I totally agree Barbara. I had a very long doctors appointment yesterday which has me kind of befuddled. After looking at my xrays and MRI etc this doctor told me basically that I've been misdiagnosed for the last 24 years. He doesn't know that I have what the orthopedic doctor told me about my MRI and other tests in writing, and what he told me was the opposite of what this doctor says. All the doctors agree except this one. So do I believe the majority or the one? He wants new xrays which I'll do, but I told him there was no way I could lay down for a MRI, so at least I don't have to have that done again. So now I have to go back on Friday for xrays. I chose that afternoon since Bruce has an appointment with another doctor then anyway. Josh just sent me a message that he had to sign for mail for one of the estates, so we'll have to go get that today too. I was really hoping to just get to rest today.

So this new doctor....
what did he 'think' you had then?
Did he say?
Or...
Was he saying:
you were fine,
had always been fine,
and it's all in your head?
Haha! I sound a bit like our resident 7...
with a 'bit of snarkiness'.
Well, I guess we will soon hear.
I have been rapidly back tracking away,
from a LOT of medical stuff...
they have lost much of their elevated perch in my eyes!
I am almost to the point,
where I do not want anything to do with them,
unless,
I break a bone, have some sort of massive bleeding, or some other
radical issue...
and even then, I am leery...
I had a similar situation tho:
I went to one specialist ( a long time ago)
with x-rays
he was absolutely furious with me???
He said there was NOTHING wrong with my spine
( I had been told by many many many doctors and specialists,
since the age of 12 ( with tons of x-rays) ...
that I have triple scoliosis etc.)
ON THE OTHER HAND
I went to the head of the Dept at Providence in Portland
on a Fri.
and he wanted me in for spinal surgery the following Monday!!!!!
When I said no....
He yelled at me,
that I would come back in a few days
crawling on my hands and knees,
begging for surgery!!!!
( I did NOT)!
So there you go.
Which doc do I believe...
10 to the one??
And....I can look in the mirror ( no x-ray needed)
and see the S curve, see on shoulder and hip higher
and so on.
I would not be opposed to not having scoliosis.....
but sadly it is not to be....in this life!!
Not to mention all the arthritis etc.
Another time, I was in Calif....and I went to a woman doctor.
and she wanted me in for surgery the next day
due to bilirubins being sky high??
I have no idea what exactly she was fixin to do???
But I said: No thanks to both surgeries.
And....I am still here 30 or 40 years later!
Another spine specialist who I really liked
counseled me...
( and yes,
he did not think my spine was in very good condition)
Nevertheless...
he suggested holding off as long as possible on any surgery.
He said that yes,
he could do it...
but....
once it starts,
it is likely to mean more surgeries
over the years to come.
I do not think every doctor is out for lots of money..
but I do think there are some,
who have incentive,
as, at least,
'a small part'
of their motivation to do surgery.
In other words,
they are not opposed to 'making a living'
and if they trained hard,
and it cost a lot of money and years...
to become excellent surgeons......
and
they can truly justify the need for surgery...
then...
But
like the excellent spine surgeon I went to
who suggested to try to delay as long as possible
He could have said:
make an appointment for surgery
and been well within medical correctness...
and also made money...
But he knew, the potential loooong outcome
and he told me.
I think he said about every 10 years
another surgery might be likely
( something like that).

Went to the transfer station today, a truck load, I am cleaning and getting rid of all that I do not use. i plan on things to do but my body always says slow down, I get too tired to finish the work and there is always a new day to accomplish more.
That Azure Standard that I get my food from is now able to go LA because they bought a small truck just for driving in the big city, they are expanding their drop off along the West coast Interstate from WA to CA. They don't pay a fee for delivery but the midwest and eastern states pay 8% fee for delivery, glad I am still in the area of free delivery, also those states must have a $3,400 minimun at each place they stop to drop off. They get so much business now that they are often out of stock on things to order, it is good qualilty but of course then is high priced.

 I've never trusted doctors very much. There are a few I've trusted, and still would if they were around, but most are gone now. Like you Barbara, I too can see the S curve in my lower back. In fact, it was feeling that and then seeing it that made me ask for the MRI and other tests back in 2017. I knew something new had happened as it had also gotten much harder to walk. Also like you, the doctor that ordered that MRI told me when he saw it that I needed surgery, the sooner the better. I thanked him but declined. I don't do surgery anymore!
I've had any number of diagnosis's on my back, most of which simply meant that they didn't know what was causing all the pain. They knew some of it, but not all of it. I always appreciate it when a doctor admits he doesn't know something. I'd much rather they do that than make up something! They knew I had two very bad disks that had blown out on both sides in my lower back. And like everyone else I had degenerative disk disease. But my first doctor ignored my hips even though I kept telling him that they hurt. He insisted it was my pelvis, but I knew it was my hips. They also saw some arthritis in my spine.
Other doctors really didn't try to discover why I hurt, they just kept filling the narcotic medicine. So I've been on that same narcotic, same dose for 17 years and it doesn't do all that much anymore. Now I have Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in my spine and just about every joint in my body, especially my hips, knees and hands.
Doctors don't understand God at all. They're always shocked when I tell then that the Lord always gives me at least 5 days a year when I don't need to take any of the narcotic. Their reply is, "don't you have withdrawals?" No! God wouldn't do that! This one then said, "Well I bet if you went 3 days in a row without any, then you'd have withdrawals!" I didn't reply, but when I got in the car to go home I had to laugh because about 5 years ago the Lord DID give me 3 days in a row with no narcotics, and no withdrawals! I tell them I don't take the stuff if I don't need it and I don't even think about it if I don't need it. They don't believe me although they haven't yet actually verbalized that. I went to this guy because I really want off the pain med. I've been praying about it for the last couple of years and I want to take something that's not a narcotic if possible. So I may put up with this guy for awhile if he's willing to do that.

I completely understand about taking narcotics!
I did drugs in the 60's while in college and so I know a little about recreational drugs and getting high and addiction....
Tho, I quit all of them, on my own.
Still, there is a total difference, when taking drugs for real pain!
Like you, I only took them for relief from pain...
I never took more than I needed,
and always took less, than prescribed.
And no withdrawals...
I honestly sometimes wonder why doctors, in some cases
are so ( I am not sure of the right word??)
I will just pick one...dense haha
They assumed narcotics would make everyone
that is 'everyone'
Sleepy....
But they had the exact opposite effect on me...
I am thinking, that maybe it was because my body,
used up sooooooo much energy
dealing with endless pain,
some relief,
gave me a chance to do some house work etc.
I keep trying various alternatives
like:
ginger, turmeric, Valerian, passion flower,
etc. etc. etc.
Of course, there are over the counter meds
but they are probably not the best, to take them daily.
So far, none of the herbal/food/supplements
are super effective.
But, I keep trying.
Endless pain does, tend to bring me down
and keeps me endlessly tired.
But...there you go.
Keep us informed how this new doc works out.
And of course, how the house etc. is going!!!

Let me put this way I expereince with hippie lettuce in high school after high school I got out of it LOL!
BTW last night I watching new Dr Phil tv network they have whistleblower doctor talking about gender indeintify these kids want change gender he blew whistle at some hospital about this one confused teen girl want be a boy because her parents pressure they want a son now she regret her so called surgery at age of 17 she is force get hysnoctery at that age her inner body totally whack out so if you get Merrit Media tv network in your area it really interesting nothing good news on last night so I watch that

Iranian Regime ordered the execution of
popular Iranian rapper
for supporting protests
against the Islamic Republic’s
brutal killing of women.
Toomaj Salehi, a renowned hip hop star
with over 2 million followers,
has been sentenced to death
for backing the Mahsa Amini protests in 2022.
The protests were sparked
after Iranian Morality Police
fatally beat the young woman
with batons after she was caught without a headscarf.
The regimes response resulted in
thousands of arrests,
with many activists subjected to
severe human rights violations.
The rapper was one of those arrested
and was initially arrested in October 2022
and then released.
In 2023 however,
he was sentenced to six years in prison,
avoiding a death sentence
following a Supreme Court ruling.
But now he has been sentenced to death
by Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan.
His lawyer has 20 days to appeal the ruling.
