Whoa I just got this tweet from News twitter feed I go on News for you Dr. Anthony Fauci says US could see more than 100,000 coronavirus-related deaths I think definitely, because most people stay home when they get a flu and do not contact the doctor or hospital. I heard it said those numbers like that reported are about 10% of what is actually out there.

Hi all, I live in the biggest land based valley in the world (I know weird huh) which is located here in southern Colorado and we have now got a case in every county in our valley. I have grounded Stan! lol He is allowed to go to work and then come straight home. I'll be doing the shopping from now on. He needed gas for his truck so we took the truck and he stayed in it and then we went to walmart and I did the little bit of shopping while he stayed in the truck. He told me straight out he's concerned about catching it so that tells me he is very, very concerned. He's got diabetes and COPD and he's 66 so definitely in the danger category. Chelsea got word that the teachers do not have to go in to school for the next few weeks. They were going to go in twice a week for a few hours each time but after the governor ordered the stay at home order they canceled school for the teachers too. EJ is doing well, he got most of his homework done way before it was due and Chelsea didn't even need to tell him! They came over the other night and he made the meatloaf for dinner. He did it all, I just supervised. He's loving learning how to cook. She's had him for a year and a half now and he has matured so much during that time. We've seen a big big improvement in his emotional maturity. So far work has no cases. Completely closed to the public now. Even the oxygen companies aren't allowed in. They have to ring the bell and exchange the empty for the full tanks at the front door. EVERYTHING is wiped down and disinfected before it goes past the front door. I shudder to think what would happen if it gets in there. Average age of our residents is about 90. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds good Lee! All of our residential care and nursing homes are doing the same thing. Please continue to stay safe hon! I am sorry if I offended anyone complaining about the hours that stores are setting aside for seniors.
I should have explained it a bit better.... it was mostly meant to be a joke I am NOT an early riser... Someone might call me.... ahem.... lazy
On the other hand, Leonard who is a year older than me ( 75) is up by 4 AM almost every morning!
What is he crazy???
I am 'joking'
No I think it is very thoughtful, compassionate etc, that stores are 'trying' to 'protect' seniors
But did I mention... I am lazy???
I would probably just starve first
and.. whereas when Leonard wakes up
he opens his eyes.....and tada he is up!
Me....not so much.....
It actually takes me at 'least' an hour before I am truly 100% awake
Eventually, I will turn on a light right by me... but that does NOT mean I am awake!!!! Don't even dare to try to talk to me....just because I turned a light on
Nooooo maybe in another 15 mins.... if I don't just fall back to sleep
But also, it takes awhile to get circulation, and all the aches and pains to get to a hopeful dull roar.....
I am sorry to have sounded so ungrateful
I forget, that not everybody has the same 'stick' (sp? the Jewish word for a silly routine)
it's what Leonard and I do we deliberately will often exaggerate things....toooo be silly, funny, off the wall, out of control.....
It's just a silly thing we do to make each other laugh
And I forgot, that no one here has any idea, especially on a board such as this. who would know?
So I apologize..... it is true, tho, the early hour would not work for me and yes a later hour and everything would be picked over
soooooo like I said.....I will probably just starve if it comes to that
Did I mention, I have a 'princess' syndrome ....or maybe its an only child problem? Hummmm
But seriously, it is very hard for me to get up early....
but maybe if I could just get my eyes open, I could down a bottle of pain meds and be good to go! ( not I would not do that, but I might could.... take one extra pain pill?)
( I was Just joking...about taking a lot.....some days tho I wish I could be free of all pain for a wee while but I was just exaggerating for a silly/dumb effect)...
I have to stop that huh? Sigh!
I get it.... people do not see it as funny....but complaining, and pathetic.
But I totally agree President Trump is having to deal with an extraordinary situation, and unprecedented....I think he is doing a great job
will mistakes be made....might be
but the man never gets a break ever no matter what he does I don't think any President ever has had to deal with soooo soooo sooooo much criticism every single day after day after day!!
And yes, he can say things that sometimes ( like me) might have best be left unsaid But then, he is.... from New York ( Opps.... that a joke too....)
as a New Englander, by birth...picking on New Yorkers comes with the territory
But strangely....
RI IS going to be 'hunting' for New York folks..... so I read in the news...fake???. a get outta here policy or rather self isolate for 2 weeks if you stay. Barbara, you don't have to be sorry or apologize for anything you said. You said nothing wrong and neither did I or anyone else. Everyone Is allowed to have their own thoughts and beliefs. Yes, the grocery stores are doing the best they can, but I still say they should reconsider the hours they've chosen for seniors. There's no reason at all that they couldn't include one hour in the afternoon as well. It's not just you that has problems getting up Barbara. I do as well. and I happen to know there are a great number of others who do as well. None of them will be able to use those shopping hours either. Good morning I have been thinking that it would be nice here on this forum if when we chat that we add in a scripture of interest to us, of what we are thinking about that day, as most of us read the Bible. I think Catholics don't read the Bible so maybe Seven can post the news for us in the news area. So much news happening, I have noticed tornado this morning, happening so often. Here is a scripture from me for today. Hebrews 10:24 Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. I am excited to listen to a Bible sermon this morning, nice that I can miss the actual time but can get to it an hour later or whenever. I sure do like having the internet access. I have to go for now but look forward to commenting about what I enjoyed hearing today about the scriptures. love you Barbra love you Cheryl I think that sounds like a great idea Marlene, thanks!
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:2–3)
One neat thing that this virus has done is now I can participate at church with everyone else, since the service is streamed live each week now! That's wonderful for me!
Cheryl, I won't quote all of what you said as it's way too long. Please understand that while you are certainly entitled to your opinion, there are other opinions that are just as valid.

I do not see a New Christian Chat /Fellowship thread. All I found was a news chat thread that is outside of the News forum. So this thread doesn’t need closing, as we don’t even have 250 posts on it yet.

Running late as I slept late today.
Kelly, I locked the other thread for you.
Here's my scripture:
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.” (Habakkuk 3:17–19)

Good morning Cheryl, I am glad you were able to laugh, when laughter is like medicine, I like to laugh like that also, before I got married I lived under stressful conditions and had ill health, after I got married I watched funny videos and at first forced myself to laugh, I kept doing that and my health slowly improved and I got stronger, so then I was able to go to work, but I waited until I was 29 years old to start working and I am glad I did, then I worked for 20 years, but not steady at one place, was able to travel and I am glad we traveled.
Cindy, I like the scripture from the book of Habakkuk. I have to start reading that book, don't know the last time I read that book. Colossians 1:17 He is before all things and by Him all things consist.

Those shoes sure are different Lulu. I bet they'll get a lot of attention too! (well, once things are back to normal anyway). When was your birthday? I'm sorry I missed it! I sure hope you had a great day though!
I'm reading Zephaniah now Marlene, and these last 11 books (all from Daniel on) have been amazing. So much is like it was written for our time, as far as people doing the very same things that the Israelites did goes. And of course knowing what God is going to do to judge us, is pretty disconcerting. It makes me want to run out and beg people to repent.
I started this thread for you guys with some very interesting information. The Corona Virus...facts not panic and A Prayer for covid 19 they're both in Christian Chat.
I can't remember if I told you guys that Bruce put a couple of game cameras in our yard. It's been fun seeing what the animals do while we're asleep. The cameras get our whole yard including the area the kids have turned into their "fort". Apparently the animals especially like their fort! We knew that the deer came around fairly regularly, but now we've found out that it's almost every night. I wish I could figure out if it's the same herd or not, but so far we haven't been able to tell for sure. There's also a fox that comes by once or twice a week. We had only seen him once during the day though! Then there's the raccoons that we knew about, and of course the squirrels and chipmunks and all the birds. (one camera is down low to the ground so it picks them up) I'm hoping we'll catch Mr Bear this spring when he wakes up. We know he comes by every year. In fact just about everyone in New Ipswich knows what route he takes each year. Maybe we should name him Mr Reliable LOL.
Oh I have to share with you what my granddaughter Gracie told me when she called last night. It was all I could do not to cry until we'd hung up. She told me she had to write an article about a relative so she picked me. She said some very nice things about me that I only wish were really true, but I'm glad she sees me that way. I loved one of the things she said though as it made me laugh. She said that she loved the way I spoiled them and that I'd told them it was the parents job to discipline them and the grandparents job to spoil them. (yes I did say that to them some time ago lol) Then later she said that I "hardly ever" disciplined them LOL so at least her teacher will realize that I only spoil to a certain point! It's true, I hardly ever discipline them, but that's because I rarely have to. They practically always do what I say. I only occasionally have to remind them that I mean "now" and not an hour from now lol. Anyway, I was so touched by all the sweet things she said. I wish I could get a copy of it. I'll have to ask Jenn if there's anyway we can.
I sure do miss seeing them. Bruce does too.
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4–7)
