Cindy, Seven is correct, using a "baby" voice seams to work in cats and most animals. You women that have a high soprano voice seem to work like a charm in cats and most animals. Try to be patient, animals seem to know if you are or not.
Using a Winston Churchill quote about "Mother Russia" waaaay back in the 40's or 50's, applying it to cats and You Women! You are a "riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma", and I John love you for it!!

I called Christopher's girl friend and she came over to help us. I figured the cats were most likely to come if she called them since she spent more time with them than I had. And sure enough, we had all 3 in the garage within a half hour. Stupidly, we didn't bother to put the "easy" one in a carrier right away. Instead we focused on the two hard ones. Well, she saw what was happening to them and when we tried to get her, she took off! We were out of time by then and had to just take the two we had to the shelter. But his girlfriend is going to meet us there again today and we'll try again! I'm not going to have time to post that new article today as I've got to get redy to leave now. I'll try again tomorrow. Sorry guys!

I agree Oliver, he lifted my heart also!! I understand being a little down, it is sometimes quite difficult seeing the veil being pulled off the true nature of sinful human hearts.
It is kind of ironic, I hated the COVID mask wearing, but now, the youth, seem to relish wearing any and all masks, but especially,
( now) Hamas gear.
But in doing so, we actually are watching the human hearts grow even colder. So masks on or off, can't change the truth, that God has told us would happen!!!

Thank you all for your prayers. Yes, the last two days were especially hard. I was so angry at the way Christopher's friend stopped taking care of his cats. I had originally told him I'd take them to the shelter but he insisted he'd care for them, so I mistakenly let him. Only to discover recently that all three had been left outside (they're mainly indoor cats although allowed out during the afternoon if they want to go out. They have been living in a filthy garage for the last few weeks apparently. I hate it when animals are abused and while they weren't actually abused, they were neglected and certainly weren't loved. I also went in the house and it's filthy too. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned at all in the last month and Chris kept it really clean. I'll be glad when the Sheriff evicts Josh.
It only took us about 5 minutes to get the last little girl cat. Thankfully, she did well on the drive to the shelter. Actually both girls did well on the long drive. (it's about a 45 minute drive to the shelter.) But the boy cat, Merlin, he was really stressed out the whole way there. Nothing I did or said calmed him at all. About two minutes before we got there, he finally made himself sick he was so stressed. Both of the girls just settled down and took a nap. I just kept telling them that they would never be cold, hungry or thirsty again and would have someone to really love and care for them soon, and till then, they'd have lots of friends. I was encouraged when we brought the last one in yesterday because when one of the girls happened to look up and see us, she told the girl who was getting the papers out on the cats that, "Oh, that's Ki Ki, (pronounced Key Key - my ex husband named her) she's the sister of Merlin and Cocoa who came in yesterday. The lady with us realized who we were then.
I have to run now as I have a doctors appointment and then have to stop at the lawyers to sign a paper for him.

BTW I just got email notice there is possiblty that I may get out for summer vacation reason is that they plan put in 5 g internet in all school classrooms andddddd school office in my building so possiblty I may get week of Memorial day weekend then kids get out on June 1 summer vacation here we come they be done by time of week of August 25 when I go back to school oh yeah part of Bond plan they put together couple years ago because hold off because of Covid

I am so sorry Cindy! I am with you, I hate it when people are mean, or neglecting animals.
I understand that sometimes, it might be impossible,
( sickness, no money and many children, etc.)
But for 3 strong men, it was NOT impossible!
I could be wrong, I am just speculating,
but perhaps they had money for beer, and watching TV?
More hearts have grown cold!
How hard would it have been, to have let the cats in?
If the place was already a mess,
then the cats certainly,
would not have added much more mess to it!
Well, praise God, you rescued them,
and they will have loving homes again!!
In a way, the way they treated the cats,
was not giving Chris much of a memorial!
He was their friend...these were his beloved cats...
it seems they did not even think of that.
I suppose one has to forgive them, but
they are all the more,
to be pitied...
if they do not turn around and be saved by the Lord Jesus.

Barbara, the Ivy League schools have all gone down the drain, as have all the rest. Its so shocking how far and fast we have fallen. Only Hillsdale College in MI and Grove City college in PA are still standing for traditional values and studies. I think thats the correct name in PA.
