Good Morning, Continuing to keep you and Bruce and all our members , here at FH, in our prayers. I am going to have a 5 day break , from work, starting tomorrow. Praise God ! I have been working 6 day work weeks for the past couple of years. I had a long talk with our team and as of May 1, I am going to a 5 day work week. Heck, I need to have a life and I am leaving for our tour at the end of May. Although, I still will be here, while I am on Tour. Shirley is so excited about being on the road, going city to city. Our first stop is Columbus, Ohio. We are spending a few days extra so we can visit my mom and friends that have died. So one day, is visiting cemeteries . I have not been home since 2011. I have 2 other brothers that live within a 10 mile radius of where my mom is buried. Would you believe that either one of them have gone to visit my mom? Unheard of!!! I had the cemetery, a week ago, Put a vase and some flowers on my moms grave. When I get there, I ordered a Tombstone to be delivered and placed for my mom. We want to be their upon delivery. So, now we are looking forward to it. We hope everyone has a good, rest of your day. wow Mark, that sounds exciting! Will you be driving yourself or will you be on a bus? You've been working hard. I'm glad you're cutting back to 5 days a week. I can't imagine how you've managed all that work! I'm glad you'll get to visit the cemetery too. Sounds like you have everything all planned out well.

Thanks for prayers, that is the best we can do for each other. I like the picture of the flowers, makes me want to go out and buy a lot of flowers and and a pretty pot to plant the flowers in. I am looking forward to Ron and I having communion this weekend, many pastors have communion services via internet, for people that don't have a church to go to.

I'm always a little embarrassed to post in here now, because it's so infrequent. I started reading through this chat thread the other day and got about half-way thru, and just now finished. It's always good to come "home."
Not a whole lot new with us. Still working for the optometrist (which I do enjoy)... it's supposed to be part-time, but over the last few months we've hired (and I trained) three other PT people and for different reasons none of them have worked out. We still have the third one, but she's on vacation so I've been working FT the last couple of weeks. She'll come back for about 5 more days, then we'll train another new person. This has been a slow week; I guess not many people want an eye exam during spring break week!
John's doing pretty well and still traveling all the time with his job. Anna, you mentioned communion - John said the deacons are going to visit some of our church's shut-in members on Saturday, to observe communion with them. I remembered a few years ago when Cindy was trying to find a local pastor to come do communion at her home, so I was glad to hear our pastor suggested this. It's not something I would've ever thought about if Cindy hadn't told us about her experience, and how much it would've meant to her.
My boys are keeping busy with work & dog (Timothy) and school (Daniel). It has been an extremely difficult semester for Daniel. He has two more weeks then he'll be a college junior. This is considered a 'weed-out year' and in fact he texted John and me during the night that he's going to need to re-take Physics 2. I think he's pretty discouraged because he has given it his all, but apparently he just does NOT understand enough to pass. Goodness I'm amazed that he has even gotten this far and will tell him there is no shame in repeating a course if that's what he needs to do. Plenty of students have to do that! He does have one more big test in Physics today - it's a 'make or break' test, but he must not feel confident about it. All he can do is his best.
Well, guess I'd better get up and start getting ready for another slow day at the office.

Iloveu all! Praying for you all! Love you too Lulu! I hope all is going well for you guys and that you're both feeling well. Hoping you'll be able to sell your house soon too and find out from others if you'll be able to move into that other house. Then again, maybe we'll all be moving into our Father's house soon instead! Yes, I was telling my daughter the other day that Gracie is going to have to start planting her flowers here sometime in the next few weeks. I know she's looking forward to that. That's great you guys will be able to have communion soon! I'm always a little embarrassed to post in here now, because it's so infrequent. Lorrie, it's always great to hear from you! It sounds like all is going well for you guys and that makes me happy. That's so wonderful that your church is going to do that. Not many do. Some will go to nursing homes occasionally, but very few if any try and seek out people that can't come to church and live in their own homes. Speaking of which, my pastors wife is coming over today and I can't wait to see her! I guess I'd better get dressed before she gets here though! Is John still looking for a different job? Should I not pray that he gets a different one?

We don't have any water here at the retirement community. We got a notice to tell us the water would be off from 2-4 pm but more problems came up so the kitchen was closed for dinner and we're not sure when water will be back on. There's a problem with the main water pipe from the city that goes into the apartment's main water pipe.
I always keep food and bottled water in the apartment so we have that. Several residents have told me that the same problem happened about a year ago. Good Grief! Wish we could move to another place but this is the closest to our son.
Lots of rain and wind here last night but no hail. Hope everyone has a Blessed Easter. Hugs.

Thank the Lord He reminded me! I almost forgot to renew the use of our domain name here. It's due tomorrow, and if I hadn't done it today, anyone coming here tomorrow would have found the board closed down.
I finally did something I've been wanting to for some time and it was so neat! I got one of those scam calls supposedly from microsoft saying my computer had a virus. It was a lady this time. She started her monologue, but I interupted her and kept saying, "Mam!" until she finally stopped and said "What?" I said, "Do you know Jesus?" lol She said, "What?" again, so I replied, "Do you know Jesus Christ?" She said "Yes." and started into her monologue again. So again I kept saying "Mam!" and she said, "You need to listen to me". I replied, "No, YOU need to listen to me!" So she said "What?" again. I replied, "Jesus is God and He considers lying a sin. You need Jesus!" There was dead quiet on the line for a couple of seconds and then she hung up!
I was so excited! I knew I hadn't done the best job in the world, but it was just off the top of my head and I felt it was ok for my first time. I asked the Lord to please use it to plant good seed in her heart that would bear the fruit of Salvation for her soon. And cause her to quit this job and get a legitimate one too!
I also found out something kind of special a couple of nights ago. I'd been praying for a lady before going to sleep and was concerned about her. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I discovered that I'd continued praying in my sleep for her, and was still praying as I woke up! I thought that was so cool! I've always prayed before going to sleep, and have even been woken up with an urge to pray for someone, but haven't ever known that I actually pray in my sleep before! I'm asking the Lord to allow me to keep doing that!

That's too bad Margie. Hopefully this will be the last time it happens though. I've got around 14 or more gallons of water stored in the house "just in case". it's come in handy any number of times!
Yep, Easter is tomorrow so I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day!

I was blessed to have communion during Passover, with pastor, Maylen and Terri, who were also blessed. Cindy, now I know how you are going to talk to telemarketers from now on. lol Good to read that your granddaughter is going to plant some flowers around your home, hopefully one day you can send a picture of the flowers. Was the pastor's wife able to visit you? I hope so.
It is good for everyone to have some extra water stored at their home.
Leigh, I hope your family is blessed together in church this Sunday and that there is communion there for your family to partake together.

Cindy, that was SO cool, what you did with that woman on the phone! She's in God's hands, now. You planted the seed and only God knows what happened.
That's also neat that you prayed while sleeping. I often pray before falling asleep. I also fall asleep praying, and have such a restful sleep, and find myself waking up thinking about that same person I had been praying for and continue my prayer. But, I don't ever recall praying while sleeping. That would be so cool!!
HAPPY RESURRECTION DAY, EVERYONE!!!

Leigh, I hope your family is blessed together in church this Sunday and that there is communion there for your family to partake together. Yes, Gracie loves to plant things. I'm so glad I started them doing that when they were toddlers. Yes, Stephanie came over and we had a wonderful visit. But then we always do. I'm so blessed to have her come over regularly! I can't wait for the next telemarketer to call me now LOL, but so far no one has! (and I normally get at least 4 of their calls a day!) It's so wonderful to be able to fellowship with our brothers and sisters... that's why I love to come here!

Hope you had a great Easter Cheryl! I wanted to call you, but was so busy constantly all day Sunday that I never got a chance. When the kids left last night, I was exhausted by then and not up to doing anything. Sorry about that.
But it was a great day for us all! I was hoping my son Christopher would come over with his girlfriend on Sunday, but they weren't able to. The good part for us was that they came over on Saturday for a surprise visit. I loved seeing them. He looks really good now!
Sunday we hid the eggs for the kids (the plastic ones I filled with candy). Since it kept threatening to rain, we had the kids find their eggs first thing when they arrived. It was a good thing we did too as the rain started just as they got their very last egg! (they each get 18). Since it was wet outside from the rain we'd had earlier, we couldn't hide their gifts like we usually do, so we just put them on the kitchen table. They opened those when they came in from getting their eggs. Bruce got the perfect pictures of Grace opening her gift! I wasn't sure how she'd feel about it. She had said a couple of times that she really wanted a rifle like Elijah's and wanted to learn to shoot, but still..... Now i know for sure it was something she really wanted! The picture of her face when she opened that pink camo rifle was priceless! The squeals can't be seen of course, but we sure heard them! Elijah liked his automatic targets that we got him. It's for nerf guns, but still good practice. After we had Easter dinner, Bruce took the kids out in the yard to shoot for awhile, until it started to rain again. then they came in and shot at his targets with their nerf guns.
Here's some pictures for you.
I love the look on her face! (she was looking at her grandpa!)
Gracie changed into shorts to play in, after getting her rifle.
See the little circle that's on the tree's roots? That's the target they're aiming at. It's a small paper desert plate with a rabbit on it!
This is the first time Bruce has been up to taking them out to shoot since his accident and they both did very well. Although they didn't hit the target yesterday, they did hit next to it. Not bad at all!

Good Morning everyone, its about 5 am and I hope everyone had a nice Holiday. Will be back on later! Again Good Morning and Welcome to a new day! I'm sorry to hear that Mark. I did too, but that's normal for me... especially after the kids have been here. Hope you're feeling better by now. I'll be praying!Happy Monday! we also had a great weekend. even had dinner with all the kids! was good to be with them all....and they bought dinner!
I'm so glad you got to spend Easter with all your kids, and them paying for dinner is even better!

Good morning, Cindy lovely pictures! Glad you shared pictures of you all's time together at Easter. When I saw the picture of Bruce I thought he reminded me of someone, then I remembered the photo of pastor Scott and he looks like pastor Scott. Busy day today for me, I am going shopping. That's great you'll get to see them Margie. I guess that's just how we Grandma's are, always making sure our grandkids have snacks available!
Bruce has been having migraines, and our cat Angel has been having a real hard time breathing, so I've been trying to take care of them both, and deal with my own pain too. Off to do that now....

LOVE the pictures!!!! I "heard" her scream from just seeing her face!
I got word from my old neighbor. Someone bought my house. At least it isn't going to sit there and rot away, and be unloved. I think that thought hurt me more. I'm waiting for my friend to walk over there and meet them. I just need to know if they are nice people. It needs nice people. I'm hoping and praying that the next time I drive by there, I will see that the woman (or man) of the house restored my gardens, and appreciate the loving hard work. I can only hope.

Good Evening FH, had a decent day. Did some chores, read, spent time with God, not all in that order lol. Just had a lazy day. Looking forward to tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great night. I like lazy days like that! Ours was kind of busy though. I got my regular chores done before Bruce got home from work, and then we had to do our grocery shopping. We didn't do it last weekend as the weather was horrible on Saturday and Sunday was Easter. We won't be able to do it this coming one either as it's our granddaughter Maddie's birthday and we'll be going to celebrate it with her. We had to go yesterday anyway to get more prednisone for Angel so we wouldn't run out. And that brings me to another testimony of how our God always pays attention to the little details even when we're not aware of it!
Angel normally only takes prednisone during the summer. I had enough left from last winter for about 3 weeks, but I always order the new bottle early just to be sure I have it on hand when she needs to start taking it. So I ordered it a month ago, but the pharmacy told me that the company that makes the kind she takes was out so it was back ordered. I wasn't concerned since we had what I thought was plenty. Each week I'd check, and they'd say, no it wasn't available yet. Angel normally takes one pill a day, or on real bad days she gets a double dose. Well She needed her first dose last Wednesday, but on Thursday she was doing really bad. I wound up having to give her 3 doses, and that continued through till this past Wednesday. Yesterday she was finally doing better and I only had to give her two doses. If you add all that up, what should have lasted for 3 weeks, she took in 1 week! Now I had to have that medicine! Well, last weekend, the pharmacy called me to let me know that they were finally able to order her meds and that they'd be available for us to pick up on Monday! (meaning this past Monday!) So God had it covered all the time and we were able to pick up her meds yesterday! I'm keeping an eye on Angel, but am hopeful that she'll only be needing one dose today and is back to normal.
Last week was a really tough one for all of us, with me, Bruce and Jennifer all in a lot of pain, and Angel having severe problems too. So I'm really hoping for some lazy days soon!

Good Morning FH, Shirley and I are having a movie weekend. She picks 1 , I pick 1. On Friday night , Shirley picked Princess Diaries , so we watched 1 and 2 , only because I love my wife and it makes more sense to watch both of them. My pick was the New Left Behind with Nicolas Cage. Totally different approach from the Original with Kirk Cameron. So that was our Friday night Choices. Tune in later tonight for our Saturday Choices. until then , have a Blessed Weekend!

Sorry I have not been here for a long time. I have been having a very bad flare up for about 2 weeks, and have been fighting a cold and not sleeping well. However, I got caught up reading on all your posts. Loved the photos Cindy and how you talked to the scam caller!! I am still not feeling well and need to use what little energy I have left to work on the Bible study today.

I'm so sorry to see that everyone has been in so much pain, in this last long while. Many of my own issues are even coming back to haunt me. I've been dealing with a flare-up that I haven't had in a while. I can't take off work, because it really won't do me any good. I'll be in pain, whether I go to work or don't go to work. So, I just keep on keeping on. (I don't recommend my choices on anyone else, though.) I blame it on all this weird weather that we are all having. I'm not a scientist by any means, but I do think that the barometric pressure plays a HUGE role in chronic pain sufferers. I use my own pain issues as a measure for that thinking.
I had to fill out a questionnaire, this week for my health insurance. One of the sections dealt with "exercise". Wanted to know how much walking "exercise" I do each day. Those questions do not take into account any chronic illness or pain. (It's referred to as a "wellness" questionnaire) I filled this out, last year, and the results were not good. This time, I got to thinking.........'wait'......I go to the post office and walk 2 blocks, round trip, to do that. I get up and tend to my clients, MANY times a day. I walk the building to do things that I need to do for my job. I walk.......and I walk. So, I answered the questions accordingly. I do not "exercise", but I do have to move and walk and walk some more, no matter whether my knees, hips or legs allow this. I push on, just like I always have. When I get home, I do nothing now. I have used up all my spoons and then some. I got interrupted in the middle of the questions and haven't gotten back to them, yet, and the thing timed out on me, so I have to answer all of them again. I have to do this in order to keep my premiums down, but the questions are as if they are speaking to a healthy person. It really isn't fair, truth be told. But, it is what it is.
I will continue to keep everyone in my prayers, including Angel. Only our Lord and savior can and will protect us from whatever is hurting us. HE is why I keep on, keeping on. Because I know He is there, watching, protecting and loving us.
Over Easter, I watched "The Passion of the Christ" for a second time. The first time, I don't think I was able to get through all of it. Because there are parts of it that I don't remember paying attention to, before. But, it really drove home what I've known all along. That Jesus Christ suffered unrelentingly at the hands of His persecutors. He also warned us that if He is hated, then we would be hated also. So, if He suffers, we will suffer also. If He was persecuted, then we will be persecuted also. If He was in excruciating pain, then we will be also. Jesus is Who keeps me going. Jesus didn't give in, so neither will I.

Good afternoon FH, Shirley and I chose to watch Every episode of Fuller House. For our Saturday selections. Today we are going to watch 2 movies, both are classics, 1 Oklahoma which is her choice. My choice is, Singing in the Rain. It's kind of a Classic Turner Moment. Lol. I hope everyone has a great day.

I like the movie, Singing in the Rain, Fred Astaire could dance so gracefully, as could Gene Kelly who also danced at that time.

Another hellish week for us. Bruce is still suffering from awful head pain, migraines...whatever. He only worked two days last week because of them and they got so bad that I had to call the ambulance for him late Friday night. It took them about a half hour to get here and by the time they were done examining him and were starting to take him out the door, the pain started to subside. So they stayed with us until he was feeling better and then left. That was good because I had no idea how I was going to get us home from the hospital. There were no lights on at our neighbors house, and I knew Jenn would have to find a babysitter for the kids if i called her and woke her up to come and get us. You guys know that Bruce has a very high tolerance to pain. I've told you how he screwed his finger to a metal pole one time and then had to back the screw out. Afterward, he put some duct tape around it and continued to work the rest of the day. (and he was working at the hospital at the time, but wouldn't get it checked out! The pain in his head gets so bad though that it has him in tears! He never cries because of pain, never! Not at any time after the accident when he was half dead with lots of broken bones, puncture wounds, and other stuff. It breaks my heart to see him go through this and nothing helps the pain. All I do is pray and pray and pray, and of course try to help him but rubbing his back or massaging his head and face, or anything else I can think of.
All this is to say, that I would surely appreciate any prayers that anyone thinks to offer up for him this week! He needs healing badly! I remember the Princess Diaries, I enjoyed those too lol. Funny, Bruce found the Left Behind movies on Amazon Prime for us just a few days ago too, but we haven't had time to watch them yet. Hope you're starting to feel better hon. I'm going through the same thing so I know how you feel. I don't know if mine was brought on by stress or not, as this is the normal time I go through a flare up, but I suspect it's lasting longer then normal because of the stress as it's already been two weeks.
Thank you for your prayers Cheryl, you're such a blessing! She's finally doing better, praise the Lord! Yesterday she finally made it 24 hours between doses, so is finally back to "normal" for her meds. She's obviously feeling better too. In fact, she's here with me now, bugging me for treats! I know what you mean about those questions. The doctors ask about exercise all the time too, and it's the same way. No, I don't exercise. I can't walk, and take as few steps as humanly possible. Cheryl, I wanted to call you this weekend but couldn't because Bruce was in so much pain and I was constantly caring for him. I had to keep the house completely quiet too, as any noise bothered him. Hopefully this coming weekend I'll be able to. Good ones! It's funny, cause I started making a list of our favorite shows that we watch just a few days ago too! I'll share them with you all one day soon. Keep in mind though that we don't watch regular TV and haven't for a couple of years now. We have Roku and absolutely love it! We don't miss regular TV at all! I like the movie, Singing in the Rain, Fred Astaire could dance so gracefully, as could Gene Kelly who also danced at that time. Me too Marlene!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!
