Sorry guys, but I don't know enough about movies, old or new to discuss them. I didn't watch much TV or go to the movies much even as a kid. Bruce watches western and war movies, but I generally just read my books. I do enjoy the Christian ones, and a few others that I've seen over the years. But not enough to discuss them as I have no clue who acts in anything. I've never followed actors or "stars" either, so don't know anything about them. 
The kids wound up coming over yesterday instead and brought a couple of their friends with them. They all had a good time and ate a ton of spaghetti for dinner. I'm still recuperating, but it was fun!

I won't be watching Jim Baker.
Something gross happened to me this afternoon. I sat down on my bed and put my hand down on top of a locust bug, that locust bug was a huge bug about 4 inches long and it bit the palm of my hand, Ron caught it and threw it out the door. Thing is I have not yet seen locusts outdoors yet, maybe I will see them in a few days, but I have never seen a locust bug that big.

Something gross happened to me this afternoon. Boy this has been a crazy week. Different anyway, mainly due to my schedule just being so mixed up. But yesterday I had a wonderful surprise visit with my old neighbor. I'll be so glad when she can finally return home. She's been living with her Mom for the last year and a half. Her mom is 97 and now has alzheimers, so he had to go take care of her. He son is living in her house here until she can return.
Next week Bruce finally sees the doctor to find out about the MRI's and what the plan will be to fix him.
I'm excited too as I'm going to be part of what our church is putting on for the town of Jaffrey on August 10th. It's called JaffJam and is basically just a big party. We'll be giving away back packs for the school children who can't afford them, and they'll be filled with school supplies. There's also be a great children's Bible in the ones for the younger kids. There'll be face painting, a bouncy house, live bands, lots of food and drinks, (no alcohol though!) prizes to be won, and lots of other stuff. Best of all, it's all free to anyone who comes. I'll be collecting tickets (which are free) for something. And no we won't be shoving Jesus down anyone's throat. Instead we plan to just be Jesus to each person, young or old; to serve them and love them as best we can. This is something the church does every year and people really look forward to it.
Then there's our Children's Fair. I plan to go this year again, finally. But I'll have to be in a wheel chair. I haven't been going because it's just too painful and I can't enjoy it when in that much pain. So this year I get to ride! And of course our anniversary is also in August.

Cindy, JaffJam sounds like it will be a fun event for you to go to; like face painting and bouncy house, oh not for you lol, for the children. Free food is always nice, you won't have to cook when you get home. You will have to tell us about the children's fair, that sounds like fun and good that you will be in a wheelchair and comfortable to be able to enjoy.

Seven, did you ever see the old movie Blade Runner, actors Daryl Hannah, Harrison Ford, and Rutger Hauer. Rutger Hauer died a few days ago, and last year Daryl Hannah, who once dated John F Kennedy Jr., about the time she acted in the Blade Runner movie, about the year 1986, she married Neil Young. John F Kennedy Jr. married another woman, together they flew at night in his airplane to get to a wedding the next day but there was a storm and their plane crashed in the water and all died. Anyways back to Rutger Hauer here is a trailer of his best acting in Blade Runner, the end scene.

 Mornin,or afternoon everyone.....took today off, yesterday was a very frustrating day at work....I refused to sign off on a Boeing kit of 14 boards... back 4 months ago I let them know the travelers were all messed up...in wrong process order, missing processes, not enough information for tracking. I tagged all the pages, brought it to everyoneâs attention, nothing.....crickets....management pushed it through production....I did manage to stop production because of missing information, got that fixed, but not The travelers. now there are 9 boards half done, ready for the Boeing source inspect to come and inspect, now the boards are good...but the paperwork still is a mess, we did the best we could to sign off where we thought was the right places, got it mostly right...but still some of the process was out of order, so the dates went backwards on the traveler.... so I informed the people that I needed to inform that I would not sign off the final inspection.....Karl was suppose to be in yesterday (Boeing source inspector)....people stared scrambling to see what was wrong, argue with me and fix the travelers, and canceled Karlâs inspection. My boss got angry with me and said, cancel the source till we get another inspector đČ...I thought for sure he as gonna come back with my check and fire me...but he didnât, he came back with the engineer that was responsible for the messed up travelers....heâs the one I argued with for about an hour before he finely fixed the travelers....but they still needed red lines...thatâs when the engineer crosses something out....it needs to done in red and by an engineer... so again I let the persons responsible know and left the 14 travelers spread out waiting for Pat (the engineer).... Again crickets ..... so they are still sitting out on the bench at work, no idea if Pat followed through or not....đĄ at this point donât care! other news, our house is still on the market, there are a coupe familyâs really interested but no substantial offers as of yet...we are sinking, but really trying to hang on, we might need to ask the kids for help, that should be fun...đđ.... please join with us In prayer that this place sells wicked soon! Like NOW! So I guess Iâm frustrated on both sides of reality right now....  |

Speaking of Blade Runner I don't know if you knew this but Ripley Scott who did produce and direct Blade runner was inspriated by the movie 1927 Sci fi silent classic Metropolis by Fritz Lang if you look at Blade Runner he kinda ripped off ole Fritzie here yeah that diagloue scene was ab lib by Haguer he didn' tlike the line he said to script writer screw it I am do own my own lines rest is HISTORY

Anna, wow, that's a huge locust!! I hope the bite isn't something that is lasting, or will harm you!  I didn't know that Rutger Hauer died. Wow.

Happy to see you got to visit with your old friend. I hope that she can come home, soon, too. But, not for the reason that she would be, though.

I got to visit with two children, a few of days ago. My old neighbors, from the house. I needed to be in the neighborhood, for a different reason, so I stopped to see them and give them their birthday presents. I gave Lillian a new rod/reel set, with one of her favorite cartoon characters logo on it. (Frozen) I don't know........do they still call them cartoons? LOL, I'm so behind the times, And her mom told me that she likes bubbles, so I got her a bubble machine and 2 big bottles of bubbles, that might have lasted her to this weekend! And a purple jump rope. For Kamden, I gave him something that was near and dear to my heart, and know that he thought so too. I gave him one of Mr. Ed's fishing reels. And then I bought him a new rod to put it on, and some new fishing line. I wish it wasn't so late in the day, because part of my plan was to also take them fishing, and to the nature center. The nature center is a place where they house many of the rare breeds of all the indigenous animals and other critters in the area. Yes, even snakes.  The last time I took a child there, it was feeding time, for the snakes, so my sister's grandson really got a kick out of that. Me, not so much, but it was kinda' interesting. They were being fed live mice. 
But, they house a bald eagle, an albino deer, an almost extinct red wolf, turkeys, geese, raccoons, and so many other critters, can't remember them all. They also have an area where they attract butterflies. Depending on the time of year, there are hundreds of beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds, all around. LOVE IT! I don't know who gets more pleasure out of this........me or the kids! LOL But, the last time, I couldn't make the whole walk, so I just told my sister to take her grandson, the rest of the way, and plopped myself down on a bench, and told them I'd meet them later. What'd they do? Came up and sat with me! No,  enjoy it while you can. Sit on the bench later. LOL!
But, anyway, that's about all I'm up to these days, except that on my way home, I turned South and went to the lake, by myself and drowned some worms. There were a lot of May Flies fluttering around. I actually didn't need to buy bait. They make good bait. But, this is a weird time of year for them. Found out the next day that further South of Kentucky, they are around in the hundreds. (I need to read up on why that is) But, back to the lake....It was quiet and peaceful, and I spent some time with the Lord. It is also the resting place for my boys. So, I got to spend some time with them too. I got a few nibbles on my line, but didn't catch anything. It really isn't about the fishing, but about the "me time", and "God time". It started getting dark, and I couldn't see my bobber any longer, so I packed it up and went home. What a wonderful day it was. And the weather could not have been more perfect.

I like to watch silent movies like Metropolis, I can see how that movie from 1927, that futuristic city, inspired Riply Scott. I had wondered if the actress was Mary Pickford because she made so many silent movies, so I checked it out and no it was not Mary Pickford, maybe that movie was made in Germany, the two main actors were German.

Wow that is interesting, I did not know that, except I did know about Peter Lorre, I did not know that about Fritz had to make a run for it. You know who else was right along with them had to get to the US was Charlie Chaplain, they were looking for him and be barely got away.Have you ever heard the speak Charlie Chaplain gave about freedom, it gave me the shivers listening to it, it is a moving speech.
I have a few DVDs of Peter Lorre as the character Mr. Moto, and also a few Charlie Chaplain DVDs.

Lulu, praying for you that you would be strengthened and that your house would sell.
My daughter and her youngest son were here this afternoon and it was great to visit with them. Tomorrow they fly back to Alabama.
In September we're moving to another apartment within the retirement complex. I just can't take the noise from the trucks and all the dirt from the parking lot anymore. Started packing already.

Wow that is interesting, I did not know that, except I did know about Peter Lorre, I did not know that about Fritz had to make a run for it. You know who else was right along with them had to get to the US was Charlie Chaplain, they were looking for him and be barely got away.Have you ever heard the speak Charlie Chaplain gave about freedom, it gave me the shivers listening to it, it is a moving speech.
I have a few DVDs of Peter Lorre as the character Mr. Moto, and also a few Charlie Chaplain DVDs.
Lulu, praying for you that you would be strengthened and that your house would sell. My daughter and her youngest son were here this afternoon and it was great to visit with them. Tomorrow they fly back to Alabama. In September we're moving to another apartment within the retirement complex. Actually I finishing reading Creator of Babylon 5 J Michael Strankerisi latest memoir boy it was doozy apparently his father was anti semetric Nazi war criminal who mother was raped by her Russia cosscak granddaddy and through that he did Ancenstry DNA found out more war crimes in the skeltion of family tree OH BOY it was doozy seem that during Quantum Leap Joe had to break fight between Dean Stockwell who allegedly during film of QL episode Harlan was picking on then child actor Sean Murray you know Mcgee from NCIS she ole Dino deck him

Hi everybody!!
long time no see! lol Well I have seen some of you over on facebook. It has just been so busy between work, Spendng time with the family and puttering around the house. I just don't know where all the time goes. I've meant to come in and see you all so many times, I think about you guys almost every day. Hope all is well with all of you.
Stan is doing much better. He still has issues with his COPD, and diabetes of course but he had to have surgery on his foot for plantar fascititis and now that that has healed his feet are SO much better. Still has problems with the diabetic nueropathy in his feet but they are so much better than they were. He still working at my work as a breakfast cook at the assisted living facility.
Got some news about Nickie. He got remarried and he and his new wife Sonya live across the street from us! She seems really nice and Nickie is very happy and that's what matters. Of course it was bittersweet him getting married again but life goes on and we can't expect him to be alone for the rest of his life. He's a wonderful man and someday he'll make a great father.
Chelsea is getting ready for another school year. She got her professional teaching license this summer! She did have an alternative teaching license for secondary English. If you remember the last time we talked she had just become a foster mom. Well it will be a year the end of August and she still has him! We can't give any details of course but we are now able to refer to him as her son EJ on social media. He started calling her mom within a few weeks and she is for all intents and purposes his mom now. By Christmas Stan and I were Grandma and Grandpa. He and I had a rough start, he bonded with Chelsea pretty quick and she and I are close so there was a little jealousy on his part. I just stayed myself, didn't push him but included him in things and little by little he thawed and now we are very close. Its like he was always a member of our family and our grandson all along. This school year is going to be interesting though because he's going into 6th grade and his mom (Chelsea) is going to be his English teacher. lol
I'm doing well, still working and loving being a grandma.
I'll be back, hopefully it'll be sooner next time!

We have Monsoon rains now, so I have to be careful about roads that may be flooded. About what appeared to be a large locust, it looked like a grasshopper with wings and was an o d green color. I have looked around outdoors and have not seen anything around that looked like that bug. I have seen a few bugs that looked like nothing I have ever seen before and never saw again, this bug was one of them, when it bit the palm of my hand the bite did not break the skin, I was more concerned about how that bug scared me than I was about the bite on the hand, that was gross. One time I saw a large millipede in my living room years ago, that bug looked like it came from hell and I had that thought when I saw that locust type looking bug also.
In Los Vegas for the next two week they are being in invaded by locusts, people can't walk on the sidewalk without crunching them under their feet and other people say, what happens in Vegas can stay in Vegas. lol

That is what my colleague was watching on her phone. She said they were May Flies (something I mentioned in my last post), but they were the grasshoppers in Vegas. I streamed my news channel and saw a story on it. Amazing the loads of grasshoppers!
I was trying to do a search on what your grasshopper may have looked like and found more than I wanted to see. Several hoax photos, and one link that my malwarebytes blocked and said was a trojan, so I'm done searching this. LOL
OH I hear about grasshoppers is that sign of end times or what That's what I was thinking too.

I didn't know that Rutger Hauer died. Wow. 
The last time I took a child there, it was feeding time, for the snakes, so my sister's grandson really got a kick out of that. Me, not so much, but it was kinda' interesting. They were being fed live mice.
