What name here did Margie use? It is one of those days where I am unorganized. Saw a video of a well stocked grocery store in FL. Things are so unavailable here it is not worth even going to look, but that is ok, I have enough to get by.

I am glad you all are doing well with your goings about shopping and all, but I have not been doing well here since I lived here and it is getting worse. I won't unload complaints but I am starting to feel angry about it and am having Ron go to do shopping instead of me. I could say a lot of negative things that are reality, but it won't help the reader, we all need to stay positive thinking.
If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36 Cindy if it is ok I would like to just comment on something you said in this devotional, if this is not proper to do, quote and comment let me know so I know it is error.
"You are free to love the people in your life when you love God more than anything. Because their love and acceptance is not your ultimate goal, you won’t be enslaved by your expectations for them and the disappointments that inevitably follow." The first sentence. That made me think of something I was thinking about a few days ago and that is that the love we feel inside of us is not our own love but love that the Lord has put in us. I think there is scripture somewhere but I don't have the time right now to look for it. The second sentence. Also they won't be enslaved by our expectations of them. I have had people express expectations of me and they were wrong, they did not know the Lord's will in my life.
Yes it is good for people to be set free from the trap of having their ultimate goal of other people's love and acceptance. The world goal continually tells people that lie and we see time after time people's lives being destroyed. They perish from a lack of knowledge.

Hello friends, I started at the top of page one (of this chat thread) and was really getting worried about Margie when you all started posting about not hearing from her lately. I was about to send her an email, but then saw that Lulu heard from her. So glad she's okay! I understand how she feels though (about not feeling like posting on forums); I was the same way for the first couple of weeks of this staying-at-home session (even though I LOVE being at home), and even though we're settled in and used to it now, I still am not getting much done.
Lulu and Ron got to meet Marlene?!? Did I read that correctly? How exciting! Tell us about it!!
Marlene, you are so pretty, thank you for posting your photo! I keep enlarging it, trying to see better, but then it blurs. Nonetheless, it makes me so happy to see your picture, and everyone else must feel the same way!
Cheryl, so you are still working? I had wondered if you were. Lee, that's interesting what all they are making you do at your job, with the changing of clothes, and I don't blame you for going in your pjs! (Were you serious?? ) It's nice that they clean your work clothes and have them ready for you the next day.
Seven, I just saw the end of Bernie Sanders' speech. Interesting point that even though he's withdrawing from the campaign, his name will remain on the ballots.
Cindy, I knew it would be so hard (if not impossible!) for you and Bruce to stay away from Jen's family. Sounds like you're all doing the best you can and at least the Easter egg hunt can still be done.
Well for an update on us: John's been able to work from home for the last few weeks, which is SUCH a blessing as he's considered more at-risk because of Crohn's and the treatment he takes, which is an immunosuppressant.
As for my job, I think 3 weeks ago today was our last day (it's all running together now... I hardly even know what day it is anymore). The optometrist said we would close through the end of March, but then he extended it to the end of April. After that, we'll see.
I am doing any shopping that needs to be done and have to say I'm really proud of John for staying in and behaving himself. He is the shopper in the family and the one who, through the years, loves to get out and GO places. He also tends to downplay germs & health risks, so for him to be taking this seriously and following the rules is a good thing.
We have driven though to pick up fast food a couple of times, but that is the only contact he's had with the public. Now -- he is walking a LOT around the neighborhood, and the fact that he's still working keeps him busy, so that helps pass the time for him. He is scheduled for his next treatment this coming Monday and we checked with his GI to see if it should be postponed, but the doctor said as long as he's not sick to go ahead and take it.
The boys are doing well. Timothy's still working his regular job, plus landscaping on Saturdays. Daniel was doing an internship for school and ended up being laid off from that because the company is working from home now and he's not set up to do that. However, he got hired with another company to learn to do land surveying and started Monday and loves it. He's a little higher risk too due to asthma and his room-mates aren't doing a good job of social distancing , but otherwise all is well.
Oh, Daniel's 'other' best friend (they were a group of 3 boys who grew up together) got married on Sunday, but due to the virus only the immediate family could attend, plus the bridesmaids and groomsmen. So Daniel was there, but I was so sad to miss the wedding of one of my "other boys."
Last thing, I lost a friend to Covid19, also on Sunday. I did not know her well, but she sang in the Baptist ladies choir I was in for a few years, and we were both in the Alto 1 section. She was such a sweet, fun, chatty person; always laughing and cutting up, always a joy to be around. We know she's with the Lord, but still, so sad.
Don't want to end on a sad note.... my mom is doing well, so that's a praise!
OH -- I know what else I wanted to mention -- would any of you care to do a group "Zoom" session? My church is using that for our small groups to keep in touch and it's working pretty well. If anyone's interested, I can set it up so let me know.

Stay safe! moon was pretty last night! sent a note to Margie last night! She and her hubby are fine! She said she just hasn’t felt like being on any forums lately. Said she was really bored! Thank you so much for letting me know! I had sent her a PM too but it was a while ago and she's never replied to it, so that added to my worry. I'm so relieved to hear that she and her husband are both ok.
I'm not sure I understand Lulu....why wouldn't you be able to continue to stay in Mesa? Is it something to do with the virus, or does it have to do with RV's in general, or something else? I am glad you all are doing well with your goings about shopping and all, but I have not been doing well here since I lived here and it is getting worse. You're always welcome to comment on anything I post. I love talking about God's Word! But I'm not sure which devotional you got it from lol. And what you said is so true, thank you for sharing that!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. John 16:13
May the peace from God be with us, all brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Jesus freely gives us a peace and rest. We know we have made a wise choice.
Not a peace that the world gives, who don't know this hope in glory.

Seven I wondered where you were. My laptop computer got repaired today, nice to have if I want to take it to a library in the future and use it there. I think all that rain will miss us here, but we have some squirrely wind, so somewhere will get a storm tomorrow or Saturday. At 8 tonight I will listen to Michael as he will be a guest speaker asked questions and will answer, questions about space weather and incoming space debris to arrive on around May 10th... I used to make a good potato soup, enjoy the potato soup with your family. I have decided to do a Bible study on the book of Thessalonians, I will save to documents on my computer.
