Sorry to hear Bruce is feeling so badly Cindy, will pray for him. Yes it would be good if he could stay home!
Glad you all are getting some rain.
Praying for you Ruthanne may Jesus comfort you. Thanks Barbara, I appreciate it. I'll catch everyone up on what's happening at the end of my post here...Oh Lulu, I'm so very sorry. I know you must be hurting and I wish I was there to just hug you and give you a shoulder to cry on. Praying God will fill you with His peace. My heart breaks for My cousin.... not in a good place this morning...but still managed to get my in and got breakfast done.... It's so hard to lose someone we love, even when we know we'll be seeing them again and never have to be apart. EDITING TO ADD: OH (((Lulu))) -- didn't see this about your dear uncle until after posting (not meaning to be insensitive by my post).
My deepest condolences to you and your family. He sounds like such a special man. Will be keeping you and your family in my prayers for comfort.
*****************************************************
Hello everyone. Cindy, is Bruce feeling any better tonight? Poor Bruce, does he experience the nausea with his migraines?
Okay, I wrote the above sentence last night, got distracted then fell asleep, and am just coming back to finish it.
(((Ruthanne))), love and hugs for you.
Isn't today the first day of FALL?!?!? (Or if not today, then tomorrow.) Best news in the world for people who live in the South!
Sorry I haven't been posting lately; am really overwhelmed with everything going on. I can't blame the boys anymore, either-- Timothy doesn't live here now, and Daniel is self-sufficient and only needs me now for lunch money. But we're still working on our bathroom remodel... the project that never ends... and other stuff. I have a little piano student and she's adorable -- so enthusiastic and tries so hard! Am also helping do the children's Bible study on Wednesday nights at church (it's video-based so not a lot of work). Taking another Precept study (book of James) - lots of homework, but it's an excellent study.
Yesterday, September 20th, was our 30th wedding anniversary. Boy the years have flown. As of today, we're closer to our 50th anniversary than we are our 10th.
Love reading what you are all up to. "Our" Jazzy is growing up, and so is our Levi!! And of course, our Elijah an Grace, and Margie's grandchildren. It feels like they belong to us all. It's fun, being in on their assorted activities thru FH.
Would greatly appreciate continued prayers for my sister; she is still experiencing symptoms and concerned about what else it could be (meds aren't working as she thinks they should).
Thank you all.
It does feel like they all belong to all of us doesn't it Lorrie? I guess maybe that's because in God's eyes, they really do, as we're all related and part of His Family. It's even a deeper relationship then being related "by blood" here, because we're all related by the blood of our Lord.
Yes, he gets the nausea as well Lorrie, along with all the wonderful RA symptoms once they kick in.
I'm sorry to hear about your sister Lorrie, and I am praying for her and will continue to. I've been praying for that exact thing actually, so will continue doing so. Bruce spoke to his boss yesterday and he called me today to let me know that they're giving him this week off as his vacation, so that way we'll still get a pay check and it will give him time to recover. Praise God for that! Bruce still looks horrible and I'm sure feels horrible too, but at least no migraine since the other night. Now it's "just" the RA symptoms. I have a feeling that his body is fighting the antibiotics and that may be causing all the RA symptoms. I know for sure that my body does that when I take them and it's not unusual for someone with RA since it's an autoimmune disease. So I'm going to call the doctor shortly and see if I can take him off the antibiotics. I really don't think he needs them, as she gave them to him just in case the sinus infection was causing the migraines and just in case that infection was bacterial. At this point it doesn't look like it was, and he will have been on them a week tomorrow anyway. (she gave him enough for 10 days). It feels weird to be even suggesting that he not take the rest as it's not something I've ever done before and normally wouldn't even consider. But RA complicates everything. I'm afraid that if he doesn't stop taking them that he won't be able to go to work by next Monday either as his body will still be fighting him. But, I'd rather have the doctor make the final decision. I just want him to feel better and start looking human again. I hate seeing him like this. Well, I'd better go make that call and then work on the bible studies.
I'll be praying for you Lulu, and you too Ruthanne!

So sorry to hear Bruce is feeling so bad. I don't know a lot about RA but from what you said, it seems to makes sense in Bruce's case to stop anti-biotics.
I don't know how true or not, but I have heard there is also a trace amount of mercury ( supposedly soooo small 25 micrograms ( I think I read somewhere) as to be very safe....
but in some medical journal....it strangely went on to say something to the effect that amount of mercury is unsafe, if you weigh under 550 pounds.
But besides that, if his body is fighting on 2 fronts, it makes sense to get it down to one, if possible. Again, I will continue to pray for both Bruce and you.

My bank made an on-line banking change, so next thing I knew my on-line banking was not working and the bank was not answering their phone either, so I drove to the center of the large city where my bank is, which I have never driven to before and went inside the bank. I wanted for a fifty dollar bill and the teller told me she did not have one, only twenty dollar bills or 100's. At 11 o'clock in the morning she did not have a fifty dollar bill in her drawer? I was able to do the other banking of putting money in debit to pay bills. I didn't see a restroom anywhere so I decided to wait till I got outside of town to go to a store and use their restroom. So I got to the store outside of town and was in the restroom and ready to walk out the door when a man dressed as a woman stepped in front of me and stood at the door for about a minute before going out the door, so I was standing beside him. He had on the ugliest black peasant skirt I have ever seem, I felt like telling him to at least wear a slip, but I didn't want to talk to him. I would not have taken notice of what he was wearing if I was not stuck waiting beside him to go out the door. He wore a white peasant top, a cheap plastic watch, and large plastic beads for a necklace, after seeing that I did not even want to look at his wig, so I didn't. Well that was my day yesterday.

Praying for you all. So much is going on...
The plumbers arrived at 9 this morning but the pipe replacement job is going slow because they had to dig deeper. The pipe was cracked so that's how all the plant roots got in. They left at 2 this afternoon and will return tomorrow morning. The water was turned off for just a short time and we have it back on now. Then a city inspector will have to check the pipe where it joins the city sewer line.
Still hot here. Good grief!

I ate to much fermented vegetables and had gas pain in the esophagus. Then I read this article, the rise of the fermenting revolution and what they do not tell you. Not all people are the same and some people can not eat much fermented food. At least now I don't have to make that anymore except the yogurt which two tablespoons is all I need of that.

Well as I told Barbara, I thought Bruce was doing a lot better yesterday. He finally had some color in his face and was eating better, and even seemed to have a little energy - not sleeping as much. But last night he had another attack of migraines that lasted all night again and is still fighting them this morning. He only has a few more days to recover before he will have to go back to work. I'm praying hard that the Lord will help him!

Brrr snow already.
In Mexico they now have a new toy to get their bundles of stuff across the border fence, they are using a cannon! I guess that is not funny but I did find myself laughing about that. Of course there still are the Mexican spidermen that have the ability to climb the fence.
Praying Cindy..

The plumbers' work was inspected and approved by the city so they filled the hole in. So everything is working good.
Went to a place called The Main Event Entertainment yesterday afternoon for our youngest grandson's birthday. He is now 12. It was really noisy but the grandkids loved it. There was bowling, pool tables, shuffleboard, arcade games and pizza!
It's rained most of the day here. It feels great.
Hope everyone has a good week.

Sorry everyone.... I've been exhausted trying to look after Bruce and not getting much sleep. He had a bad day yesterday, but was doing better by evening. He managed to get up and go to work, and still hasn't come home, so I'm hoping and praying hard that he's doing well and not in pain. Really I've just been praying for him constantly since he left this morning. I felt horrible that he had to go at all, but there was no choice left. Please keep praying for him. I hope this is over, and he's doing great, but won't know till I see him. Thanks everyone!

That is funny Kelly.
I like cappuccino. A pumpkin latte sound like something I would like to try sometime, have you ever tried a pumpkin latte? I think it is a more popular drink during the fall time of the year.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! Bruce could have lost his job, but the guys where he works have been great. They let him use his vacation days to cover the last 6 days he missed so the only ones he didn't get paid for where the first three days he missed a couple of weeks ago. All together he's been really sick for 3 full weeks. He did ok at work yesterday, but wound up with a migraine after dinner. Thankfully it went away for the most part by bed time though. When I got up this morning to wake him up for work, he was already up and getting ready, and seemed to be ok. (I was too out of it to question him much) It's a little after 1pm and he's still at work, so I'm praying he's still doing well. I sure hope he doesn't get another migraine today or tonight. I'll be so glad when they're completely over. Right now I feel like I'm waiting to see if another bomb will drop... Anyway, I know it's all the prayers from you guys that are helping him and I appreciate it more than I can say.
I wrote a little something today for FH and will go check the bible studies, but then I have to go get caught up on chores. I love you guys and am thinking of you and praying for you all. Have a good day everyone!
