That sounds great Lee, Hope he can be adopted by Chelsea, sooner than later.
Well, yesterday Leonard, Devon ( 11 year old grandson) and I got baptized. It went well....I was a little nervous, in that I never have done anything in front of a lot of people, but the Lord was with me, and everybody was so kind. Plus, I was just so happy to finally do what the Lord asked!!!I wanted to show my love for Him.

I am so glad to hear you got good news about Bruce!!!!
So tomorrow we get baptized....
I am a bit nervous.....I don't ever do anything in front of a lot of people, so it will be pushing my limits that way....
but, of course, also excited and relieved to finally be getting baptized. How exciting! I can't wait to hear all about it! I hope you have someone there who will take pictures for you too!Hi all, I know its been a long time. Stan and I are fine. No real news there. Some of you may have seen on facebook Chelsea posting about "The Kiddo". Well it finally happened, she is now a mom to a ten year old boy and Stan and I are grandparents! Well Stan already was but his son and daughter live in South Carolina so we don't really get to see them and their kids. We do keep in touch through facebook though. Anyway, there is a social media blackout on him so I can't say a whole lot about him. He's ten, in the fifth grade and made for Chelsea I think. He's really bonded with her and with Stan and I as well. He calls her mom and he has called Stan grandpa just this past weekend. He's referred to me as grandma to Chelsea but not in my presence. It'll come with time. He's really clingy with Chelsea and has a bit of separation anxiety with her. Nothing that interferes with going to school or extra curricular stuff but he wants to be with her as much as he can and I am competition for her attention so as much as he likes me and we have a bond, there's still a little distance too. With time and counseling it'll work out. He's a great kid, a little emotionally immature but thats to be expected with his background. He'll be starting counseling again. He came from quite a ways away so they need to find one that he feels comfortable with in our area. He's a reader and a bit of a nerd like me and Chelsea. He likes playing video games and reading comic books and has a fascination with Titanic. He also likes sports and is playing in the basketball team for his age group. He also likes to hunt and fish, which we do a lot of. If things go the way we are all hoping they will, Chelsea will be able to adopt him. So its been a busy couple of months getting him all settled in. Its funny but I wanted a boy and got two girls. Chelsea put on the paperwork she preferred a girl being a single mom but would also take a boy and that's exactly what she got! lol But the good Lord knows what He's doing and neither one of us would trade our kids for anything! Had some time so I just wanted to check in and let you all know whats been going on. As always you are all in my prayers. How wonderful for you all Lee! It sounds so exciting! Now you all have a brand new child to introduce to the Lord and raise to know and love Him! How thrilling!
Nothing much new here except that Bruce starts physical therapy again today, this time for his neck.

Hossanah took about 30 sec videos of each of us That's great! I love having pictures and (in some cases) videos of when we were each baptized. It brings back such great memories when I look at them. I've also got the date we each were baptized on my computer calendar set so it will remind me each year. I've done that for me and Bruce and each of my kids, their spouses and my grandchildren. My great grandchildren haven't been baptized yet, as they're still babies. I like having the pictures to look at with my grandchildren too as it always allows me to bring up spiritual things to discuss with them.
That reminds me of what happened the week after Elijah and Grace were baptized... I can't remember if I told you all about it already or not.... They'd gone to a birthday party for a friend and when they got home they were quite upset. They told their parents that while they were there, everyone, both the adults and the kids were all swearing which bothered them a lot. Worse, they said their friends little brother, a boy of about 5 said a swear word and instead of getting in trouble, his father high fived him! Elijah confessed that they'd both wanted to go home within a short time of having got there, but didn't think it would be right so didn't ask to call their parents. What Jenn did next really surprised them though...she had a big grin on her face and shouted "Yes!"! Then explained herself by telling them that what they'd told her, showed her that they were growing in their faith and were growing in the fruit of the Spirit! After they'd discussed that, she assured them that they could always call and ask to come home when they felt uncomfortable like that. We all discussed it again together the next day at my house too. (which is why I know about it) Jennifer told them that they're reaction showed us that the Holy Spirit dwells in them and that can only happen if they're really saved, so that was why we were all rejoicing. It makes me want to sing and praise the Lord every time I think about it! half way there! and it's a Jazz of a Jazzy weekend. Works been going ok, slow once again though. you all have a great day!
I was wondering Lulu, if you've told Jazzy about your coming move and how she's taking it? I imagine it would be a difficult thing to do, but I'm sure that whenever and however you guys do it that the Lord will give you the words to speak and will comfort her as well.

Thank you for the ideas of remembering the date etc. and how that can be a future start of a conversation. I never heard that story before....how encouraging. It sure was for us! Now we're constantly looking for things the kids do that show they're growing in the fruit of the spirit and different from their classmates, so we can point them out to them. The kids have caught on to that so they're looking for things like that too. It helps keep them walking with the Lord.

That's right, I'd forgotten all about skype! That will be a great way to keep in touch with her! I sure hope Matt is able to get permission from the court so she can visit you too. I hope you have a great day too!
I've apparently finally caught the cold that Jenn and the kids had. Bruce got it first, but now it's my turn and I feel miserable - some from the cold but mostly because it's caused everything else to act up.

Devon our 11 year old grandson has had 2 days in a row, spate of P. E. mishaps.
The first day, they were playing some sort of kick the ball game ( maybe kind of like a type of soccer?
In any case, he kicked it and someone kicked it back and as he went to kick it again, he slipped and fell, and got a nice bruise on his leg.
That was bad enough but yesterday was worse. Again, with a ball' type game, he was running fast to kick or hit it..... And ran into a wall.....hit his head on the brick wall fairly hard.....
But he fell.....and fractured a bone in his arm.
So Leonard took him to hospital where they took e-ray and gave his a cast ( the kind you can put on and off your self, with ice pack, and lots of info..... like it could take up to 2 years for arm to look normal again.......) and in 10 days he needs to come back and see orthopedic doctor.
So, I am thinking maybe no more PE for awhile?
Thankfully
( tho I did stay with him all day yesterday....cuz of course after being at hospital for a couple of hours, he came home)
Hossanah, our daughter just so happened to have today off.....and she kept him home today!!
The doctors also gave info concerning hitting his head.....it 'seemed' like, it was okay.....but there are things to watch for, just in case.
Besides having a 100 percent peanut allergy, and asthma, he has one foot ( ankle maybe) that is weak, and turns out so he always walks or runs, with one foot turned out.....) which may be why he is accident prone?
So if you get a chance, maybe you could pray the Lord will heal the fractured bone without complications, and that his head injury will be fine and not a concussion... Thank you
It seems strange to me to have grandchildren getting hurt, because, our two children, never broke anything, nor fractured any bones, or got a strain....nor have I......so I am not well versed in these types of things.
Last year our teenage granddaughter got hit in the eye with a ball, and did get a concussion, which took about a month or more to clear up.
OH!!!! one last thing, apparently ( I think Leonard said this coming Sunday) bulletin will have a photo of Devon's baptism on the front.....that will be kind of cool!! :-)

I remember when I went to P E in school. I did not like P E , some teacher telling me what I had to do and it was required to make the grade. I don't know if kids now days must still go to P E or not. We had to play basketball, that is fine for a girl that enjoys that, but I didn't. and didn't care to learn the rules on how to play, or the balance beam, all forced to go up on a balance beam and do a routine, forced to hold hands with a boy and dance, a must to take off clothes and shower when everyone who had their clothes off just put there hand in the water and walked back to put their clothes on. oh I am starting to complain lol. Sorry to read that Devon got hurt. Yesterday I merged onto the Interstate and the semi truck in front of me tire started to shred and pieces of the tire were hitting my truck, so I accelerated to get around him and that was so slow when I can home I told Ron that 6 cylinder truck was gutless. He told me the computer chip won't let the truck go faster than 80 miles an hour. The weekend is here already, this week went by so fast. Hope you are feeling better Cindy, hope your house sells fast Lulu, Marge good luck finding what you are looking for sorting through all those boxes.

Everyone! I'm back online! October was crazy month. I don't ever want to repeat that again. Margie, I know how that feels........"which box did I put that in?"....I'm still saying it, because I'm not done putting things away. Not by a long shot, but this weekend it WILL be all done, or I'm going to go nuts!
Lee, that's so awesome about Chelsea getting to be a foster Mom!!!
Lulu, I love peeking in here and seeing your daily posts. Please don't ever stop doing that. It makes my day to read them. I'm so excited for you that you are going to soon move. I've wanted to see you get out of California for SO long! I just selfishly wish that you were moving a bit more East than you are.
Anna, I relate to everything that you said about P E! Although I loved that class, I hated the locker room scenario. But, I did love basketball, and volleyball. I didn't much care for track. Just running around in a circle, never made much sense to me, and was boring. My son loved track and wrestling, though.
Anna, I hate that you got caught up in the re-tread coming off of that truck. You did right by passing him, because that retread can really mess you up! Even other trucks can't risk hitting them on the road. They fly up, get caught on the cat-walk and fly out and hit other vehicles. The truck talk for that warning is "There's a gator in the road." But, don't EVER tell a rookie driver, who's running through Florida, that there is a gator in the road. She'll start looking to get to see an alligator. 'Nuff said about that. Besides, I've told that story before.
Congratulations on getting baptized, Barbara!! I don't think I ever knew that you had never been baptized. But, glad to know that now. I've been baptized twice. LOL Once, when I was 11 years old, but felt compelled to do it, as an adult, so last year, I was baptized again.
Cindy, that's great news about Bruce and his heart!! I pray that he continues to heal and will be back to himself soon. I'm sorry though that you are all getting the colds. I too am under the weather. I managed to get a doozy this year. So bad that the cold medicine made me think that I paid a bill 2 weeks too early and come to find out that it was a dream...........no a nightmare! I called my loan company to see if there was a payment pending and they said no, that it's not due until the 25th and the account is current. I gave her a pretty good laugh though. I was just relieved that I had not really made that payment, because my rent is due.
Leigh, I haven't forgotten you. I've been praying for Daniel and his grades, and am following your posts on FB. I love that you get to go to Tennessee so much. You are quite close to me, when you do that. Well, not SUPER close, but much closer than SC is to me. Maybe, some day, when you are up this way, again, we can plan to make a day out of it. That would really be cool!
OK, who am I missing? Well, If I've missed someone, please forgive me. I haven't written in here for so long, I thought I'd jump in and say something to y'all.

That is funny Cheryl, " There is a gator in the road." I never heard you tell about that before. Once on our boat travel to Key Largo, we were overnight at Miami anchorage. I went ashore with my dog and on the way to go back to my dingy I passed a fisherman on his boat, he started telling me he was going to cook my dog and eat the dog, just the way he said it, I was about tripping over myself laughing, so he kept talking and I kept laughing. I thought later, I hope he was joking, he was so funny, but I could have just been too loopy, I don't know.

I finally got the kitchen stuff put away. Vacuumed out my clothes dryer because it was full of lint. I knew there was a lot of lint in the dryer hose because the last apartment never cleaned the dryer ducts.
Worked on hubby's closet and got all of his clothes hung up. I told him I needed for him to tell me how he wanted the clothes arranged but football has been on all day so of course that was a top priority (for him!).
Hugs.

OH!!!! one last thing, apparently ( I think Leonard said this coming Sunday) bulletin will have a photo of Devon's baptism on the front.....that will be kind of cool!! :-) Wow, he's had a bit of trouble lately hasn't he? That's too bad, especially if he enjoys PE. Some kids don't, (I didn't lol) but many do. I had to keep Jenn out of some PE activities for awhile but never out of PE all together. We just told them what was wrong, along with our doctors note, and then we decided together what she could and couldn't do, in agreement with the doctors of course. (it had to do with her cerbral palsy) That's neat that his picture will be on the bulletin! You'll have to get a couple of them so his Mom can save one in his baby book or whatever she keeps for memories and so you can too! Just wanted to check in. We got internet service and TV installed in our new apartment. Moved in yesterday so I'm still unpacking and looking for things (Now which box did I put that in?).
Glad you're back, but don't want to change places with you! I remember when I went to P E in school. I did not like P E , some teacher telling me what I had to do and it was required to make the grade. I don't know if kids now days must still go to P E or not. Hope you are feeling better Cindy, hope your house sells fast Lulu, Marge good luck finding what you are looking for sorting through all those boxes. Thanks Marlene, I am finally! Not completely over it, but feeling and talking better at least. The only part of PE I liked was when we did the trampoline! I loved that! Oh and the balance beam stuff too, or any kind of gymnastics...not the exercises, but the kind on the olympics lol The rest I hated and ignored and did my best to get out of. (often telling them I was having female problems LOL) We had a truck like that years ago, and Bruce hated it for the same reason. He hadn't realized it was like that when we bought it or we wouldn't have. As soon as he did, we took it back to the company and traded it for a different one that didn't do that!

LOL I can't believe it!!! Oh well, maybe this weekend..... My Rons little S10 is like that too Ann, but my HHR’s go zoom zoom! They are built on a truck frame!
This house selling thing is going slow.... we know it’s in the Lords timing so we’ll be patient, we are going to fix a few things.
Margie, have fun putting together you new place! Unpacking is better then packing ah?
Cindy praying you feel better soon!
Thanks Lulu, I finally am! Praying you're able to sell it soon! Hey Cheryl! Good to see you! Just to let you know, we are planing a road trip, once we get moved an all, to go fishing with you! We be thinking and praying for you very often! Oh wouldn't that be fun for you all!
Hugs.
I've never been able to figure out why people don't clean the lint filters! For one thing if it's clean your clothes dry faster and there's less lint, hair, etc on them when they're dry! He's lucky your good to him and don't stand in front of the TV to get your questions answered Good morning FH! Good weekend here, pray you all had a good weekend too! Jazzy was a Jazz to be around this weekend, she spent Sunday with Grumpy and I....our Ashlynn was not feeling well, so she was in the sick chair with her iPads and taking it easy for the day...she had gotten sick on Saturday....🤮
Margie sounds like your making progress in you un-boxing! I’m looking forward to boxing my stuff up!
welp, it’s back to the dysfunctional world 🌎 Monday!
That's great you got to spend time with her, but too bad Ashlynn was too sick to play too. Hope she's feeling better!

Cindy, what a great idea! Maybe then he would listen to me. I'll tell hubby you suggested it.
We have an appointment with a new doctor on Thursday. It's been really complicated matching up doctors who will take new patients, who are on our insurance company's list, etc.
Getting our new address on driver's licenses, etc. is a lot of work too. But I got a lot of boxes unpacked and my closet finished. I found warm clothes just in time. It's supposed to get colder here.
Hugs.

lol Cindy, He did indeed have something planned! today is Leno's birthday, he's our Janitor, he's a wicked good man and takes very good care of all of us. Last year I put together a celebration for his birthday, this year the front office is putting it together...Adam got it going this year. they asked me to go around and get the cards signed and collect money, man, did I have a good day! just talking to every one and collected well over $100 for Leno...can't wait for lunch hour today! Last year I gave Leno a Gideon's bible in spanish for his birthday, I see him almost every afternoon break out side at the picnic tables reading it! does my heart good! Our God Is Good!

Lulu that is good to read about Jeno, 100 dollars will make a nice gift for him, God bless Jeno reading his Bible and how nice of you to have given him a Bible. Looking forward to reading about the Birthday party.
I was at chat in the middle of the night Tuesday night, I wanted to give praises to the Lord with others, but for that, I have to wait for a certain time of day during the week and that is what I usually do, anyway one man there was twisting scriptures to have the others get upset and it often works. Sadly two lovely women started arguing with each other and three of the people started rebuking each other but I typed out worship to the Lord and had a blessed time there but soon ended up being the only one there so I also left but I left feeling blessed.
