I had lunch with my daughter and her youngest son. He is 14 years old today. He picked out his favorite restaurant for lunch and it was really good. We ate at a small Mexican family-run cafe.
It's been dark and cloudy all day. Maybe we"ll get more rain.

all went well with Jess, the knee wasn't as bad as the doctor had thought, they did the surgery with laser I believe, she goes back in two weeks... and we sold our house. Now its on for buying in AZ. well almost. but we are well on our way. please pray for Ron and I to listen and be in the Lords will here!

Sorry guys, Bruce is still sick, this is the 3rd day he's missed work so we're off to the doctors again. That's great you sold the house! I'll continue to pray about the rest though. I'm sorry I missed your request about Jess but am glad she's ok!

I'm sorry, I can't remember what I've told you before.... so I'll start at the beginning. Sunday afternoon, Bruce went to a swap meet and met an old friend he hadn't seen in many years. He told me this guy, who happens to be Greek, is huge and has a hand that's as big as Bruce's head! As a way of greeting and fooling around, the guy greeted Bruce by saying something and smacking Bruce in the head. He didn't know about the accident or that Bruce had a fractured neck, and when he was told, he felt horrible. So bad that he immediately left the swap meet. Since that time, Bruce has been feeling sick...headache, stomach upset, exhausted, aches everywhere, etc. He missed work Monday and I called the doc's and told them what happened, "just in case", but told them he thought it would clear up on it's own so he didn't want to go in to see anyone. Neither of us were at all sure that his symptoms were being caused by being hit that way. We thought it could be a virus that was going around or even the RA. He missed work again Tuesday, but when he was just as bad on Wednesday, I said that's enough, you're going to the doctor. When we went and he explained his symptoms, the doc immediately said, those are classic of a concussion! The light bulb went off in my mind instantly and I couldn't imagine why I'd never thought of it!  So they told him he needed to stay home the rest of the week and rest and could go back to work on Monday. He's still feeling pretty rough today, so I'm hoping tomorrow will be better. But at least this gives him 4 more days to recuperate (counting today). So that's what's going on here.
Now, on to Jennifer and her family,  Bob's applied for more jobs than I can count and goes to interviews almost daily. The latest one that he interviewed for yesterday, sounds really, really good, so we're praying hard that he'll get that one. It's for a local maple syrup company! It's full time, year round, with great pay and benefits! Plus the lady that interviewed him told him she knew Pastor Rob and Stephanie as she used to go to that church too! The only "bad' part is that if he gets the job, he won't be able to start for a week, but at this rate, it doesn't look like there's anything else anyway, so who cares.
It's kind of ironic what's been happening to Jenn and Bob. The Lord's gotten me to the point where I'm comfortable relying on Him to be our provision to pay our bills, but what I hadn't expected was that it was hard for me to be comfortable with that for my daughter! Obviously, the Lord knew that before I did, so I figure her trial is as much for my benefit as it is for theirs. Because He showed me my error right away, I've been able to work on it with Him and have gotten better at releasing them to His Hands in this and not worrying. It's strange to me, because logically it doesn't make sense that I'd completely trust the Lord to provide for us, but not for them... Once again I'm seeing the total insanity of sin and how illogical it really is. I'm so proud of Jenn though. She's done so well during this whole time. Oh, she's had days where she's fallen apart, but for the most part, she's hung in there and has been upbeat and praising God daily for His blessings rather then focusing on the unknown. Or maybe I should say she's focusing on the God she knows rather on the things she doesn't know because she's aware He will take care of them. Now I can relate even better to what John meant when he said it made him so happy to see his children walking in the Truth. I just pray that they'll continue to hold tight to the One who loves them and is in control of all things, working them all out so that they'll be more and more like Jesus.
Well, that's my story for what's been going on here. On top of that, I think i told you all that I was going through a flare up. I'm hoping it will be over in a few more days.....
Looking back, I realize this sounds like a lot of bad news, but it's really not. Even Bruce's concussion has been good in a way, as it's shown us that he needs to be careful about hitting his head (or getting hit) or even shaking it hard. The doc said it would take at least a year before he was completely healed from the accident, and closer to 2 years for everything to be completely normal again. (but then that's human knowledge, not divine knowledge lol). It also reminded us again at how amazingly quickly he's recovered.
I'll admit to getting down about my ability to do anything seeming to continue to deteriorate. But I'm talking to the Lord about it and if this is what is to be, then I will do my best to continue to bloom where I've been planted. I just wish I could figure out how to do that! That's the part that bothers me the most. I want so badly to do serve the Lord and feel like I can't do anything for Him. But again, I know He knows what's best for me, so I need to just be patient and wait on Him to show me. But if any of you think of something, please let me know, as that may be one way He let's me know too!

I have been watching videos from a Christian nurse Starry, I once posted her yogurt recipe video here. She ate a raw carrot and got very ill from bacteria, was in the hospital and they said it was a yarsinia illness. While in the hospital another nurse told her to go to a Chinese herbal doctor who was a Christian, that guy gave her a 3 dollar box of tea to drink and now she is feeling better and she gives the Lord the praise for healing her.
Not much is new with me, felt ill for a few days and I am now slowly feeling better.

I've been to a place where there were 'Indepenent Fundamental Baptists' and they were very condemning. They considered everyone outside their circle as heretics. For example: They considered all Protestants and anyone who doesn't use the King James Bible only as heretics. Very Pharisaical and holier than thou behavior. They considered John F. MacArthur Jr.and Charles Spurgeon (The Prince of Preachers) as heretics. They had bad attitudes too, with almost no love or patience coming from them. Sad! :(

I am referring to Independent Fundamental Baptists who CONDEMN ALL Protestants of being Heretics, and ANYONE who does not use ONLY the KJV bible (I use it too, it is my FAVORITE version), as Heretics. And where did I ever lump you into ALL Independent Fundamental Baptists? I don't even know you, so please stop with the accusations already. Jesus told me that someone would accuse me of this today. You owe me an apology, and that was VERY mean of you to accuse me of that. Why is it that every message board I visit, someone who doesn't even know me accuse me of doing something wrong by ripping my words out of context. Way to treat a NEWCOMER! This is just plain sad. :(

I would love to use some when I post to my grandchildren etc like on facebook....but I certainly don't want to be 'stealing' bandwidth...
I have done a search ( well several) and have yet to either figure out if I could just copy and paste them somewhere, or even how to do it etc.

but you seem to have an endless supply of such lovely ones.
I actually would prefer those with scripture...but any like your would be nice too.

Barbara I have a folder on my iPad and desktop for saving gif and such off FB and other places. I no longer have my smily pad so I had to figure out other ways to get my gif fix...lol I do miss my smily pad though.
How’s the weather up your end of the west coast? It’s been nice here, but we are expecting rain this coming week. 😘❤️

This had nothing to do with not feeling well, it had everything to do with the hate.......
but she be blocked, to judged that quickly and with such disrespect and hate, man the hate she’s spewing is off the hook and short sighted. No wonder she has troubles on other boards! I walk away from that kind of person....I prayed for her this am, I hold no ill will against her, but I’m not playing tip toe with her either....people like that look for ways to trip you, with that Hugh 2 by 4 in her eye! She cannot ,not trip over herself, I don’t play!

Momma Cindy,  I pray you and your family are doing well. We are getting rain here from hurricane Rosa, but most of the rain is missing us. I have to get out of this chair and get some work done. I think I will cook spaghetti tonight for dinner, I am hungry.

happy Tuesday, i think....lol if I remember right I've got no work to go in for this morning. But I'm sure I'll find something. Yesterday it was all about messed up travelers. we are pretty much guessing where to sign or what the next step is. We know, but what we know doesn't match the travelers, it's pretty messed up. but it's been that way for a while now and when mistakes are made, no one has to take responsibility for it.

I feel the need to make a public confession ( as well as privately to the Lord).
Yesterday even tho I listened to a John MacArthur sermon and a couple of others sermons, did the study on FH of Imperishable beauty.....
I never really did my own personal Bible study.
I think.... since I started the bible study here with Cindy,
I have missed my own bible study, one or twice before ( maybe I was really sick one time, and the other was like yesterday.....no excuse at all).
I feel terrible, and need to be held accountable....it feels like I let Jesus down.
Yet, I found time to read my Christian fiction novel,
and also,
worse yet,
I played maybe 20 online solitaire card games.
I don't think playing cards is a sin, in and of, itself....
But.....
it has a 'leader board'
and I had just hit being #1
on one of the many different varieties.....
I was sooo concentrated on getting into first place ( there are 50 slots so you work your way up from the bottom to first place...if you can) that I lost track of time and of doing my bible study.
But when a game, takes priority of the Lord,
for me ....
THAT is a sin problem!!!
I am thinking, maybe I will have to stop playing it.
It used to be I would watch a few different series on net flick until they became an issue for me, and I gave them all up and feel soooo much better for it.
One reason ( beyond insulting Jesus) is I really believe we are living in the end times .....
and so many people are perishing,
dying and going to Hell.
I need to be in the Bible, so that if the Lord gives me an opportunity to witness to someone , I will be equipped....not just wasting time playing a card game.
I know this might sound like the old times when dancing and playing cards were considered sins....that is not at all what I am saying.
But for me, to have missed my daily personal bible study as a result...then it is a sin for me personally.
Others might not have this sin problem in the least.
I would like to have been able to always have the Lord first,
and
maybe play a game ( one or two....not 20 or more, just to be #1).
Anyway, since you my brothers and sisters, I thought confessing this out loud ( so to speak), would be good for me.
