I didn't sleep much last night maybe because it was a full moon and also I had my window open for fresh cool air, the 1st night there was cool air in months.
Watching a movie Shadowland, C.S. Lewis, so not just the book, I am checking it out, don't know if I will like it or not, probably not I never was one to like C.S. Lewis books like many other people do. The problem with my cell phone why it did not work was because it needed an update, so after that the cell worked. I don't like cell phones, but I will need to have one, no getting away from that.

I love watching the wildlife too Kelly. I think seeing nature and enjoying it, helps us learn more about the Lord. The way some of the animals look, you know He has a sense of humor, and the great variety tells me that He's very creative and loves all He's created too. I should move to Alaska, that should be on my bucket list of things to do.
My cellphone quit working, it won't turn on and won't turn off, never had that happen before, I put it on the charger, it seems like sometimes it turns on by itself and runs down the battery, I keep it in my purse so I go days without looking at it, so I will see soon if it is going to work or not, I hope so because the time of the phone was paid for one year.
I bought a lunch to go today at the closest greasy spoon restaurant, one of those places where you can drive by it and smell the grease in the air and I ate it all, I kind of feel like a pig now. I have no desire to go back there anytime soon. If I was a lot younger, I'd love to move there too!
My kindle turns on by itself and so does my computer! I can't for the life of me figure out why or make either one stop it!
Sounds like a good lunch lol. It's been a long time since we've stopped for lunch, mainly because of prices being so high now.COOL LOL! yeah must be confort food restaurant that the 1950 diner is they always serve great menundo on the weekend that is yummy LOL! only on Saturday Sunday take longer to make meundo that reason I can't wait for cooler weather I know we going get some in SO CAL in late September which lower 70s and upper 60s I try out my Bates Mill throw I bought that product at end of this last winter I want see keep me warm on cold Saturday morning while watch College football on tv I can't wait for the cooler weather too!Cindy has been so busy lately running to the hospital etc. and now she is needing to try to catch up on other work. God willing she will be back here tomorrow. Thanks for letting them know Barbara. We had to do our shopping yesterday and were supposed to take Jenn to the doctor, but her husband wound up being able to at the last minute. That was a blessing since it turns out she has strep throat. My throat started hurting last night, but I don't think it's strep as it's not hurting THAT bad. We have to take Chris in for the paracentesis tomorrow morning so I won't be able to be here than.I didn't sleep much last night maybe because it was a full moon and also I had my window open for fresh cool air, the 1st night there was cool air in months.

I'm glad you found the problem for your cell phone. That doesn't seem to be the problem for my computer or my kindle though. My son told me that a lot of today's computers do that though.
Our phone hasn't been working for the last 4 days. The guy finally came to fix it today. I guess the line outside was bad. But I'll be calling the phone company back once it's fixed to tell them that I expect to be credited for the number of days I was unable to use my phone.
I hope everyone has a great day today! I won't be here tomorrow, but will try to stop by on Saturday.

Hi
My daughter is thinking about going to university next year. Shes a smart kid. Im trying my best to adapt to her being 18 now. I am trying to get thru to her about the Devil controls the world, but would like to ask for prayer over that and how I do it, because of course 18 year olds know everything....except these days, deception is on steroids.

I was expecting a delivery package yesterday,( last to be delivered, I always get that right before sunset) and it did not arrive so I checked my e-mail and that info was not there, a few days ago I was going to write down the order number but second thought why do that because all the info is at my e-mail, when the package of 100$ of clothes did not arrive and the e-mail wasn't there I gave up on getting the package without the order number, this morning I see the e-mail shows it will be delivered, so that is good but from now on I will always write down the order numbers on paper also. That order is from Blair clothes, I also already received an order from clearance clothes from Khol's, where I like to order from, because I get the nicest quality from them, but can only afford to buy clearance.
Watched an interesting video last night about a woman who lives on Svalbard island near the North Pole. She and husband have a nice home and snowmobiles so it is not like the way the Eskimos live. She found an ice cave or ice glacier, wow but don't blame her for not going into the cave, but if a person does dare to go into an ice cave it is beautiful to experience as I have seen pictures.
Well my morning has started the usual way, the visiting dogs have went home after seeking out to bother the cats, if the cats are going to get food the dogs want to be there first to eat the food.

Anna you could also save the e-mail in a folder, maybe titled something like: purchases? or whatever you choose to label the folder Well, I guess it depends on what e-mail you are using.... I use yahoo.com. but hubby uses g-mail
( so I don't know if g-mail allows you folders or not?)
That way, you won't accidentally make a mistake in copying it. And it quick.... On the other hand, you may prefer to write in...
It's just that, sometimes I get in a buying frenzy.... if there are big sales and that... would be a LOT of invoices to copy!!! arrrgghhh! I do write a LOT of info... so either way. :)

Wow, you have been in an ice cave
Save to a folder? I have g-mail, I could save it somewhere there. My computer stopped working a few month ago and I am using a different computer and this computer is loaded with what is to me junk that needs to be deleted and I delete away, but still so much there to keep deleting. Dog food was 15% off regular price at vitacost so I bought extra of that, the cats like the dog food mixed with rice. One time I bought some cat food and the cats would not eat it, I smelled the cat food and it smelled awful so I threw it away. Old dog likes to sleep during the day and be awake half the night. We go outdoors at night, a few hours ago we were outdoors and I heard coyotes, so wolves also and my gate was open, so it is that time of year when they will come down from the mountains in packs. One of my neighbor's dogs is in heat and she has been walking around outdoors at my place. She was destructive yesterday chewing on some wood and plastic water bottles and plastic bucket, I will clean up that mess today. I have to keep that gate closed. Saw the Supper Blue Moon at night the last few nights. Alaska and Canada always get strong aurora solar flare energy.

I have been using gmail for many years and you can have as many folders as you want and name them whatever you want and even color code them. I think I have about 20 folders. What I like about it too is that you can make rules that will send specific emails to specific folders. So if I get an email from Amazon that's about something I bought, it comes into both my inbox and my folder for orders. It makes finding stuff a lot easier.
Speaking of purchases, I'm also going on a spending spree lol. Amazon Prime as a service called Subscribe and Save. If you buy something regularly that's in that program, you save an extra 5%. The more things you order in that program, the higher your percentage of savings goes. So today I'm going to be making sure I get at least 20% savings on everything!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I enjoying looking at cat or dog graphics and videos. The ones that make me laugh the most are my favorites. Laughter really is good medicine!
I hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was good. We had to do our shopping, and then I had to clean my house, including vacuuming and shampooing the carpets - they really needed it! Jenn and her family came over after church which is always enjoyable. There's always a lot of laughter when they're here. Even when I call them, or they call me, I can hear laughter in the background most of the time. It's really great and I think it's why everyone loves them. They aren't Pollyanna's, but they do love and enjoy each other and the other people they meet. So they just kind of spread joy wherever they go!
Christopher's starting to feel better now. It always takes awhile after a paracentesis. He says he always feels like he got run over by a truck afterward. I looked it up online and couldn't believe what this one site said...or rather the way they said it:
A paracentesis doesn’t usually cause many side effects. Some side effects may include:
- discomfort or pain where the needle or catheter is inserted
- dizziness or light-headedness, especially if a lot of fluid is removed
- infection
- puncture of the bowel, bladder or blood vessels when the needle is put into the cavity
- Hypotension (low blood pressure) and/or shock
- kidney failure
The doctors are very careful of where they put the needle so they don't puncture the bowel or anything else. Since they have to remove so much fluid from Chris, their main worry is sudden Hypotension (low blood pressure) which would also cause shock. They'd have to start him on fluid through an IV if that happened. They always put a needle in his arm to prep him for an IV, so they can just hook a bag of fluid up to it immediately if that happens. I got to watch one of the ones they did recently. The surgeon and his nurse were training another nurse, and they didn't mind me watching. In fact, they even let me ask questions and basically, trained me at the same time! It was really neat! (well, except for it causing Chris pain). I asked him why they only take out 5 liters at a time, even when there's more than that inside him. The doctor explained that we all have 5 liters of fluid in our veins all the time. That's what is measured when they take our blood pressure - the pressure of that fluid going through our veins and arteries. So if they took out more than 5 liters from his abdomen, it would instantly cause severe Hypotension (low blood pressure) as there wouldn't be any fluid in our veins either, so we'd have no blood pressure. It could even cause kidney failure and death. Chris understands me wanting to watch, as he was trained as a medic in the army. Once, when I had to have surgery, I begged the doctors to give me conscious sedation instead of knocking me out, cause I wanted to watch!
Anyway, Chris is starting to feel better and that's great! We're hoping that the one he had done on Friday will be the last one, or at least the next to the last one. We'll have to wait and see if he fills up anymore. :bless week:

Oh so the idea is he will soon be done with the paracentesis? For ever, potentially....that would be great!!!
I am glad he is beginning to feel better, that is also good!
Talking about cats. our 1/2 Maine coon and 1/2 Norwegian forest cat: Bob.
He is such a ham! In the summer, lots of people walk past our place on their way, to, or from the beach.
I watch him run to the sidewalk, in order to be properly admired by his adoring public ( who ohhhh and ahhhh over him)
However, at the same exact time, our little female ginger cat, is hurrying 'away', as fast as she can, from the maddening crowd!

Yeah I deleted that about burning man because facts change depending on who I listened to, so I thought it was best not to post comment.
I had my ice coffee, now I need to go back to cleaning out old stuff from the small bedroom, once that is clean I can put sewing machine in that room and start using the sewing machine. I have old kitchen window curtains that are rotted and new fabric to sew new curtains soon.

Sadly, it most likely will happen again, but hopefully not for awhile. The longer between times he can go, the better. I think the last time he went over a year without having to have it done. God willing he will be able to go even longer this time.
That's so cute and funny what you wrote about your cats! I could see it in my mind and had to laugh!
It would drive me crazy to have a lot of people walking or driving past my house though. I like the quiet of being mostly surrounded by the woods and only having a few neighbors who also like the quiet. I've lived in big cities before, like Salt Lake City for one and Tucson, Arizona for another, but much prefer the quiet life of rural small towns.
Yeah I deleted that about burning man because facts change depending on who I listened to, so I thought it was best not to post comment.

I've got to pay bills today. I should have already done it, but haven't had time yet. Oh guess what? The mobile home park we live in is having a cookout next Saturday! Last year's was a lot of fun, so I can't wait to go to this one!

Enjoy the neighborhood cook out, sounds like fun.
Nice to see an update video about the dog Storm that went to the stadium and found herself a seat, she looks like my dog and she looks like an older dog also.
I have gotten some good enough deals lately buying food from amazon but today I was comparing prices with azure standard, which they are usually about the same price, so I was thinking it would be easier to order from amazon, but amazon jumped the prices way higher now than azure standard, so I will be going to the semi truck to get my food order.

Oh that is very good news about Chris! prayerfully it will be for a VERY long long time, until it has to happen again...if ever!!
I also have Amazon Prime but I don't know about the Subscribe and Save?? Where is that? Is that like you are on a automatic buying? or???
So Devon is homeschooling. AND I will continue to do my online Bible study here on FH
ONLY some days it may be a bit shorter or longer depending on what Devon and I will be working on.
I absolutely want to keep doing my Bible study... and I don't know if many here read it or not, but if you do...this is just to let you know
I may have bitten off more than I can chew!!! LOLOL
Oh well, nothing like starting a 'teaching' career at getting 'close' to 80!!!
I will be 78 in Oct. soooooo 80 is not 'that' far away..... especially since it 'seems' sometimes, like time has speeded up...
I actually expect to have some of my Bible study to be longer and some days shorter just so anyone who might read it...wonders what is going on with that?
Today, I am bring Devon a bunch of books and material to see what his preferences are to start. Here are a few of the choices:
The Physics of Einstein: Black Holes, Time Travel, Distant Starlight, E=mc^2 by Dr. Jason Lisle ( Christian astrophysicist)
Traced: Human DNA's Big Surprise by Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson ( Harvard trained PHD geneticist...also a Christian )
Several Bible study options by Dr. John MacArthur
quantum particles by Dr. Jason Lisle
perhaps this semester for music: an in depth look and study of 'real' hymnal it is a 'real' book hymnal LOL ( I actually have one...yep, a real antique relic).
geology: radiometric dating by Dr. Jason Lisle
and so on.
Oh and art history: I may start with Michelangelo
I figure his work at the Seaside aquarium, could serve as either marine biology or business or both.
We start tomorrow.
Literature will be Christian fiction entirely!
Oh and maybe, since he started Spainish last year..
( and I had one year a LOOOOOOOOng time ago)
we could probably do that online.
If anyone has some other ideas, please let me know :)

When I lived in Florida people used to be out in the rain and walking around and I did also, didn't think anything about it and when I moved to Arizona and was talking to some people and a few sprinkles and they were running for cover, that surprised me and I noticed others doing that also. I like to walk in the rain. My female dog used to like to play in water, then I got her a male friend and she saw that he used to run and hide when I ran water from the hose and then she had second thoughts after seeing that and then she also did not go near water after seeing him shy away from water.
