Oh my that is for me also!!!
I loved what you said:
"What we really need to remember though is that the person that wins this election will have won because it is God's Will for him to be our president, regardless of whether or not there's been lying and cheating:
I realized that I'd been rebelling against what God had established by my attitude, thoughts and words about Obama. I most certainly don't want to do that again! So this time, if Biden does win, I will treat him with not only respect (which he would be due because of his office)
but also with love, because that's how the Lord wants us to treat others. In fact, He not only wants us to treat them with love, He wants us to actually love them!
I'll have to ask Him to help me do that, but I know He will since I'd be obeying Him.
For right now and until we learn who the winner is, both men should be treated with love and respect the way the Lord tells us to. We can still say we hope Trump wins; we just can't be obnoxious toward Biden. "
I too am going to need help if Biden wins so I will also be asking God to help me!!!
and if I say something on this board that is not loving remind me and/or rebuke me
So I will ask the Lord's forgiveness, and go back to obeying Him.
Of course, I will make every effort to be loving and respectful but still....I could mess up sigh!
I wrote something in chat today and I hope it wasn't disrespectful I had not yet read your encouraging reminder though.............:(
Sometimes, it is not easy being a Christian we are called to a higher standard than the world..... but without God's help I for one will fall for sure!!!

You said: "and if I say something on this board that is not loving remind me and/or rebuke me"; I'll be happy to remind you, if you will also remind me, ok? What you wrote was fine. You said you thought there was cheating going on. I agree, there probably is and it's fine to say so. What would be wrong would be to single one candidate out and say that one was cheating and then get angry if someone else said the other one was cheating. It would be wrong because we have no way of knowing for absolute certain that one was cheating and the other wasn't. All we have to go on is hearsay. Because what we read in what's called the "news" today is literally nothing more then hearsay. There's so much "fake news" around in our time, that there's no way to tell what's true anymore. So people decide what's true based on what they like and don't like. If they like Trump, then anything good about him is true and anything bad is false; if Biden then anything good about him is true, and bad is false. Depending on how they feel about a subject is how each person determines truth these days, and Satan is just loving it!!!
This is what happens when people don't guard their minds and hearts the way the Lord tells us to. Society ran away from God and stopped even pretending to try and take their thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. They loved the idea of truth being whatever they felt good about. So now, apparently God is letting them reap what they've sown. So today everything is decided by feelings. It does make things harder for those of us who have obeyed God but thankfully we have the Lord to help us.

oh oh....opps! I think, I already strayed into that a 'bit'....
I wrote it to you in a private message tho but like I said..... I am struggling :(
I think God is trying to wean me from this world and keep my eyes on Him and look towards His Kingdom and not so much this world or rather....very little
I did my civic duty and voted.
I guess all this 'waiting' does not help me.
If they could come to a conclusion then I could work on accepting God's choice...
and get back to keeping my eyes on Him
However....
I need to be able to do that anyway!!!
even in.... uncertainty, chaos civil unrest etc. etc.

Today in the World Today... will be another random one.
It is no news we are pretty much continuing the chaos of 2020 and along with all the other turmoil of the year we now have election chaos:
What this election almost reminds me of is the Gore/Bush election for president ( I think it was that one?) with the 'hanging chads'!
And so...... uncertainty remains!
Nevertheless, God is still on the throne Has there been chaos in the world in the past.... Yes!
All we have to do is look in the Bible at Israel's history.
This verse reminds me a bit of the USA now:
25 In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25
I think it pretty clear since the Garden of Eden mankind has inherently made a mess of everything and only God can cure it.
We have to keep in mind that though we humans would rather point a finger for all the ruin, at someone else..... God does not:
34 So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, Acts 10:34
Because:
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
I think America is no longer:
"one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"
We are a greatly divided nation, I believe... and we may be rapidly heading towards our last days.
Notwithstanding, God is not changed, because the USA will collapse.
[smear:#4119e6] 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16,17[/smear:#fd2181:0]
Here is something for Christians to remember: God's people, have always been outnumbered! And, sometimes God even pared them down further!
Some see 'chaos', as a big part of end times because it sets the stage, ( in perhaps the not too distant future)..... for the anti-Christ, to bring 'order'..... which may begin to sound like 'good news'.....
Who wants continuing: turmoil, stress, worry, anarchy, violence, terror, pandemonium, rebellion, riots and possible even wars and rumors of war etc. etc. etc.
But no, the 'order out of chaos' the anti-Christ will (Not ) bring by the coming one world government:
will have the worst tyranny, the worst tyrant, the worst persecutions the worst disasters the most people ever killed, etc. etc. etc. under the anti-Christ.
Only Jesus can bring true order and peace!!
In fact, believers can have peace right now, even in the midst of, ever increasing chaos:
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
We may see days of more and more great wickedness but we cannot let fear dictate our lives.
Fear has always been an issue for me thus my user name: 'fearnot'
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
We Christians need to keep our hearts and minds open to what God is doing even in, our ever failing and declining world.
We need to also be looking up
28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28

It's beginning to look to me, like election day, is turning into election week
Both men, have declared themselves victors. ( Biden did today and President Trump a day or so ago)
Still...... this election, may yet, turn into:
election month.
However, aside from some very important ( to me)... exceedingly important polar opposite policies each man has on various issues
I am also beginning to note, something entirely different...
that seems to me to be happening... That I think, is worse, in many ways, than this whole debacle.
It is taking up so much of so many Christian's: 'TIME'
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalms 90:12
It is starting to feel like, the devil is stirring up:
unsettledness wobbling, confusion, insecurity unrestfulness etc.
To get Christians to focus more on the World:
Than on God The Bible God's glory God's Kingdom The Great commission
Because, we do not know how long we, or anyone else has to live (again the issue of TIME):
7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,
“Today, if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion... Hebrews 3:7,8
On some level, I think, the devil has almost laid a trap....
that kind of reminds me of the rich fool who was unaware of how little 'TIME' he had left:
[smear:#b816ba] 16 And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully,
17 and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’
18 And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”’
20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’
21 So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
Luke 12:16-21[/smear:#1bab9b:0]
I think for sure, Christians need to do their civic duty... but we must remember we have a higher commission:
11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11
And also:
29 This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short..... 1 Corinthians 7:29
And this:
29 This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,
30 and those who mourn as though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy as though they had no goods,
1 Corinthians 7:28-30
But I think these might be excellent verses to muse on during these times:
1 Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers!
2 For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.
6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.
7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!
8 Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
9 For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.
10 In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.
11 But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.
12 The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him,
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he sees that his day is coming. Psalms 37:1-13

Trying not to 'fret' with a possible different president....
What could go wrong?????
Nevertheless, 'fear' of greater persecution of Christians is a thought, that crosses my mind...
But then, what would be new about that?
Our ( my) job, is to be an ambassador and represent Jesus, no matter, how unfriendly, ill-disposed, or hateful, the unsaved become
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20
Even when the unsaved ramp up their hate of Christians, we are to actually love them.
The world feels free to hate their enemies... but that is NOT what we as Christians are called to do:
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Matthew 5:43-48
And I know it might sound strange, but there is an odd sort of way that being hated as a Christian ( If it is not because of our own evil or sins)
That is kind of a badge of honor because it unites us in a way, with Jesus:
18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. John 15:18
Still it is not say that sometimes it is hard to do and to even focus on when so many people are focused on evil.
[smear:#1943e6]3 For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
6 Therefore pride is their necklace; violence covers them as a garment.
They scoff and speak with malice; loftily they threaten oppression. 9 They set their mouths against the heavens, and their tongue struts through the earth.
16 But when I thought how to understand this, it seemed to me a wearisome task, 17 until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end.
Psalm 73:16,17[/smear:#e61949:0]
And therein, lies our pity for them, we know the unsaved end....
and so:
20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Romans 12:20
I know that plopping burning coals on someone's head does not sound very loving... I 'think' the idea is more about:
When the person they hated is so kind, compassionate, loving, helpful etc. to them it would fill them with so much remorse about their evil sin of: hate....
That it would 'feel' like: the pain of hot coals on their head.
Goodness, compassion, love, etc. can be powerful, in the face of hate:
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Luke 6:35
So for the moment, I will take the view that in this election: there has been cheating and a stolen election.....
As a Christian, for me, the trap would be;
I AM RIGHT!!!
But that is exactly the trap laid for me by Satan!
I might indeed be 'right' about that So then, what is wrong with that?
I have put being 'right' ABOVE being Christ-like!!!
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1
I would be forgetting.... this truth...... to quote you Cindy:
"Regardless of whether or not there's been lying and cheating":
God is the one, who ultimately put, into power.... which ever man won/wins. ( be it even by cheating)
And IF it were by lying, stealing, and cheating there is a reason God allowed it: Right now I may not be able to see or understand why God would allow it...
Therefore
I need to have faith in God and stay in the Word ( the Bible) be kind, loving etc. even if.... I were to be persecuted and killed I need to still trust the Lord and my Savior.
So I have to remember this verse whenever I feel angry etc.:
11 Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God. 3 John 1:11

So true! My daughter, Jenifer and her husband, Bob and their kids were here yesterday and we of course spoke about the election for a short time. What I told them was that if Trump winds up winning, which looks less likely at the moment, then it may mean that God will be delaying His judgement a little longer. (which of course, He would only do if He knew it would result in more being saved.) More likely at this point is that Biden will win which likely means that God's judgment will be coming even sooner then we thought, as Biden will do things that will hasten the Tribulation. So to my way of thinking, no matter who wins the election, we win! If it's Trump, we win because he will try to help God fearing people; if it's Biden, we win because He will help bring the Tribulation closer, which means the rapture will happen even sooner!
It's beginning to look to me, like election day, is turning into election week
Both men, have declared themselves victors. ( Biden did today and President Trump a day or so ago)

Actually, Biden declared himself the winner on election day, shortly after Trump did. It was hilarious because he said he wouldn't declare himself winner like Trump did, and then said something else I can't remember - just another sentence, and then turned right around and said, he had won the election! Bruce and I just happened to catch that on our news that day, but we switched to watch one of our favorite shows shortly after he said that.
Trying not to 'fret' with a possible different president....

3 John 1:11
Done for Today
Amen! Well said! I'd like to add to what you said by quoting something my pastor's wife wrote to all of us after the election. She made some good points too. I thought it was encouraging for me because she said some of the same things I'd said earlier that day on the board here.
Hi ladies! I know that these are uncertain times and we may be tempted to give way to worry. I wanted to share a few thoughts; if these help you great! If not, no offense taken 💕
First of all, as believers, we belong to Christ, and to His kingdom. We are citizens of a heavenly kingdom which is eternal. Our God is in charge and on the throne. However this crazy election winds up, God will have His man in the White House. Whether that man is there by hook or by crook, by fair means or by foul, ultimately he is there because God put him there (Daniel 2:21).
Second, we see only a small slice of the world and reality, but God is over all and sees all. He knows the end from the beginning and is actively working to bring about His plans and his purposes (Is 46:10). We know that we are living in the last days (Rom 13:11-12), and that the days will grow more trying and wicked as we come closer to the end of all things. (Eph 5:16). Christ will return in triumph and right all the wrongs and punish those who do not stand for truth and righteousness, but until that time comes, He is orchestrating and moving players into position to advance His predetermined plans and purposes (Eph 1:11).
Third, The Bible indicates that at the end of the age, the world will be united under one leader. If Trump wins, Praise God! It forestalls the inevitable for a few more years since Trump is a nationalist, not a globalist. If Biden is declared the winner, Praise God! Biden is a globalist who will move us closer to the second coming of Christ all the sooner. Either way, we can't lose.
Fourth, Either way the decision goes, there is likely to be riots and demonstrations and violence. Our duty is to do what is right without giving way to fear. Look at the examples in scripture of men and women who found themselves in times of crisis where everything seemed to be falling apart. Look at Daniel and his 3 friends who held themselves above the political fray and sought to be true to God even when it seemed He had abandoned them when their land was conquered and the entire population deported. Look at David who was the rightful ruler but who was forced to live in hiding for years from an evil ruler who sought to kill him. Look at the church in Rome under Nero who faced intense persecution and violence and torture. They must have wondered what God was doing. The message is always the same. Set you mind on the Lord and He will give you peace (Is 26:3). He has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and a sound mind (2 Tim 1:7). And Paul says, in Acts 20:24, that his main motivation was to finish his course with joy..... and to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. God is in charge. He knows what is best for us. Even though we might not like it in our flesh, we can give thanks in our spirit because we know that ultimately, the battle is already won. Things are Not falling apart. They are falling into place.
Much love,
Stephanie

What a lovely, encouraging and uplifting letter from your pastor's wife!!!
so much to muse on but here is just one thing she wrote that was helpful:
"We know that we are living in the last days (Rom 13:11-12), and that the days will grow more trying and wicked as we come closer to the end of all things".
And one other quote:
"If Trump wins, Praise God! It forestalls the inevitable for a few more years since Trump is a nationalist, not a globalist.
If Biden is declared the winner, Praise God! Biden is a globalist who will move us closer to the second coming of Christ all the sooner".
Either way, we can't lose.

I think some Christians are struggling in today's world, ( I do struggle! )
Sometimes instead of being Christ-like, Christians respond to threats in the world, (even internet chats can seem like threats to us sometimes) with 'their' feelings and passionate emotions etc.
( and sink into sinning with snarkiness, anger, irritability, outrage, fury etc.)
Rather than, the truth in God's Word the Bible.
We seem stuck in a crazy holding pattern on the election And depending on one's view point, This verse might be a cause of 'fear':
17 The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, the decision by the word of the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will
and sets over it the lowliest of men.’
Daniel 4:17
Be that as it may, whoever finally wins this election will be God's choice:
Either to give a little more time for some to be saved or to sped up time towards the end.
And we have to accept that:
The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt.... Psalms 93:1
If God so chooses, He can indeed, set the foolish, and worst of us in power.
There are a number of reasons, He might choose that ( as He has in the past, He could do so now).
Our country has for the most part kicked God out
Do you thus repay the Lord, you foolish and senseless people? Is not he your father, who created you, who made you and established you? Deuteronomy 32:6
and sometimes ( it is true for an individual also),
God allows individuals or nations) to sink to the bottom, and suffer real hard times...
In order that some, will turn to Him and be saved.
The nations have sunk in the pit that they made; in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught. Psalm 9:15
We know for a fact, that when things are relatively good, we often are not as close to God as we are, when we are suffering.
Even as far back in the Garden of Eden Satan used the allurement of 'MORE" to get Adam and Eve to sin:
more stuff, more power, more entertainment etc. which gives mankind the potential for great cruelty, mercilessness, cold hearts, wickedness etc. always wanting more possessions and power
So often people hate vehemently and choose a path of destruction.
And therefore God may bring great affliction:
Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction; Psalm 107:17
None of these things change the fact, that life is fleeting and temporary....... What really matters is following Jesus.
Some people may benefit financially with one man as President others may benefit with a different man... but people need to keep this verse in mind:
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal,
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:15

Well said! Interestingly, I think it's fairly easy to see where someone's treasure is; and who they love too. The more you love someone, the more you will devour anything they say (or write) to you. You will want to see them and will miss them terribly if they aren't with you, and you'll constantly be looking for them. It's the same with your treasure - you love your treasure, otherwise it wouldn't be a treasure! Therefore you're often thinking about it and wanting to get more of it if possible. Just as you'd want your friends to meet your lover, you'd also want to show them your treasure. Your love and your treasure would be main things on your mind and other things would often relate to them as well. Most everything else in your life would be seen as either a duty which you took care of as quickly and as well as you could (so you could get back to your loved one and treasure), or as a distraction you weren't interested in. I would see electing a president as a duty to be carefully done as well as you could, but not something to obsess over, as I'm much to busy reading the Words my love has written to me, and looking to see if He's on His way to take me home!

I agree with you totally!!! ' But I think Satan is using 'fear on both sides of politics
Some fear abortion will be taken away other fear, that like somewhere in one of the European countries you can kill a child after it is born...
one so called reason, is they are disabled in some way. ( I think Holland is one)
Some are afraid their children will be pushed more and more, into the gay life style from Kindergarten all the way through college
others fear it won't be taught.
Etc. etc. etc.
However, the Bible speaks about all of these things. Since God is perfect love , and justice and mercy, and forgiveness absolute truth etc.
That IS a treasure that cannot be bought but is the only one I want to accumulate!!!!!!!!!
But speaking of accumulating Leonard and I always give as much as we can to fill our church's blue bags to go the the food bank We never ever did so, in hopes of gaining anything back....
But then recently the strangest thing 2 neighbors who do go to the food bank...
Oh wait I should mention this....
The neighbors told us the food bank (because of covid) changed its policy..
the food bank now, just hand out 40 lbs of food in boxes to whoever comes..... the food bank workers do the packing
You used to be able to go in and pick only those things you wanted or liked
Soooooooo both families have for 2 months in a row brought over a box of food bank stuff they didn't want ( because they did not get to choose)
and Lo and behold...
LOLOL
It was stuff I always wanted to try like:
Kombucha ( which had a price tag of almost $4 for one bottle!!!!!!!)
( and other such things, packets of Stevia and on and on)....... Yeah!!!! Jump jump
hahaha I don't know for sure of course.....
But I get the feeling you might not have been so thrilled as I was to receive such blessings wheeeeeee
I could not believe my good blessings!
Talk about earthly treasures!! :) :) :)

I am not sure, but I am speculating, that perhaps some people voted for Biden because they felt President's Trump's rhetoric was too divisive and with Biden as President riots for one thing would end
So this was an interesting news item today:
Pics/Vids: Rioters vandalize Portland Democrat HQ, graffiti ‘F–k Biden,’ ‘No more presidents’
americanmilitarynews.com/2020/11/pics-vids-rioters-vandalize-portland-democrat-hq-graffiti-f-k-biden-no-more-presidents/
So, ummmm..... maybe not?
I am guessing they are wanting this:
25 In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25
and why would they want that? perhaps because of this:
32 Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. Romans 1:32
Which made me wonder, is our country ( and the whole world really) going to seek God's mercy now, or.... will God's justice, judgment, doom etc. be the only chance for repentance?
Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Psalm 51:4
and
but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another. Psalm 75:7
We have all gone our own way:
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way;.... Isaiah 53:6
But a good Father disciplines the children he loves:
7 It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? Hebrews 12:7
Many parents have given up on displine thinking it teaches violence and is child abuse ( but then, as I look at the results of that theory I am not convinced) Plus, God does not follow that theory either.
And speaking of God the Father people in the world Today have a big problem with even God's first commandment:
3 “You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3
Other gods do not have to be made of wood, stone, clay, gold etc. They can also be: money, power, sex, entertainment, etc.)
Because NOW, today is a time to make a choice:
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2
So our culture today, has even gone so far, as to do its best, to destroy the family....
And we wonder what the kids would now say no more presidents ( not Democratic or Republican).
They don't want any restraints no laws no police no churches
And actually, many would rather live their lives as animals...
not surprising as they have been taught that is in fact, what they are via evolution.
But God does not say that is the truth:
5 “It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth,
with the men and animals
that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me. Jeremiah 27:5
So God will give the earth to whom He see fits.

that's too funny! I'm glad the Lord blessed you in that way and I hope you really enjoy it all!
As you know, I agree too that there's a lot of anger. What's sad about the anger is that when it's a Christian, they lose their power and strength when they operate out of anger, because the Joy of the Lord is our strength.

I was still pondering the other day what reason the globalists could have for making us wear masks, when suddenly I saw a picture in my mind of a Muslim woman which her head and face covered! Scary thought isn't it?

I totally agree about the mask Muslim veil connection!
And then, I wonder what is the reason for covering up a woman like a mummy from head to toe....
Well, I 'think' one reason is she is a dangerous temptation and yet, at the same time
She is pretty much worthless
Also she has to be kept under tight reins and any infraction could be a cause for an honor killing by stoning
So, I wonder, if on some level we are not being prepared to get used to being 'nobodies'.
I had an interesting experience past Sunday.
I had been chatting with one of the worship's young keyboardist for several weeks previously
I always had one of those generic black masks on, each time we chatted
But last Sunday, while talking to one of the church office managers she gave me a shield ( so besides making it easier to breath people can see my whole face....)
that young keyboardist, had always known who I was I think because I wear the same one black skirt I have and same jacket and
the same generic black mask soooooo......
After the office manager had given me the shield
I put on the shield,
and....
a short time later saw and chatted briefly with the same keyboardist.. and I could tell, she had no idea who I was!!!
Our conversation was like talking to someone brand new, that you never met before.
One thing about Americans .. it seems a bit of creativity still lives in our spirit
so in our church most people have all different kinds of masks.... some with a flag, some with a Bible verse, some with butterflies etc. etc. etc.
I am one of the few that had the cheapo generic plain black one So I guess she knew me that way ? LOL
But we seem 'less' individuals with masks. .
Leonard and I can't always understand others when they talk through them.
You can't really see their expressions Are they smiling at you? or sticking their tongue out? etc.

I was thinking about how many of the people in the Bible I can relate to in today's world.
For example, Paul, he seemed to me, to be as a young man: very arrogant, self-centered and with little or no compassion for Christians.
4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women, Acts 22:4
I think, one of the things that defined who Paul was, before his conversion was his, scorn, hatred, and persecution of the church ( those who believed in Jesus).
That was me in my college years ( Well, I was not a bounty hunter after Christians),
But I had turned my back on Christianity I was a firm:
Anything but Christianity!!!!
Ans so, this was NOT me:
12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, Colossians 3:12
I don't actually see many of these traits being displayed in today's youth,
Who have been trained in K thru 12th grade and through college to be:
atheists evolutionists Marxists environmentalists etc.
Rather, I see many of the youth being more like the apostle Paul, as a young man, before his conversion.
Another Biblical person, I have always greatly identified with is the apostle Peter.
No not his great physical strength, but rather, when Peter became spiritual weak!!!
Peter even denied knowing Jesus Why? Fear! We have a LOT of that going on!
And so, I can easily identify with Peter! But Peter was not the only one of the disciples, who was afraid and fearful:
50 And they all left him and fled. Mark 14:50
Then there is 'doubting Thomas
I do struggle from time to time with doubting:
24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.”
But he said to them,
“Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side,
I will never believe.”
John 20:24,25
And for today one last Biblical person, I am really really relating to in the World Today is:
Jonah
Well ,Jonah was extremely fearful ( and rightly so....at least without God's intervention)
of the violent and godless Ninevites !!
I can soooo identify with and relate to that!!!
But then...... God wanted Jonah to warn them of impending doom ( in other words have pity on them)!
And wow... that did NOT go over well with Jonah!!
Jonah knew the Ninevites were merciless violent murderous evil pagans brutal vicious etc etc etc,'
and so they were!
More to the point God was totally aware of this also!!
Here is the difference God had compassion, and mercy... Jonah did not!
So Jonah : grumbled disobeyed and ran way.... and disobeyed God
Yup! I can relate to all that!!!
And sometimes, in Today's World that is exactly what I want to do also...
run away
Only God was not going to let Jonah ( God did love Jonah) get away with that running away like a 2 year old
Instead:
17 And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 1:17
Oh by the way, it does NOT say a whale.
I think, this most likely was a specially created fish, big enough to hold a man and keep him alive inside ( without dissolving the man, for 3 days and nights)
That was very humbling and Jonah prayed
Which no doubt is what I have to do, (before hand), as I do not fancy living inside a fish... even one, especially created for me because of my stubbornness)!!!
Nor do I ever want to be angry at God's compassion like Jonah ( And yet, God still loved him ).
1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was angry.
2 And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish;
for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.
3 Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live.”
4 And the Lord said, “Do you do well to be angry?” Jonah 4:1-4
Jonah reminds me a little, of a 2 year old pouting...
Come to think of it So must I seem like that, often to my Father in Heaven.

You can't really see their expressions Are they smiling at you? or sticking their tongue out? etc. I found a mask at Job Lots that's perfect. It's not like the standard ones though. This one you pull on over your head until it's covering your mouth and nose. The great thing about it is that it's so thin that I can actually see through it if I cover my eyes and I have no problem breathing through it at all. I'm glad you got that shield and that it makes it easier for you to breath.
2 And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish;
for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.
Done for Today
It should also be noted however that Peter, Thomas and all the other disciples who were very fearful when Jesus was arrested and crucified, suddenly became totally fearless when they saw Jesus on Resurrection day! Their fear was changed to boldness to tell others about Jesus and they continued to be unafraid from that day on.

Here is an interesting ( maybe not) conundrum concerning chaos, mayhem, confusion, riots etc.
We have to keep in mind, the devil is busy setting up, for his anti-Christ.
Let's say, that in the end, the electoral votes end up with President Trump staying in the White House for another 4 years
I think we can 'guess' there will be continued massive riots:
However, if Biden should win, I am thinking, there will be continued massive riots
In a sense, maybe we could apply this verse to Satan's soon coming 7 years and tribulation:
But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Luke 22:53
A Biden presidency might, speed up the rapture and tribulation..
( well, God has a set time and we don't know if God will bless us with 4 more years of somewhat freedom, perhaps via a Trump win?)
12 "Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13 and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.
14 Who knows whether he will not turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him,..... Joel 2:12-14
In any case, here are just a couple of things we may or might expect if Biden wins:
Joe Biden Announces Covid Lockdown Panel – Plans Nationwide Mandatory Mask Mandate, Lockdown and Contact Tracing
One wonders, are these constitutional even?
www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/11/joe-biden-announces-covid-lockdown-panel-plans-nationwide-mandatory-mask-mandate-lockdown-contact-tracing/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_campaign=websitesharingbuttons
and here is a 'request' to a Biden presidency:
BLM co-founder sends message to Biden: 'We want something for our vote'
www.foxnews.com/politics/blm-co-founder-to-biden-we-want-something-for-our-vote
Here are some things Mr. Biden plans on doing, if he wins like:
"Host a climate world summit and discuss with leaders of the major carbon-emitting countries to join the United States in making pledges to limit their carbon footprint beyond what they already promised.
"End the current asylum policies in place."
"He plans to direct federal resources to help prevent violence against transgender women, focusing on transgender women of color."
and so on, etc. etc. news.yahoo.com/joe-biden-pledged-first-100-173400637.html
The world today could inspire fear However there is only one kind of 'fear' encouraged in the bible...
The awe of God!
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7
and
In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. Proverbs 14:26
Also
Though he slay me, I will hope in him;... Job 13:15
I am always reminded of the words of our Lord when I see men and woman fighting for power:
26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? Matthew 16:26

Well said! I checked that first verse you posted as it didn't make sense to me and discovered the reason is because most versions don't translate it that way; the better manuscripts thankfully made the wording clearer.
NASB95 “While I was with you daily in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but this hour and the power of darkness are yours.”
NET Day after day when I was with you in the temple courts, you did not arrest me. But this is your hour, and that of the power of darkness!”
NIV Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour—when darkness reigns.”
I was going to tell you that you might want to check out today's post in chat, but I think I'll post it here too as it's about the world today.
I've got to share this with you guys as it shows how little covid is impacting people. This is from today's map of covid 19 in the US. Please take note of the deaths in comparison to the number of cases and recoveries as it's shown on the graph.
Cindy, can you post a link to where you found that information!? I added it on Facebook too: www.accuweather.com/en/us/national/covid-19
I've loved accuweather for many years as I've found that for our area they have the very best and most accurate weather predictions. I literally tested all the most well known weather sites including our local news station, the weather channel, etc and accuweather out did them all. I've used it exclusively ever since. Besides weather, they also report the news and keep track of the corona virus.
When I saw their little graph, to me it showed better then any words ever could just how small a thread Covid really is. Yes, it's real, and yes, anyone could get sick from it, but your chances of being "deathly ill" or dying from it are very small. Besides which, as I've said from the very beginning, before I knew for sure if it was deadly or not, as Christians we know that the only people who will die are those who's time here is up. God has known the date and time of our birth and of the death of our bodies since before we were even created. When that time comes, our body will die, no matter what is done to avoid it. For us the death of our body is a wonderful thing because it means we'll be with our Lord from that moment on and that we'll have another much better body and that we'll never sin again. So we have nothing at all to fear from Covid, as we can all say with Paul: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
Hi Cindy Its interesting your post on covid. The CDC published a report which basically said 94% of deaths attributed to covid19 were in fact from underlying pre existing medical conditions instead. Which means only 6% ( 6% is 0.06 in decimal ) were from covid alone. If you look at the math: 241,000÷10,399,325 = 0.024 ( 2.4 % ) death rate. But...if only 6% are truly from covid itself then the math is (241,000 ÷ 10,399,325 )*0.06 = 0.0014 ( 0.14% death rate ) This equates to 241,000 × 0.06 = 14,600 deaths 14,600÷330,000,000 people in USA = 0.000044% of USA population have died actually from covid itself. Check the math but im sure its right. Normal flu in the USA : www.cdc.gov/flu/about/season/flu-season-2017-2018.htm#anchor_1534865810538"CDC estimates that from 2010-2011 to 2013-2014, influenza-associated deaths in the United States ranged from a low of 12,000 (during 2011-2012) to a high of 56,000 (during 2012-2013). I'll take your word for it as Math is not my strong point!
Wow! We're definitely not the land of the free anymore. Not when someone can be put in jail for a year for having 50 people come to a party at their home. If people aren't concerned about Covid they should be allowed to get together if they want to. Those who are concerned wear masks so aren't affected by them anyway. Say good bye to more of our rights being taken away... www.cbsnews.com/news/coronavirus-maryland-parties-shawn-myers-sentenced-one-year/

Wow! I so agree that Covid is real
BUT..............................
It is on or about the same level as the flu Now getting the flu is bad and you 'could' even die from it
Many do each year
But then again....what is 'many' in comparison to the whole US population.
And I agree, it is beginning to look like good bye to more and more of our freedoms.
The more I hear about: Saul Alensky rules for radicals it 'seems' like it is a plan being followed almost to the 'tee'!
He wrote things like:
RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”
But also somewhere he said
'something like':
Don't let a problem ( like a pandemic) slip by without utilizing it.
And Lo and Behold so it is..... Covid turned out to be perfect for those wishing to take away freedoms ( or so it seems to me)

So I am going to continue in my identifying ( in the World today) with Jonah the prophet, in the Bible ( who did not want to have mercy on his enemies and ran away)
and to start here is a headline that tho it is not surprising did ( first response...made me want to run with Jonah)
Official Overseeing Arizona Vote-Count Process Previously Tweeted About Trump's "Neo-Nazi Base"
www.zerohedge.com/political/official-overseeing-arizona-vote-count-process-previously-tweeted-about-trumps-neo-nazi
Lawsuit: Out-of-State Vehicles Brought Tens of Thousands of Unsealed Ballots to Michigan, All for Dems
“Defendants systematically processed and counted ballots from voters whose name failed to appear in either the Qualified Voter File (QVF) or in the supplemental sheets.
When a voter’s name could not be found, the election worker assigned the ballot to a random name already in the QVF to a person who had not voted,” the complaint reads.
“Defendants instructed election workers to not verify signatures on absentee ballots, to backdate absentee ballots, and to process such ballots regardless of their validity,” the complaint went on, adding another allegation that election workers were told “to process ballots that appeared after the election deadline and to falsely report that those ballots had been received prior to November 3, 2020 deadline.” www.westernjournal.com/lawsuit-state-vehicles-brought-tens-thousands-unsealed-ballots-michigan-dems/
And there is this:
Dr. Ibram X. Kendi: Term ‘Legal Vote’ Is Functionally Racist
"Critical race theorist Ibram X. Kendi declared this week that the expression “legal vote” used to describe votes cast in conformity with U.S. laws is “functionally racist.”
“The term ‘legal vote’ is as fictionally fraught and functionally racist as the terms ‘illegal alien’ and ‘race neutral’ and ‘welfare queen’ and ‘handouts’ and ‘super predator’ and ‘crackbaby’ and ‘personal responsibility’ and ‘post racial,’” Kendi wrote on Twitter.
“What makes a term racist is rarely the term’s literal meaning, and almost always the historical and political context in which the term is being used,” Kendi helpfully added, in an assertion that could be roughly translated as :
“a term is racist if I say it’s racist.” www.breitbart.com/education/2020/11/12/ibram-x-kendi-term-legal-vote-is-functionally-racist/#
And with that, my thought is: Move over Jonah... I know there is room for one more on the boat to Tarshish!!!!
Nooo I do have pity on the secualar unsaved ( some our my very much family loved ones) Still, there are times when Jonah's idea seems like a plan LOL
However, another response would be:
Instead of feeling like everything is collapsing, plunging down a slippery slope and falling apart
I could rather look at prophecy and see that instead everything is actually falling in place!
I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me. Psalm 118:13
and this from a friend-enemy of Job:
13 If you prepare your heart, you will stretch out your hands toward him.
14 If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and let not injustice dwell in your tents.
15 Surely then you will lift up your face without blemish; you will be secure and will not fear.
16 You will forget your misery; Job 11:13-16
And Christians need to remember:
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Ephesians 6:12,13

Today is another random day as I am truly not feeling well!!!
So here are a couple of headlines to start with:
Justice Alito warns of threats to religious liberty, sparking outrage on the left
Norway criminalizes private criticism of LGTBQ people
"Now those found guilty of hate speech face a fine or up to a year in prison for private remarks, and a maximum of three years for public comments".
clarion.causeaction.com/2020/11/13/norway-criminalizes-private-criticism-of-lgtbq-people/
On this 2nd headline, its not that I think Christians ought to be pointing out an unbelievers pet sin.
Our commission is to give the gospel We may mention all people are sinners in the course of our conversation
But what alarmed me was 'hate' speech seems to be targeting Christians and the Bible ( when has it not tho?)
Even the Apostle Peter when confronted with human authority had to say:
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29
I noticed the 'hate' speech in Norway only seemed applicable one way I have not heard of a law called 'hate' speech if you demean Christians, by saying they are: ignorant bigots narrow minded racists judgmental hypocrites hateful etc etc. etc.
Of course, being so hatefully targeted does tie us closer to Jesus.
18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. John 15:18
But what it does seem to do is, try to impede the gospel message (or at least, it seems like it to me)
Its as if ,the devil is at work trying to undermine the power of TRUTH
( the Bible, God's Word, the gospel)
in any way possible.....
I can envision the word 'sin' being labeled legally: 'hate' speech soon.
And here is a thought Demons ( fallen angels) are powerful intelligent rebellious sin-filled arrogant pride-filled jealous, hate-filled ungrateful 'revolutionary' liars self-centered murderous blasphemous traitors etc. etc. etc.
I see a lot of similarities to humans, but one major difference was the fallen angels ( demons) were in heaven and yet, still rebelled!!
The angels were created to serve and love God... and so were humans.
However, another difference between angels and fallen angels ( demons)
is that humans were created in God's image.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
So we will only have two choices serve the devil and our sins or serve God.
We can follow our own path and our own selfish interests, or trust, love, and obey God ( and when we sin, ask for forgiveness).
or we could play God and decide how long people ought to live
Biden coronavirus adviser Dr. Zeke Emanuel once argued it's not worth living past 75
Emanuel, 63, wrote that "by 75, creativity, originality and productivity are pretty much gone for the vast, vast majority of us" in his 2014 essay www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-coronavirus-adviser-zeke-emanuel-age-75-the-atlantic-essay
God says:
8 No man has power to retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it. Ecclesiastes 8:8
So Christians need to remember that now is the acceptable time:
2 For he says,
“In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2
Satan wants to keep people confused and not find out the truth from God's Word the Bible.... so while we still can,
Christians can still post Bible verses online and those verses can have an effect on some people because:
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

I had another couple of thoughts concerning one of Biden's Cornavirus advisers
Biden coronavirus adviser Dr. Zeke Emanuel once argued it's not worth living past 75
Emanuel, 63, wrote that "by 75, creativity, originality and productivity are pretty much gone for the vast, vast majority of us" in his 2014 essay www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-coronavirus-adviser-zeke-emanuel-age-75-the-atlantic-essay
First, being 75 myself, there is a way, in which I kind of agree with him....gasp!
Because, selfishly, I would much rather go and be with Jesus:
6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord,
7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.
8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:6-7
About ages to live...
Never mind living 75 years ( God, not taking into account if Methuselah wanted to live that long or not....)
27 Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died. Genesis 5:27
It would seem to me that Dr. Zeke Emanuel, would believe that Methuselah was just taking up space for about 900 years
( and really, no really, they did know how to count years way back then)
However, it seems God allows some humans to live only one second and others 969 years.
God also said this;
3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” Genesis 6:3
What??!!
Oh! They had 120 years until the world wide flood of Noah's time.
And Noah was about 600 years old at the time of the flood.
But wait.... If Noah had not lived 525 years past Dr. Zeke Emanuel 's reasoning.... (of the maximum age a human being is useful)
not one of us would be here today, as Noah was around the age of 500 plus to 600 building the ark!!
I have a hard time pinpointing exactly how long it took to build the ark, but I would guess around 50-75 years ( in any case, it not the toy boat we often see in cartoons)
Oh and it wasn't until he was 500 he started fathering children:
32 After Noah was 500 years old, Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
And according to doctor Emanuel Abraham was a waste of space for 100 years:
7 These are the days of the years of Abraham's life, 175 years. Genesis 25:7
Etc etc etc.
This is going to be short as we are going to church and we don't don't know at this point when we can go again as our Governor put the state back on lock down!!!!!!!

Done for Today Good one!
Done for today
Yes, it's absolutely Satan trying to impede the gospel message and it definitely trying to undermine the Truth. There's no doubt about that! But I don't understand what you're saying here as it doesn't make sense to me: "However, another difference between angels and fallen angels ( demons) is that humans were created in God's image." What does us being created in God's image have to do with the difference between angels and demons?
Anything we can do to point people toward God is good and we should keep on doing it for sure. It may not be long before we will be taking the risk of being arrested for posting Bible verses.
God also said this;
3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” Genesis 6:3
What??!!
Done for Today
It's crazy how they're forcing people to stay home and not allowing us to go to church and even telling us what we can and can't do in our own homes! I have to laugh too because the way it's going, by the time the vaccines are ready we won't really need them as a large number of the population will have already had covid, basically giving us what they call a herd immunity. Speaking of which I find it funny that they use that term, basically calling people animals. But then that's what many are acting like these days.
Interesting... look at what I just found on the CDC website:
Masks should not be placed on young children under age 2 years, anyone who has trouble breathing, or anyone who is not able to remove the mask without help.
www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-sick.html

Oh no! I am soooo sorry I was not feeling well the past couple of days and did not go back and re-read what I wrote
What I meant, ( and did not even write clearly)
Was that angels ( and the fallen angels) at least I don't think either were created in the image of God, but humans were
Obviously there is a big eternal difference now between angles and demons ( fallen angels)!
God Holy angles remain forever good and because the fallen angels choice to follow Lucifer, and rebel against the very God they knew in Heaven...
they (demons/fallen angels) shall ever remain demons in Hell.
I still am not sure, I am explaining even now what I meant, very well?
I have not been feeling well lately no not covid....
Just tired
( we have had none stop rain for days and the forecast says: no end in sight basically) :(
I am not sure if the endless rain
( it seems more than previous years) is adding to sleepiness?
And perhaps the endless upheaval in the world?
I find myself going from angst to expectation to sadness to trust etc. Kind of a roller coaster
But a number of other health issues are attacking me:
I sleep upright in my recliner but...... even so
the acid reflux has effected my throat so much it is so raspy, I can barely talk sometimes at all a raspy whisper is about all I can do some days.
And breathing issues
the Bronchiectasis is causing a LOT more coughing... ( mask wearing adding to the problem????)
and so on...
I have no doubt you too could list a bunch of similar issues
Still, I wonder if the unsettled state of everything adds to the malaise?
Not being able to go to church does NOT help...
so its back to online church ( our church never stopped producing online videos)
But even the grandchildren are bummed about it!!! All of them.
I will try to be more diligent in re-reading what I write and try to be more clear.
But sometimes I am just a bit weary :(
and I don't actually think its because I am 75 LOLOL
I could be 25 and have serious medical issues or I could be 100 and as healthy and alert ( probably more so) as a 10 year old. :)

The World Today and the Bible
Here is a news article of a 'possible' ( more like 'probable' to my thinking)
direction, the World is going:
Scottish Hate Crime Bill Could Criminalize ‘Inflammatory’ Bible
“Would it be ‘abusive’ and ‘hateful’ to quote the Bible’s teaching on marriage, gender or sexual ethics?” he added. “Some groups would say yes.
There is a real risk of malicious reports from activists who wish to stop Christians expressing their beliefs.”
“Provisions on ‘inflammatory material’ could be used against Christian books, sermons by church ministers – even the Bible itself,” Kelly noted. “The potential reach of the offences is enormous, affecting religious practice in public and in private.”
www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/11/14/scottish-hate-crime-bill-could-criminalise-inflammatory-bible/
But what does God say:
31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Mark 13:31
and there is this from God:
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
i read somewhere that even IF, every single Bible was found and destroyed...
The whole Bible could be reconstructed in it's entirety by the zillions of books in the world, that has Bible verses in them...
And of course, now the Bible is online in so many forms...
and Bible verse are on coffee cups, clothing, in paintings etc etc etc.
Then there is this news item:
Biden Transition Official Believes the First Amendment Has a 'Design Flaw' -- His Remedy Is to Curb Free Speech
What kind of speech “incites hate”? As far as Stengel is concerned, the answer is any speech that Muslims find offensive.
He wrote: “Even the most sophisticated Arab diplomats that I dealt with did not understand why the First Amendment allows someone to burn a Koran. Why, they asked me, would you ever want to protect that?”........
"Yes. I’m not in favor of the burning of any book, and I believe that people ought to read and understand the Qur’an rather than burn it.
However, note that Stengel is calling for legal “guardrails” against “speech that incites hate.”
If someone burns a Bible, no one cares. If someone burns a Qur’an, there are riots and death threats.
So for Stengel, burning a Bible would not be “speech that incites hate,” but burning a Qur’an would be.
Saying that “speech that incites hate” must be criminalized is tantamount to calling for the heckler’s veto to be enshrined in law."
pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/robert-spencer/2020/11/14/biden-transition-official-believes-the-first-amendment-has-a-design-flaw-his-remedy-is-to-curb-free-speech-n1144746
It is not hard to figure out that Satan approves these types of laws and potential laws.
26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. Luke 9:26
Then there is this:
Over 120 church leaders blast UK’s ‘unlawful’ closure of churches amid COVID lockdowns
“The English and Welsh Governments have now introduced two successive sets of lockdown measures which have completely prohibited and criminalized public communal worship, a core aspect of religious life for the Claimants and their congregations,” the letter reads.
“With these measures, the Governments have inflicted a terrible human cost, without rigorous consideration of less onerous restrictions, and as part of a package which leaves places of worship
open for secular activities.
They also argued that such extensive and ongoing restrictions have never been imposed in the country before.”
www.christianpost.com/news/church-leaders-blast-uks-unlawful-closure-of-churches-covid.html
Correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like the people cannot go to church to worship God....
but......
the churches are open, and it is okay, for secular activities?
This is sounding to me, more and more like China, North Korea and other countries, that have prohibited and criminalized Christian worship.
And for today on this note:
San Diego strip clubs reopen, but churches ordered to remain closed
“If you’re going to accept that argument that dancing nude is protected speech that’s so significant that it overcomes the government’s interest in regulating its citizens with COVID-19 orders,
then obviously the divine worship of God, which is expressly mentioned in the First Amendment, should be held to a higher standard,” Jonna told the Beacon.{/font} www.christianpost.com/news/san-diego-strip-clubs-reopen-but-churches-ordered-remain-closed.html?fbclid=IwAR3nVADOXqFyapxBB98ESr7A6tO_dXregl5--yt-FcX8NSiGjdhuadisbe8
On a different note:
Asteroid 2020 VT4 makes extremely close approach to Earth at just 0.02 LD - breaks record for the closest asteroid flyby
2020 VT4 is the 91st known asteroid to flyby Earth within 1 lunar distance since the start of the year and the 6th so far this month watchers.news/2020/11/15/asteroid-2020-vt4-closest-asteroid-flyby-on-record/
Sometime in the future during the Tribulation:
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the water, because it had been made bitter. Revelation 8:10,11
Why am I not surprised?
CNN's Jake Tapper: 'Christmas is probably not gonna be possible' this year
Tapper noted that based on Dr, Fauci's recommendations, which are expected to extend into the "the second or third" quarter of 2021, "Christmas is probably not gonna be possible." www.foxnews.com/politics/cnn-jake-tapper-christmas-coronavirus-fauci?fbclid=IwAR0a9kB8M7qQLeUGkJIChNNgRImJeWGRajAhWaNgzXq4aJpcNd3bjeWzcf0
Strangely, ( to me) that is good news and bad news
The 'good' part would be the lessening of the materialistic consumerism Santa Claus take over of the real reason for Christ--mas...
Jesus is THE Reason for the Season!
The bad part would be if we are once again criminalized if we go to church for Christ--mas.
18 Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.
19 For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as he hears it, he answers you.
20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher.
21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:18-21

I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well lately, I have to admit that I haven't either; and like you, I haven't been getting much sleep either. We're quite the pair aren't we? Yes, that's true, angels were not made in the image of God. Fallen angels were obviously first regular angels and like we already said, they were not made in the image of God. But I just thought of something that's really interesting that I'd like to add concerning demons and how they're active today. Sadly, I can't do that today though, so it will have to be tomorrow. Thanks for clearing up what you meant as my brain is not firing on all cylinders lately lol.
I'm sure wearing the mask isn't helping you at all. I really wish you wouldn't wear it or at least keep it off your nose. And of course, use your inhalers regularly and if your oxygen doesn't go up enough, then let your doctor know as you may need a different inhaler. I think it's kind of funny that I found that notice about people like us NOT having to wear masks on the CDC site, which is the most important site, but all the individual states (well all that I've seen anyway) argue that it doesn't hurt us and we should just stop being babies about it. Grrrr I'd like to see them have trouble breathing and wear a mask! Obviously the CDC knows what it's talking about and other doctors are just saying whatever their governors want them to. Speaking of symptoms though, I have some of the same ones you do. Not covid, but I've been having to use my inhaler for the last several weeks now. Some days I need it every 4 hours and others only a couple of times a day, but still, I'll be glad when my breathing goes back to normal again. Thankfully I don't have a cough, but my voice goes away at times and at other times I just sound hoarse. That's the RA and/or Sjogren's though. A big part of why I'm not sleeping well is joint pain though. But I know we'll both be fine eventually. And yes, the unsettled state of things and having our lives turned upside down doesn't help at all, and certainly can cause people who are unaware of how Satan works and how they need to guard their minds and hearts so he can't use this to affect them. You know, sometimes I feel like it's just not fair that we have to take our thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ during the times when we already feel crummy. But as soon as that thought crosses my mind, I remember what my Mom always said, "Who told you life was fair?" (meaning that it's not fair) LOL But that's just like Satan to try and get to us when we're at our weakest. Thankfully we have a God who loves to show His strength through us when we're at our weakest too!
Don't worry about re reading what you wrote looking for errors hon. You rarely make any and when I don't understand something I can always just ask.

Done for Today As I was reading what you wrote about churches and the Bible, I had a thought about churches today that aren't allowing people to just come as usual and have church. Instead they make people "register" ahead of time and reserve a seat, and take their temps when they arrive and make them sit apart from others etc. The word "register" has bothered me for awhile now, and I couldn't figure out why it did, until now. Who else in our world had to "register" in order to do anything? The Jew's did, and eventually the Nazi's tried to kill them all. Great way to know who and where your enemies are - you just make them register! So who considers us their enemy? Obviously Satan does and all of his demons; but so do all of his children. And his children are all of the people in the world who are not truly saved. Since those of us who are saved are a minority, that makes most of the world against us. Now I understand and now I truly believe that the Lord is allowing this in order to set things up for the Tribulation. Because who is it that the Antichrist is going to persecute, torture, and kill? Jews and Christians! And that's exactly who has to register today!

It's hard not to sometimes think, that the whole world is being trained to be compliant due to Covid... in the panic to remain 'safe' from the 'pandemic'...
I think many who are 'locked down' are escaping to a 'virtual world'.... since they are often not allowed out in nature or to go to church, or visit etc. etc.
We should rather be praying this:
8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Psalms 143
Sometimes even Christians are extremely fearful and not remembering this verse:
54“....Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 1 Corinthians 15:54,55
Still
People are hoping and waiting for the vaccine However, the flu vaccine was available starting around the 1930's:
"Vaccination against influenza began in the 1930s with large-scale availability in the United States beginning in 1945..." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Influenza_vaccine
Nevertheless, between 10,000 to 61,000 between the years of 2010-2019 ( only one year was it around 10,000 deaths all other years, the death count due to the flu, was higher)
And from Covid? Well, that is a bit tricky to determine some say around 1/4 million
But................
A recent new CDC report shows 94% of COVID-19 deaths in US had contributing conditions
Sooooooo?????
Being sensible and 'safe' yes However, I think Christians need to get back to this:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Speaking of a virus, and not being able to worship many 'seem' to agree with this statement
( I do NOT agree with his statement!!!!!)
French Minister: Life Is ‘More Important’ Than Religious Freedom
In his “message to believers, ” Darmanin said that
“everyone’s health must come first,” even ahead of freedom to worship.

Liberty ( true freedom) is found with God...
Tyranny is found ......without God!
But WOW.... I can really see Satan lining up everything in a row:
Health is more important than freedom to worship God!!! What a perfect plan for the devil and as you mentioned Cindy, To also 'register' Christians
Because the evil one's time is coming!!!
4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4
Furthermore I can also see a purpose to closing down the whole world's economy.... because the anti-Christ might institute complete socialism by the Mark of the Beast ( and everything else taking the Mark entails)
[smear:#e61923] 15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.
16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,
17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. Revelation 13:15-17 [/smear:#0c0ba3:0]
France again:
French Prime Minister Jean Castex warned the country would "live with the virus for a long time," and added that he is considering new rules until a vaccine arrives.
"Festive, family gatherings in party halls will not be able to resume for a long time. Similarly, bars and restaurants, also high-risk transmission areas, will not be able to re-open from December 1," he said." www.dw.com/en/coronavirus-digest-german-leaders-warn-lockdown-measures-to-last-months/a-55604621
Well...... putting one and one together
Health more important that worshiping God and for a long long time.......
Does not seem to bode well for Christians!
God says this:
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Very true Barbara! I totally agree with all you've said! I wanted to mention a few things about Satan and his demons. Often people, including me, will say something about Satan doing this or that and when we read that it makes it sound like Satan is everywhere or at least in many places at the same time. That's simply not true though. Satan is a created angel who's fallen and he was never able to be in more then one place at a time, like all created beings. Generally we're really talking about demons when we use the term Satan in that way. There are billions of demons and even more angels, but each can only be in one place at a time.
Satan and demons are intelligent but they are not "all knowing" like God, although they would like us to think they are. Demons are powerful but not omnipotent. Let me quote one of my books about this: Because of the indwelling demons the man of the Gerasenes could break shackles and chains; no one was able to bind him because of his unusual strength (Mark 5:3–4). The demon in the boy sought to have the boy commit suicide by throwing him into fire and water (Mark 9:22). Demon possession impaired a man’s speech (Matt. 9:32) and kept a girl in cruel slavery (Matt. 15:22), yet demons are limited in their power; they cannot do the work of God (John 10:21). The Moody handbook of theology
Using the Moody handbook, I'd like to list some of the things demons do. The reason for this is so we can see just how active Satan and his demons are right now. Keep in mind however that they can't touch anyone unless God allows it. 1. Demons can inflict mental or physical diseases on people. 2. They can influence the way people think by blinding their minds; they can inhibit our ability to think and reason things out. While this is especially true of unbelievers, it can also happen to believers when they aren't spending time in God's Word with him daily and applying it to their life. James 3:15 indicates earthly wisdom is demonic and leads to jealousy and strife. The solution to demonic influence of the mind is to bring the thought process into subjection to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). 3. They deceive people - both believers and unbelievers. 1 Thess. 3:5 shows us that though the Thessalonians had received the gospel with joy, their hope could be sidetracked through the onslaught of Satan. Through his emissaries Satan also works in unbelievers; Paul refers to the prince of the power of the air “working in the sons of disobedience” (Eph. 2:2). The context indicates Satan deceives the unbelievers into living according to the lusts of the flesh and desires of the flesh and mind. Matthew 13:19 further indicates Satan’s deception in that he snatches the Word away when unbelievers hear it, thwarting their understanding. 4. Demons deceive nations. Demons will eventually gather the nations of the world together in rebellion against Christ (Rev. 16:14). They can deceive nations even now, which I think is what Daniel 10:13 shows us too. 5. They can possess a person, in fact, a person can have a great many demons within them at the same time. I believe I covered what demons can cause a person to do in another post already. Instead of posting the entire thing here again I'll just list the very basic things they do. They cause people to act indecently. They cause people to injure themselves, often by cutting themselves. They cause people to be isolated. They can cause depression. They can cause convulsions and seizures as well as sickness and disease. They can cause someone to be blind or mute. They can make the person shout and scream inappropriately. They can make the person extremely strong so they can stop someone from helping them. In other words, the demons like to do all that they can to humiliate the person they possess, hurt them, isolate them, and eventually they like to kill them or use them to harm or kill others. I'd also like to refute something many seem to think is true from watching TV. TV tells us that Satan rules over bad people in hell, but that's simply not true. Here is the truth about that: ““Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matthew 25:41) So we can know that Satan will be a prisoner in Hell (the lake of fire). Currently there are many demons free to do Satan's will here on earth; and there are many that are imprisoned by God until He releases some of them during the Tribulation.
Looking at this, and then considering all that's happening today, I think it's easy to see that Satan and his demons are busier then ever right now! There was an increase in Satanic and demonic activity when Jesus was here on the earth before, and I think there's been an increase here now, which to me indicates that it won't be long before the Lord comes to take us home!
