My words will be in this color today and Biblical scriptures will be in this color today.
Today, I will be looking at Genesis chapter one. And these questions:
What was happening before God spoke the universe into existence
What, then, was the situation before Genesis 1:1, and what does it teach us about God and ourselves?
Genesis 1:1 says:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
The 'beginning' does not refer to God having a 'beginning', but rather, the beginning of the heaven and Earth.
God is outside of this material universe He created.
God is also outside of time, He created, time and is not in it.
We also know, that God, the Son, was also before this universe was created:
5 Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. John 17:5
God planned to love us, before He created the universe.
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him, In love.
5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will Ephesians 1:4,5
and also
9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,
2 Timothy:1:9
In the beginning... is when God created: time.
Before for time, God was ( eternal)
Before the mountains were born Or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. Psalms 90:2
Also
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8
Plus
“You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me. Isaiah 43:10
There are secular physicists, who are supposedly, some of the greatest minds, brains, and have the highest I Q's who with the help of AI....
Are now, are pretty much convinced, this universe is a 'simulation' ( kind of like a computer game)
Well, they sort of have one thing, kind of right.... that is,
there would have to be a 'Creator'!
Christians could have saved them a lot of time and effort, ( no need for AI computations) just by pointing them to the first verse in Scripture:
In the beginning God ( the Creator) created.... the Heavens and the Earth.
And another help for physicists, and other secular non believers, would be the answer to their question, how did God do this?
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being
John 1:1-3
What this tells me, is that God created, the Earth and universe, to have a love relationship, with us.
He created Earth for us:
18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens
(He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited),
“I am the Lord, and there is none else.
Well, this is a beginning to the study on Genesis.

My words will be in this color today and Biblical Scriptures will be in this color today
Today I will be looking at this:
2.) Choose one verse or phrase from Genesis 1 that stands out to you. This could be something you’re intrigued by, something that makes you uncomfortable, something that puzzles you, something that resonates with you, or just something you want to examine further. Write that here.
First, for me there are several verses that I am intrigued by.
I will start with verse one, which I already looked at a bit.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
However, I think, if we cannot take God at His word, about Creation, then how can we believe any other part of the Bible?
Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89
Also
The sum of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting. Psalm 119:160
A person has only 2 choices, when they read Genesis 1:1 they can either believe, God created the universe or they can choose no to believe.
If someone chooses not to believe Genesis 1:1 but rather, the science 'theory' of the 'big bang'... ( which can be summed up as):
nothing and nobody Created everything.
Then, a person has chosen not to believe, a part of the Bible.
However, I believe, the first verse in the Bible is foundational to our Christian beliefs.... to deny God as the Creator, to me, is to deny God is God.
A chance random big bang from nothingness, does not explain the incredible complexity and knowledge, in the world, and the rules that guide the universe:
1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Psalm 19:1
And
1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. Hebrews 1:1,2
I will mention, just one so called explanation of the 'big bang' you might hear.
The idea is a enormous black hole in a parallel universe, spit out this universe.
I absolutely do not believe that!
But all that theory does, is push the time line further back.
Eventually, you have to come to the first universe, and are stuck with how did IT come to be?
So, for me, I will stay with God, as the Creator of this complex universe ( and it's true complexity, is being able to be seen more and more, as each day goes by!).
Genesis, is the beginning of time, space, and matter.
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host. Psalms 33:6
Also
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3
This universe is based on rules, order, and complexity..... these things do not happen spontaneously
A person can say:
Oh I am a Christian But...... I don't believe:
God created the universe...
Then, it can become...
And certainly NOT in 6 days...
And then,
Adam and Eve were not real people ( just kind of 'types' )
And I don't believe in a World wide flood
And I don't believe in the tower of Babel and the confusion of languages
And I don't believe in the plagues of Egypt or the miracles of Moses
and on, and on it goes...
Until, one might ask, what Do you believe?
Is the Bible, part myths and fairy tales?
That is a very dangerous slippery slope that ought to make one wonder if they are really a Christian.
Jesus speaking of the Old Testament said this:
46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.
47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
John 5:46,47

My words will be in this color today and Biblical scriptures in this color today
I am still looking at Genesis chapter one, verse one today:
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
So many people think, that 'science' is really a god.
They think, the 'big bang' is 'proven science' as is evolution.
Neither is true...
They are 'theories' whose basic purpose, is to do away with the true Creator God.
They do all they can, to demand their theories are the ONLY truth... and they mock the Bible as non-scientific fairy tales.
Yet, many scientists knew and those alive today know, they are lying, but some have their doubts of their 'science', because it doesn't add up.
But still, they won't allow any debate of Creationism, against their 'science' in any classroom.
They call Creation 'religion' and not science, and thus suppress any evidence to the contrary .
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, Romans 1:18
The fight is ultimately about the authority of the Bible. Creation is a fundamental basis for all the rest of the Bible.
Thus the first verse, is extremely important.
But instead, this has become the norm for many:
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks,
but they became futile in their speculations,
and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 1:20-22
Many scientists wish to avoid this:
1 Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. 3 Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Psalms 100
DNA is information, for each living organism. it does not contain information, that will change it, into a different kind of organism.
Mutations is supposed to be the vehicle of that kind of change, but what happens is loss of information, not adding to or an increase it.
In one human cell there is an astronomical amount of information Where did it come from? By accident and chance?
The complexity demands a Creator.
.If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?” Psalms 11:3
Genesis 1:1 is a foundation that as Christians, we need to stand on.
It is not necessary to see the Creator, to have evidence of His existence.
For example, we don't see gravity, but have evidence of it.
Cells are organized designed biological order, and those billions of atoms, did not just organize themselves.
Which bring me to one of my favorite verses
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14
I have gotten ahead of myself but will continue tomorrow. Done for today

My words will be in this color today and Biblical scriptures in this color today
I think Genesis chapter one is so important, because, if we don't have a Creator God, we really don't have a God.... and then, life really is totally meaningless, and hopeless.
But there is a Creator God.
Here is just one problem with the big bang theory.... the universe should NOT exist..... even many physicists will tell you that.
There should have been equal amounts of matter and anti-matter... and, they should have annihilated each other.
However, the universe is mostly matter with a little anti-matter. There are also, many many other such problems, too many to go into.
What God the Creator has told us is:
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
Psalm 33:6,9
God spoke and willed the universe into existence, He did this by Divine fiat with no pre -existing matter. in Latin it is called: ex nihilo, meaning.....out of nothing
Let them praise the name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created. Psalm 148:5
So many verses in scripture that testifies God is the Creator:
17 (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. Romans 4:17
also:
10 And,
“You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands; Hebrews 1:10
I find it mind boggling, all the juggling and extremes, some folks go to.....
in order to try and make what is the plain and clear 24 hour days,
into billion of years, instead.
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, 'one day'.
Genesis 1:3-5
I do not read that as one million, nor one billion years.
I read ONE DAY.
In fact, the Genesis Creation account, continues to say...
an evening and morning
( that would be a very odd way of talking about billions of years...to call them one day).
Also, in the Bible, the Hebrew word, yom, means day.... to indicate a 24-hour, normal solar day. Therefore, God did His Creation, in six, 24 hour, solar days.
Nor do I see a hint of evolution!
Sometimes, with such endless, relentless, mocking attacks on Creationism ( God created the universe, and everything in it)
I need to remind myself:
15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you,
yet with gentleness and reverence;
1 Peter 3:15

My words will be in this color today and Biblical Scriptures in this color today.
When God first created the universe, there was no death. Also everything He created, came into being fully mature. The answer to the question: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
The answer is: The chicken.
Many people want to refute the Bible based on 'science' but the Creation is not repeatable ( which in order to be true 'science, is needed).
Nor is there any evolution found in Genesis. No random or accidental process, instead:
3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3
End of story!
So onto the first 24 hour day of Creation, Which by the way, is mentioned in the New Testament as well:
6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
So day one:
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
Genesis 1:3-5
Most science oriented atheists, deem Bible believers, in Creation, as people of low intelligence, who hold to a foolish superstition of a Creator God.
Without God, you have: randomness, no purpose, chance, no intrinsic values no absolutes ( no absolute truth)
Nevertheless, the Bible from the first chapter does give the very basics that physicists deal with:
The essential elements of : time, space, and matter.
And on the first day, God adds light.
One might argue, that God had not yet created the sun and moon.
True enough!
Do we suppose God could not create light without creating the sun?
And tho this verse below can refer to Holiness, without sin
The symbolism of light, being apart from darkness, is also portrayed in the very first day.
5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5
and this:
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12
So I think, although this is the story of the physical material Creation it has woven into it a spiritual message as well
( note: the verse does not say.... we are children of the light of the sun):
5 For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness.
1 Thessalonians 5:5
This symbol of light ( with Holiness),
and dark night with sin, is found throughout Scripture:
2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.
Isaiah 9:2
And
9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. John 1:9
Tomorrow I will look at day 2 Done for today.

My words will be in this color today and Biblical Scriptures in this color today.
I will start looking at the 2nd day of Creation:
6 And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”
7 And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.
8 And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.
Genesis 1:6-8
I have to admit, that upon first reading this years ago, it seemed a bit confusing, and I wondered how 'scientific' it was?
Then, I began to realize my mistake... 'science' is not the 'god yardstick' to determine how TRUE scripture is....
20 O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called “knowledge”— 1 Timothy 6:20
It was not a scientist who wrote the Bible but rather God, the Creator.
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16
Much of 'science' like the big bang, and evolution is an atheistic alternative.
The reason for theories like evolution etc is ultimately because rebellious people want to be 'free'......
morally free to do whatever they want. Without a Creator God, they are free of any consequences, to any sinful 'pleasures'.
And so, they are rigidly dogmatic, about their theories, as being the ONLY truth.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
Not surprisingly, God would underscore, His supernatural Divine power in Creation, and that would be, entirely different from man's 'naturalism'.
So...
On day two God separated Heaven ( also in this case sky) from earth and the water in the atmosphere from the water on earth. Some of the water went up and some stayed below on earth.
But also, the universe is beginning to take shape ( very different than the big bang theory).
God placed a water vapor around our planet. God also separated water and land.
However, it seems to me, like the water in earth's atmosphere was more like a 'canopy' ( maybe like a 'hothouse, kind of a global greenhouse?) I realize there are problems with that which is why I said 'like' a canopy I surely do not know exactly how God did that just that He did, in some way and it was not 'rain' at this point.
Because we read a bit further on:
6 and a mist was going up from the land and was watering the whole face of the ground— Genesis 2:6
Tomorrow, I will look at day three:
But will end today with this absolute truth thought:
17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. John 17:17
Done for today

You've been doing great! Sorry I couldn't be here before. It's amazing when you start to see the many things the bible tells us about that our atheistic "scientists" didn't discover till thousands of years later! That alone proves the Bible is true, but then there's also the fact that archaeology has never been able to prove it wrong, instead it ultimately proves it right! Even when scientists have thought the Bible was wrong and were not able to find anything in archaeology to prove it wrong or right at the time, eventually archaeologist did discover things that proved the Bible right in that area! I love reading things like that!

I so agree, today I was reading a 'science' site, where scientists are 'trying' to create and AI to sort of mimic the human brain....
"How, when, and whether we’ll ever create machines that can match our cognitive capabilities is a topic of heated debate among both computer scientists and philosophers. One of the most contentious questions is the extent to which the solution needs to mirror our best example of intelligence so far: the human brain.
Rapid advances in AI powered by deep neural networks—which despite their name operate very differently than the brain—have convinced many that we may be able to achieve “artificial general intelligence” without mimicking the brain’s hardware or software.
Others think we’re still missing fundamental aspects of how intelligence works, and that the best way to fill the gaps is to borrow from nature. For many that means building “neuromorphic” hardware that more closely mimics the architecture and operation of biological brains."
but it seems nigh impossible.
Oh they are going to try things like dropping the temperature of the system to negative 450 degrees Fahrenheit, etc. The final sentence:
"Given the enormous engineering challenge involved in building a device of this scale, it may be a while before this blueprint makes it off the drawing board". singularityhub.com/2021/04/26/the-next-supercomputer-a-blueprint-for-an-optoelectronic-brain/
The human brain Complexity beyond belief.... just made itself? I for one do not thinks so

Working on day 3 of Creation
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
Genesis 1:9-13
God mandates the water on earth to become a sea and land to appear. It may be that at first, it was one great land mass, and later on divided into continents.
Everything changed as we know, during Noah's world wide flood.
I suppose one might even ask the Big bang/ evolutionists scientists what God asked Job:
“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Job 38:4
Sometimes I just read quickly a verse, and totally miss so many bits of knowledge like this verse:
He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. Psalms 104:5
One of the things this verse is saying is:
Isostasy or isostatic equilibrium
Equilibrium in the earth's crust such that the forces tending to elevate landmasses balance the forces tending to depress landmasses.
However, Jesus ( as wisdom) was at Creation
12 “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion.
27 When he established the heavens, I was there; when he drew a circle on the face of the deep,
28 when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep,
29 when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

I for one do not thinks so
Yeah, I used to really be into that kind of stuff and read it all the time; probably because I loved science fiction too and thought that sooner or later it would all come true. Star Trek's purpose was to get people ready to accept many of Satan's ideas, including an AI robot - remember "Data"? Seriously though, the plots behind most of those shows were very much New Age ones. That's true of most sci fi though. Of course I didn't realize it until after I was saved. Now I wonder how in the world I didn't see it before. Now I stay away from all secular "science" and sci fi as I don't want it contaminating my mind. I only want godly things in my mind and figure there's already more then enough garbage in it as it is lol. My words will be in this color today and Biblical Scripture in this color today

Very good, but there's one little problem. You quoted Proverbs 8:12,27-30 to show that "Jesus ( as wisdom) was at Creation." And that's not quite true. Yes, Jesus was there, because Jesus is the one who created the Earth and everything on it, and the Heavens and the entire universe. But He wasn't there "as wisdom". Certainly He did use wisdom when He created everything though. I realize that there are teachers who say that when wisdom is personified in proverbs that it's speaking about Jesus, but that's not true. Let's look at those verses a bit more: ““I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.” (Proverbs 8:12) Remember that one of the main rules of Bible study is: "When the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at it's primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate text, studied in the light of related passages and fundamental truths, clearly indicate otherwise." This scripture then, is simply saying that if someone has wisdom then they will also have prudence, knowledge and discretion. Next you quoted Proverbs 8:27–30. Instead of explaining it myself I want to quote some commentaries so it's not just me saying it.
Proverbs 8 describes the wisdom of God as a person or entity. Faithlife Study Bible
Wisdom is said to have been a craftsman at God’s side when He created the world. This attribute of God, personified as an assistant in the Lord’s creative work, poetically indicates that God was wise in what He created. Being at His side implies intimate association. Saying that God’s work is characterized by wisdom does not suggest that wisdom itself was the designer. God was the Designer. This is an important distinction. The Bible Knowledge Commentary
Strictly, God’s attributes are part of Himself. Yet, to the poetical structure of the whole passage, this commendation of wisdom is entirely consonant. In order of time all His attributes are coincident and eternal as Himself. But to set forth the importance of wisdom as devising the products of benevolence and power, it is here assigned a precedence. As it has such in divine, so should it be desired in human, affairs (compare Pr 3:19). Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible
Throughout history critics have denied the deity of Christ, arguing from this verse that Jesus (identified as “God’s wisdom” in 1 Co 1:24, and as the Creator of all things in Jn 1:3 and Col 1:15–17) is a created being Himself. This is based on a possible translation of the verse, “The Lord created me at the beginning of His creation,” found in some ancient and modern translations. However, the basic meaning of the Hebrew word for “made,” qanah, means “to possess” or “acquire” rather than “to create.” Of even greater significance is the fact that the context suggests that the passage about wisdom is not a description of Jesus, but rather a personification of the wisdom by which the Lord created the universe. (This is common in the early chaps. of Pr and is something that will again occur in chap. 9, where both Wisdom and Folly are personified.) Wisdom is the application of knowledge in order to accomplish one’s goals or purposes, and God brings forth His wisdom as He applies His omnipotence to the task of creating the world. The point of the passage is that if God used wisdom to create the world, then success in all our endeavors is greatly enhanced if we also choose wisdom and live according to God’s order. The NT authors see Jesus as the embodiment of God’s wisdom both in terms of who He is, and in terms of His ministry in successfully accomplishing God’s redemptive purpose. The Apologetics Study Bible
So I hope you can see from these that Jesus is the creator and that He used His wisdom when He created everything. One interesting thing you haven't mentioned, and I hope I'm not stealing something you planned on saying.
It's about Proverbs 8:27 NASB95 “When He established the heavens, I was there, When He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep," This shows that the earth is a globe and this was written long before humans believed that, and even before they thought it was flat! Let me show you what MacArthur says about the verse: The Heb. word for circle indicates that the earth is a globe; therefore the horizon is circular (cf. Is 40:22). This “deep” that surrounds the earth was the original world ocean that covered the surface of the earth before it was fully formed and given life (cf. Ge 1:2). The MacArthur study Bible

Yes, I meant Jesus used wisdom to create the universe, but thank you for all the info! And yes, I was going to point out, the earth is a globe ( by that verse, and so no to the 'flat' earthers).
But LOL I can move on from that :)

My words will be in this color today
and Biblical Scripture will be in this color today
I will continue to look at Day 3 ( kind of the 2nd half which states):
11 And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.
12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
13 And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.
Genesis 1:11-13
I see that God created incredibly diverse plant life, that could reproduce.
Another thing, I notice, is the plants, are created 'before' the sun!
Opps!
On the other hand, that would be another great potential argument, for '24 hour' days....
Otherwise, it 'might' have been difficult for plants, to continue ( without sunlight) if a day, was a million years.
But, if a day was 24 hours.... not so hard.
Also, God's ordering the Creation in this way.... shows it's Divine origin.
( life was NOT based on the sun).
36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36
And thus, it also demonstrates the reason not to worship:
the sun, moon and stars, which people tend to do to this day (like astrology):
2 “If there is found among you, within any of your towns that the Lord your God is giving you, a man or woman who does what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, in transgressing his covenant,
3 and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, or the sun or the moon or any of the host of heaven, which I have forbidden,
Deuteronomy 17:2,3
Nevertheless, God had already created a temporary light source, so the plants were good to go, regardless.
I also see there are 2 divisions or distinctions in the plant life. plants which have the seed in the plant itself, and the tree, which has the seed, in its fruit.
Again we see incredible complexity... because seeds are designed and programmed.... enabling the continuing replication, of that same plant organism.
There can be great diversity within each 'kind' but there are limits, in that, one thing does not change into another kind.
It should be noted that God added some plants on day 6 when Adam was created: to till the ground and cultivate, and for food etc.
5 When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up— for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground,
8 And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 (a) And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food....
Genesis 2:5,8,9
And, 2 more very 'special trees':
9 (b)
The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9
And an added addition was: those plants with 'thorns and thistles' due to sin:
17 And to Adam he said,
“Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18 thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
Genesis 3:17-19

But LOL I can move on from that :) Then I apologize, especially for stealing your one for the flat earth! But I don't understand about the wisdom thing because your exact words were, "Jesus ( as wisdom) was at Creation." Put that way, it doesn't mean that He used wisdom, it means He was/is wisdom and was at creation as wisdom and not as God. Or did I miss where you cleared that up? That's entirely possible with the way my brain has been acting lately! My words will be in this color today

Good one! But Ryrie explains that the kind of plants referred to in Genesis 2:5 are those requiring cultivation, which although they were created on the third day, they didn't grow until after there was a man to take care of them. Wiersbe says this verse on through verse 14 are adding specifics to what God had already done. In other words God created the plants on the third day (Like Ryrie said) and here Moses is just adding in more specifics about what God had already created. The Apologetics Study Bible says that too. MacArthur also says this section is filling in the details. So it looks like the plants were already there, just waiting for God to create Adam before they grew. I won't comment on it in case you're planning to, but I've always found verse 6 fascinating: “and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground—” (Genesis 2:5–6) I wonder if that will happen on the new earth God makes for us, and if we'll get to see it happening?

My words will be in this color today and Biblical Scriptures in this color today
Today, I will be looking at Day 4 of Creation.
14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years,
15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so.
16 And God made the two great lights— the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night— and the stars.
17 And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
18 to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
Genesis 1:14-19
For the past year or so, I have been painting nebulae, galaxies, etc. in awe of God's Creation of the universe.
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Psalm 8:3,4
Of course, someone is bound to bring up, how fast light travels as proof of billions of years for the universe.
You can do that, IF you neglect to acknowledge that God can do whatever He chooses!
He is outside of time, God created time, God could have sped time up , a billion times faster at Creation, or even made it instantaneous etc.
Nor does scripture allow for God to have just started the process, and then over billions of years, the process of Creation, grew.
God 'spoke' and it was done, complete and completed.
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host. 7 He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap; he puts the deeps in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him! 9 For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. Genesis 33:6-9
It stood firm, NOT it evolved over billions of years.
So God made lights to divide day from night.
Again, that would be very odd for those who try to make the Creation week, into billions of years, instead of one 24 hour day ( with a period of light and darkness). How does one divide a billion years into light periods and dark periods?
God is the Creator of 'light' not the sun and stars He created them, to give off light.
However, they were also to be signs for the seasons, years etc. to divide time.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his steadfast love endures forever;
4 to him who alone does great wonders, for his steadfast love endures forever;
5 to him who by understanding made the heavens, for his steadfast love endures forever;
6 to him who spread out the earth above the waters, for his steadfast love endures forever;
7 to him who made the great lights, for his steadfast love endures forever;
8 the sun to rule over the day, for his steadfast love endures forever;
9 the moon and stars to rule over the night, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Psalm 136:3-9

No I wrote it wrong...... about Jesus as wisdom....
I was 'thinking' in my mind, as He used wisdom.....
but since I had not slept even a wink, and have not been sleeping very well, and have been falling asleep.... so that I have not been able to re-read what I write as carefully, as I would like, to catch weird things like that.... it slipped by.
Sorry....but that's why I have you as my proof reader... Well....kind of :)
Actually, it's been strange even when I do get a night of sleep ( more or less) I am often still tired it's like I am catching up on all the sleep I missed arrgghhh.

Actually, it's been strange even when I do get a night of sleep ( more or less) I am often still tired it's like I am catching up on all the sleep I missed arrgghhh. I understand and know what you mean about "catching up" on missed sleep. I got very little sleep the first 15 years I was disabled due to pain. I hated bed time and literally dreaded going to bed because I knew how awful I'd feel when I woke up in a couple of hours. But then on April 12th, 2015 I started sleeping sitting up and it changed everything! I slept like a rock every night, rarely waking up for any reason and would sleep for at least 12 hours every night! I figured my body was trying to make up for all the sleep I hadn't had for those first 15 years. I continued to sleep for 12 hours every night for 2 and a half years. Then I was finally able to start waking up after 10 hours and that lasted another 6 months. So that's a total of 3 years. Sadly by then my back had gotten much worse and pain started bothering me at night some times. But even then the pain wasn't anywhere near as bad as it used to be, and still isn't to this day. As you know, on the weekends, I do the 'weekend' bible Study. :) So I will be back on Monday to work on Creation day 5. Yep I know. Hope you had a good mother's day!

My words will be in this color today and Biblical Scriptures will be in this color today.
Today, I am looking at Creation day 5.
Skeptics of a young earth, often point to the fact, that material things, look.... old.
One of the facts, skeptics are either not aware of, or are not considering, is that God created everything in it's .... mature form.
20 Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.”
21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
Genesis 1:21-23
On day 2 God created the heaven and the seas, and now on day five He is populating them, with living creatures, that have a type of consciousness and ability to reproduce.
First the water with sea creatures, and then the air with birds. Unlike the plants, created the day before, animals can move from place to place.
They were created instantly, not over eons of time.
It's interesting that God mentions the great sea monsters. Here is one:
41 “Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?
2 “Can you put a ope in his nose Or pierce his jaw with a hook?
3 “Will he make many supplications to you, Or will he speak to you soft words?
4 “Will he make a covenant with you? Will you take him for a servant forever?
5 “Will you play with him as with a bird, Or will you bind him for your maidens?
6 “Will the traders bargain over him? Will they divide him among the merchants?
7 “Can you fill his skin with harpoons, Or his head with fishing spears?
8 “Lay your hand on him; Remember the battle; you will not do it again!
9 “Behold, your expectation is false; Will you be laid low even at the sight of him?
10 “No one is so fierce that he dares to arouse him; Who then is he that can stand before Me?
Job 41:1-10
I am pretty sure, the answer is: No! Because, Leviathan is a 'sea monster' ( maybe a huge dinosaur)
and
Praise the Lord from the earth, Sea monsters and all deeps; Psalms 148:7
A sea monster is also mentioned here:
“12 Am I the sea, or the sea monster, That You set a guard over me? Job 7:12
And also, this interesting verse:
In that day the Lord will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea. Isaiah 27:1
The sea monsters became symbols of evils.
Also I note the phrase: 'after its kind'.
So the DNA information, is coded for 'kinds'...
However, not for movement withing different kinds.... although.... there can be tremendous variation within each species.
Living creatures like this ( birds, and fish etc.) are able to reproduce...
( as well as, keep themselves alive... until death... and also, have the ability to repair a lot of damage... up to a point.)
Life is not and was not some accidental random chance, it is so vastly complex, that in essence, there is no way possible, it 'just happened'.
Done for Today.

Done for Today.
good one! But I have a question for you. Are you typing out the scriptures or are you copying them from one of the bible websites? The reason I ask is partly because I hate to see you take up your time typing them instead of just copying the scriptures and partly because if you copy them there won't be any mistakes. Let me show you what you wrote here and I'll underline the part that stands out: 41 “Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord? 2 “Can you put a ope in his nose, Or pierce his jaw with a hook? (Job 41:1–2) Here's what they actually say: ““Can you pull in the leviathan with a fishhook or tie down his tongue with a rope? Can you put a cord through his nose or pierce his jaw with a hook?” (Job 41:1–2)
You could cut down all the time you spend typing each verse out if you just copied it and pasted it into your post. I know you don't like to write in regular sentences for some reason, but you wouldn't have to even copying them and pasting them here. Once you pasted it into your post you could arrange it however you wanted, simply by putting the cursor in front of the word you want on the next line and clicking enter on your keyboard. Then it wouldn't take you as long to do the study.
I think most kids enjoy hearing about Leviathan. I know all my grandkids did. They liked to talk about what he might have looked like going by the description God gives. There's actually a number of different opinions about what Leviathan was. I prefer the dinosaur idea, and that's what gets the kids excited too. Here's what MacArthur says about it:
Leviathan. This term appears in 4 other OT texts (Job 3:8; Psalm 74:14; Psalm 104:26; Is 27:1). In each case Leviathan refers to some mighty creature who can overwhelm man but who is no match for God. Since this creature lives in the sea among ships (Ps 104:26), some form of sea monster, possibly an ancient dinosaur, is in view. Some feel it was a crocodile, which had scaly hide (Job 41:15), terrible teeth (Job 41:14) and speed in the water (Job 41:32). But crocodiles are not sea creatures, and clearly this one was (Job 41:31). Some have thought it was a killer whale or a great white shark, because he is the ultimate killer beast over all other proud beasts (Job 41:34). It could also have been some sea-going dinosaur. The MacArthur study Bible .

I copy them from Bible Gateway.
I 'think' what happened yesterday...... was one of the many times I copied, and then uploaded, whatever I have written..... Because, I have lost, in the past, all or most of what I spent and hour or more writing....
it doubled my writing ( I hit paste by accident) and then, I had to figure out where to delete but I was so tired I deleted more or less, about 10 times and again, when I re-read what I wrote, I just missed, the fact, I had deleted part of the Biblical quote....
But no, I have never written out Bible quotes by hand, I always copy and paste from Biblegateway.
That was just a crazy day, of sleepy endless mistakes . I almost never paste what I have copied by mistake ( maybe once or twice before) but yesterday was unusual.
Sorry..... I try to catch such mistakes, but I don't always arrgghhhh

My words will be in this color and Biblical Scriptures in this color. And the quotes from other people will be in this color.
Today, I am looking and studying Day 6 of Genesis chapter one:
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so.
25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29 Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so.
31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. Genesis 1:26-31
It is on this day 6 that God makes man.
I have read on several different sites about: genetic entropy.
We are not evolving 'up', but rather, this is what is happening:
"the genetic degeneration of living things". www.geneticentropy.org/whats-genetic-entropy
Furthermore:
"Why should you believe in creation, and not evolution? I mean, scientifically speaking. Haven’t we proven that evolution is a fact?
Did you know that for every generation that passes, more and more mistakes are piling up in the human genome? This means your DNA has more mistakes than your parent’s DNA, which has more mistakes than their parents’ DNA, which has more mistakes than their parents,....
This leads to what is known as “genetic entropy.”
This means that each generation carries all the mutations of previous generations, plus its own new mutations. And with the high mutation rate, genetic entropy is increasing quickly.
In fact, it is increasing so fast there is no way humans have been on the planet for millions of years, like evolution suggests. Our genetic code would be so burdened with mutations, we would be such a mess that we would be extinct! creationsuperstore.com/the-code-of-life-and-genetic-entropy-by-david-rives/
There are many other sites like:
Answers in Genesis,
one of my 'go-to' sites for such info, if one wanted to research this more.
In any case, the devil has managed to make, even many bible believing Christians, believe in: the evolutionary lie.
That does not change the absolute fact, that Genesis chapter one, is God's word, and we are warned:
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.
Revelation 22:18,19
So why does evolution seem good to sinners:
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good. Psalms 14:1
The first thing God created on day 6 was land animals, (having created the air and sea creatures on day 5). And how does God do this Creating?
He 'speaks' them into existence, instantaneously: "God said".
Scripture divides the animals into categories:
Animals that can be domesticated for human usefulness, like: cattle. creeping things, like: snakes, lizards, amphibians, insects etc. beasts of the earth, i.e. every living thing that moves on the earth: like: hippos, lions, giraffes, etc.
Someone might be confused though by the words: "Let the earth bring forth".
Animals and the earth have the same elements, I think is the meaning here. But not only animals, humans also.
When bodies decompose, they go back to the elements, the same atomic particles, as in the earth, Therefore the phrase from scripture: 'dust to dust'.
By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:19
And we see the repetition of the words: "After their kind". In those 3 words, I think, is a big 'hint': No evolution!
There is variety within each 'kind' but no evolving from one, into another.
I will look at day 6, more tomorrow. Done for today

Good job as always! I love God's story of creation! You do a good job of explaining it too. I can'[t remember if you have MacArthur's Study Bible or not, but I like what he says about "after their kind" too. I had to go back to verse 11 to see what he said about it as he doesn't repeat it for each verse:
1:11, 12 after their kind. God set in motion a providential process whereby the vegetable kingdom could reproduce through seeds which would maintain each one’s unique characteristics. The same phrase is used to describe the perpetuating reproduction of animals within their created species (vv. 21, 24, 25), and indicates that evolution, which proposes reproduction across species lines, is a false explanation of origins. The MacArthur study Bible
I have a feeling that you've read a lot more about creation then I have though and about what scientist teach. So you're much more knowledgeable about this then I am.

I have been a big fan of Creation Science for years and years. I used to get the magazine waaay back when. They were so beautiful and great, but are a bit spendy now, so, I just like their site, and also David Rives site for really good Creation science ( both are young earth also).
Yes, I do have a MacArthur study Bible. I think maybe I got it a long time ago, via your suggestions ( has it been 20 years yet, that we have know each other?)
Have you been aware of the latest fighting going on in Israel?
I know this goes on every now and then, but this seems way more beefed up, the rocket barrage coming in is horrendous...
It kind of reminds me of a 4th of July fireworks finale.....
only, they are NOT fireworks but rockets!

My words today will be in this color and Biblical Scriptures will be in this color today
I will continue to look at Creation Day 6. Looking especially at God making humans. First in Genesis Chapter one:
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 1:26-28
I underlined some words, that secular unbelievers seem to be doing everything in their power to erase what God said, do the opposite, and hate what their Creator said.
I will eventually get to some of those issues
But God also talks about the creation of mankind in Genesis chapter two:
First God made the first man, Adam:
7 Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being
Genesis 2:7
And then:
18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
Genesis 2:18
1 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place.
22 The Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.
23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.”
24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
Genesis 2:22-24
I notice, God made a man first, but then God said, it was not good, that man should be alone.
Well, then, do I see God allowing a fish to flop out of the water, and evolve into a female human?
No! God does not do that.
However, I see another issue, besides the fact, that the DNA coding does not allow for that.... and that is, the the 'man' is 'special':
"God created man in His own image"
Nothing else was created, in God's own image. This aspect of humans, is beyond, genetics..... and is 'spiritual'.
There is also another interesting wording in Genesis chapter one
God says:
“Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;
God speaks of Himself, in the plural.
Which reminds me of the first verse in the book of John:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
The 'Word' is Jesus:
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
Also when God says: "us" this indicates 'relationship'.... relationship in the Godhead, but I am thinking, it is pointing to, a relationship with mankind.
I think this was the plan, from before the Creation:
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
Ephesians 1:3-5
Jesus said this to the Father:
6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. John 17:6
And then there are these verses:
45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.
47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.
48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.
49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:45-49

My words will be in this color today and Biblical Scriptures will be in this color today.
Continuing looking, reading and studying Creation of the physical universe, earth, plants, animals, angels and man.... Here is a pertinent verse:
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11
In scripture, God does not allow for the molecules-to-man theory evolutionary theory: random impersonal chance, millions or billions of years, that created basically, unimaginable complex design of life.
Genesis is the book of 'beginnings'.
I need to know, how all things started, like life, and the universe etc. and also, things like, why is the world in such an evil mess.
I need the absolute TRUTH:
17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. John 17:17
and
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
and also
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Here is an interesting fact, only men, out of all of God's Creation, will actually last forever.
The universe we live in has an expiration date on it:
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Matthew 24:35
and this
21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. Revelation 21:1
and also
46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:46
Only mankind is this said:
26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26
So right off the bat, it is clear: We humans are 'different', unique, 'special' etc.
And our design..... unlike anything else, in the universe is a divine pattern.
We live in the same environment, as other created living entities, made of the same atomic elements, but.... we are supremely and divinely different.
