My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color and other people's words in this color
a list: starting with what the sin nature normally does or says and then what the Holy spirit says or does
A 'family' can be any mix of sexes, as fathers or mothers and any number of people, and no need for being a Christian spiritual leader
The Holy spirit says:
3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 11:3
and
4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. 1 Timothy 3:4
And note in this verse, one husband, one wife ( one man and one woman as married) though it is talking to many husbands
all of whom have a ( one) wife, not that one husband has many wives.
25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, Ephesians 5:25
In case I did not make that clear, God set the standard for a marriage ( family) in the beginning, in this verse:
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Genesis 2:18
Sin says: I am not responsible because I am a victim
The Holy Spirit says:
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
Sin says: You hurt me, I will take vengeance on you ( an eye for an eye type of thinking)
The Holy Spirit says: 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Romans 12:19
Sin says: My main aim in life is to be rich
The Holy spirit says:
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. Proverbs: 22:1
sin says:
I am too young, too poor, etc. to have a baby right now, so having an abortion is okay
The Holy Spirit says:
13 “You shall not murder Exodus 20:13
Done for today, I am having a tone of trouble with the formatting, maybe it will be better tomorrow.

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color and other people's words in this color
Sin says:
I am a 'good' person, because, I am not a mass murder, rapists, thief, etc.
The Holy Spirit ( God the Son and God the Father, thru the Word) says:
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
Sins says ( and does these things) but excuses them as not too bad, everybody does them, after all:
But the Holy Spirit says this list ( and many many more things)...
will keep you from being saved and going to Heaven
( unless you are trusting in Jesus work on the cross and acknowledge these are grievous sins that our Lord had to pay for us)
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do] such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21
Sin says: I don't have time to be a do gooder I have things to do, places to be, a corporate ladder to climb etc.
The Holy Spirit ( the Bible says):
17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. James 4:17
Sin says: I am strong, I won't go toooo far into this sin, I will indulge, just a tiny wee bit, and be able to stop, when its on the edge of going too far.
God says ( and this is even a believer having trouble):
15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.
16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good.
17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.
18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. Romans 7:15-18
And
14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. James 1:14-15
Sin says:
God understands, and does not mind a little bit of 'sin' the errors should be called 'mistakes. really, because 'sin' is way to harsh a word!
God is not going to make a big fuss, over a few mistakes
The Bible says:
5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming.
Colossians 3:5-6

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color and other people's words in this color
Sin says it's not a sin to 'look' with lust, just don't touch!
The Holy Spirit, God, God's Word, and Jesus say:
But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28
Sin says: It's healthy to express your anger, get it all out yell, scream , don't hold it in
The Bible says:
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. Psalms 37:8
and
Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. Proverbs 14:29
Also
for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. James 1:20
Sins says: God will choose me if I am powerful, have a great education, or am born into a royal family, am not of low birth or poor etc.
The Bible says:
26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.
27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,
29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
1 Corinthians 1:26-29
Sins says: I am a victim, somebody else should provide for my family
God says:
But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8
Sin says:
I have a right to be worried and anxious, because there is no help...
The Holy Spirit says:
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Sins says:
Grey hair is ugly
The Holy Spirit says:
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life. Proverbs 16:31

These are all good, but let me share what I don't understand and one thing that seems to be wrong:
I don't understand what you're saying here: Sin says: I am strong, I won't go toooo far into this sin, I will indulge, just a tiny wee bit, and be able to stop, when its on the edge of going too far.
God says ( and this is even a believer having trouble): 15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Romans 7:15-18
Are you saying a believer would knowingly and willingly "sin a little"? I guess that's possible, especially if they're a new believer, but if they've been saved for very long, they'd know better than that.
Even before that though, you say that an unsaved person would willingly and knowingly sin "a little" thinking they're strong enough not to sin too terribly, but we know that's not true. Anyone that's not saved, doesn't even think about sin because they don't consider anything a sin. If they want to have sex with 10 men all at the same time, that's just a normal part of their day in their minds. They don't consider it sinful at all, and they don't see "an edge" to go over. To them, everything is permissible. They could care less if God approves and mainly don't think about God either.
Or, if I misunderstood and this is all supposed to be about a believer, I just can't imagine a true believer having those kind of thoughts. Read what MacArthur says in Romans 7:14–25. (I think you have his study Bible. If not I can post it.
Or maybe none of these things are what you were trying to say...
When you said the sinner says God doesn't mind little sins, again unbelievers don't think they're sinning, and don't care or consider that God does or doesn't like or want at all. Anyway it made me think of this verse: “The LORD detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness.” (Proverbs 15:9) and “The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong.” (Psalm 5:5).
You said: Sin says it's not a sin to 'look' with lust, just don't touch!
Sin never puts limits on itself.
You've been doing well, but I don't think you realize what I was talking about when I suggest this study. Here's what I said about it originally: 6. Make a list starting with what the sin nature normally does or says and then what the Holy spirit says or does. Anyone could participate showing what things the Lord has shown them to do differently now that they are new creations in Him.
For example: Our sin nature says, I’ll never forgive you! But God says, I forgive you and will never bring up your sin again!
I can easily understand why you chose to post what you have so far, but that's not exactly what I was getting at. What I was hoping to do was show what sin tries to get believers to do or say, and what the Holy Spirit counters that with. Hence my example about forgiveness. Many believers, if not all of us, have a hard time forgiving someone who's hurt us horribly, yet the Lord didn't say to just forgive those who've hurt your feelings a little, He said to forgive everyone that's hurt us. But if you'd like to, you could continue with this to show the difference between the truly saved and the unsaved, or between the truly saved and false converts - wolves in sheep's clothing.

Oh, I didn't get it would be what sin says or tries to convince the believer about.
Well, I will change that.
I was thinking of unbelievers in the ones you pointed out.
More like at the beginning of there sinning in a new way.
Like I think some might try to convince themselves they are not alcoholics or addicts because they only will have one drink
They are good people because they 'only lust' but do not ( yet) have sex
Those types of thoughts I was thinking would be the start or maybe before they go deeper and deeper into their sins.
Anyway, I will change it to only believers struggle when sin talks to them.

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color and other people's words in this color
Sin says to a believer, art is neutral, so you can paint, draw, sculpt etc anything secular
The Bible says, no that is not true:
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Sin says: Now you are old, God has no use for you
The Bible says:
Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” Genesis 17:17
Gods answer was: Yes you and she shall.
Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh. Exodus 7:7
And
even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save. Isaiah 46:4
Also
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12
plus
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. Joel 2:25
And this:
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

I see. My only problem with them is that again, unbelievers don't consider anything a sin. A teen might think they're being good because they lust but don't have sex, since their parents told them not to have sex. Believers realize that unbelievers are sinning, and of course realize that they are as well, so the only ones we can legitimately talk about knowingly sinning are believers.

You said: "Sin says to a believer, art is neutral, so you can paint, draw, sculpt etc
anything secular. The Bible says, no that is not true" I don't understand what you're saying here because "secular" just means not religious. A house, or flowers, or animals etc aren't considered "religious", yet anyone can paint or draw those things and bring glory to God by their art. I know you're aware of that, so am wondering what you really meant by it that I'm not getting? Maybe it's because I'm not feeling well that I'm not understanding what you're trying to say. (Sorry)
My favorite verses about God still having a purpose for us in our old age are these: “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”” (Psalm 92:12–15) I just read them the other day so they were fresh in my mind.

I was thinking more along the lines of painting nudes, which can border on pornography, but many would claim an exception, because it is 'art'.
If it might cause someone to lust, then I don't think that is an exception by calling it 'art' ( even if it is painted with great skill).
I agree flowers, animals etc. are not a problem for a believer to paint, but there are questionable things ( at least in my mind).
Also, one can paint to get glory, praise, fame, honor etc. for oneself and forget, any skill you might have is a gift from God, and the painting etc. I think, ought to be done with the idea of giving God the glory
The beauty of His creation ( be it flowers, animals, landscape etc. Of course, some would say well that goes for the nude human body but if it might cause someone to stumble and sin, then I am of the opinion it should not be painted.

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color
Sin says to the believer:
Divorce happens, many believers get divorce, when things get too bad, its okay for you too.
The Holy spirit says:
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, Ephesians 5:25
Sin says to a wife: You have to keep nagging your husband, or he will never do what he is supposed to
The Bible says:
33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33
and
A continual dripping on a rainy day and a quarrelsome wife are alike; Proverbs 27:15
Sin says: You have a right too be worried, so many things are wrong and crazy and fearful.
God says:
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7
and
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,
29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:25-34
Sin says: When its time to relax, you can watch whatever you please on TV or your computer, I phone etc.
God says:
I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. Psalm 101:3
and
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
Also
No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. 2 Timothy 2:4
Sin says: It's only natural to swear when you are under great duress The Bible says:
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29

That's very true and makes sense, except I would say that painting nudes doesn't border on pornography it IS pornography!
You need to remember to state things like you did in your above post, because otherwise people aren't going to understand what you're talking about and will think you're wrong. Do what my publisher used to tell me: "write as though you're writing to children who don't understand anything" and "assume you have to explain everything."
As for the last one you wrote, that one is very good!

I will try to remember that advise.
Anyway, you at least did get what I meant about how sin can try to snare an artist by labeling everything and anything 'art', so it is untouchable because it is art....which is not true....
just slapping the label 'art' on something that is pornography, does not magically make it godly, and not pornography.
As the saying goes: A pig with lipstick on it, is still a pig.
In fact, most college art classes have live nude models, of both sexes, and sometimes modeling together. as a college student I fell for its okay because it is 'art'... but then, I fell for a lot of stupid stuff back then, sad to say.

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color
Sins says to the believer:
That to tell something bad that you know about a member in church is not gossip, rather its a call for others to pray
The Bible says:
Besides that, they learn to be idlers, going about from house to house, and not only idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not. 1 Timothy 5:13
and
Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered. Proverbs 11:13
Also
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. James 1:26
Sin says: You worked your fingers to the bone, so to have a little pride in your possessions is okay, it also shows how much God has blessed you
God says in His Word:
For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions— is not from the Father but is from the world. 1 John 2:16
And
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
Sins says:
You have a 'right' to be bitter what was done to you was beyond the pale, intolerable, extreme, unconscionable, etc. etc.
The Holy spirit says:
See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; Hebrews 12:15
And
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31,32
Sin says:
You are only human, you cannot help feeling bitter, angry, and wrathful
The Bible says:
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Sin says: This is a really bad day!
The Holy Spirit says:
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

The Holy Spirit says:

Good! But the verse you quoted doesn't work for the last one: The day the Lord made is the day He granted victory over powerful enemies or brought deliverance from the oppression of the nations (see 126:1–3). In the NT fulfillment, it is the day of God’s new creation, the resurrection of Jesus, with its promise of deliverance from “the last enemy,” death (1 Co 15:26). The Apologetics Study Bible Probably refers to 1) the day of deliverance and/or 2) the day the stone was made the chief cornerstone, which they now celebrate. The MacArthur study Bible If verse 24 is to be understood in the context of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, this day may well refer to the most remarkable day in history, the day in which Jesus Christ rose from the grave. As Adam introduced a day of sadness, so the Chief Cornerstone introduced a day of resurrection hope. It is little wonder that through the eyes of faith the psalmist concludes, we will rejoice and be glad in it. KJV Bible Commentary Here's one of the cross ref: “In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”” (Isaiah 25:9)

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color
Sin says:
You don't deserve to be in physical pain, you have been a good Christian, you've gone to church faithfully, devotedly read His word every day, done good things etc.
God says in His word:
12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12-13
and
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18
And there is this
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Sin says: You are not much if you are not physically beautiful
The Holy Spirit, God's Word, the Bible says:
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30
This could also be for 'her' I think
7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. 1 Peter 3:4

1 Peter 4:12-13
and

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color
Sins says:
You can marry an unbeliever, because you will have a life time to convert them
The Holy Spirit says:
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14
But then, Sin says: Well, now that you have spent several sorrowful years with your unbelieving spouse and are miserable, you can divorce them, it was a big mistake.
The Bible says:
To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her.
13 If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. 1 Corinthians 7:12-13
Sins says: You have a right to lose heart, all your physical beauty is gone ( due to age) your strength, and you have an abundance of diseases, pain, ailments etc.
God says:
16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Besides the day is coming when, this is a temporary affliction:
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
and
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Sin says: I have a right to grumble about having to do this, its just not fair
The Bible says:
4 Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, Philippians 2:14-15
And
23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23

Sin says:
I am in a hopeless situation, and done for, because nothing can help.
Jesus says:
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Sin says:
You are strong, you can stand secure and unassailable
God says:
Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. 1 Corinthians 10:12
Sin says:
I can hang out with my old unsaved friends, they won't influence me to sin
The Bible says:
Do not be deceived: Bad company ruins good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33
Sin says:
I can take a break from praying for this person, I have been praying for years with no results.
The Holy Spirit says:
pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17
and
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1
Plus
The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. 1 Peter 4:7
Sin says: You need to find out who you are, to feel completely whole etc. maybe see a psychologist
The Bible says This is who you are:
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Romans 13:14
and
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Also
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Additionally
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color
Sin says:
Believer you 'know' the Bible already, you've studied and read it on your own, done tons of Bible studies, So a day off here and there is not a problem
Jesus said:
4 But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4
And not to miss out on
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16
and this
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Plus:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3
Don't want to get to this point
If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination. Proverbs 28:9
Rather
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ Romans 10:17
Also
2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation 1 Peter 2:2
Consider this
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away Matthew 24:35
Sin says:
Placing yourself occasionally in the way of temptation, will make you strong to resisting it, and test your mettle, and strength of character.
God says:
A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good. Proverbs 16:29
And
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8-9
Also
41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak Matthew 26:41

Those are all great, thanks for doing them!
Just so you know, I've started to work on my blog again and when this board dies (which it mainly already has since there's only me, you, Kelly, Marlene, and Lulu that post here any more) I can just post on my blog. But as long as you want to do Bible studies, and want me to be involved, I'll do that with you here. OK?

I know those who post that are members has dwindled greatly and yet, I have noticed, you still get a fair number of guests each and every day like today so far it says in the last 24 hours:
1 Staff, 5 Members, and 228 Guests.
If you need to close, because of finances, sickness, family issues etc. do not keep it because of me.
I do like doing Bible studies here it keeps me accountable daily.
Still if you needed to close down you could email me from time to time to be sure I have not done any backsliding LOL.... It can happen..... it has happened to me in the past quite a long time ago now....but still.
Even tho the guests, might only stay a minute you never know, how God might impact them with whatever they were looking at the news, chat, or whatever.
Plus, some older members might come back after their backsliding
However.....
if you need to close down please don't try to limp along just because of me
Like I said,,we can email I can read your blog and I do watch MacArthur and several other Christians So I will be fine.... besides God is with us always...right :)

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color Sins words are in this color
These days of lockdowns, isolation, social distancing etc.
Sin says:
You are so deprived, almost like being in prison, can't be free, so why not eat and be merry!
God says:
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17
I don't know why this verse always makes me laugh. I know a weird sense of humor..... but I 'think', it just symbolic to remind oneself, of the damage gluttony is doing to ones body. I have yet to try it...maybe I should as I have noticed the pounds creeping back on sigh! But God understands symbolism and its effects, better than any ad.
The Bible says:
and put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite. Proverbs 23:2
Plus, we ought to spend a lot of time 'eating' this:
48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” John 6:48-51
I would say this is meant for a woman also:
A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls. Proverbs 25:28
Sin says: If you get a lot of education, your life will be a bed of roses and riches, and you will go to heaven in a gold chariot.
The Bible says:
always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth 2 Timothy 3:7
How do we get true knowledge:
Sin says: Go to college, study secular science, get a boatload of degrees etc.
The Holy Spirit says:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
And
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4
Also
Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:9
This, has always encouraged me somehow
I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation Psalms 119:99
Additionally
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

Good one! But I hope you realize that a glutton is not someone who's gained 10 or 20 pounds. it's someone who's thoughts mainly revolve around food and who lives to eat. Food is what they think of when they aren't eating and what they most want to do. Food is more important to them than other people, or anything else. In other words, food is the most important thing of all to them, even more important then God. A glutton is usually obese, weighing 50 to100 pounds or more over what they should weigh. If that doesn't describe you, then you are not in danger of being a glutton. Someone who's overweight is not a glutton (unless they're obviously well on their way to being 100 pounds or more overweight. Often people who worry about their weight do so because they want to look good, not because they want to please God or obey Him. Just as gluttony is a sin, because it makes food and eating more important then God, so is trying to make ourselves beautiful all the time, if we are always thinking of how we look, and trying to make ourselves look good so other people will appreciate us, or so men will want us etc, then we too are sinning by making our looks more important then God. Our country and much of the world seems to be divided between these two sins. Half the world is constantly dieting and exercising so they'll be beautiful, while the other half is eating themselves to death. Both sins because they're done in excess and extremely important to the person, more so then God is. Sad, isn't it? Oh, I found this and thought some folks might like to see what all it says, so copied it from MacArthur's topical Bible.
GLUTTONY
Christ falsely accused of.
Matt 11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”
The wicked addicted to.
Phil 3:19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.
Jude 1:12 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;
Leads to Carnal security.
Is 22:13 But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
1 Cor 15:32 If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
Luke 12:19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’
Leads to Poverty.
Prov 23:21 For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, And drowsiness will clothe a man with rags.
Of princes, ruinous to their people.
Eccl 10:16–17 Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, And your princes feast in the morning! 17 Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, And your princes feast at the proper time—For strength and not for drunkenness!
A part of the past for believers.
1 Pet 4:3 For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.
Caution against.
Prov 23:2–3 And put a knife to your throat If you are a man given to appetite. 3 Do not desire his delicacies, For they are deceptive food.
Luke 21:34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.
Rom 13:13–14 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Pray against temptations to.
Ps 141:4 Do not incline my heart to any evil thing, To practice wicked works With men who work iniquity; And do not let me eat of their delicacies.
Punishment of.
Num 11:33–34 But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was aroused against the people, and the LORD struck the people with a very great plague. 34 So he called the name of that place Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had yielded to craving. Deut 21:21 Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.
Ps 78:31 The wrath of God came against them, And slew the stoutest of them, And struck down the choice men of Israel.
Amos 6:4 Who lie on beds of ivory, Stretch out on your couches, Eat lambs from the flock And calves from the midst of the stall;
Amos 6:7 Therefore they shall now go captive as the first of the captives, And those who recline at banquets shall be removed.
Danger of, illustrated.
Luke 12:45–46 But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, 46 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Examples of,
Esau.
Gen 25:30–34 And Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.” Therefore his name was called Edom. 31 But Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright as of this day.” 32 And Esau said, “Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?” 33 Then Jacob said, “Swear to me as of this day.” So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. 34 And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright. Heb 12:16–17 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. 17 For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.
Israel.
Num 11:4 Now the mixed multitude who were among them yielded to intense craving; so the children of Israel also wept again and said: “Who will give us meat to eat?
Ps 78:18 And they tested God in their heart By asking for the food of their fancy.
The sons of Eli.
1 Sam 2:12–17 Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD. 13 And the priests’ custom with the people was that when any man offered a sacrifice, the priest’s servant would come with a threepronged fleshhook in his hand while the meat was boiling. 14 Then he would thrust it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; and the priest would take for himself all that the fleshhook brought up. So they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there. 15 Also, before they burned the fat, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man who sacrificed, “Give meat for roasting to the priest, for he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw.” 16 And if the man said to him, “They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires,” he would then answer him, “No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.” 17 Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD, for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.
Belshazzar.
Dan 5:1 Belshazzar the king made a great feast for a thousand of his lords, and drank wine in the presence of the thousand.

It's hard to say where I fit, because years and years ago when I was 5 feet 3 1/2 inches tall, I weighed about 100-105
eventually as time past, I got to 180 lbs
Then I dropped to 94 lbs
now I am around 5 feet, 1 inch and weigh around 150
I do not 'live' for food for sure, but do not wish to be 180 again ( or more)
However, physically, i do not have much energy for walks at all any more I used to walk 3-5 times a week, for a mile ( sometimes a lot more)
This summer, at the very beginning I think I took either 2 or 3 walks and that ended up being the total for the whole summer
so no matter what I do or do not eat, I live mostly in my chair and so pounds have been creeping back on
from back when I was 94 lbs To 150 ( or perhaps a bit more I do not have any scales) and have not been to doctors office for over a year So that was around my weight the last time I went.
I think I might be in a sort of danger zone of what you talked about?
But also, with covid restrictions stress etc. I think, some people including some Christians...
might get more focused on eating, waaaay more than in the past.
that was my thought.
Also
I did not know if perhaps it cost way more to keep this site up and perhaps you were keeping it open at an expense to you.

My words are in this color Bible scripture in this color Sins words are in this color
Sin says:
Relax, You don't have to worry about the devil trying to make you stumble, Satan is only interested in big influential Christians.
The Bible, God's Word says:
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour 1 Peter 5:8
and
The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” Job 1:7
Plus
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
This
so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs. 2 Corinthians 2:11
Plus
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Sin says:
Satan cannot tempt you to sin.
The Holy spirit says the devil even tried to tempt Jesus:
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil Matthew 4
Furthermore this how the devil even tempted the very disciples of Jesus:
Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. Luke 22:1
And this
But he turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me Matthew 16:23
Sin says:
no need to worry, your great zeal for evangelism and missionary work will guarantee you success with no problems or issues
God's Word says:
17 But since we were torn away from you, brothers, for a short time, in person not in heart, we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face, 18 because we wanted to come to you— I, Paul, again and again— but Satan hindered us. 1 Thessalonians 2:17,18
and
For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge Romans 10:2
And this:
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

A little pride is okay, because you really are smarter, work harder and better than others do, accomplish more etc. So it's not 'really ...pride' it is simply the 'truth'.
The Holy Spirit, God's Word, the Bible says:
Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall Proverbs 16:18
and
Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5
Plus
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you 1 Peter 5:6
This
I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant, and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless Isaiah 13:11
Also
2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips Proverbs 27:2
I only slept an hour last night and keep falling asleep so therefore

Also
I did not know if perhaps it cost way more to keep this site up and perhaps you were keeping it open at an expense to you.
you have got to be kidding, you don't really think you were or are obese and a glutton to you???? If so Twiggy must be fat too! I weigh 150 too, and I'm not obese or fat and certainly not a glutton. People who can't exercise (or even hardly walk at all, like me) can't help putting on weight. If people like us tried to "watch our weight" we'd wind up getting more diseases due to a lack of nutrients in our diet. I don't care how many supplements and vitamins you take, it's never as good as getting it from the food you're supposed to be eating.
This is how to tell if you're a glutton: Do you think about food constantly, even more than you think about God or His Word? More then you think about the news? More than anything else? If so, then you're a glutton and have made an idol out of food and out of yourself. Being a glutton isn't just about how much you weigh, it's about what's important to you. If food is #1, then you're a glutton. If not, then you're not.
Another way to make an idol of food is to eat all you want to and then throw up so you won't gain weight from it. Actually, that makes an idol out of food and out of self.
BUT there's another idol that's just as bad - it's when we're constantly thinking about dieting and losing weight, and what we look like. Again it's an idol of self.

Well, thank you Cindy :)
I was thinking you were going to point out that because I have now lost 2 inches in height that would make my BMI index even worse.
I am think you are taller than me, by a few inches, at least?
But no, I do not think about food all the time
but I do worry about gaining I also am hypothyroid and that can make keeping a proper weight more difficult.
However, one thing I have noticed is ( in the past anyway) generally people as they age they do lose weight.
and since I will soon be 76 but not yet at the age where I have noticed people lose weight Anyway.... perhaps that will happen to me eventually ( rather than keep packing on the pounds) should the Lord delay and I don't die yet, for awhile.
I tend to mostly eat 2 meals a day
Maybe once a week, ( sometimes twice a week) I have a breakfast But generally wait until about 11 or 12 before eating.
