees drop their leaves for winter.
The marine layer comes rolling back each night about 90% ( I would guess on average) of nights... which is another reason we stay on the moderate range of temps.
We get a dusting of snow, maybe 3 times in the winter
and hail
but a local 'secret' is:
we can also be 70 degrees for a few days in the deep winter LOL
