I have been a big fan of Creation Science for years and years. I used to get the magazine waaay back when. They were so beautiful and great, but are a bit spendy now, so, I just like their site, and also David Rives site for really good Creation science ( both are young earth also).
Yes, I do have a MacArthur study Bible. I think maybe I got it a long time ago, via your suggestions ( has it been 20 years yet, that we have know each other?)

I know this goes on every now and then,

I will continue to look at Creation Day 6.
Looking especially at God making humans.
First in Genesis Chapter one:
26 Then God said,
“Let Us make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness;
and let them rule over the fish of the sea
and over the birds of the sky
and over the cattle
and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 God created man in His own image,
in the image of God He created him;
male and female
He created them.
28 God blessed them; and God said to them,
“Be fruitful and multiply,
and fill the earth,
and subdue it;
and rule over the fish of the sea
and over the birds of the sky
and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 1:26-28
I underlined some words, that secular unbelievers
seem to be doing everything in their power
to erase what God said,
do the opposite,
and hate what their Creator said.
I will eventually get to some of those issues
But God also talks about the creation of mankind
in Genesis chapter two:
First God made the first man, Adam:
7 Then the Lord God formed man
of dust from the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living being
Genesis 2:7
And then:
18 Then the Lord God said,
“It is not good for the man to be alone;
I will make him a helper suitable for him.”
Genesis 2:18
1 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man,
and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place.
22 The Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man,
and brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones,
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because
she was taken out of Man.”
24 For this reason a man
shall leave his father and his mother,
and be joined to his wife;
and they shall become one flesh.

I notice, God made a man first,
but then God said, it was not good, that man should be alone.
Well, then,
do I see God allowing a fish to flop out of the water,
and evolve into a female human?
No! God does not do that.
However, I see another issue,
besides the fact, that the DNA coding does not allow for that....
and that is, the the 'man' is 'special':
"God created man in His own image"
Nothing else was created, in God's own image.
This aspect of humans, is beyond,
genetics..... and is 'spiritual'.
There is also another interesting
wording in Genesis chapter one
God says:
“Let Us make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness;
God speaks of Himself, in the plural.
Which reminds me of the first verse in the book of John:
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
John 1:1
The 'Word' is Jesus:
14 And the Word became flesh
and dwelt among us,
and we have seen his glory,
glory as of the only Son from the Father,
full of grace and truth.
John 1:14
Also when God says: "us"
this indicates 'relationship'....
relationship in the Godhead,
but I am thinking,
it is pointing to,
a relationship with mankind.
I think this was the plan,
from before the Creation:
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
4 even as he chose us in him
before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and blameless before him.
In love
5 he predestined us for adoption
to himself as sons through Jesus Christ,
according to the purpose of his will,

Jesus said this to the Father:

whom you gave me out of the world.

 Oh boy I've gotta add one thing to what you said though! You know the part where God says "let us make man" etc? Did you know that the Jews used to teach about God being a trinity. They did that from the beginning of their history until the Church was formed. Then when they heard the Church teaching about the Trinity, they decided to get rid of that teaching as it could lead other Jews to believe in Jesus. It was their weapon to keep Jews in the dark! I'll try to remember to see if i can find my notes about that.I got at best, about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour of sleep last night....so today's post will be shorter, as staying awake is an issue.

In scripture, God does not allow for
the molecules-to-man theory evolutionary theory:
random impersonal chance, millions or billions of years,
that created basically, unimaginable complex design of life.
Genesis is the book of 'beginnings'.
I need to know, how all things started,
like life, and the universe etc.
and also, things like,
why is the world in such an evil mess.
I need the absolute TRUTH:
17 Sanctify them in the truth;
your word is truth.

and
32 and you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.”

12 For the word of God is living and active,

Here is an interesting fact,
only men, out of all of God's Creation,

The universe we live in has an expiration date on it:

Only mankind is this said:

I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but there are some cults, like the Catholic church, that teach the opposite of what you said: "And though a spirit, God can see, smell, hear, touch, etc." They say God can't do any of those things and that He doesn't have any emotions or anything else like we do, that the Bible just uses those terms to help us understand Him.  But they, like the Pharisees in the Lord's time, totally misinterpret the Bible.
I'd like to add one thing about how some babies are born with both genders or some other birth defect like that. The unsaved people who have a corrupted mind, use things like that to show that God does make mistakes. However, that's simply not true as they are understanding what happened to that baby, or any baby born with a disability, the wrong way. God created them to be perfect in body, mind and spirit, but sin wrecked havoc on everything in this world, including the growth of infants in the womb. I'm not speaking about the sins of the parents of the child, (although that too can affect the developing infant.) I'm speaking about the sin of all humans since Adam and Eve. So God doesn't make mistakes, people do. |

I am so glad you mentioned that about babies born with 2 sex organs. Yes, people point to that as God, having made the 'mistake'.
When, the continuing DNA mistakes are ever increasing, in each generation.
We are NOT evolving higher, but in a sense devolving.
And it IS because of Sin.
The same principal is working in the laws of thermodynamics....the universe is in essence dying....because sin effected and effects everything.
I find it interesting how 'close' some scientists get to THE TRUTH...
and yet, never actually get there...so far.
One of the 'things' being throw about and argued, these days is:
Can our brains help prove the universe is conscious?

turned out to be fully humans

LOL I totally agree! In a way, I was hinting at that...so close and yet so far
Close in that God as a spirit created everything material, and time, and space, and life etc.
But yes, they are speaking babbling nonsense and thinking they are wise....
so actually, it is sad.
But there have been some, ( in the past)
who have been drawn by God,
to knowing the truth,
being set free,
and realizing they are sinners, deserving Hell,
repenting,
and being born again.
So I am hopeful, there might yet be some...
but I don't know, we may be getting so close to being raptured.....
minutes, days, months, perhaps years......
but the world has really ramped up it seems in end times.

I think this verse is another proof against evolution
and the Truth of Creation:
39 For not all flesh is the same,
but there is one kind for humans,
another for animals,
another for birds,
and another for fish.

This is stating there is no upward evolving from one 'type' of flesh to another.
Instead, those promoting evolution
have done this:
25 they exchanged the truth about God
for a lie
and worshiped and served the creature
rather than the Creator,
who is blessed forever! Amen.

LOL I totally agree! In a way, I was hinting at that...so close and yet so far
Close in that God as a spirit created everything material, and time, and space, and life etc.
But yes, they are speaking babbling nonsense and thinking they are wise....
so actually, it is sad.
But there have been some, ( in the past)
who have been drawn by God,
to knowing the truth,
being set free,
and realizing they are sinners, deserving Hell,
repenting,
and being born again.
So I am hopeful, there might yet be some...
but I don't know, we may be getting so close to being raptured.....
minutes, days, months, perhaps years......
but the world has really ramped up it seems in end times.
Speaking of the "wisdom of fools" (meaning the unsaved), when I realized what the Bible taught about the way the unsaved think and reason, and saw how it was true in my own life even, I was shocked. After all, we're used to trusting what other people tell us. Sure, as we grow in our faith, we realize some things, like we shouldn't go to or trust what therapists or psychologists, etc tell us because what they say obviously goes against what God says. But then we turn around and trust an unsaved doctor to tell us what's wrong with our bodies! I've heard some teachers say that the thinking of those who are unsaved is only corrupted when it concerns things about God or His Word, but for other stuff, it's ok. That's just another way of Satan saying, "Did God really say?" We can trust them to tell us what they think is true (assuming they're not lying anyway). But look at the medical community now. When there used to be real Christians that were doctors and that were leading the medical community, thing were much better - unless you went to one that wasn't saved. But now, 99% of them are unsaved and they now accept as "normal" and even "good" all kinds of eastern and new age religious idolatry that is calling itself "alternative medicine"; and things like transgenders, and homosexuality, abortion, etc. Paul describes them and what happened to their thinking in Romans 1:18 on. In other words, we can't just accept whatever a doctor tells us. We can't even accept as true if they say they're saved, unless we've known them a long time and their life proves that fact. Going to a doctor has gotten to be a hazardous thing for people, although the vast majority don't realize it. If you don't know what the Bible teaches about everything, you could accept treatment that's sinful.
As I'm sure most would agree, the same is true of education. It's downright frightening what the children are being taught in school today, and yet many Christians continue to allow their children to go instead of homeschooling them. (that would be too much work and besides the world has taught them that they're not smart enough to teach their children.) The same thing is true about most everything else.
But how about things like, say, mechanics? Do they know the truth about that at least? Some of them can know a whole lot, that's for sure, but is it all really true? Not being a mechanic, it's hard for me to say. But I know that many will cheat you, after all that's what the unsaved do. With something like this, I'm sure they can know quite a lot, and they may even treat you well...some of them anyway. But they still don't know the Truth. They take the credit and glory when they get something right instead of giving it to the Lord.

So true about the medically community
I have had several suggest that for pain, I try
yoga
or
visualization
( I took a pain class, and had to leave as it was all about leading people into all manner of visualizations...
like:
close your eyes, see yourself on a tropical island
( hello....
I lived in Hawaii for 13 years....
it's not what you think,
there are flying giant cockroaches, and scorpions, and big centipedes etc etc. )
They went on about feel the warm breeze, the gentle sun...
( the terrible sunburn, the coconut falling on your head due to the breeze.....LOL)
no, I had to get up and leave
But then, it became
mindfulness
Where am I?
I have to wonder often when I am in a doctors office anymore
So yeah to all those things.
Oh, the language thing.....due to sleepiness,
I was going to make the point that animals cannot speak several different languages...it is just one of many differences pointing to no evolution.
And while its true animals can 'understand' a lot of human words
and have some of their own different vocalizations
They do not ever develop more than one language on their own...never have.
You don't know of any apes, speaking French, German, English, Italian, etc.
I think some humans have been known to speak 59 or more, languages..... some huge number.

The 'snake' here being curse, is really Satan, the devil.
And I think, the two different offspring are:
the saved and unsaved.

He was a murderer from the beginning,

When he lies, he speaks out of his own character,
for he is a liar and the father of lies.

However, at this point, Adam and Eve,

I even volunteered for a "study" the government was doing in my area about hypnotism. They accepted me and about 8 other people, mostly men. The guy doing the study couldn't have hypnotized anyone, so I knew all the other people were either faking it or hypnotizing themselves. Most of the time there I just faked it as I didn't need to be hypnotized. But then on the last day, they thanked everyone and we were all leaving but they asked me to stay behind for one last "test". I was a bit nervous and wondered if they'd caught on that I was faking it. They took me into the same room as always but there was a new guy there. The regular guy told me this new guy would be doing the hypnotizing. He was good at it too, but I wouldn't allow myself to be hypnotized by him. I wanted to know what was really going on. After he thought I was hypnotized, another 6 guys came into the room. All 6 wearing dark suits, ties and dark sunglasses. (yep, exactly how people tend to think someone in the secret service would dress) They began talking quietly amongst themselves; the hypnotist assured them that I couldn't understand anything they said and that I wouldn't be able to remember anything anyway. I remember thinking, "yeah, right!" It's been a long time since then so I no longer remember everything they said, but I do remember that it was a group trying to see if they could use hypnotism on spies or on regular people and turn them into spies - giving them information that they wouldn't know they had until the time came that they saw or heard a particular person and would give that person the message that was stored in their mind; after which they would promptly forget it had happened. There was other stuff too, but it was all about the ways the secret service could use hypnotism. By then, having heard all this stuff which they had said was top secret, I was really scared! I thank the Lord that He had the regular hypnotist tell those guys what he was going to do to me next because otherwise they would have discovered that I'd heard everything. I didn't even want to consider what they'd do to me then! He told them he was going to put something like smelling salts under my nose. It was the kind that smells horrible and would cause a conscience person to instantly draw their face away and even step backwards to get away from the smell. For someone unconscious, it would wake them up. Needless to say, I quickly hypnotized myself while he went to get the stuff, and was able to keep from reacting. They guys in the suits were all quite impressed but wanted to make sure I wouldn't remember anything. So of course the guy gave me the orders that I wouldn't remember, and of course I did remember because I wanted to, and no one can make you do something you don't want to, even hypnotized. But I obviously pretended I didn't have a clue what had happened and thought hardly any time at all had gone by; pretending to be shocked that it had been over an hour. I couldn't wait to get out of there and had no intention of signing up for any further studies!!! I knew I'd waded into dangerous territory and wanted no more of it!

This is a constant reminder that a woman gave birth to sin in the human race and passes it on to all her children. She can be delivered from this curse by raising godly children, as indicated in 1Tim 2:15 (see note there). it's funny you should mention hypnosis. I think I went to a college demonstration of it.
There was a guy, calling up volunteers from the audience and supposedly
showing the audience how it worked.
Then, at some point, he attempted to put the whole under.....
and like you.....it simply did not work on me.
I forget if the audience was supposed to bark, or wave their hands or something....
and I just looked around at all these people, and wondered if they were faking it or what?
However, I was as you recall a 60's hippie. That meant among many other dreadfully depraved sinful activities, I took LSD ( among other drugs)....
and I am pretty sure, at that time, the 'secret service, CIA or FBI
( whatever alphabet group)
were also doing experiments with LSD
for the exact same reason as the hypnosis experiments.
And today, in a youtube news video,
I read about microwave attacks on CIA agents....
so crazy things went on, and are still going on it seems.

Not much better today
( I got around 4 hours sleep....which is certainly better than none....)
but weirdly,
sometimes, with no sleep,
I once in a great while, am more awake
( for a short time)
than when I get a couple of hours of sleep.
There does not seem to be any consistency....oh well,

I guess you could see I was a wee bit sleepy yesterday...I forgot to put the book, chapter and verses and forgot the color LOL

Not much better today
( I got around 4 hours sleep....which is certainly better than none....)
but weirdly,
sometimes, with no sleep,
I once in a great while, am more awake
( for a short time)
than when I get a couple of hours of sleep.

God as I noted earlier is taking to Satan,
the Serpent:
9 And the great dragon was thrown down,
that ancient serpent,
who is called the devil and Satan,
the deceiver of the whole world—
he was thrown down to the earth,
and his angels were thrown down with him.
Revelation 12:9
Kind of off the track,
but thinking about all the angels
that followed Lucifer ( Satan)
I sometimes wonder, how many were there?
It seems 1/3 of all the holy angels
( called stars) sided with him.
3 And another sign appeared in heaven:
behold, a great red dragon,
with seven heads and ten horns,
and on his heads seven diadems.
4 His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven
and cast them to the earth.
And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth,

I in no way am excusing Adam and Eve,
but thousands, or millions, or billions of angels,
who were in Heaven, with God,
and yet, fell for Satan's lies.

As I said before, I am not suggesting we keep our minds on the devil,
but rather God.
Yet we do find out that we have a very strong, powerful adversary,
in scripture and Satan is mentioned a number of times in the Bible,
with many different names and titles.
So, we need to be aware that he is a true enemy.
Jesus said this:
18 And He said to them,
“I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
Luke 10:18
So our Lord, Jesus, makes it clear, the devil is real.
Therefore, we need to be sober and alert:
8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert.
Your adversary, the devil,
prowls around like a roaring lion,
seeking someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8
Satan was in the Garden of Eden,
with hatred in his heart for humans.
He put out the bait for their downfall,
into sin.
Isn't it so sad, we fell for the lies,
of someone who hated us with a passion.
You see the devil behind the impending judgement,
prophesy from God
against the king of Babylon:
3 And it will be in the day when the Lord gives you rest
from your pain and turmoil and harsh service
in which you have been enslaved,
4 that you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon, and say,
11 ‘Your pomp and the music of your harps
Have been brought down to Sheol;
Maggots are spread out as your bed beneath you
And worms are your covering.’
Isaiah 14:3,4,11
But then, verse 12 switches to the source of evil:
12 “How you have fallen from heaven,
O star of the morning, son of the dawn!
You have been cut down to the earth,
You who have weakened the nations!
13 “But you said in your heart,
‘I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne above the stars of God,
And I will sit on the mount of assembly
In the recesses of the north.
14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.’
Isaiah 14:12-14
Notice the proudful boast of Satan!
His goal is to dethrone God,
and be God.
( a puny created being, in comparison to God, who created him.)
But what did he say to Eve in the Garden of Eden?

“You surely will not die!
5 For God knows that in the day you eat from it
your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God,
knowing good and evil.”
Genesis 3:4,5
So I see that the devil can have great influence,
if we are not alert.
Even those who later walked and talked with Jesus,
like the apostle Peter, the devil influenced,
and Jesus said:
23 But he turned and said to Peter,
“Get behind me, Satan!
You are a hindrance to me.
For you are not setting your mind on the things of God,
but on the things of man.”
Matthew 16:23
Of course, it was way worse with Judas:
3 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot,
who was of the number of the twelve.
Luke 22:3
We also see the same pride in Ezekiel
with the King of Tyre:
1 The word of the Lord came to me:
2 “Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre,

Having sinned, Adam and Eve's whole attitudes and character,
changed....... for the worst.
Their answers become cagey, deceptive, vague, misleading, unclear, even accusing God etc.
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day,
and the man and his wife
hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God
among the trees of the garden.
9 But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”
10 And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden,
and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”
11 He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
12 The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me,
she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”
13 Then the Lord God said to the woman,
“What is this that you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
Genesis 3:8-13
What I don't see is real genuine repentance,
some half truths, which can never really be called 'truths'
because the purpose is to deceive or deflect judgment or punishment.
( But now, judgement and punishment is coming anyway.
Perhaps if they had told the whole truth,
and fully repented.....
who knows what the outcome would have been?)
If you don't admit your sin totally,
then you don't repent, and turn from it.
Jesus said:
32 "I have not come to call the righteous
but sinners to repentance.”
Luke 5:32
Another aspect I see is Adam and Eve both try to deflect,
and not take responsibility for their sin,
by shifting the blame onto someone else:
A ploy, that was a cross between:
'pass the buck' ,
and
I am just a victim.
I suppose I should have mentioned,
before they got caught,
they tried a few things to ease their guilt.
7 Then the eyes of both were opened,
and they knew that they were naked.
And they sewed fig leaves together
and made themselves loincloths.
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking
in the garden in the cool of the day,
and the man and his wife hid themselves
from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
Genesis 3:7,8
They clearly knew they had sinned
( they now know beyond a doubt,
knowledge of good....
but more so.....
knowledge of EVIL.
So they try to cover up
and since that was not enough....
hiding seemed like a good plan.
This is the start I think of the beginning of this verse:
Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20
Previously, up to this day,
instead of trying to hid from God ( Jesus)
they would have lovingly run to Him.
Now everything has been switched,
and not for the good, but for evil.
It is now a natural thing, to try to escape from God,
because we all are sinners.
People try to avoid God, in many many different ways.
But the truth for all of us, just as for Adam and Eve is:
Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
Psalms 139:7
The answer is, of course,
we cannot flee from God's presence.
Nevertheless, this trying to hid from God,
has never stopped,
and will continue on into the future:
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful,
and everyone, slave and free,
hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,
16 calling to the mountains and rocks,
“Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne,
and from the wrath of the Lamb,
17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
Revelation 6:15-17
Instead, God lovingly comes to them,
this is love shown, undeserved love for them,

When God asks:

I started thinking last night about what Adam said to God,
in the garden:

Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”

First, Adam, slyly tries to shift the blame on God.
Adam endeavors to transfer the blame to God,
and evade being held responsible.....
because after all:
God is too hard,
waaaay to scary,
and controlling,
etc.
It seems to me,
this began the age old,
difficulties and conflicts,
between men and women.
Well, I think it started with Eve....
She determined to make decisions on her own
without consulting Adam, or God.
The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
Jeremiah 17:9
But now, Adam complains to God
about her, basically accusing her entirely!
Yes, Eve took control,
and leadership ( over Adam's position)
but wait....
Adam stood right there and let her chat with the devil...
Why did he not kindly, lovingly, but firmly
take control back, and protect her
and call for God's help also?
21 For from within, out of the heart of man,
come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,
22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
Mark 7:21-23
Adam was to have been
the leader
and
her protector....
her defender....
he did none of those things....
and now he puts the whole blame on her
and God!
I would imagine, that must have hurt Eve terribly.
Yes, she sinned
( not an excuse, but truthfully,
Adam was derelict in his office of responsibility).
Here was the man,
I assume, who told her,
he loved her and would protect her,
with his very life, if necessary...
And yet...
Adam is blaming her,
playing the victim,
because, he claims,
she was the only one who sinned..
If I have covered my transgressions as Adam,
By hiding my iniquity in my bosom,
Job 31:33
Must have felt like a huge betrayal!
I would think she felt great hurt and anger.
This kind of thing plays out daily,
even to this day.
Men promise woman they love them,
and will protect and provide for them
but then betray them....
Not that the woman are not guilty also
but its a great disconnect....
Because of sin.

It was also the introduction of evil into the world and worse, into humanity. Now, instead of being guided by the Lord in all things, humans could choose between God and Satan to guide them. Because of their sin nature they now automatically chose Satan. Let me share what one of my books says about this too.
The Adamic rebellion only pointed up the futility of any such attempt at autonomy. Confusion & heartache resulted, humanity was subjected to fear, ignorance & death, & man had not become autonomous at all. He had only exchanged a holy, beneficent & liberating counsel for a devilish, demonic, enslaving one. In following Satan’s counsel, he lost the freedom & capacity to do good & to follow God’s good counsel. He became a slave of sin & Satan. In opting for Satanic counsel, he once more demonstrated (in a perverted way) the very facts of his creation: (1) he was dependent upon outside counsel; (2) he was capable of being changed by counsel.
It is clear, then, that from Adam’s time on there have been two counsels in this world: divine counsel and devilish counsel; the two are in competition. The Bible’s position is that all counsel that is not revelational (biblical), or based upon God’s revelation, is Satanic. When counsel is given by those who align themselves with some other counsel than God’s the counsel that is given is called “the counsel of the ungodly” (Psalm 1:1). Both the counsel and those who give it are ungodly. It is ungodly because (1) it competes with and tries to overthrow God’s counsel, (2) because it is inspired by Satan and (3) because (intentionally or otherwise) it is given by those who rebelliously side with the devil. Over against such counsel (and in direct opposition to it) the psalm places God’s Word (Psalm 1:2).

My words will be in this color today
and Biblical Scripture will be in this color today
Both Adam and Eve bought
Satan's lies, and now both have
'buyer's remorse'.
And now, we see the beginnings
of sin and it's terrible consequences.
15 Then the Lord God took the man
and put him in the garden of Eden
to tend and keep it.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying,
“Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
you shall not eat,
for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Genesis 2:15-17
The verse:
"for in the day
that you eat of it
you shall surely die"
Does not mean, in exactly 24 hours
( with the emphasis on the word: day)....
but rather, the emphasis is
on the word:
'surely'
meaning: absolutely, certainly, definitely, unquestionably, infallibly etc.
Their physical bodies 'start' to die.
An example might be, when you cut a beautiful flower,
from a plant, ( it's source of life)
you have essentially killed it,
but..... it does not immediately show that death,
it can continue to 'look' alive,
like it did, when
you first cut it.
I think we see several kinds of death also like:
They do, however, become 'instantly' spiritually dead
because they are relationally dead to God,
they have cut themselves off from the source of life.
( In their eyes,God has become the bad guy,
who has put them to death,
because, they are not willing to repent of their sin)
So instead of the loving relationship they had,
I think these next verses,
might be like some of their thoughts
about how they are viewing God now, that they are sinners,
having chosen Satan over God:
24 Why do You hide Your face,
And regard me as Your enemy?
25 Will You frighten a leaf driven to and fro?
And will You pursue dry stubble?
26 For You write bitter things against me,
And make me inherit the iniquities of my youth.
27 You put my feet in the stocks,
And watch closely all my paths.
You set a limit for the soles of my feet.
28 “Man decays like a rotten thing,
Like a garment that is moth-eaten.
Job 13:24-28
And they are dying in their relationship to one another.
As Cindy so rightly pointed out,
women have been struggling for dominance
and men want to be led often,
and misunderstandings, hurts, betrayals,
and even hatred continue to grow and abound.
Genesis chapters one, two and three, etc.
are so important because,
they have effected every human,
who has ever lived.
Sin, evil, wars, corruption, disease, hatred, death, jealously etc.
all began there in Genesis, the beginning....
But this was not God plan,
and He will redeem the mess,
and so we also see the beginning of 'hope'
and a savior, in Genesis.

Very well said! Now this will be your last post here for awhile anyway as we'll be doing a study about salvation for now.

But they, like the Pharisees in the Lord's time, totally misinterpret the Bible.
Good one! But I'm not sure what this has to do with anything: "We also have a wide variety of languages we could learn, and communicate with." I just don't see where you got that from in the Bible or how it relates to anything in the Bible... It's probably my brain malfunctioning again 
!!
