anna That's really good that you're able to sew that well. My Mom used to make all my clothes when I was growing up, but no one could tell they were home made. She even made my dad a leather jacket. She taught me how to sew, but I hated doing it so stopped when I turned 18. I wish now that I'd kept it up.

You should be able to call the doctor that saw your husband and tell him you have the same thing. Then he can just call in the medicine for you. Hope you start feeling better soon hon!

Your mother had a special gift to be able to sew so well, I had an aunt that sewed well, she sewed a wedding dress for her daughter. I have preferred to be able to buy clothes as I was able to get nice clothes at a good price but now I see that it is not that way for me now, so I have put my focus on sewing. There are sewing videos I can look at. Actually I had wanted to buy paint supplies and paint along with a Bob Ross video, I haven't bought what I need yet, can't spend money this month as I have two extra muchos bills that need to be paid this month, anyways I started sewing and got interested in that instead, think I will this winter paint a picture though and if that turns out well I will paint to more to put on my walls and also do more sewing as that interest has kicked in. Gotta run outdoors and go..

Well, here is a thing...
Leonard has been having diarrehea which is really upsetting, as he cannot always make it to the bathroom and he has not taken the antibiotic yet because he has to go this afternoon for more lab work and does not want a terrible accident to happen at the clinic....not to mention how upsetting that would be for him....
Because, the antibiotic leaflet has a lot about it causing diarrehia for weeks and in some cases even months!
So he would have no change of clothes, or access to a shower etc.
And, I have not felt strong enough to do a wash and we are running out of clothes
So he may start the antibiotics tomorrow but is very leery of it suggestion diarrehia for possible months as a result

I like to watch POW Ponder on Weather, today he gave a 7 day national weather forecast saying, monster storm system, major snowstorm and severe outbreak in tornado alley, shows rain over CA. I used to know how to write shorthand, I liked it, I wrote using it all the time after high school, then time past and I did not use it and was not that good at writing shorthand anymore. I remember the roseries, I used to have two of them but wow nothing made of silver, never even saw a rosery made out of silver before, that was a treasure of a find for your mother and nice that you now have that in your possession.

So here is today's results... Leonard really really did not feel well enough to go for lab tests.
So he told Vanessa she did not need to take him He called the clinic and let them know
And....
He took the first antibiotic..... because if there would be an accident, it would be at home.
But As I just went to the bathroom a few minutes ago there was a lot of blood in the toilet So at first, I was worried about Leonard
However, he says that happens about once a month it has to do with hemorrhoids
So that was a little bit of a relief.
My cough, is starting to get worse and I am getting weaker but I can still put some broth etc. in a pan, for Leonard and I.
However, today, Leonard has not eaten anything at all. Neither one of us, can think of anything we want to eat.
The clinic said not to worry about the lab tests the order is good for a month so he could go sometime next week.
Maybe Hossanah or Vanessa will have some time next week, to take both of us to the clinic I guess we will see.
Sadly, this will be the 2nd Sunday in a row, of not going to church, nor being able to take the kids!

I would never rent out a home now days, I would sell instead if I owned a home. One of my neighbors an unfriendly guy recently died, he had his place for sale for about 15 years, then after he died his son sold the place quickly. I also would never be tied to a rental lease. I watched a video today of a man from England traveling in Russia, it ain't no better there, always that dull feeling from the past and memories lingering there, seems like a heaviness in the air there all the time.

It's so nice that you're able to do so many different things Marlene, and do them well! My Mom painted too and had some beautiful paintings. I loved them, but they're long gone now along with everything else from back then.
Resurrecting old memories is a wonderful thing to share Kelly, thank you!

Yeah, every year when Columbo day comes around, for a moment I double check with myself, asking myself what year is it this year? Comfort myself that I am not in a time machine warp bubble. I would not want the stress of trying to break out of being trapped within a warp bubble.

Fearnot, when I start feeling a bit sick, I will take raw garlic & ginger in a tablespoon of honey. Its hard for some people as its a really intense taste, but the garlci wehen crushed, acts like an antibacterial and the ginger is anti viral. I usually wrap it up in some bread. I had whooping cough once, was on antibiotics and it couldnt shake it, so took garlic and ginger and after 4 days it started to get much better. Whoping cough is normally a 90 day disease, but by the grace of God, gone in 2 weeks.

I think garlic is good but one has to hunt for organic and not buy imported garlic. I was able to get organic garlic from Azure and was able to preserve it, tried the next month to get it also and it was not available, I will try this month to get it and see if it is available or not.
Windy here today, I was looking at pictures of auroras, mostly seen in Canada or Alaska, the northern lights. There are a lot of storm chasers in the state of OK. right now. Nikki is showing pictures of it in chat.

Morning all! Hope you're all having a good week. Bruce's stomach is still really hurting him. I think he has an ulcer, maybe even a bleeding one. I made him an appointment with a GI doctor a couple of weeks ago but they can't see him until Nov 11th. He's having a computer appointment with our primary care doctor today for anxiety. Hopefully if they put him on a good medication for that, it may well cause his stomach to feel some better too. I'm sure glad I don't have to go through something like that and can let Jesus take my burdens instead of worrying or being anxious about them. Otherwise I'd have a bunch of ulcers by now! (he didn't work at all for the last two weeks and has only worked one day this week so far; in fact, he hasn't worked a full week since the first week of August.)
The Lord has kept our bills paid though, as He always does. He just totally amazes me every day! Seriously! He really does! I mean, who would think that a God as great as ours is, who has created everything, including us, and continues to sustain everything every day, would also care about every little detail of our individual lives??? That's just mind boggling to me! You sure couldn't ask for a better Father, or teacher, or comforter, or friend than He is to each of us!
I saw a neat quote in one of my commentaries today that I wanted to share with you all: When you return a blessing for an insult, you will inherit a blessing! The Woman’s Study Bible
Would you all please pray for Barbara (Fearnot) and her husband Leonard? They're pretty sick.

I'm glad you said what you said today, it is comforting to me because I am going to spend $ today and also have faith, in a prayer this morning that my needs will be met and like you, I don't feel anxiety about that. I have to drive to a town at the border. Ron is pushing me out the door as quickly at he can, to go and try to buy a washing machine, have it put in the back of the truck and drive home with it, don't know if I will end up with one or not, I have to get the cheapest one I can find, if that works out, oh well, I should be home before sunset.

Yes, we continue to be very sick...Leonard is taking antibiotics and I guess there is some very very small improvement.... but I actually thought there would have been more..
Seven when you say you are not in the faith... did you mean you are no longer a Catholic
but not, that you no longer believe in God, Jesus as Lord and Savior etc.
You did not become a non believer right?
I am working on reading Roman's Chapter 1 10 times in a row
It is taking me a long time because I am so sick,,,but it is one way to really begin to understand it ( or any Chapter in the Bible

Saying prayers for the prayer requests. I was able to bring home a washing machine, it was uplifting for me to have been able to go to a large store in a city instead of scrounging around a small town. Many Christmas trees with lights, I liked best the green tree with colored lights, but they all were nice to look at.

I have not watched news lately but today I heard that in a statement to national news, the white house sent out a warning to the public to prepare for coming shortages saying that, there will be things that people can't get at Christmas. Videos I have watched and comments I have read say that people are talking about shortages, so maybe that is why Christmas trees are out earlier on display, so people can buy early, there is probably a limited supply of the artificial green trees.

You've got to be kidding! I can't believe all the fear mongering that's going on! First they get people all worked up about a virus and scared to death because of it, and now they're doing it again with shortages; only just to make it hit home harder they target Christmas knowing that parents will get upset about not being able to get stuff for their kids. Boy was God right when He said that fear would be a big issue in these last days! today for the first time in a long time I feel a 'little' better...emphasis on a little.
I read Romans chapter I again today. Glad to hear you're starting to feel a little better hon. I'll keep praying for you!

Seven, I have heard that people who live in LA are commenting online that they smell sulfur in the air, do you smell sulfur? There has to be underground activity to start smelling sulfur. Not the smell of methane gas. If I was in that area I would be out of there like now. lol
