Hi all, That idea of standing in front of the tv to ask hubby a question reminds me of a story about my moms parents. Grandpa loved to look out the picture window in their living room to see the neighbors comings and goings once he retired. It was so bad we couldn't even put the Christmas tree in front of the window because it would block his view. One day Grandma's dryer broke down and she told Grandpa they needed to get a new one (they could definitely afford it) but he didn't want to so he told her to use the clothesline. They lived in AZ about 50 miles outside Phoenix and it was summer so the clothes would have dried very quickly but Grandma had arthritis in her hands and knees really bad so she decided she would use the clothesline, just not where grandpa expected. She put it up in the middle of the living room so the clothes were hanging between his chair and the living room window blocking his view of the neighbors. He got his shoes on, told her to get in the car and they drove to Sears and had the dryer installed that very afternoon!
Not much going on here. I've been sick all week. Took a couple days off. I've come to the conclusion I'm not supposed to ask the lady in the business office at work how much PAL time I've got. The last three times I have I ended up getting sick within a week or so. I asked her a week ago Monday and ended up getting sick this past week. Last time I ended up getting pneumonia a week after asking. So thankful I got the pneumonia shot about 3 weeks ago or it would probably have happened this time too.
Next weekend we are going to New Mexico to a place called Meow Wolf. Its an interactive art/museum/light show kind of thing that we have heard a lot of good things about. We were supposed to go this weekend but Chelsea has a teachers work day on Friday and with me being sick its a good thing we postponed it. Her school has a four day week, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Mon-Thurs. She got permission to take The Kiddo out of state so we are all set for next weekend. Its kind of funny she has to get permission to take him to Sante Fe but not Denver and Sante Fe is a lot closer! lol
Stan's doing okay. He had to get half of his toe nail cut off yesterday as it was ingrown and with his diabetes and all it had to be taken care of of right away. He told the guy making the appointment that it was hurting a turning a slight purplish blue and the guy told the doctor that his toe was rotting off! The doc thought she was going to have to cut off his toe. How they got rotting off out of hurting and purplish blue we have no idea. Oh well.
Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs to all.

Hi all, last weekend was great, I was helping run a horse trials ( eventing ) and had a great time. How do you complain when you hear horses neighing all weekend? We dont live on a farm, but love horses....
Sounds like everyone has been busy. Been having a few hassles with our family, Dad passed away in June, but people are still processing it and its surfacing in many ways, some of which arent nice. We have eternal life, death still sucks though.
All the best,
Steve.

Good morning ladies, today marks a couple of life changing events in my life. I received a phone call a couple of days ago. My Father, has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and Colon cancer. He is 82. He told me that he wants quality instead of quantity. I called him last night and he told me that the cancer is in it's early stages. However, due to recent heart attack, he has decided on not doing the necessary treatments. I told him that God is in control and that Shirley and I love him no matter what. Prayers are always said for my pops. I know that he is a good, man and father. Just sharing this with you all.

lol Cindy, He did indeed have something planned! today is Leno's birthday, he's our Janitor, he's a wicked good man and takes very good care of all of us. Last year I put together a celebration for his birthday, this year the front office is putting it together...Adam got it going this year. they asked me to go around and get the cards signed and collect money, man, did I have a good day! just talking to every one and collected well over $100 for Leno...can't wait for lunch hour today! Last year I gave Leno a Gideon's bible in spanish for his birthday, I see him almost every afternoon break out side at the picnic tables reading it! does my heart good! Our God Is Good!
That is so totally awesome Lulu! I love hearing about your days!!!!I thought that was a funny and good idea too ( stand in front ot TV).....LOLOL We don't have a TV tho....just computers and it prob would not be a good idea if I ever were to try such a thing with my grumpy!!! Still, it was so funny, because I would never have thought of it ha ha! You have such a great mind Cindy!!! I'm not so sure my mind is great, but it is twisted LOL Lulu that is good to read about Jeno, 100 dollars will make a nice gift for him, God bless Jeno reading his Bible and how nice of you to have given him a Bible. Looking forward to reading about the Birthday party.
I was at chat in the middle of the night Tuesday night, I wanted to give praises to the Lord with others, but for that, I have to wait for a certain time of day during the week and that is what I usually do, anyway one man there was twisting scriptures to have the others get upset and it often works. Sadly two lovely women started arguing with each other and three of the people started rebuking each other but I typed out worship to the Lord and had a blessed time there but soon ended up being the only one there so I also left but I left feeling blessed.
I'm glad you were able to enjoy your worship time Marlene!

That's hilarious about your Grandmother Lee! I love hearing your stories! The museum sounds really neat, and something I'd love to see too. I'm sorry you got sick though. I'm glad that the doc only had to cut off part of Stan's toenail and not the toe itself LOL. Sometimes you just can't tell what they're thinking!Hi all, last weekend was great, I was helping run a horse trials ( eventing ) and had a great time. How do you complain when you hear horses neighing all weekend? We have eternal life, death still sucks though. All the best, Steve. I love horses Steve, and grew up with them. (I was born on a horse ranch in Arizona). Your job sounds great to me! Yes, it can be hard to process when a loved one dies. For some reason death seems to bring out the worst in some folks too which makes the healing process for them and others even harder. I hope you're hanging in there, and leaning on the Lord for comfort. He's the best at that!

That is sad Lulu. I'm sure it's true of many countries, as this is just another way they're trying to undermine our nation. But, God's Will will be done, so all I can say is Come Lord Jesus!
Oh, I keep meaning to ask you about Angie and her family that you asked me to pray for. I'm still praying but would love to have an update if you could give me one....

Has he come to know the Lord yet? I'll be happy to pray for his salvation and will do so until I hear otherwise. I think it's better to be safe then sorry! Praying for you and Shirley too!
OK, here's my latest update and why I've been AWOL. Bruce has been in pain all week and only worked on Monday. I've spoken to the nurse and am waiting for them to call me back as I've been at a loss of how to help him. The best we could come up with is that the PT is too much for him right now and is making things worse. The other possibility is that he may still need antibiotics as he had to stop taking the ones he was originally prescribed a month ago as he had a bad reaction to them so he only took them for two days. I have a feeling that's what they're thinking too. I honestly don't know if either of those things is it though. It's weird, and it's really getting Bruce down. I need to get back to him soon so can't stay long, but would sure appreciate any prayers you all could send up for him! God was reminding me today to give thanks and I am grateful that many of the things that were causing him pain have been healed, so have been thanking Him for that and for causing us to rely more heavily on Him. But I do think I need the help of others in prayer right now, so I'm coming to those I know I can count on. Thank you all, and know I'm praying for you as well!

Saying prayer Cindy, take good care of Bruce. Steve, I know the lingering sorrow of having a loved one die. I grieved for one month when my dad died and for one year when my mother died. Even though I liked my dad better than I liked my mom. My husband told me he also grieved more when his mother died. God bless your dad Mark, saying prayer. Lee God bless you and your family saying prayers for everyone here

My Father, does not talk to me, ever about religion due to he did not take it so easily that I am a born again Christian. However, by Jewish Law , it's a sin to be creamated and he told me he was being creamated when he dies. So it's questionable .
Cindy, please give Bruce a hug from Shirley and I. You both are always in our prayers.
I do apologise to all our members for not responding to your posts. Rest a sure I have never stopped praying for everyone as well. You are my family. Take care and God Bless.

Cindy a while back you asked about Angie and her family...Angie is the young lady only 12 i believe that has cancer. she is not doing well, the last word to come down was that there was nothing more they could do for her ...Her grandparents are hanging in there....her parents are angry
I've got another prayer request, Matt, Jess and Ashlynn went to AZ over the weekend to drop Jess off so she could help her Grandma...Eva.I don't know what they found but it wasn't good, Hospice has been called in and Matt will be staying long then expected, as will Ashlynn...
That's too bad about Angie's parents. I've been praying for them as well and will continue to do so. Thanks for letting me know. I'm sorry to hear that about Angie too. That's such a shame....
It sounds like Jess's grandmother isn't doing well either. I hope they're able to get everything taken care of there. I'll certainly pray for that situation as well.

Cold and rainy here. I've cleaned the 2 bookcases that hold hubby's books. I tole him and I tole him that we don't have room for so many books anymore. He said he would look through them to see which ones he really wants to keep.
If I could get rid of the many boxes of books we would have more room. But I am making progress in getting stuff put away. Our son was here yesterday afternoon and helped us with some projects. My daughter called. She's really busy on her house, painting mostly.
Hubby and I visited a church yesterday. The preaching is good. I've been listening to sermons from the pastor for the last month. We visited an older (ahem, better) adults Sunday School class and liked it. The only thing I didn't like was the music played during church. It's what I call "performance music," meant to be sung by professional musicians instead of a congregation with normal voices. And the lyrics were repeated over and over and over.
Hugs to all.

I had an interesting difference of opinion with the owner of a science discussion board.
My point was that satan is alive an well, and events like the Holocaust and current world events as we spiral down into the last if the Last Days , and scripture, make it very clear that the Devil is alive and well.
Well I was basically inferred publically I was a bit "weird", and labelled a "conspiracy theorist". Interestingly, there were a few anglicans on the board as well, but as soon as i mention sound biblical teaching, they distance themselves, which is disappointing as I thought peopke had more backbone.
Its hard, as I know I can be very rarely dogmatic at times, but sonetimes the truth just has to be laid out in a non confrontational way. Jesus said we'd be mocked and ridiculed for His sake, and now I can see what he meant.
Interestingly, Issac Newton who was a great man of science, was better known for his theological work than his science.....
