Ouch!Sounds like something Ron would do!
Your Ron also? My Ron has had to have stitches in his hands before from getting cuts. I was chatting with Jeff and PooAnna, and we were talking about volcanic ash, like from the volcanoes in Mexico that have erupted and we all live in the southwest. The volcanoes have put ash (glass particles) into the air and maybe that is why we have had eye irritation lately because ash can travel for thousands of miles in the air. Everyone's been teasing me and saying they can't let me near scissors or knives or anything sharp anymore LOL It's fair though, as I've teased Bruce about screwing his finger to metal poles for years now LOLyesterday was a loooooong day, had work in the morning but for the rest of the day i got paid to read the news....ugh....BUT, at the end of the day I did get some work for today! So this day should be a good one.... That's how Bruce's day was yesterday too. Only instead of reading the paper, he and his boss stood around talking all day, and wishing someone had brought in their snowmobile, 4 wheeler or motorcycle so they'd be able to work on that. I'm so glad the Lord got Bruce this job. it's really been good for him. I hope today goes better for you Lulu.

Yesterday started out ok, at work...... then got really slow for a few hours, but got better....I got a little something to go in for this morning....it’s slow in all the departments.....this is a Jazzy weekend, but she’s spending it with her other grandparents, they haven’t had her for Easter in a few years, so Lyn’s excited! We’ll see her for a few hours on Sunday...... welp gotta get my butt out the door.... I love how you guys take turns with Jazzy. That's so sweet of you. I saw the cutest thing for Easter the other day, but it's for little children. They suggested giving the children a bunch of jelly beans and taking them out in the yard and helping them "plant' the jelly beans. Then, the next day - which would be Easter - when the children got up and went outside, they'd find a colored egg everywhere they planted a jelly bean. LOL I can see that in my mind!
As for us, I'm already trying to think of new places to hide the kids Easter eggs this year. I use the plastic ones and just fill each one with candy. Plus I hide their Easter basket, or present, depending on which we get them.
Well, time to get over to the bible study, and hopefully I'll get time to write about something that I've been wanting to for some time too.

Hi you all...fun reading and catching up on what is going on with everybody.
I am sort of in a new level ( which I pray will last until I die) on being in the Word more than I ever have....only its kind of like exercise....those 'spiritual/biblical' muscles are just growing, and I don't yet have much energy left to write much....yet. LOL
Probably giving you all a break for my babbling 'tomes'. tee hee
Funny all the talk about eyes....mine have been kind of watery...I just thought it was old age or an allergy.....but who knows....ash even here?

I know the Lord must be enjoying it too! my eyes get tired from looking into a micro scope all day, looking at really really small parts...
welp, made it to Friday! I would imagine that would be really difficult to do and would be very hard on the eyes. I can't imagine working on parts that are so small that you need a microscope to see them. That's really amazing!
I'm off to work on the bills now....

What are you looking at under the microscope Lulu? I imagine it is hard on the eyes, but sort of interesting too?

Circuit boards! All different kinds but mostly ones that go into things for space. Very small parts, we call them pepper flakes, that’s how small some parts are. I can see wicked good in the scope, but after going between that and the computer screen, taking my glasses off and on all day, my eyes do get tired, more so these days then before.....age I be guessing....been doing this work most my working years...been QC for the last 15 or more years...built the stuff in the early years! Was a trainer/teacher for a few years.... I love what I do, but ready to retire.... Attachment Deleted

I am going to a church presentation tonight. A friend from Bible study here invited us to her church to see it and the church bus will pick us up so I don't have to drive at night. We will be with our son, his wife and her family tomorrow. Hope everyone has a blessed day tomorrow.

I wonder Lulu if the reason why business is so slow where you work is because China has eliminated taxes on its computer chip manufactures and the computer chip manufactures in the US like Intel must pay a high rate of taxes, which would be driving the computer chip manufactures in this country out of business.
I had a blessed day yesterday partaking of communion with pastor Scott and a few others.

Anna, that might be true for computers....that's one thing we don't build...medical, space, and others...but not computers...China's had the corner on that market for years now... But, some might be coming back to the USA! Attachment Deleted

I got this e-mail from honey ville and it said, "It's finally here, meat flour!!!." What? They show packages of beef, chicken or turkey, and here is what it says. "Our brand new premium meat flour is perfect for any kitchen! Our meat is hand selected and freeze-dried before being ground into an ultra-fine flour that is light, fluffy, and can be used in baked goods from French bread to cupcakes.
Through a patented process we remove much of the meat flavor leaving a nearly tasteless flour that is high in protein, carbohydrate free, and low in fat. The only question left is, what will you bake first? " Ok I just read, " We hope you have a sense of humor, that was just an April's fools joke. Weird, I wasn't expecting an April's fools joke from Honey ville flour. I never do buy anything from them anymore. It would not surprise me to soon see such a thing as meat flour.

Looks like the Lord had an April Fools joke for us all today, as we woke up to it snowing! (and it's still snowing! LOL) I checked the weather just before going to bed last night and there wasn't even a chance of snow today or any day, as we were supposed to be having some spring weather, like we did yesterday. (it was beautiful and close to 60 degrees) I have to laugh every time I look out the window and see the snow coming down!
Your job sounds really interesting Lulu. I love to hear when people enjoy their work. It's great for everyone, because a person who enjoys what they do generally does a better job than the person who doesn't, and that means the people who buy the product or get the service are getting something that's top notch.
What's the presentation about Margie? I hope you enjoy it, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the company anyway!
That's nice that you got to have communion with your friends Marlene.
Speaking of China, I'm so sick of seeing "made in china" on practically everything anymore!
That's a cute joke by the flour company lolI hope you all had a wonderful Easter. We sure did. Jenn and her family were here and we hid the plastic eggs for the kids as usual. We hide 18 plastic eggs that I fill with candy for each of them to find. Each egg has either an E or a G on it so Elijah can only pick up the ones with his initial and Grace can only get the ones with hers, and they can't say anything if they find one that's not theirs lol. We also hide their Easter baskets or gifts (whichever we get). Our yard is pretty bare this time of year so it's hard to find places to hide them, especially now that they're older. But we managed. In fact, we did such a good job this year, that we were beginning to wonder if they'd ever find them all! We wound up having to give them hints like telling them if they were "hot or cold", and that way they finally found the last of their eggs. Jenn baked a ham for us for dinner and some candied carrots, and I made mashed potatoes and rolls, while Bruce made pies. So we had a good dinner too, and got to talk about the Lord and all He does for us. I'd even managed to clean the house before they came over, so by the time they left last night, we were exhausted. Bruce fell asleep within 30 minutes after they left LOL.

Cindy, the presentation at my friend's church was a very abbreviated version of Jesus' life here on earth. Church members played different roles. I thought the best acting was by the young man who played Judas Iscariot. He brought real life to a difficult role. The church served cookies and hot chocolate afterwards.
It is really cool here but no snow. I walked my friend's dog but it was a short walk. Went to Bible study this afternoon. We had a great time with family yesterday.

That sounds so interesting Margie, and what a great way to bring the message home to each of the people who played a part in it! Whichever part they played they're bound to remember for a very long time! I would love to be part of something like that. Most of the snow we got yesterday is already melted lol. Another reason why I was sure it was the Lord's joke on us all! well, kept busy for the most part yesterday, and I've got work to go in for this morning..I'm just bidding my time...
I'm glad you were able to keep busy Lulu. How's Ron doing? Have you all made anymore plans about moving?

Looking at houses 🏡 and property for sale.. l’ve started packing. The little stuff, nick-nacks and such. I feel for him as I'm used to having to deal with that. That's why Monday's are always hard on me as weekends are always the days I do the most, or at least usually are anyway. I'll be glad to continue to pray that you guys are in the Lord's will, but I have a feeling you are anyway.... Hope you have a good day today Lulu! And everyone else too. I sure hope that Cheryl is enjoying her new job. I really hope that the antibiotics worked and she was better before she had to start work. It's hard enough to start a new job normally, but even harder when you don't feel well.

Lulu what is being a QC ...oh I just did a search amd tho it can mean different things, I am guessing in your case it means: quality control?
We did not get snow, but we have still been getting some hail..... however, the trees are leafing out, and early spring flowers are springing.... so I am going with what the plants say....that Spring IS going to come LOL ( sometime....maybe soonish?)
Our daughter has been assistant manager at the dollar tree near-ish us ( 2 small towns over).
However, the manager of several years gave notice last month she is leaving ( her husband's father has cancer and it is now at the point of their needing to move and help him his last year or so).
Sooooo, Hossanah is in the running for being manager. She has already, taken over when the manager who is leaving would go on a week vacation.
It's a big process tho...first a 100 question test ( she passed...no surprise there).
Then a chat with the district manager...went good.
The an executive chat yesterday for an hour....also very good ( she knew everything he asked....she studied well for it).
But they are still interviewing folks so it could be several weeks before they decide.....
In my mind she would be a good fit.....she been there all along, is loyal, a great worker, knows her stuff, the staff and customers love her.....she know all the stuff about stocking, and time sheets etc etc.
However IF they choose her....she will then have a month training ( in a city about 2 hours away).
Which means hubbie and I will prob. be doing a 'wee' bit more watching grandchildren during that time LOL
There are of course benefits for the position, but a few drawbacks like she will have longer hours and the buck will stop with her.
I am sure she can do the job and will do it very well...and I did point out to her, she doesn't HAVE to do it forever.....but she is very loyal to her work.....it's 6 or 7 years of her working there and I can't remember her ever taking off a sick day....she tells me she did once, but I do NOT remember it.
The other prob ( in my mind only) is I am sure there will be a slight learning curve.....even tho she has been #2 in charge for years....still ,there was always THE manager to pass the buck if need be....now she will be IT!
So I worry a little about the stress ( at first).....tho I have to laugh, the first day after the manager was gone for good....Hossanah got the crew to totally organize the backroom ( where they store tons and tons, and tons of goods.....then she sent a photo of the work that EVERYBODY did to the district manager. I liked that she included everyone.
She also did time sheets, and all the usual jobs.
But.....even so, I wonder if taking on the extra.....might cause her to increase smoking ( she had cut down drastically).
Oh well, she has not gotten the position yet.....she is actually willing to do it, or......stay assistant manager...she is willing to do what they think is best, a good attitude I think

That's great that your daughter is up for a promotion Barbara! I'm sure she'll do just fine.
And you get to have Jazzy this weekend Lulu, that's going to be fun for you!
We'll just be doing the usual shopping and having the kids over. But that's always fun too.

Hello everyone! Sorry that I haven't responded for a long while. I've been reading and keeping caught up, though, if that means anything.
Cindy, I loved reading about your Easter egg hunt with the grands! Sounds like you all had a lot of fun and good eats!
Margie, the reenactment sounded like it was fun and enlightening too.
Barbara, I am so excited for Hosanna. I pray she does get chosen for the promotion and know that she will be great at it.
Lulu, I hope the work picks up for you at the job. I know you love what you do, although it is hard on your eyes, but I also know that you are a worker and not a sitter. Have a great Jazzy weekend!!
