Good day to you. We should be having Monsoon rain now, but not any rain yet, not enough to get the ground wet. I try to be outdoors mostly in the morning when the temperature is cool, I still put water out for the birds as I like to do bird watching in the morning. I have been watching you tube videos. Read the news feed this morning, now I am going to read news that is posted here. Looks like Daniel is on vacation.

I actually don't know where the jail is....we have a police station here, but I "think' the jail is in Astoria somewhere? That is a bit away from Seaside. They must either take folks directly to Astoria Jail or have a holding cell maybe here?
I looked at a ministry for Prisoners and the recommend this
PROVIDING BIBLES FOR PRISONERS
If a volunteer wants to provide a Bible for a prisoner, we do not recommend mailing used Bibles or even a new one directly to a prisoner since it will usually be denied.
Instead, the best way is to purchase a Bible online from a trusted vendor and have it shipped directly to the prisoner.
Sadly, that doesn't always work. I've sent Bibles to prisoners and the Prisons won't always let the people have one, and this was 20 years ago the last time I did it, so I'm sure it's worse now. We have to be careful of where we give our money because not all those places use all the money we send for the purpose they state they're going to. I always use Charity Navigator to check out a ministry before I send them money. But please understand, when I said that about putting a Bible there, it was only meant as a general suggestion, not something that every one should jump up and do now. Not all are called to do that for one thing. And not all can afford to do so. Only when God tells us to, is when we should do it. (by the way, I did eventually get that Bible to the prisoner I was sending it too - or rather, God did!) www.charitynavigator.org/
Well you know what Fearnot there is ministey in Alaska provided free bibles to prisoners, Alaskan natives even Russia navy I am so serious It called Bible for everybody I don't know they have website this when I was living in Alaska in early 1990s TV station still there in North Pole Ak that where Kiddies Christmas letter to Santa Claus that big time thingy up there outside Fairbanks AK Well today I been called Spoiler alert apparently Comet tv went back to beginning of Babylon 5 and Stargate SG 1 and I told my brother in law OH YEAH I knew Sinclair was Minbari leader Valen my brother said Kelly stop spoling it Yup I am spoiler alert don't go near me Thankfully I've seen all those so it's ok to spoil them for me!BTW it called Bible for others I found website I knew off hand they may or may not have website btw if you watch Last Alaskan on Discovery or Animal planet they talk about trapline chatter well this radio station that carry it www.mosquitonet.com/~kjnp/Bibles%20For%20Others.html Interesting! Thanks Seven....It's not so much the getting a Bible, as to the one prison ministry saying it would probably be denied.....I am 'thinking' the police themselves might be fine with it, and even welcome it....but in today's climate of so called church vs state, they may have their hands tied....and unless I knew the guys name, and asked for it to go to him, it might be considered......whatever and not allowed. And this is Oregon and we have a super liberal female governor and Portland is an hour or so away ( also super liberal....anti-Christian etc. etc.) Yep, I hear you. That's why I said that the only time to do it is when God tells us to, because then He will make it work out.I think that reason I know somebody in law enforcement they don't want to give bible out on that church and state you know what I was watching something on daystar they giving bible out to Palenstein prisoners in Israel maybe during Daystar Beg a thon There are many charities and organizations that give out Bibles to various people.Well today is in 90s I am in my AC conditioned house bing watching Incredaible Dr Pol on national geographic wild It's been in the 90's here for ever, or it seems like it anyway.
Good day to you. We should be having Monsoon rain now, but not any rain yet, not enough to get the ground wet. Some were pretty bad as far as theology goes.Personanly I like behind the scenes stories on tv show one that make those they are racist is CBS didn't want do original Hawaii Five O they try get all white cast but Lenoard Freeman fought for Asian actor to play Chin Ho Kelly
You're probably like the "xray" we have then on Amazon Prime for all the TV shows and movies and all our books (on kindle). It shows us all the behind the scenes stuff. BTW speaking of Little house if you watch on Cozi tv and Inspiration network they cut some part out in couple scenes including season 1 to season 5 like in syndication you rarely see There is no place like home when they move to busy town of Winkoa and when they coming back to Walnut grove I got Little House years that tv movie that came as Christmas movie year before went off the air also Little House pilot and Last Farewell Bless the children Yep, we saw those as well. I hated it when they moved to the town, but was glad when they came back to Walnut Grove.
This weekend was a hard one physically. Harder then usual I mean. I don't know why but I had a horrible time walking on Saturday and after doing a very short shopping trip, I couldn't walk at all for the rest of the day due to the pain. It kept me up that night too, so I wasn't much good on Sunday either. Oh well, it's back to normal now I think. So that's good.

I am happy to hear you are feeling a bit better Cindy.
Well speaking of TV and movies ( I no longer watch any....haven't for a year or two.....
But we all went to a guy friend of Hossanah(daughter) and Brian's (daughter's fiancee) for Devon's (grandson) birthday party.
This bachelor friend has about 9 ( I am guessing children and 4 were there for party)
However, he has one of those BIG screen TV and on it was a horrible Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie movie...I finally asked if we could turn it off as it was basically porn!!
Sooooo gross and the weird thing is I have been memorizing
Psalm 101: 3-4
verse 3 "I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. v. 4 A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil". I am not sure but I think everyone was afraid to ask ( not wanting to offend someone who may have liked it), but when I asked the 'host' was like OH Yes!! and off it went immediately!!
I mean besides it being horrible for adults, there were tons of kids running in and out.... mostly they were out playing, but being kids.... they were in for this and that!!
I know I so don't need that 'worthless' stuff in my mind especially when I need to keep my mind 'stayed' on Jesus not in that gutter....I had no idea that was kind of movies Brad Pitt and Angel made....I didn't 'think' they were probably great but this was disgusting!!!
The TV was situated so you could not get away from it.
At least for a time, I could hang out with daughter in the kitchen while she tried to clean up friend's kitchen to get the cake, presents and decorations ready... But that lasted only so long and back to the adults and so I had to speak up!!
The reason it was at this friends home is they had invited him to their home for Devon's party....but it was his weekend for 1/2 of his kids to spend with him......so because the children all get along well, it got moved because friend has a big house ( no way could they all fit in daughters place!!)

Was it Mr and Mrs Smith movie yeah that movie sucks seriously I hear from people on inside that worst thing that Brad Pitt is marry Angelie Jolie in real life she is basket case I quit watching TV because it seemed like at least 99% of it was really bad. I watch it more now as I can watch the much older shows that aren't nearly as bad. But even with that, I still probably only watch an hour or two at most a night and many nights I just read Christian fiction or Christian non fiction books. (books that I've done my best to be sure there's no false teaching in them).

I really enjoyed "listening" to everyone talking. I love watching television. But, like all of you have pointed out, there's 99% garbage on the tube, these days. And even some shows that I used to love, got really horrible, with the gay agenda. They are just shoving and shoving, until we choke! There's one show, in particular. It's called "Designated Survivor". It stars Keifer Sutherland. I really enjoy the work that actor does. However, his latest work is that show. I had to stop watching it, toward the end of the 2nd season, because I lost the ability to pay for actual cable TV (or dish), so I use ROKU, and I am 95% pleased with it. There's a LOT to watch. Even if most of it is re-runs, they were so good, they are worth seeing again. However, the Designated Survivor show was really great in the first 2 seasons. (basically, it was about the entire Presidential cabinet and ALL of congress, House of Representatives, & top designated survivors, being blown up in the Capitol Building, and Keifer Sutherland was WAY down on the survivor list, being just an ambassador, on his way out the administration door, when it happened, and he was made President.) Recently, I got the pleasure of seeing my show, and finish watching the 2nd season. BUT, in the 3rd season, they ruined it by centering the shows attention on homosexuality, and horrid cursing. I mean HORRID. Hey, I used to be a truck driver! And in the first episode of that 3rd season, I think I heard the F bomb more times than the 4 years I drove a truck!! And the GD phrase, which REALLY grates on my nerves. But, the straw that broke the camel's back was an awful, AWFUL sex scene! The show just flashed right into it, with absolutely NO warning, whatsoever! And I can't UNSEE it! It was so horrible that I will not even go into any more detail. I immediately paused it, and fast forwarded it, all the way to the end so it would not show up on the "continue watching" section and got out of there!! The neighbors probably heard me screaming!! (by the way.......Keifer Sutherland wasn't doing any of the cursing, and even though he is a good actor, the look on his face was genuine, every time someone dropped the F bomb. He'd flinch, every time. )
But, I think I'll stick to safer shows. But, one thing I did get to watch was a movie that I've been wanting to see for a long time. God's not Dead2. Wow, what a good movie. And also got to see the remake of Left Behind. VERY well portrayed, and gives a pretty good idea of what it will be like, when the Rapture happens. Made me cry, for the people who will be left behind.

If I could bottle it up, and send you some of ours, I would do it in a heartbeat. We had another monsoon type storm today. Well, several of them, back to back, with a tornado warning to go along with it. Thank goodness, no tornadoes formed, but we had about an hour, at work, to stay in the 'safe area', until we got the "all clear". Hi everyone! Good to see you 7of 9! Man you all have been talkative! We are having another open house, Iâm beginning to hate them, itâs like camping out in your house. I hate the *staging* but weâll do what needs to be done! No offers that we know of as of yet. Speaking about giving away bibles. I've never really thought about giving bibles at prisons. Is it not true that prison criminals find God, while incarcerated? I thought they had access to bibles, in the libraries, at the prisons.
But, I did give a bible away, one time too. I do not know whatever came of that act, but God knows, and that's what counts. A family was burned out and lost everything, and there was a donation drive for the children, for toys and clothes. They also gave the sizes for the parents, for clothing. I don't have children, so I put together a big box of clothes that were the woman's size for the Mom (my old 12's that I'll probably never get back into. lol) And some pants, shirts and shoes that were Ed's that he stopped wearing, for the Dad. And then, for no apparent reason, I thought of a bible that had been given to me, and few years prior, and put it on the top of the pile and packed it all up and took it over to the Red Cross station, where they were collecting everything. And believe it or not, our box was the only one donated to the parents. All the rest were children's clothes and toys. So, I was happy that we did that. And I had prayed over the bible, hoping that they would appreciate it, read it, and it would help the family.

We watched that show at first too Cheryl, but I think we stopped somewhere toward the end of the second season, thinking it was just getting to bad. That was such a shame. I know I haven't gotten around to posting the Christian movies and other movies we've watched and are watching, but I think I told you about one of Bruce's friends who came over and saw the home screen of Amazon Prime where it lists the many movies and TV shows. He got all excited and kept exclaiming about the movies especially saying things like, "Wow, that movie was just released this week, and that's a new one too!" He said that so many times during the next few minutes that all I could do was laugh at him! He was acting like a kid on Christmas morning! He ran out and got Roku that very week. I know that both Amazon Prime and Hulu (the old regular Hulu - the one for $5.99) have their own original new TV shows and movies. I don't think we've watched any of them yet though. Good day to you. We should be having Monsoon rain now, but not any rain yet, not enough to get the ground wet. I try to be outdoors mostly in the morning when the temperature is cool, I still put water out for the birds as I like to do bird watching in the morning. I have been watching you tube videos. That was a wonderful thing to do Cheryl! Others may have helped with physical needs, but you were the only one who thought of the most important need for anyone, especially for someone who had just survived such a tragedy. Bless you!
Most prisons do have a Chaplin who goes to visit the inmates and has services in the prison for them. The way I finally got a bible to one of the prisoners I sent one to, was to contact the Chaplin and got his help in getting it to the guy. Strangely, when I was much younger, I sent a Bible to an American prisoner in a Mexican prison, and they had no problem with giving it to him. Weird huh? But like I said, that was probably back in 1974 or so.

One you tube video I subscribe to is Townsends, a man who has an interest in the 18th century history,he dresses the part, cooks the food, goes to museums, reads letter from the 18th century etc., he is interesting to listen to, he said the reason why people like his videos is because they feel the disconnect of the outsourcing of their lives in this modern world, so while listening to him we can reconnect to history one nutmeg at a time. lol Two days ago he was showing how the people used to write with a feather and ink, and the next morning I found a feather outdoors. I almost never see feathers around here and especially not a white feather like this one is, I don't know of any white color birds around here, now all's I need is a bottle of ink. lol

I guess I've been fascinated by it since I was a child. I'd love to go to one of those "living history" events, where the people dress the part of the period and act out life during that time.

There was a "Desert" themed party here at the retirement center last night. A special guest was Humperdink the camel. He stayed in the courtyard, didn't come into the dining room. He was a Dromedary, a one-hump camel. I think he was the hit of the party. When I told my son about him, he reminded me that Wednesday was the perfect day to have a camel guest - Hump Day!

Obviously, I didn't list them all, but just the ones we've either already watched and enjoyed or plan to watch. have fun

I have Amazon Prime, glad to see the list of movies that are good to watch.
Cindy and Barbra, I have been reading the Bible, the book of Joshua and reading your comments in the Bible study. I was never interested in reading the book of Joshua but since you two are interested in it, now I find it interesting what it has to say. I don't feel like I have any comments though.
Cindy I like the prayer of the day, thanks for posting that.
Seven that is good news about Amazon, I haven't been watching yet so I don't know how many commercials there are when watching a movie, but I will check it out and find out.

Seven that is good news about Amazon, I haven't been watching yet so I don't know how many commercials there are when watching a movie, but I will check it out and find out. Glad I could help then! They also have a bunch that are apologetics type films, like ones that teach how we know the Bible is true and accurate even though it's so old, and others like that. I've got some of them in my watch list but didn't post them, as I was running out of time lol.
How wonderful to have you reading along with us! We did get sidetracked a little but we're back on target now lol. Feel free to join in if you do find you want to comment though!
I liked sharing those too!

Seven I never would have thought that Tom Hanks would be good at acting the part of Mr. Rogers, but the trailer surprised me, he seems to act the part well.
