Our daughter Hossanah is the manager of a dollar tree 2 towns over ( she has to drive there each day but it only takes about 15 minutes)
Anyway, they are doing a booming business, because they have food, various OTC medicines, etc etc.
However, about 6 of her employees quit as they were over 60.
So yesterday she hired 4 more, but will need to hire another 2 or 3 because they are soooooo busy busy.
In fact, we will be taking her to work today, ( because she is closing so does not go in until 2 in the afternoon).
We will pick up a few things while there.
But like Cindy's daughter, she is taking a risk also and has 2 children with asthma...tho I don't think Devon has had to use the nebulizer in a year or 2.
The weird thing is...none of the little towns on our Oregon coast has any person infected with the virus......
yet.....
But.....
Last weekend it was bumper to bumper cars of people from Portland etc. coming to the coast.....
Actually, now all our little towns ( plus even our super liberal democratic governor) has banned that ( for now).
That might sound totally unfair
But the two reasons are:
We only have a few tiny tiny hospitals here ( many with only 20 beds...IF that many each???)
And almost every coastal town has a majority of older folks....
I think I just read that Manzanita has 800 local residents and that over 90% are 60 or older.
Seaside has maybe 6,000 plus residents but also many are older.
Before school shut down, Devon got his 2 semester grades....this time he made all A's.
And to think a few years back they were thinking he was a slow learner....he is now above grade level in everything.
In fact, last year he was chosen to read his short story in Portland, for young and upcoming authors LOL
We remain at peace knowing this has not taken God by surprise....and in fact, may be just a little preview of end times.
 Please tell your daughter that we're very grateful that she's willing to continue to work so that others can get the things they need.
That's wonderful that Devon is doing so well in school too!
I tell you what though. I'll be "looking up" constantly from now on! In fact, if we needed to pack a suitcase, I'd already be packed!

Wow, my internet is really bad today. I lost my post due to it being so slow. fearnot I had replied to your post Barbara. I'm sorry I didn't see it yesterday for some reason.
Please tell your daughter that we're very grateful that she's willing to work so others can get the things they need. I'll be praying the Lord will protect her too! (but then I always pray for your family anyway lol)
 It's wonderful too that Devon is doing so well in school. It will serve him well if the Lord tarries, and even if He doesn't tarry, because I know he's using his abilities to also learn what God's Word says, and that will pay off for him no matter what! He must be such a huge blessing for you!
Our Governor announced last night that all businesses except those that are essential, must close down after work today. So I guess that will make Bruce out of a job until the governor lets them go back to work. I wish he hadn't had to do that, but I guess it's better to be safe then sorry.
Oh the grocery store we use announced separate hours for the disabled and those over 60, (we meet both criteria lol) but the hours they are giving us to shop during is from 6am to 7am. Are they insane??? I'll be in bed or just getting out of it. 
Well after all this, I guess we'd better be shining our crowns  and watching the sky, because we should be seeing Jesus and hearing Him call us up to join Him any moment now!
 I know Loretta, Marianne, Pastor Richard, and the many other members of our board that have gone home ahead of us, have planned a fantastic get together for us all at some point after the rapture. I'm sure it won't be immediately as we'll all be too busy actually being with our Lord and loving on Him, and with family etc. Knowing them, they probably asked the Lord to choose the time, so it will be perfect for us all!
So keep on looking up! We'll be going home soon!

but....

shop at any time.....
This is just IF they want to be safer
and also...
she can't really stop anyone younger people, from coming in and shopping at that hour
But they do have a notice posted on the door, explaining what the hour is for and why etc..
Surely my very own daughter ought to know better than to think I could ever ever be up and shopping by 6 in the morning
I would have to get up by 4 AM ....

You know what I was resort order on Amazon.com for paper towels yup I am desperate I prefer go to Costco once every four months when I am a home since I have small household that usually these days forgetaboutit so I got roll of paper towels and toilet paper from Amazon.com

The last time I was at a grocery store I was waiting behind an older man about my age at the courtesy counter, when he turned around a just starred at me, the only thing I thought of as why was because I was standing to close to him, I was about 3 feet away from him, so I backed up to about 5 feet away from him, then when he was finished talking to the employee, he turned and stood there starring at me, so we were looking at each other and then he finally walked away, well that was annoying, don't know what that was about, I am not a mind reader and I was not interested and asking.

That was creepy, Anna. I would have been checking the parking lot on my way out, to make sure he wasn't waiting for me. He might have been assessing you for human trafficking for all you know. These days, you can't be too careful! Please come Lord!!  
Lulu, I will stop holding my breath until I know you are safely out of that God Forsaken state. And I didn't use the Lord's name in vain. I used it in the way God promised what he'd do. He promised to give over the sinnly desires that the people embrace, and that time has sure come. If it's not come yet, then it's got a pretty good head start.

Also that is very sad Seven that people would blame Asians....I am not sure about the China communist leaders.....I could see they might have been slow on the letting the world know what was going on, but really that is just speculation, and it seems other governments that are not communists might also be fudging the truth.....
For all I know, our government could be doing the same.....
maybe not quite like the Chinese Communist Party.....but still

They care about the elderly, and you all
know, as well as I do that they are trying in their uneducated way, to
help the elderly, and the disabled. These are people who do not have a clue what it is
like to be disabled, and part of the older generation. These are people who are so concerned about offending or being offended, that they don't see the forest fer the trees. But, what do you suggest? That they pick a time that is right smack in the middle of the day, or after hours, when most items are already picked over? The whole reason that they are all doing this FOR the elderly and disabled, is because there was a surge of panic, and they were being pushed around, and physically abused, and the stores are trying to protect a vulnerable population. Let's just all be thankful that they are trying to do anything at all, for our geriatric and disabled populations. Let's be grateful that they are giving us first pick on the produce, and necessary items, before the crowds hoard them all up. We are always complaining that they don't do enough, and now I'm reading complaints that they are not doing what they can, according to our schedules? Listen to yourselves! I am ashamed. 
I love you all, but am very disappointed right now.   
I don't like Amazon. Never did. I have bought from them, but ONLY if no one else carries it, and ONLY if the price is WAY lower than anyone else. And that is VERY seldom.
Cindy, you asked how am I doing? Read everything that I've written above. I'm just getting through. And praying for these people, every day. Am I still working? And the catholic cult doesn't make the rules. Churches and all gatherings are banned, because it's the law right now, to keep people from spreading the virus, further. And yes, people can celebrate, right in their own homes. Even if we are alone. I have spent the last 3 Christmases and Easters, alone, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, for me. God is with me, and it's all about GOD. Not about ourselves, except how we perceive it to be.

Hi all,
I live in the biggest land based valley in the world (I know weird huh) which is located here in southern Colorado and we have now got a case in every county in our valley. I have grounded Stan! lol He is allowed to go to work and then come straight home. I'll be doing the shopping from now on. He needed gas for his truck so we took the truck and he stayed in it and then we went to walmart and I did the little bit of shopping while he stayed in the truck. He told me straight out he's concerned about catching it so that tells me he is very, very concerned. He's got diabetes and COPD and he's 66 so definitely in the danger category.
Chelsea got word that the teachers do not have to go in to school for the next few weeks. They were going to go in twice a week for a few hours each time but after the governor ordered the stay at home order they canceled school for the teachers too.
EJ is doing well, he got most of his homework done way before it was due and Chelsea didn't even need to tell him! They came over the other night and he made the meatloaf for dinner. He did it all, I just supervised. He's loving learning how to cook. She's had him for a year and a half now and he has matured so much during that time. We've seen a big big improvement in his emotional maturity.
So far work has no cases. Completely closed to the public now. Even the oxygen companies aren't allowed in. They have to ring the bell and exchange the empty for the full tanks at the front door. EVERYTHING is wiped down and disinfected before it goes past the front door. I shudder to think what would happen if it gets in there. Average age of our residents is about 90.

I had car chase half hour ago only KCAL 9 carry it they haven't post it on you tube it was crazy this dude was on 110 to 105 to 605 they caught the perp in Bellflower you know what trouble expired license plate
it go to show you about LA even in so called stay at home order we LA Folks can't keep our criminals in check they got do stupid stuff and expose to LA COUNTY Sheriff to corona virus

BTW some of LA Cathoic churches I may goof on it on certain forums they having live stream of services some of them are I know the church that my parents goes to have lifestream only for 6:30am mass and 8am Spanish mass
Here in SO CAL we have Cathoic mass for homebound so I think WGN America show it for national audience but here in SO CAL we have on KDOC tv 56

whereas when Leonard wakes up
he opens his eyes.....and tada

It actually takes me at 'least' an hour before I am truly 100% awake
Eventually, I will turn on a light right by me...
but that does NOT mean I am awake!!!! Don't even dare to try to talk to me....just because I turned a light on

Any of you has pets my mother chiludrea dog I think having issues with anxiety anytime I am at other side of the house he want be near me I think he getting vibes from my brother wife she is scared over coronavirus she freaking out everytime she come over I think he think OH MAN if Kelly dies who take care of me forget the Mom or the dad who who its original owner he freak out

Good morning
I have been thinking that it would be nice here on this forum if when we chat that we add in a scripture of interest to us, of what we are thinking about that day, as most of us read the Bible. I think Catholics don't read the Bible so maybe Seven can post the news for us in the news area. So much news happening, I have noticed tornado this morning, happening so often. Here is a scripture from me for today. Hebrews 10:24 Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. I am excited to listen to a Bible sermon this morning, nice that I can miss the actual time but can get to it an hour later or whenever. I sure do like having the internet access. I have to go for now but look forward to commenting about what I enjoyed hearing today about the scriptures. love you Barbra  love you Cheryl

There is some Cathoics read the bible it not forbidden I know I did even I was in Cathoic faith when I was teenager back in da day it like if you get old school Italian priests or nuns it not in Latin they frown on it I knew few Cathoics that do read the Bible they not in faith any more they kinda broke away from Christian faith became atheists and agonsitcs

It's wonderful too that Devon is doing so well in school. It will serve him well if the Lord tarries, and even if He doesn't tarry, because I know he's using his abilities to also learn what God's Word says, and that will pay off for him no matter what! He must be such a huge blessing for you!

I totally agree, lol. It makes me feel like they really don't care about the elderly, but want to look like they do so chose the worst possible hours there are. 
I am a Trump supporter! I support my President! And he is doing the very best he can, under very difficult circumstances! WE are not blaming American Asians! The LIBERALS ARE! Get that straight. WE are concerned about ALL AMERICANS. It's the LIBERALS who insist on opening up the borders and allowing every Tom, Dick and Harry waltz right on in, and spread whatever hate and disease they want to. And the liberals blame the Republicans and Trump supports alike. I don't care if liberals don't like what I know to be the truth. It is the liberals who are spreading hate. I'm not hateful, I am ANGRY! I am angry, because just because I have a difference of opinion, than the liberal population, then I am at fault, and that I am spreading hate?!!! Well, guess what?
