Awww Lulu sorry you are hurting! Hopefully/prayerfully you will feel better soon.
I am sure you know the old physical therapists standby: Chin tucks ( and also while in tucked position turning left and to the right slowly). I am guessing that is not helping. I have found that often for me, if I find the right spot by or on my clavicle, it is often sooooo tight that by my pressing on it, it begins to relieve some of the painful tension.
So, Hossanah had the next stage.... a chat with one of the executives, and it went really well ( she had study hard, knowing this hour telephone conversation was coming, and she answered everything correct).
Also the regional manager told her, that the executive told him that it went super well.
Sooooo it's getting way closer to her getting the position.
However, that will mean for the month she will have to go to Troutdale, for training, which means hubby and I will also have a LOT more watching of the grandchildren.....
Because it is waaaay to far away for her to come back home each day.
But we will just do it!
I have started fermenting various foods which are super high in probiotics ( instead of buying costly probiotics, which I never did because for one it is waaaay too spendy),
However, fermented foods means you can digest foods easier ( since I do have some trouble with that anyway....it's already pre digested)
I've been amazed just how many things can be fermented!! I always knew about sauerkraut but not much beyond that almost any veggie but also fruits etc.
And I really don't have to worry about the complexity of canning ( never did it) but fermenting is sooooo easy!!
and fermented foods creates a protective lining in the intestines shields it against pathogenic factors, such as salmonella and E.coli
increase antibodies for a stronger immune system;
regulate the appetite... reduce sugar and refined carb cravings
Are actually safer than raw veggies
I am making fermented lemonade along with a cabbage/beet mix and also fermenting garlic ( started those yesterday).
I also made beet chips.
want to make some sweet potato chips.... and fermented applesauce etc. etc.
I better get busy tomorrow or the next day.....because who know if and when Hossanah will be called for her month of training LOL

Hi Barbra, I had once started fermenting vegetables and then stopped, I guess what discouraged me was that the vegetables were supposed to be organic vegetables, and organic is hard to find, but I should try fermenting what I buy. I subscribed to video by the guy Best Done Yourself, he makes it all sound so easy. I have only fermented cabbage and I made kimchi once. The kimchi was good but did not turn out fermented like I thought it would, anyways I will stay with just plain vegetables. I will look at a video of fermenting lemon and garlic because I have lemon and garlic right now. I am able to buy raw milk and I ferment that with kefir and make a smoothie, every day that is my favorite food I have. But I feel a need to get the most out of the food I am buying as the cost always increases, and vitamins are probably made in China, bottled in the US, so fermenting sounds good.

how Garfield looks is about how I feel! been dizzy since last nite, got a stiff neck and I think that's where the dizziness is coming from. Gotta go see my chiropractor! But I be up and dressed and ready for church! waiting on the ol'man... Ouch! I sure hope he's able to help you. I've never heard of dizziness being caused by that before.Awww Lulu sorry you are hurting! Hopefully/prayerfully you will feel better soon.

LOL Sounds like the mother instinct! I'm glad you had a good weekend. We did too. Grace decided she wanted to try shooting like her brother, so Bruce worked with both of them yesterday and they did very well. Now Grace wants her own rifle and picked out one with pink camouflage lol. She's too young for the hunters course but that just means she'll have more time to practice.

I didn't get to see our chiropractor yet, hopefully next week, but I do feel better. I must have slept wrong, plus old age! I'm glad you're feeling better anyway. I never really learned, which is probably good since I can't see squat lol. Another of my granddaughters is going to be leaving for Czechoslovakia later this month. She's in the same choir that Cassandra was in and will be going to sing over there. They're giving a going away concert here on the 15th to share with us what they'll sing over there. it's a good experience for the kids, but I don't care for some of the songs they sing. The teacher is obviously very much into the new age stuff. On the other hand though, Michelle has trained her children well in the ways of the Lord, so hopefully they aren't confused by this stuff. Alissa is only 12 and has already been paid to sing in a play with adults! That was quite an honor too! Elijah and Grace are following in Cassandra and Alissa's footsteps with the singing and both are already in the same choirs they were in at school. I kind of hope that it ends there for them. The last place I'd want any of my grandkids to be as far as what they'd do as adults is either singing or acting. That's just going right into Satan's den and not good at all. Even the "Christian" entertainment business is full of drugs and alcohol and sin. Nope, not a good place to be. I know that's true of any business, but the entertainment business is 100% worse then the others. At least in my opinion.

Beautiful day here. I spent most of it doing laundry, but...oh well. Had to do it. I did walk my friend's dog this morning along the creek and that was nice.
My daughter and her hubby made an offer on a house in Alabama. Hope they get it. I don't think they have put their house here on the market yet. But houses in this area usually sell fast.
Hope everyone has a good week. Hugs to all.

Hope everyone has a good week. Hugs to all. That's what I did too Margie...laundry I mean. That's going to be a big move for them isn't it? I know you told us, but I can't remember...did her husband get a job there or something? hump day! That it is! Soon Bruce is going to have a very busy time. I hope he can make it through it all ok. We have Alissa's concert on the 15th, at 4pm. That's a Sunday I think. Then on the 16th at 5pm he has to pick up Elijah and take him to register him for the hunters education class. It will actually start on Thursday. The schedule is a little weird... They go Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8:30pm and that's after working all day. Then they have Friday off and go Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am to 4:30 pm both days. Hmmm I hadn't thought of it, but somehow I'll have to get shopping done that weekend too. Well, if nothing else, I imagine Bruce will sleep well Thursday since he's normally asleep by 6pm lol, as well as on the weekend too, probably as soon as he gets home! Then we get the week off and on the 28th have Maddie's 9th birthday party. I can't believe she's 9 already. For some reason I still see her as a 5 year old.....
Oh, we had a fox come calling the other night. Woke Bruce up and he saw him, but I slept through it this time. I've heard him on other nights though. If he keeps it up, I'm going to have to have a talk to him..... or maybe his wife since that seems to be who he's looking for. (they mate for life).
Hope you all have a great day!

Yeah, every time I moved I wound up getting rids of tons of stuff too. Then we'd get settled and I'd start getting more "stuff" lol. Now I try to just not get more "stuff". Then I won't have to worry about where in the world I'm going to put it! Hope you have a good day Lulu!

Hi, I hope everyone is doing well. wow it is almost the weekend again. I am in a quiet mood, can't think of anything to say. lol I am fermenting some carrots and I ate one to see how they are doing, they sure are salty. Live chat has been fun to go to in the evenings, now there are people from Europe there also, so cool. I was going to buy a sewing pattern for sewing clothes and I forgot to buy one, I ended up getting some clothes online, I like jeans and t-shirts to wear and they have been popular clothes for people to wear for a long time. I wanted a sundress or vintage dress and I saw what I liked at a good price but I would have had to send my order to China directly, more tax, I just didn't want to try to do that, whatever I would have ordered would have been floating on a slow boat in rough sea. Trees and weeds are blooming right now so there is a lot of pollen in the air.

Hi everyone! I agree Marlene. I don't like to buy things that are made in China either. Glad you made it to Friday Lulu! I hope Cheryl's doing well, and enjoying her job. I can't wait to hear from her! I've been doing some spring cleaning lately. I've gotten all my curtains washed and all the windows, mirrors etc, and even the doors lol. I know it's not much, but for me it was a lot. I have to use today to recuperate from the last couple of days.

Cindy, you are doing well with your start on that spring cleaning. It is cool here today and windy, so it was a good day for me to get a rake and remove dry tumbleweeds away from an entrance gate that Ron will be painting soon. It was cool enough to do the physical outdoor work and the wind blew the tumbleweed down the dirt road, so I accomplished that today. Now I am going to focus on some reading and bible study, I need to take a few notes. I have been finding some interesting videos to watch. Ron and I stayed up until 2 am watching funny comedy videos last night, it was fun, we were laughing.

This last batch of fermented cabbage came out perfect and my lemonade was super good also.
I am now trying carrots. There is some leeway concerning the salt....too little and it doesn't kill potential mold and too much can slow down the fermenting.
But usually it's between 1-3 tablespoons per quart.....so there is room to adjust it to personal taste.
of course the lemonade was done with whey ( the liquid in yogurt).
Oh I added some slivered ginger to the carrots. Since it's my first try with carrots, I will see.
I want to do fermented applesauce, and try sweet potatoes,
I have found it does help my stomach as its pre-digested....and of course pro biotic and super simple to do and very cheap ( rather than buying spendy probiotics).
I would be scared to do canning.
I have tried both ways of doing it with salt ( massaging the salt into the veggies in a bowl, and just making the water and salt brine and pouring over the veggies in the mason jar).
I also have tried several different ways to make sure the veggies stay under the brine ( I even used big cabbage leaves this last time and that worked great too).
The only problem with doing fermenting with whey, is waiting....I have to eat almost all the container of yogurt to get enough whey ( I love yogurt, so eating it is not a problem, but I don't normally eat a whole container in one sitting LOL).
I don't know if anyone watched Mark Zuckerberg before the senate,
but if anyone remembers DATA on Star Trek ?
( no I don't watch anything to do with Star Trek anymore....it's been years and years)
but I do remember the android Data character.....and Mark looks and acted remarkably like him.....pretty much expressionless....but even his face reminded me of that character...
Which is kind of funny, because the company he started the biggest social media and he was pretty much ....not seemingly 'social'
plus.....his company is all about 'data' kind of weird...or is it just me?
So Hossanah has not heard yet.....tho her regional manager, gave them a special 2 week working schedule , maybe for inventory
Anyway, he said to her, he did not want her gone for a month during those 2 weeks ( the month would be the final thing needed).
Which to me sounded like a hint, tho he claimed no decision had been made yet. Soooo hurry up and wait some more LOL

Cindy, yes my son-in-law has been working in Alabama for several months and really likes his job. They did get the house they put an offer on. My daughter said they plan to move after Christmas.
We had really cold wind today. The sun is shining, but that wind...brrr!
My Sunday School class had our Spring party at a member's house at noon. Lots of good food!

Yep, lol, it always seems to be about waiting.....and waiting...and then waiting some more LOLCindy, yes my son-in-law has been working in Alabama for several months and really likes his job. If they wait till after Christmas though, doesn't that mean that they'll have to pay for two houses this year?
I've so had it with snow! So has everyone else here, even Bruce now! It was 60 degrees day before yesterday, but we had sleet yesterday and then it snowed (again) last night! I couldn't believe it when I got up this morning and looked out the window to yet another layer of snow on the ground, and it's still snowing! Gracie wanted to plant flowers last weekend, and now I don't know if we'll be able to this coming weekend even! This is just crazy! My cats are shedding like crazy because they know it's supposed to be spring... the plants even started coming up! Now this again!

I guess today I'm going to try and work on the kitchen some more.... all those nooks and crannies that no one but me will ever know that I cleaned lol

Cindy....you have snow and we have had rain rain and more rain. yes, we do get a LOT of rain here, but this is a weeeeee bit over the top!!
I have heard some thoughts about since we are in a solar minimum now, that instead of Mr. Gore's global warming and icebergs melting and ocean rising etc. etc.
We might have a 'mini mini' ice age... or colder that normal
But I am ready for Spring now ( some rain is fine, even good, it will water the plants, but even a tiny bit of sun would be soooo appreciated
Cute photo Lulu even upside down LOL

Cindy, I know what you mean about the snow. I've about had it up to my eyeballs, too! If it's not snowing, it's raining. I woke up to flurries, this morning. Nothing is sticking, but the fact that it had that white stuff blowing around, was aggravating enough. And yes, we have all our spring flowers bloomed...tulips, dog woods, etc. I want to put out my hummingbird feeders, but I don't want the glass to freeze and break them!
I updated about the job in the trials forum. I love it!!

Cindy, yes they will have 2 house payments for a few months but they are good money managers.
Still windy here but much warmer.
I went to my daughter's house and we had lunch. Grandson likes Panda Express so that's where we went. I don't usually like Chinese food but I tried their orange chicken with fried rice and it was very good. My daughter is cleaning stuff out of her house so I brought a lot back with me. Tomorrow I'll take it to a thrift store run by a local charity.

Unusual weather for it being the middle of the month of April, snow, rain? where is that? , dust! , wind and some area's fires. Every day I look at that jar of fermented carrots in my refrigerator and I picture in my mind a rabbit, I wonder if rabbits like salt? I haven't had much of an appetite lately but still, this overweight woman is not losing any weight. You all have been staying busy, so have I.

Cute photo Lulu even upside down LOL Sigh, it's still spitting snow today.... I told Bruce that I was going to scream if it keeps it up! Elijah and Grace are both sick with a virus. Bob was sick too but was well enough to go to work yesterday. Jenn thinks she might be getting it. I hope not especially since she was the one who started the whole thing two weeks ago! We're praying they'll all get better quickly, but especially Elijah as his hunters ed course starts in 2 more days. By the way, I meant to thank you for sending the kids a reply to their letter to you. They were a little mixed up though as you called them both girls I assured them that you were well aware that Elijah was a boy and that it was just a slip of the pen, so to speak. They understood that. But they really liked getting your letter and thought it was really neat that you'd write to them. I think that's the very first real letter they've ever gotten! That's wonderful Cheryl! I can't wait to read it! Wow, that's great that they have enough money to do that. You must be very proud of them! It's good that you can help them with things like that too. I think all animals like some salt, as they all need it to a certain extent to be healthy. Speaking of rabbits made me think of our critters and what I recently discovered. I've wondered for a long time if we had any flying squirrels in our area, and found out that we do! Now I'm hoping some will come to our yard so I can see them too. They may have been here all along, but as my sight isn't very good, I may not have realized what I was seeing. So now I'm trying to look at them all more carefully. Hope you have a good day too Lulu! Something reminded me of the way I always used to say good morning when I first began posting on rapture ready and then on my own board when I first started it: Good morning everyone! It's still raining, windy and cold....maybe, it will 'start' to get a bit better soon.....I 'KNOW' the sun is still there behind those clouds....right? right? Surely someone has seen it LOL Actually it peeked out for about 5 mins this morning, and then promptly hid behind more clouds....sigh!
Like Cheryl, the plants, flowers etc. keep saying, spring is coming... And more importantly God says in Genesis 8:22
"“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
Sooooo I am sticking with that.....it is coming....unless Jesus raptures us out of here first.
I really like the way you say good morning Cindy!!! I need to remember that esp now.....when I am waiting on the sun.....but even more so the SON!!!!
