Looks like it's past time for another new chat thread. If any of you guys notice that we need a new one, please feel free to start it! Here's the scripture I picked for this one: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.” (Philippians 2:3) I guess I tend to pick the ones that I'm working on myself... Anyway, here's the most recent posts: Sweet Baby Rays isn't the only BBQ sauce that Ed and I enjoyed, but it's one of the few that doesn't have "heat" in it. We........[well "I"] buy the honey BBQ blend. I used to buy the original Masterpiece brand, but they changed the recipe and put a sharp spice in it, and we didn't care for it, anymore. (I don't like my food to attack me....you know....like that stupid commercial? LOL) When I don't have any on hand, I make my own. Ed said he liked it better than the store bought. He was skeptical when I announced that...oops...we are out of BBQ sauce, this one day. It was too late to just run out and get some, because I would have had to drive all the way into Paducah, while supper was close to being all cooked. But, I assured him that I can make it from scratch. But, he really enjoyed it and went back for 2nds then 3rds. He knew that my one rule in my kitchen is that "if you DON'T like it, don't say that you do, or you just might get it again". He found out the hard way, telling me that he liked something, and he really didn't and I made it again, because he told me he liked it. LOL! I actually should look into bottling my recipe and making a living at that. I haven't the faintest idea of how to go about it. Not a clue.....
That's a good idea Cheryl! Maybe you could do a search online and figure out how it's done.... I wouldn't have a clue either, but I'm sure that there's plenty of stuff online about it.
I've always told my family the same thing, starting when my kids were little. My oldest daughter also found out the hard way. Not from me but from a friend she babysat for. The woman served her liver which she hates but to be polite she said it was good, so the next time she came over, that's what the woman made her again! I just about died laughing at her cause she was only 10 years old at the time. (she wasn't really babysitting, just there to keep the woman's child busy and happy so she could get some work done).
Apple Annies has an on-line country store where they sell sauces for using on cooking meat, you could check that out just to look and get an idea, those sell for 16 dollars a bottle, the name of three of them are, jalapeno olive oil, citrus habanero olive oil and espresso balsamic. Hopefully we will put the window ac in tomorrow, so by the time I get home from doing my grocery shopping I can come into a cooler home, temp in the home now is about 90 degrees. Wow, that's expensive! (at least to me) I'm afraid I'd go without before I bought any sauce for that amount!
I dread when our weather will get that hot again, but they say we're going to have a lot of it this year.
Hello again everyone. Just finished reading through all the posts since Monday morning, about what's going on in each of your lives. I still wish we could do some kind of live Skype group-session. Don't even know if that's possible, but it sure would be nice to chat LIVE!
Ruthanne it's good seeing you post again. Even though I'm not in here as much as I used to be, I had noticed you haven't been here in awhile and MISSED you! I'm so glad you and Cheryl are able to talk and encourage one another.
Well tomorrow (Friday) is the big day: Daniel graduates from high school! I've been busy all week getting ready for that. My mother is driving over from GA later today, and my sister and two of her eight children are driving in from VA. The ceremony is at 8 a.m. on Friday (whoever decided on that early hour of the day, I am NOT appreciative!!) and we are having a small get-together for him here at the house afterwards, around noon.
Problem is that I don't know how many people are coming and am about to go crazy trying to figure out how much food to fix. We're thinking maybe 30-35 people (family included). I'm not making a meal, just snacks, but with teens/young adults you'd better have plenty! Between planning food and trying to get the house ready I haven't thought about much else all week long.
For those of you not on Facebook, we got a little kitten last week. Total impulse decision that must have been a moment of temporary insanity on my part & has just confined me to many more years of tending to an animal after I have said so many times recently, "I will NEVER have another pet."
We named him Jellybean because he's solid black, like a licorice jelly bean (my favorite flavor in a jelly bean). He is adorable, a whopping 1-1/2 pounds, and is finally warming up to us. He was from a litter of strays and exhibited feral cat behavior those first several days with us. I had to look it up (feral cats), and the description fit him to a T. But he's acting more kitten-like now and is starting to be lots of fun.
So, that's what's happening here.
Wow, now that's a lot of people!!! Good luck LOL! And Congratulations to Daniel too! I saw the pictures you put on FB of Jellybean and he's adorable! Makes me want more till I remember that I already have 3! I'm glad that he's settled in and is feeling safe now. They're so precious at that age, and can be so frustrating too especially since their natural cycle is to be up playing during the night when we want to sleep! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with him and get lots of laughs too!
Hey, at work, still with hardly anything to do. so this week has been very boring and frustrating. but I'll get over it..soon we'll be so busy I will be frustrated with that! Lorrie, have a blast tomorrow. it'll all be just fine I'm sure! Jellybean is wicked cute! I love love love all black kittys. our Silly Sally is all black, fat and black! also from a stray cat...She's a love, but still not liking little people. like Jazzy, but she'll get there... have a great day everyone... I've always loved black cats too Lulu. Maybe it's because I've always been a champion for the underdog lol. One thing that's neat about them is that you can't see them in the dark or against a dark background unless they open their eyes. Bruce has been bored at work a lot recently too. I hope it picks up for both of you soon.
Hello everyone.I just want to put it out I need prayer.I am posting today while my comp.is upping and downing the page! The devil really doesn't want me here. And the worse I feel the harder it is to come chat.I would be pulling my hair out but I need all the hair I have, lol. No bald spots yet. Next,I accidently found Sweet Baby Rays sauce and Larry liked it so much he would remind me on grocery day not to forget it.That was when he was still eating. Next,Larry's sister gifted me with 2 kittens.I haven't had much to do with them as they are so skittish but now they love me too.I get such joy from them and spoil them rotten. One is jet black and I tried to re-name them. They were Lulu and Mo.I hate the 3 stooges so I had to get rid of mo but he knew his name so now he is Mojo. And does he have some mojo going on.Lulu is still Lulu. She is so sweet and gentle.Mojo decided one day to wake me up and he threw himself into my face. The side of his body!I'm like Mojo,I am going to kill you!And a couple of days ago Lulu woke me up.She took her paw(no claws) and pushed my chin and when that didn't work she started walking on my pillow and playing with my hair. She is so gentle.I am getting them used to kisses(they didn't like it much but yesterday ,while lying down Mojo came up and put his nose on my lips!Yuck but wow.He gave me a kiss. They listen when I say "no"cause my voice is harder. Ok enough about them. My friend Sheila came over and spent the night and my kittens used her as a trampoline .Yes they wake up about 2AM and want to play.I cooked tilapia for the first time since Lar died and baked sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts.First and last meal I have cooked since Larry died.I cook instant stuff for me.Oh,once I made chicken and dressing and had cranberry sauce. It was stove top dressing with onions and celery and extra sage.easy -peasy. Hi to everyone and I will be back when I wake up.meds are working Congrats to Daniel and may his life be lived in Gods shadow,. Thank you for the kind words,Cindy,I won't be a stranger,Love Ruthanne
your kitties sound adorable Ruthanne! I'm so glad the Lord gave us animals, especially our cats and dogs. They bring so much joy and laughter to us! I'm glad you're going to stick around Ruthanne and hope that I was able to encourage you. When my brother's daughter graduated from high school and we went to their house to visit, my sister-in-law had for food a large subway sandwich, I think it was about 3 feet long, and it was cut into small sandwiches, that worked out well for food and then she had like ice tea and soda to drink. Skype has to be downloaded and I think everyone would need a camera. There is what is called team speak on the internet. It is like up to 8 people can talk for free. My husband used to talk through team speak to some men that were gaming online. I remember one guy was a ballet or ballerino.
I was so tired today after getting home from shopping, I slept for 3 hours. I feel better now but I am going to take a bath and go back to sleep.
That's quite a long nap, but I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm really tired today as I wasn't able to go to sleep until after 1:30 last night. I hate taking the sleeping pills so have decided that even if I can't sleep, I'm not going to take them anymore. Not unless there's a really important reason that I need to get up early and have enough energy for the next day. That's how I "want" to do it anyway, we'll see how long and how well I hold out
I like that idea for party food! And we even have a subway here - well not in my town but one about 25 minutes away. It's inside our Walmart. I think I'll do that next time Bruce decides to invite people over!
I got upset at myself the first part of this week. The year Bruce had the heart attack we weren't able to pay our real estate taxes on our house, and couldn't the next two years either as I was still trying to catch up on all the bills. We finally got the one year paid off but still had the two to go. The problem was that we just didn't have any "extra" money left after paying our very basic bills. Plus it seemed like I always had a whole pile of overdue doctor and hospital bills to pay as well. Anyway, I eventually got everything paid up to date except the taxes. I paid on them every year, but it didn't seem to do much good because of course we also got a new bill each year. I have to admit that I simply wasn't paying attention to the numbers. It didn't seem like there was any reason to as there was nothing I could do about it anyway, other than what I was doing already. Well between finally paying off our car loan and Bruce getting that last raise at work, it finally gave us a little "extra" money. So I started shoveling it onto the tax bill. But it still didn't go down! I couldn't believe it! Well, I finally looked more closely and realized they were charging me over $300 a month interest on it! No wonder I hadn't made any headway. I'd been paying $200 dollars a month and it was still going up $100 a month! After praying (which I'd been doing for a long time) we decided that the only way we could deal with it would be to take out a personal loan at the bank since their interest was LOTS less, so we applied for it yesterday afternoon. Hopefully we'll find out today whether or not they'll give it to us. I HATE the idea of getting a loan, but couldn't think of any other way to do it. There's no early payment penalty on it though, so if I pay the bank what I was paying the taxes, I should have it paid off fairly soon. (I hope) We don't believe in living on credit and prefer to pay for everything in cash. Once our car loan was paid off we had no intention of ever getting another loan for anything, but here we go again....
I wish I had more energy today though as I have a lot of stuff I need to do and some of it involves using my now tired brain....that probably isn't going to work real well.... Oh well. The Lord knew what I thought needed to be done today, so I figure if I can't do it because I'm too tired, that it must be ok to do it tomorrow instead, since He's the one in control. Well, I'd better get going on the bible study now, you guys all have a great day!

Thanks for the new thread, Cindy!
As for those property taxes! How on earth can they get away with charging you so much in interest??! What percent is it? Something doesn't sound kosher about that at all! Silly question, but have you called them for an explanation? I just looked it up, Cindy, and the interest rate on underpayment of property tax is 12% per year, charged daily. So, you take your balance and multiply it by .12 and divide it by 265. Then multiply that answer by the days in the billing period. That gives you the monthly interest charge. If this were the case, then your property tax is in arrears by $22,200.00! And I'm going to say NO WAY! Something is wrong with this.

Had a good day here. Lots of rain yesterday and today. I've been walking my friend's dog here when she doesn't feel good. She's a retired beauty shop owner and offered to cut my hair as thanks. She did a great job! Since it's so humid, today was a good day to see my hair at its worst. It goes crazy in humid weather. But she spent quite a while thinning and tapering (not sure what that means but now my hair lies flat instead of going every which-a-way).
Going to a church tomorrow that's closer to me. I visited there last week and enjoyed it. Got a nice welcoming note from a lady inviting me to her SS Class. Actually 2 people came here to the retirement home to visit but since I didn't have my hearing aids in I never heard the doorbell. I hate being almost deaf.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hello everyone.
I was reading through this new thread and realized that I never responded to most of the posts from the old thread, sorry.
Ruthanne: You know, my sis, that you are always in my prayers. But, telling you that, once in a while never hurts. I love it when you talk about your kittens. And Mojo seems to be the ornery one. You told me he nailed you in the back the other morning to wake you up. You have more patience than I do, for sure. Lulu sounds so sweet and gentle. It's so funny about those two, being that they are a pair, and so different from each other. LOL The meals you said you fixed, sound delicious. And I love Brussel Sprouts.
Lulu: I love seeing all the picture/videos that you are posting on FB. Jazzy looks so grown up and beautiful. Be sure to give her a gentle hug from me, the next time you get to see her.
Leigh: Congratulations to Daniel on his graduation. I hope that his throat healed enough, so he didn't have to be miserable, during the ceremony. And you mentioned on FB, that your mother was not feeling all that well, either. I sure hope she is better now. I hope you didn't have too many people ~vs~ food, at your get together, after Daniel's graduation, and that everything went off without a hitch! I love seeing the pictures, and reading your daily happenings, with "Jellybean". Love the name too.
Anna: I get worn out from grocery shopping too. Sometimes I feel like I won't make it back home. The last time, a few days ago, was just awful. I forced myself to get things into the house that needed to be refrigerated and/or remain frozen, and the rest just stayed in the truck, until the next day, after I'd rested and slept. I just couldn't do it.
I am impressed how you tested those melons. I don't really care for watermelon, or cantaloupe either, so I wouldn't blame the critters and fur kids for not eating it. And being that it looked odd, even if I did like it, I would not trust it for consumption either. Good call. I did look it up, however, and the best answer that I could find, was that if the melon didn't receive an adequate amount of water, during the last spurt of growth, the meat would not have the rich red color.
Dogstaff: I'll bet your hair does look nice. And yes, the best way to train shorter hair is to thin it, to make it lay down, and feathering layering it, gives it shape, instead of straight down. I used to want to be a beautician, in my youth. And even went so far as to apply for beauty college, but backed out at the last second, because I allowed everyone, including the owner of the school, to tell me that I wouldn't make it. The only person who was disappointed in me, was my cousin-in-law, who was actually a teacher at that school. When she found out that I backed out, she told me that she would have made certain that I finished. I didn't know that, but later on, I realized that I would have had to stand for long periods of time, without a break, on some days, and even back then, I wasn't able to do that for real long. So, I just stayed with what I know......snip and pray.
Your rain hit us, last night. It was forecasted to rain, and I went out and got a little bit done in my yard. Not much though. It didn't begin sprinkling until around noon. I put everything away, while I still had some time, and not long after, it was pouring down. It didn't stop until just a little while ago. My work is pretty wet now, and it is only 1/2 completed. But, I'm sore and tired and probably won't get out there, today, to finish.
Speaking of which. I sent pictures to my sister, of my back yard and she suggested something for me, that will SO work! I am having a real hard time mowing around some things in my yard, and because of it, it looks terrible. Not at all how Ed kept it. But, I think that even he would have a hard time of it, on the corner of my yard, because a few months ago, the city came and pulled a concrete slab that the previous owner put in, at the corner of the street. He claimed that it was because people would cut that corner sharp and run off into his grass and cause a muddy mess that he couldn't mow. WRONG! What the guy did was cover up and block a drainage culvert!!! But, now, when I try to cut that area, I just can't do it, and I fall. And I'm so scared that I will fall right down into that hole, and get injured. So, yesterday, I dug up 3 of my rose bushes, and am in the process of relocating them to my back yard, where my sister suggested that I put them. It's in another area (of many) that I cannot mow. So, putting the bushes there, and rocking them in, will prevent me from having to mow that too. Now, with those bushes gone from the corner, I can mow quite a bit of that hill, with the riding mower. The grass down in the gullet will just have to grow, because I not only refuse, but am physically unable to cut it. The city will just have to get it the few times that they ride around and cut the ditch grasses. I am so done.
Anyway, that's my day........how 'bout y'all?

I know what you mean Cheryl, that's why I never worried that much about it. But we now have to pay them by the middle of this month or we'll lose our house. So there's no choice left for us. Ruthanne, I am glad you are able to have kittens there where you live, that must by fun, they are so cute. I hope it winds up being a church that you like and will get great teaching from Margie. That must be hard not being able to hear like that. I have a problem hearing with one of my ears, and can't imagine not being able to hear with both! What up playzera I been so busy with end of school year both my mom and my dad they decided they want me move into my childhood house they can live with themselves after health scare with my dad my brother and I decided to best that I move in So my contract with Fronter communication got too expensive I am official Direct tv subscriber good news I going get Free NFL Sunday ticket for two years Bad news I lost METV Antenna tv and other because Direct tv dont' carry the channel I got scoreboard I still get over the tv with antenna in my bedroom Screw it Direct Tv I got score board on you That's so good of you to take care of your parents that way Kelly! Bless your heart! It sounds like you're getting good tv channels now too.
What a great idea for your yard Cheryl! I'm glad you won't have to be concerned with that area any longer!
Sorry, I've got to run, as I really want to call the bank....

Hi Kelley The wild pig did come around and eat everything that was left outside, which was the melon, banana peel and pineapple skins. I am glad I am not the only one that needs sleep with all this heat and work. Heat doesn't bother Ron but it took me getting sick for him to put the ac in the home so it will be cooler in here, now if we could just save money in the winter like I would like to do and not run the heater that would be nice, but Ron keeps it warm in the home. Bucky died last Tuesday, Wayne's neighbor, so soon Bucky's wife and Wayne will be moving on to somewhere new to live, meanwhile Wayne and Andrea Bucky's wife do not get along as neighbors and I have to hear every detail about that, it is all so petty. Ron tells Wayne to forgive, but he won't. I think Wayne's could solve his problems if he would take captive his thoughts, but he does not understand to do that.

I'm sorry to hear you were sick Marlene. I hope you're better now! The heat didn't bother me when I was younger, but it sure does now for some reason. I need my AC! That's sad to hear that Bucky died. That's got to be hard for his wife. I know what you man about Wayne possibly solving his problems if he'd take his thoughts captive and replace them with God's Truth. I know so many people who fit that description and they just don't get it either. I don't know if it's because they don't want to get it, or if they don't understand it's a command and not an option for us or what... Just another thing that makes me scratch my head and keep praying. Yeah I still have my OTA tv set so I won't miss Decades METV what guy from Digital FB I go on TeeVee Guyd FB saying it because FCC said that Direct TV can't add those years it is law really confusing I am glad my parents want me over my brother had his life and his family it be difficult Idon't think my parents get along with my sister in law Liz mom Kinda remind me tamer version of White Princess mini series just saying my mom is tamer version of Margret Beudfort/Elizabeh Woodville with my mother in law being Liz of York or Mary of Guise just sayin Thanks for telling us about that TeeVee Guyd FB page, it's great! Just shared it with my hubby and my son in law!Our visit with my nephew Scotty Matt and Holly All of us Netty, Connie holding Holly,Haley,Matt, Jazzy, Ron holding Harper, Scotty and me! Great pictures Lulu! Jazzy has gotten so big! I don't know why it surprises me. I know she and Elijah are close in age, but for some reason I always think of her as a very little girl. Weird, I know....Our Netty with the 3 little cousins My my cousin Haley, her mom Connie and me! Love the pictures!
Dinner Haley, Jazzy, and Harper San Diego docks Looks like you've got lots of great memories! All the first pic's are Sunday, these next ones are from Saturday..... Jazzy's birthday cake..... Opening presents.... From Other cousin Haley.... Wow, what a birthday cake! When I saw your video link, I realized why it wouldn't work. Let me explain why it won't post the way you did it... it's because it's a facebook post, not just a video like from you tube. Anything by facebook, you simply have to post the link itself, without doing anything to it. If it's a youtube or video from some other site, then you need to use the video link. Hope that makes sense. I'm afraid that while this board will show a post from facebook, it can't show a video from there.
At least I don't think it will show a video from FB... let me try something though...

Nope, for a FB video, it just won't work. All you can do is give the link to it so people can go there to watch it. Sorry hon.

Nice clear pictures Lulu. I like that blue dress you are wearing, the dress looks nice on you. I bought a new peasant dress and I wear it all the time.

OK I'm coming in here to vent 😡 I had my old coworker Josh watch our dogs while we were gone in April he had texted me a couple of times letting me know that our dog Daisy had thrown up a couple of times and I asked him what was going on and he explained to me that he was letting her outside by herself and I gave him specific rules not to let her out because she eats bark, sticks and twigs , grass etc and then she throws them up he knew she's had an $1800 surgery to save her life
and I left these notes on the counter and he read them and he's watched her before and he knows the rules I didn't get mad I didn't get upset I just said you can't leave her alone because of her surgeries ... after that he stopped talking to me ..????so it's been since the middle of April and I haven't heard anything from him until tfast forward to today where he leaves me this message after I had booked him eight months in advance and I knew just knew he was going to cancel
"Hey Kelley, so I feel really bad about this but I just found a huge issue within my calendar...apparently I was already booked for another housesitting the dates you need me in September...I was using a new calendar but forgot I had booked a few dates in an old calendar...I'm really sorry!! I tried getting out of the other one but they have no other option...
Elizabeth from Q13 is taking some of my housesitting overflow, I could see if she is available for your dates? Once again I'm really sorry...". All I said was ... " I had a feeling you wouldn't It's fine we have coverage for September ". I did I decided not to say anything more than that because I really really wanted to just go off on him! how rude! he's blaming me for a mistake he made I know it and I didn't even get mad In the first place
I'm so over people

It must be difficult to find someone you can trust to do housesitting. How are you going to work that out now? I feed my dogs dry dog food, Rachael Ray's brand and I give them vegetables to eat also so they don't go outside and start eating grass, because if they do they will throw up. They will eat peas, or if I give them carrots I soak them in grease from cooked meat, so they will eat the carrots. I will say a prayer about this.

Thank you Anna. We have hubbys mom watching our dogs. But originally our kids were going too. But they both had to cancel as they both got new jobs. So we don't have to worry about their dogs. God knows best. What upsets me is we were friends & he is basically lying to get out of it because he didn't follow the rules. Daisy had a lot of her intestines cut so we can't let her wander like a normal dog

Wow, Kel. I feel your frustration, and anger. You are a better person than I am. I would not have allowed it to get to this point. I would have just made other plans, and then when he texted, I would have spoken my peace, and then blocked him. You did, however, tell him that you knew he would do this to you, and rightly so! But, I would have told him that lying, instead of accepting responsibility, is not acceptable. Society is dictating that people don't have to be held accountable for their actions. We used to see that in some people, but it's like an epidemic, these days. You are much better off with not letting Josh watch your dogs. "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." ....I've been saying that to myself, a LOT lately. But, if he (or anyone else) won't follow medical instructions, then they have no business caring for a pet. OK..........I just re-read all of that, and I know YOU know that, but I just wanted to type......I guess. Lulu, I love the pictures!! And I love your blue dress too! And........yeah. FB doesn't let any of their videos be posted outside of their "realm". They are an MP4 format and you can convert an MP4 to a YouTube video, and I tried, but I think it's a pay thing on YouTube. Can't remember exactly, what I found out. I tried it a long time ago, unsuccessfully, and spent way too much time on it. Anna, I'm glad to know that the wild pig enjoyed the meal you left him. I'm sorry for your loss. Wow, if everyone moves away, you and your hubby will be out there all by yourselves?

Praise God, we got the loan and it's at .10% interest with payments of $129. We're supposed to close on it tonight, so I'll tell you more tomorrow hopefully. Thank you for your prayers!Nice clear pictures Lulu. I like that blue dress you are wearing, the dress looks nice on you. I bought a new peasant dress and I wear it all the time.
Cindy you did not mention if you got that bank loan or not. Yep, we did, but I'll find our more tonight at the closing or at least will be absolutely positive it's ours lol OK I'm coming in here to vent 😡 I had my old coworker Josh watch our dogs while we were gone in April he had texted me a couple of times letting me know that our dog Daisy had thrown up a couple of times and I asked him what was going on and he explained to me that he was letting her outside by herself and I gave him specific rules not to let her out because she eats bark, sticks and twigs , grass etc and then she throws them up he knew she's had an $1800 surgery to save her life and I left these notes on the counter and he read them and he's watched her before and he knows the rules I didn't get mad I didn't get upset I just said you can't leave her alone because of her surgeries ... after that he stopped talking to me ..????so it's been since the middle of April and I haven't heard anything from him until tfast forward to today where he leaves me this message after I had booked him eight months in advance and I knew just knew he was going to cancel "Hey Kelley, so I feel really bad about this but I just found a huge issue within my calendar...apparently I was already booked for another housesitting the dates you need me in September...I was using a new calendar but forgot I had booked a few dates in an old calendar...I'm really sorry!! I did I decided not to say anything more than that because I really really wanted to just go off on him! how rude! he's blaming me for a mistake he made I know it and I didn't even get mad In the first place I'm so over people Yep, when work actually becomes "work" people tend not to want to do it. It's easy to let a dog out and then go sit down inside and do whatever you want, but not easy to actually take the dog outside and stay with them. Reminds me of what Jesus said: ““I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—” (John 10:11–14) hmmm really makes what He said about Himself make a lot of sense doesn't it?
It must be difficult to find someone you can trust to do housesitting. How are you going to work that out now? I feed my dogs dry dog food, Rachael Ray's brand and I give them vegetables to eat also so they don't go outside and start eating grass, because if they do they will throw up. They will eat peas, or if I give them carrots I soak them in grease from cooked meat, so they will eat the carrots. I will say a prayer about this. I would think it would be hard to find people you can trust with your animals. The only ones I'd trust would be family, but most of them have their own animals to care for now. That's one reason we don't go anywhere overnight anymore. We simply won't leave them by themselves, not even with someone coming in to take care of them for us. There are places we could go and take them with us, but they'd hate it, so that's not an option either. I've taken care of other people's pets though, (they left them at my house) but back then, my cats were used to dogs so I could do that. These guys aren't so it's not an option anymore. Thank you Anna. We have hubbys mom watching our dogs. But originally our kids were going too. But they both had to cancel as they both got new jobs. So we don't have to worry about their dogs. I sleep different hours of the day and night also, a few days ago I was exhausted for days, I slept and woke up exhausted. I hope over time that your exhaustion gets better Cheryl, that is not good to continually feel exhausted. I like what you said to Kel, yes society dictates changes in people, how interesting to see that. I always say to myself, Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I have to laugh, maybe that is why I don't have any friends here that I can talk to and in this society the way it is now. Oh well I am not here much longer and in heaven I will have plenty of friends, and yes I am left with no one to talk to around here where I live, but then I would only be interested in Christians and I don't know of any of those rare creatures in my neighborhood. I live in a rough area, I think I should just keep my eyes closed.

I was watching a nightly news channel from the country of India and there they are getting rice that is made in China and made of plastic. It is hard to tell the difference from real rice and plastic rice, it is fooling even those people that eat rice everyday, but after 4 days of eating the rice a family had gut aches. One of the bags of rice said on the outside of it written in English, premium rice and another bag of rice said on the outside of it, produce of India. It showed one man squeezing the rice into a ball and throwing it onto the floor and the rice ball bounced once. So be careful about buying rice.
My Bible study teacher Michael, who is an intelligent man, he even has his employment in military intelligence, and has interest in science, said awhile back that there would be fewer bugs this year in the area where I live, and an increase in bugs in other areas. I wasn't listening that well to what he was saying, so I can't remember the reason why he said that, anyways I do notice less bugs in the area where I live and that is nice for me here. He is sometimes long-winded when he talks, sometimes talking about the same subject for an hour.

Kel, I've felt the same way, for most of my life.........why bother with people.... I've had yet another thing happen, where someone I made an arrangement with, and then turned out to be a no-call-no-show, and a liar. He didn't seem like the sort, who would not hold himself accountable, but that's how it turned out. I wrote him a private message, just this morning, and canceled our agreement.
I wish that I could have all of you, for neighbors, too.
