Yeah it pretty not cool when you have live through it we have swarm of earthquake in CA lately first it was Northern California around Bay area like this past week now it was our turn
BTW I did see Tammy Faye movie on HBO Max it is so good it was slow in part Jessica Chantlin nail Tammy Faye Bakker Minnosta accent and Andrew Garland did sound like Jim Bakker I think going be Oscar nods for both of them also I wouldn't be suprise if Vincent D'Oino get oscar nod for Best support actor as Jerry Falwell he play him really sleazy you like punch the real Jerry Falwell in the face LOL!

We finally got some 'real' rain, last night!
Which is odd, because in the 20 plus years we have lived in Or. North Coast, every month, we would have some real rain....
maybe not a ton in the summer, but every month had rain.
This was the first summer that did not hold true
However, we got rain,
and yeah, I don't have to water, today.
I have been waiting on this predicted rain,
so I can pull up some plants I don't want,
in my postage stamp size little small wee garden....
Now all I have to do is... find the energy to go do so....wrestle with plants that is
That is going to be almost as difficult as,
waiting for the rain this summer sigh!

I saw a video yesterday where a man was talking about problems farmers and gardeners were having with army worms, especially in the Ohio state area. I had never heard of army worms, the guy forgot to post a picture so I looked it up, they look like caterpillers, I don't see that where I live, then I saw that some of them have wings and I have seen that where I live. Every morning I open the back door of the home and there is one of those flying army worms on the wild flower plants that are there outside my door. Postage stamp size garden lol, I don't even try where I live, I decided years ago to just grow sprouts, which I have not done that for months, I did forage some for two different wild plants growing outdoors but in general I think that is not a good thing to do because good and bad plants look alike and a person needs to be sure about the choice they make.

Wow, Kelly, I'm glad you're ok! That would be scary to me! I suspect that's going to start happening more often too, just as the hurricanes, tornados, etc are happening more often.
Barbara, if you're really concerned about the direction of the church in that matter, the best thing to do would be to talk to the pastor about it. Talking to other parishioners isn't likely to change their minds, but they don't make that decision. The pastor is the one that has the real power in this case, so you can talk to him explaining that a number of others who are in the church seem to want to be more "modern" which concerns you and why. This way, you would be maintaining the unity of the church and but also protecting it. The pastor may even decide to do a sermon about the subject some time down the road, hoping to teach the others what the Bible says.

We had a good weekend. The weather's been great. The high Saturday was 70 and yesterday the same. I'm not sure if it's going to make it to 70 today though. But I love it when it's comfortable outside!

OH GUYS I got tell what coming on next MOnday Sept 27 if you are fornuate you get two Digit over the air broadcast tv channel in your area
One called Digi tv Univison going carry in alot of market mostly Brit show like Midsome murder and others
And other one is spin off of METV called METV Plus show more drama show like Police Woman TJ Hooker Lancer and middle of the night they show Our gang and Laurel and Hardy shorts
Then on next Friday October 1 going be Newsy it used to be Digial channel on only streaming now going be launch on Ion televion sub channel so I probably get KPX 30.6
You got do channel scan
I still follow that ET site that does digital channel on FB

The only kind of sort of issue, is the music...but our young worship leader does include one of two hymns, but also some Hillsong, and Bethel songs
and I think some of them are somewhat based on scripture
But maybe its just me, but take the refrain:
"This is how I fight my battle"
First off....what battle
why does it say "I" and "My" battle?
Where is Jesus in this battle?
and why do these types of songs,
have to repeat the refrain a hundred zillion times?:

he preached on false teachers,
the rapture,
and then the coming anti-Christ
last Sunday
and of course, sin and sinners
and their need to be saved.

Many songs repeat the refrain, Ron told me once that bothered his dad and now I notice it and it often bothers me also, one song that Scott played repeated so much it was annoying and I would hit the mute button until the song was over oh and about pastor Scott, he is gone now, no more singing, won't hear from him as to if their family got a home and he took down his online ministry site also, last thing he said was farewell and God bless. I looked up as to why songs repeat the refrain and this is the answer I got. The repetition of the refrain gives listeners a sense of stability and comfort in recognizing something they have heard before. idk maybe sometimes for some people.

Hi everyone, checking in.
Australia....land of riots of seriously ticked off people who have been on a leash way too long.....when you hear with your own ears the elderly talking of buying a sn*per rfle, you know its serious ( and kinda funny...but not...)
Vic Premier/GOvernor makes CA Gov Newsome look like a kitten.... 40 police used rubber bullets to drive away normal people. Threatening people with no employment unless they get jabbed.....the Mark isnt long away now...this I think is the warm up act... Need to shift into high gear to save souls.....WWIII I think will be a biological war, and its not far off.

I know 'prepping' is not the way to go...
For one thing, it is totally relying on 'self'
and leaving God out of the equation.....etc.
Tho, I don't think,

for storms and the like.
However, I have recently been tempted to
kind of....
sort of
prep, after all
For this reason....
since I buy some food stuff on Amazon
I am able to actually go all the way back and view my very first purchase
years ago....
But.....
what is a bit alarming
is if I just going back 6 mts
I noticed a doubling in 3 mts
and when I went to buy again days ago
another doubling Yikes!
But it's not just online,rising costs...
I have also noticed the very same thing
in regular grocery shopping
sometimes a doubling in
just one month!
Well, if that is to continue
soon, we will have very limited ability to buy anything
Even cheap stuff
( Or what used to be cheap-ish)
like canned tuna
rice
beans
nut butter
etc.
And so......I am tempted
to buy extra extra
( especially if on sale)
Also....
since our daughter is the manager of our dollar tree
I am noticing that
she is having a very hard time keeping the store stocked...
workers are as hard to find as hen's teeth.
Yesterday
her very last assistant manager
got 'sick'
on the very day
2 huge trucks were coming
She did finally have some workers show up to help on one of the trucks
( they are a crew that travels around
to unload the super super big trucks)
but then the second truck
the frozen truck
she had to unload by herself
( she has been having to do that a lot recently)..
Oh yesterday someone finally came in to help a bit,
with the frozen truck
But to keep the store running
she now works.... every day
no days off
for 12 hours each day
and is doing work
she used to do as a regular
cashier
then assistant..
plus
all the office manager work
she still has to do.
Unloading two trucks
( not with the use of cranes)
but lifting by hand
and we are talking thousands of pounds
for just the frozen truck
she is not a big burly guy
or girl LOL
I am not sure,
how long she can keep it up.
We are having stores close
left and right....
for the very same reasons
other managers of other stores
have just quit
they cannot continue
to do it all,
forever.
Soooooo that brings me back
to wondering
because of rising costs
and stores closing
should I kind of prep a wee bit?
I would much much rather be raptured
and raptured right....NOW!
But alas...( joking)
It IS God's timing
NOT mine

but also somehow,
its a little disturbing.
There is a kind of mantra feeling to it...sometimes to me
I looked up the purpose of a mantra
and here was what 'Study Buddhism' site said
"reciting mantras is a helpful – and side-effect free – method to calm down, quiet the inner noise, and generate a more positive mental and emotional state...
Mantras are phrases of words and syllables recited over and again as an aid to concentration on a beneficial state of mind, in order to protect the mind from negative states"
I don't know, but that sounds somewhat similar to the answer you received...at least, it does to me?

Yes I agree Barbra and I also don't know, such may help some people like two friends I had many years ago, my close girlfriend switched from going to church with me to following a budda type religion, she talked to me about it and she seemed fulfilled, and I never heard from her again, another girlfriend raised catholic quoted budda sayings before she died. So many people see christians as like what they hear mostly, which is prosperity preachers. So I think to each their own, whatever floats their boat.

There was news story on CBN news network talk about how kids raised in church are leaving the church I try find it pretty pretty good
I don't know about you guys on my local MY fox network they show episode where late Jane Powell play demetria patient being abused in nursing home didn't recongize her it was her so episode is probably be featured this week since she died recently if I know local Fox station

Marlene, that's so sad about your friends turning from Christ to Buddha who was just a man. But what's worse is knowing that because of it they'll miss out on heaven and be in Hell for eternity.

I know, if the Lord does not come soon,
there might be a chance
we will just rely on Him to provide sustenance
or perhaps He will not
which will mean going to be with Him sooner.
I do know, there have been times when I have seen great sales in the past
and only grabbed one or two
but the next month when, I wanted to get more
it was all gone, and not coming back.
I guess, that could be a good thing too tho :)
At our outlet store, they had lime curd
( I like it in place of jelly)
I bought two
then they were out
online the cheapest I could find was almost $9
Then, it went on sale at the outlet
but
only one was left for a dollar something
sniff
But jellies are kind of fattening,
so maybe it was a good thing after all LOL

My thoughts are that
(a) you need to pray about it and
(b) if God says to prep, do it as soon as you can.
I listen to Trunews, they seem to be by the grace of God, ahead of the curve.
The Devil is also working over time to split up families, so you can see when the Mark comes, how it could turn into children turning in thier parents etc to be killed as the Word says will happen....
Just a word on that - the massive pro- vaccine propaganda appears to have brainwashed people to the point now where unvaccinated people are now irrationally hated ( vaccinated people are "safe", so why the fear...it makes no logical sense ?). But this is just one example of how the devil is sowing seeds of division to split up the body of Christ.
So my thoughts are that we should pray even more, practice forgiveness and realise we have Salvation by Faith alone, and many people dont have that and are super scared and expect the govts and thier covid rules will save them...they wont and cant....it will just get more restrictive.
Please pray for my wife and child to be saved...they really need Jesus....

BTW I got my flu shot yesterday I was picking my medicine at local CVS they ask me do you want flu shot I say yes it only took about couple minutes they have person who get Corid 19 vaccine for first time I gave the woman encourage advice close your eye think of LA LOL! like Queen Victoria advice close your eye and think of England when she told her daughter Queen Vickie of Prussia German empire LOL!

I didn't get my flu shot last year and probably won't this year either. Not because I don't want one, but mainly because we "see" our doctors on our computer, not in person. I could make an in person appointment, but that would mean Bruce would have to take me after he got home from work, and he's always exhausted and in a lot of pain when he gets home. So for that reason I don't make physical appointments, unless I absolutely have to for some reason.
I know that they're now asking people our age to get a booster shot of the covid vaccine, but we've decided not to get the booster.

Well this what doctor friend told me he going recommend the booster shot for people over 65 have immuninty compoisoed system that could damage them if you do get Covid for now once 65 and over get it he going recommend to other people
OH yeah I hear Babylon 5 reboot and Law and Order reboot it better not suck on Law and Order mothership I still watch Jerry Orbach era I think Lenny Briscoe was King of NYPD cop

OH MAN I have eventful night last night while I was kicking at the crib a car chase went through the street on other side of the hood I saw whole thing LOL! Ghetto bird was up apparently stop at the house at end of the street I live on Ghetto bird told everybody stay in ME I went outside to see what goin on
