This how bad Sierra Nevada going get via CNN reports 12 feets of NEW SNOW Blockbuster blizzard is slamming California with 12 feet of snow possible, 100-mph wind gusts A dangerous winter storm has arrived in California and will unload feet of snow, powerful winds and rare blizzard conditions in the mountains through the weekend. The storm will bury California under its biggest snowfall of the year posing a significant danger to travelers – but provide a huge boost for the state’s water supply and tourism. Winds gusted over 140 mph in the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada alongside heavy snow Thursday. The powerful storm will unload these extreme winds and even heavier snow through the weekend, creating long-lasting blizzard conditions. edition.cnn.com/2024/02/29/weather/california-storm-snow-blizzard-climate/index.html

One of my fellow Deadline Hollyweird forum posters posting update on the site they telling everybody hunker down and stay off the roads people are staying off the road the people up there Life-threatening blizzard conditions in Sierra Nevada leave drivers stranded in feet of snow As much of Southern California is getting hit with another round of rain, Golden State residents further north are having to deal with a life-threatening blizzard. Video shows multiple semi-trucks stranded in feet of snow on Interstate 80 in Truckee, which lies north of Lake Tahoe on the California-Nevada state line. The posted speed limit was lowered to 30 miles per hour and chains are required if driving in the area, according to road sign messages posted by local authorities. According to data obtained by KTLA sister KTXL, wind gusts of over 150 miles per hour were recorded in several areas surrounding Lake Tahoe on Friday. ktla.com/news/california/life-threatening-blizzard-conditions-in-sierra-nevada-leave-drivers-stranded-in-feet-of-snow/

I feel sad about the news about the wild fires, so much loss of life and so much nature burned down to nothing, so many people are feeling sad also and saying to pray. The blizzard with 60 to 75 mile an hour winds, must be a lot of people dying from that storm also, I don't think I will be reading correct info about how many people have died from the blizzard and the wild fire that was set., I think we will be reading about more fires in the month of April.

Look like I am not getting all the rain here Southern France is toooo! Rain floods southern France for third time in six months Severe floods have hit the French Southwest city of Saintes (Charente-Maritime) for the third time in just six months. Severe floods have hit southwest France, the third time in just six months. Charente-Maritime is now on orange alert, following Pas-de-Calais and Gironde. In Saintes, the river Charente is once again overflowing its banks. It is impossible to move about in the streets without beams. This scenario is being repeated just three months after the last flood, which affected thousands of homes. www.euronews.com/2024/03/05/rain-floods-southern-france-for-third-time-in-six-months

Here for some good news for my wacky state California going stay drought free California to stay drought-free through 2025 following 2 winters of epic storms, AccuWeather experts say AccuWeather meteorologists have high confidence that widespread drought conditions will remain absent in California through 2025, and potentially beyond. In the wake of a biblical blizzard that unloaded nearly 100 inches of snow on California, AccuWeather is making a major announcement: California will be free of widespread drought through at least 2025. "The combination of the abundance of rain and snow from the winter of 2022-2023, the state of the reservoirs, and what has happened this winter gives a high confidence that drought conditions will remain absent in California well into 2025," AccuWeather California Weather Expert Ken Clark said. This is good news for both the short-term drought concerns and the long-term battle against widespread drought. Years of drought took their toll on the state's water table, so back-to-back winters with blockbuster storms have replenished water reservoirs and quenched the parched landscape. www.accuweather.com/en/weather-forecasts/california-to-stay-drought-free-through-2025-following-2-winters-of-epic-storms-accuweather-experts-say/1627328

I agree its so sad. People, bad, good, Christian folks. Its terrible. And the animals, domestic or wild, the suffering hurts my spirit. I'm just an old hermit who lives back in the woods, but I can tell you, there are people who have been mean or let me down, the animals never have. That being said, the Lord has never let me down and HE has blessed me beyond belief and more than I deserve.

Praise the Lord Oliver that we can count our blessings from the Lord.
When we lived in Jacksonville on a boat we once drove to Fernandina Beach to see how it would be to anchor off of the St. John's River there and we saw that there was too much of a rip tide there, we also drove just over into Georgia where there were submarines and on that drive I was looking out the window and saw a black panther cat, seeing an animal like that in nature was a blessing to see. I say prayers for the animals that are dying in the TX, OK fires. So many letdowns we face while here but it won't be much longer till we see the Lord and all things will be new and blessed.

That playground of Rich and famous in Switzland that place LOL! Scientists are worried as crucial oxygen mixing in the lake has stalled. Lake Geneva, Western Europe's largest freshwater reserve, is facing a hidden crisis. Its water temperature is rising at an alarming rate - 4 to 5 times faster than the world's oceans. With average annual temperatures reaching a record 13.6 degrees Celsius, it is throwing the lake's delicate ecosystem into disarray. Fishermen see the impact of global warming Professional fishermen are seeing the consequences when they raise their nets. Some species are becoming more abundant or reproducing at different times while others disappear as the waters warm. www.euronews.com/green/2024/03/08/lake-geneva-is-warming-at-an-alarming-rate-and-its-delicate-ecosystem-is-under-threat

It has been cool weather, yesterday I got caught outdoors in hail, though only pea size, hurried indoors. I am wearing 3 shirts and two pair of pants inside the home to keep warm enough, maybe it will snow as it is snowing in mountains. Just got back from the gas station my old SUV always starts well but when there it almost would not start, old vehicles can be unreliable. Glad I was able to buy eggs there, dog likes baked eggs and I made chicken vegetable soup, dog liked that also, a little ginger, cummin, tummeric... goes a long ways. Dog is over weight.

This is rare man Indonesia: More than 20 dead in Sumatra floods, landslides The death toll has continued to climb after days of torrential rains triggered flash floods and landslides on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, officials said on Sunday. The West Sumatra capital of Padang has been inundated by flooding since Thursday, while masses of mud, rocks and uprooted trees tumbled down the mountains and tore through villages in Pesisir Selatan district to the south. "As of Sunday, 21 people were found dead and six people remained missing," Fajar Sukma, an official from the West Sumatra disaster mitigation agency, told the AFP news agency. The National Disaster Management Agency said more than 80,000 people had fled to temporary government shelters and more than 20,000 homes had flooded up to the roof. www.dw.com/en/indonesia-sumatra-floods-leave-more-than-20-dead/a-68485583

This is differnt volcano almost same area Iceland: Volcano erupts for fourth time in 3 months A volcano in Iceland erupted Saturday evening for the fourth time in three months, spewing bright orange streams of lava into the night sky. According to Iceland's Meteorological Office, the eruption created a fissure stretching approximately 3 kilometers (almost 2 miles) long between Stóra-Skógfell and Hagafell mountains on the Reykjanes Peninsula. Residents evacuated Authorities had been monitoring the situation closely for weeks, as signs of accumulating magma —semi-molten rock — beneath the surface pointed to an impending eruption. Hundreds of people were evacuated from the Blue Lagoon thermal spa, one of Iceland's top tourist attractions, when the eruption began, national broadcaster RUV said. www.dw.com/en/iceland-volcano-erupts-for-fourth-time-spewing-lava/a-68593601
