Since, I am thinking today might not be exactly following in a super logical fashion ( not that I am saying I do that anyway hahah)
I am kind of wanting to make some points I missed yesterday, perhaps in a more random fashion, looking at these verses again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[smear:#29743d] 14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped. Revelation 16:14-16[/smear:#e67519:0]
About the one sitting on a cloud, I think this will be perhaps the filling of the prophecy in Daniel:
[smear:#155917]13 “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days Daniel 7:13[/smear:#0e5558:0]
Also this verse reminds us of Jesus:
[smear:#0d4902]30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:30 [/smear:#1924e6:0] About the harvest.....it is fully ripe and ready. a few verses:
[smear:#982536]For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time when it is trodden; yet a little while and the time of her harvest will come.” Jeremiah 51:33[/smear:#186779:0]
[smear:#6b7a0b]29 But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” Mark 4:29[/smear:#e61955:2] [smear:#45b253] But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord; they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor. Micah 4:12 [/smear:#55265c:0]
One might wonder at why it says:'like' the son of man I do not know but we do know Jesus was fully man however..... even more so He was, and is, and shall always be God ( God the Son).
it just occurred to me that maybe a lot of people either do not know what a sickle is or they may never have seen one
I can find even another reason I was blessed to have been adopted by folks who were born in the 1800's because my dad had a sickle ( he also had a lawn mower,,,,)
but he had a lot of antique tools, probably inherited them from his dad,.. and likewise my mom, who grew up on a farm So one can look up an image on the net but basically it has a long wooded handle and a curved sharpened metal blade on the end...and is used to chop down grain etc.
However in this case it symbolizes the final gathering and separation of that which is desirable ( saved people) and productive (like wheat), from that which is useless ( rebellious unsaved) and only good for the fire (like tares, chaff would be).

This may be 2 days in a row of smaller than usual writing, because we always get our Check on the 3rd and go shopping for our once a month food supplies.
Actually Leonard HAD to get up early to get Hossanah to work and we may have to pick her up as well.
All the employees where Brian works have been laid off....which means he is doing the work of ( I am not sure how many??) He works in the freezer, does the packing of the fish, and today is doing delivery, oh and cutting the fish etc.
Yup fun days
anyway, not sure if we have to watch the kids and do home schooling with them today or not also
soooooooooooo

I mentioned yesterday about sickles because as we see they are a symbol for God's judgment:
[smear:#2be619]15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” 16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped. 17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. Revelation 14:15-17[/smear:#ad18a6:0]
I don't think I mentioned this concerning Jesus ( the Son of man)
[smear:#216055]27 And he has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man" John 5:27[/smear:#aa19e6:0]
And so the time of delay, mercy, and grace is over, it is time for the harvest.
To reap and harvest is to judge and punish the people of earth. Ripe can be understood as over ripe or rotten ( stinking, putrid, loathsome etc.), they has no usefulness. The bad is going to be destroyed.
People often ask, why does God allow evil....well, I think, one of the reasons is because of His love, not wanting any to perish.....but no more will come to be saved, they cannot and they will not.
so the angels come to do God's bidding, and they all come with sharp sickles.
And so we come to the 'grapes of wrath '
Seems to me, author, John Steinbeck won all sorts of book awards, including a Nobel prize for his novel with that title....
but THE author of Creation had those words way before Mr. Steinbeck's book.
[smear:#9a3460]18 And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia. Revelation 14:18-20 [/smear:#19e61f:0]
This angel is identified a bit differently, in that, he comes from the altar and he has authority ( power) over fire. The incense and fire of the Jewish altar symbolized the prayers, this angel is the Heavenly counterpart, I think. So it seems the prayers of the saints are going to be answered.
[smear:#248a40]"Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Go in, tread, for the winepress is full. The vats overflow, for their evil is great. Joel 3:14[/smear:#551954:0]
I will look at this more tomorrow.

Great idea!! When I am done, I will say so :)
Cool, I knew you might have a good solution.....
because I can just see myself getting into all sorts of troubles, trying to erase posts, and repost posts etc.
and no doubt, it would be just a matter of time,
and I would make a mistake, end up voiding the one I wanted to keep and then... I would be sooooo frustrated and sad...
not to mention MAD LOLOL
Today's post 'might' be a little strange I have a 'general' idea when my doctor is to call for a phone appointment
but even the nurse said, yet today he is NOT a doctor who looks at his watch and says:
Okay your 15 mins is up..... nooooo he has never been known for that
he almost always takes however long it takes with each patient
Sooooo I have a general idea that he will call around 11:20 my time
But if I am in the middle of a thought writing and he calls.... when ever....
I 'might' forget what my thought was..... ( when I get back to whatever I was saying/writing)
Just so you know, if it seems choppy, or thoughts unfinished Yet you haven't said you were done on any of these posts, so I had to just guess at which ones you had finished with.....
Since, I am thinking today might not be exactly following in a super logical fashion ( not that I am saying I do that anyway hahah)

I'm a little confused, which isn't anything new lol. But the last scripture you did from Revelation before was Revelation 14:14-16, so I'm unsure of why you've jumped to Rev 16:14-16? Oh wait, I see what happened now, you just hit the wrong number! It should say Revelation 14:14-16! We've all done that before!
As to why it says, "like a son of man" it's because it's taken from the vision in Daniel 7:13, like you said, and because it's taken from there it implies deity and incredible majesty. This may be 2 days in a row of smaller than usual writing, because we always get our Check on the 3rd and go shopping for our once a month food supplies.
Actually Leonard HAD to get up early to get Hossanah to work and we may have to pick her up as well.

soooooooooooo no problem.... I hope you were done with this one and the one above that I replied to though. I'll wait to do the next one as I don't want to keep guessing, since I'm bound to be wrong eventually lol.

Back to the grapes of wrath:
[smear:#157707]17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia. Revelation 14:17-20[/smear:#73093b:0]
So the wicked
( who will never come to Jesus to be saved, these have taken the mark of the beast and by doing so have forever turned their back on redemption, forgiveness, ability to repent or to have restoration).
If God did not exact judgment, He could not vindicate His character of being considered unjust...
He has now He provides way more than ample opportunity for the godless ( out of His great love and wishing none to be lost)
they have made their choice and sealed their fate.... therefore they are being cut off....they are ripe in their wickedness.
it is reminiscent of this verse:
[smear:#70347a]For their vine comes from the vine of Sodom and from the fields of Gomorrah; their grapes are grapes of poison; their clusters are bitter; 33 their wine is the poison of serpents and the cruel venom of asps. Deuteronomy 32:32-33[/smear:#e63f19:0]
or even [smear:#881620] “The Lord rejected all my mighty men in my midst; he summoned an assembly against me to crush my young men; the Lord has trodden as in a winepress.... Lamentations 1:15 [/smear:#491f88:0]
also
[smear:#482171]Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Go in, tread, for the winepress is full. The vats overflow, for their evil is great. Joel 3:13[/smear:#a20811:0]
The blood will be as high as up a horses’ bridle, and as long a distance of two hundred miles...
I think this is the result of the final battle of Armageddon ( the battle will be around Jerusalem. ...but the city will be spared).
it would have been eternal so different if these people had heeded these verses:
[smear:#e63c19]It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31[/smear:#2ce619:0]
and
[smear:#161b5b]Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,.... Psalm 2:12[/smear:#0e8a20:0]
I ALMOST forgot........
I am done for today!!!!

Interestingly, these next verses mentions the word plagues....the final, last plagues of God's wrath. We are in the midst of a world wide plague now, but it is just a hint of what is coming.
People have been wanting a glorious future, a paradise, and so on throughout history, but instead they often get war, sickness, poverty etc.
However, so many people have wanted pleasure, peace, etc. on their own terms, without God.....
and so,
the future is going to continue to be dreadful, bleak, scary, foreboding, devastating....
I do not know, if when this particular virus, calms down ( IF it will, or if it will for any length of time)
or if everything will go back to 'normal' or not
but even IF things should go back to 'normal', it will not stay that way....it may for a short time but...
we are looking in Revelation at the future....and we have seen it is not good and the future will only get worse
We might get a break from this plague but don't count on all going back to 'normal' for very long.
[smear:#e6198d]I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. 2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God . Revelation 15:1,2[/smear:#196ae6:0]
One example was in the days of Noah! Everything 'seemed' to be going along swimmingly! people were working, marrying, eating, playing, and so on and on.... and then silly Noah started building a 'boat' and that was great entertainment, good for laughs!! Until.... everything in the whole world changed!!!
Who would have thought in December of last year, we would be in a world wide pandemic this year?
Many people have completely erased even the idea of God from their mind. it some sort of archaic crutch for the weak, and they pride themselves of their great intellect for not falling for such unscientific nonsense. Oh and by the way, not having such a silly 'myth' allows them to indulge in all sorts of pleasures sex, drugs, alcohol, minor theft, etc etc. with now guilt, because, there is no God who might disapprove to the point of anger/wrath they do not worry about the equally foolish fear mongering manipulation of a place called Hell and they note with their great intellect, that all myths are essentially the same.
And, they are wrong on all accounts!!!!
No this is NOT the worst plague to have ever hit planet earth ( well, at least I do not think so who know if it mutates or even if it ever get done, we may see it in a different light)
But I think this is maybe only a 'wake up' call a preview a warning.... things are NOT going to be the same
It is time to start really thinking about your sins about God about your life and death.... about salvation about the truth etc.
[smear:#a6451d]“Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, Israel, prepare to meet your God.” Amos 4:12[/smear:#3b2f9b:0]
Just because it says Israel, does not mean the rest of the people of the world can relax, thinking its not about them.... no rather, if this is what God says to His beloved people, then how much worse, for those who do not even give Him a thought?
People don't want God, they laugh and mock the very Neanderthal idea of Him but then when they hear of His anger.... they also complain and whine that he would send them to hell.... when they have clearly chosen NOT to have anything to do with Him but God in a sense, will give them what they want....nothing to do with Him
He offered love
[smear:#e61941]3 Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? Ezekiel 18:23 [/smear:#561688:0]
but they did not want it, if it meant keeping them from their beloved sins... and so now ( coming in the future...in the day of the Lord...)
[smear:#03181e]Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it. Isaiah 13:9[/smear:#891723:0]
God's wrath can come on one man, or a town like Sodom and Gomorrah, or a nation, or the whole world we've seen that before in Noah's day and now ....
We see the 7 angels prepared to prepare to administer the last seven final plagues, on sinful mankind for rejecting God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Done for today....I will look at this more tomorrow.

That was great! I really enjoyed it!

I looked at the last 7 angels yesterday and verse 2 says this:
[smear:#4a6d13]2 And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. Revelation 15:2[/smear:#df19e6:0]
It may have seemed like I have to defend what God is going to do, but in fact, that would not be true. He does not need to be defended, he has every right to do what He is going to do.
As a reminder, God's mercy, love, grace, redemption and salvation have been rejected, mocked, spurned etc. and all that is left is for His wrath.....
[smear:#e64919]“Therefore wait for me,” declares the Lord, “for the day when I rise up to seize the prey. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all my burning anger; for in the fire of my jealousy all the earth shall be consumed. Zephaniah 3:8[/smear:#135b39:0]
So this ' sea of glass' it's most likely, not actual water ( like H2O or salt water either)
It reminds us of perhaps, something like these verses in Exodus:
[smear:#95540a]9 Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up, 10 and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness. Exodus 24:9,10[/smear:#082428:0] The fact of being clear as glass, may speak to cleanliness ( like water) and/or purity. It's kind of interesting that water of baptism can symbolize both death ( because of sin) and resurrection to holiness.
The idea of a 'sea' could also be a symbol of a vast number ( of saints)...and they are standing on some kind of transparent glass like platform mixed with the fire of God's judgment.

Good, but you seemed to miss something about this "sea of glass" that's different then when it's spoken of in Revelation 4:6: “Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.” (Revelation 4:6) Here's this verse again: “And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God” (Revelation 15:2)
One explanation is that the sea mingled with fire speaks of God's wrath which is about to come. Another is that the fire could be referring to the fiery persecution which these people had suffered under the beast. Or, the sea mingled with fire could spea of divine judgment proceeding from God’s holiness.

Now we come to verse 3 of Chapter 15
[smear:#772772]3 And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, Revelation 15:3[/smear:#e65c19:0]
And here we are looking at the future and yet, we are looking 'back'..... waaaay back To a song, during the time of Moses:
concerning the miraculous intervention of God, and commemorating the victory when Israel crossed the Red Sea but Pharaoh’s troops ( the Egyptian army ) were destroyed in the sea.... by that incredible miracle when God parted the Red Sea ( for the Israelites, but then closed over and drowned the Egyptian army).
The actual song song of redemption in the book of Exodus, in the Bible, is ( depending on which version I think) 18 verses long.
Moses used by God, led the Israelites out of bondage into the Promised land, and Jesus, is now ( or at that time) going to lead the Saints to the Promised Land called.... Heaven. Some of the components of that song has to do with: the complete devastation and judgment of the ungodly... deliverance and victoty judgment and wrath rescue and redemption safety and security God’s faithfulness ( to Israel, and believers also) triumph over Egypt, and triumph over Babylon God's bringing His people out of bondage, and bringing then into Heaven the Greatness of God, and the Greatness of God
the uniqueness of God of God is recognized (as opposed to the counterfeit boast of the devil/Satan/anti-Christ:)
And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?” Revelation 13:4
vs.
[smear:#8012a3]“Who is like you, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like you, majestic in holiness, awesome in glorious deeds, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11[/smear:#ea0bb3:0] [smear:#e6192f]

Very good! You're doing so well!
I just finished reading the OT again and the last part was particularly amazing. Reading from say, Daniel on while this corona virus is going on has been a huge eye opener! God is so amazing and so very good to us all!

We are looking at God's final wrath that is coming we are about to embark upon seven bowl judgments/plagues. But tied to it we are also looking at the song of Moses:
[smear:#2b4b4e] 3 And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! 4 Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” Revelation 15:3,4[/smear:#e619dc:0]
Just as a quick reminder the sequence is seven seals, seven trumpets, and lastly seven bowl s of judgments
I can't help but look at our present situation with this Corina virus. Certainly there have been ( at least, so far....) worse ones... BUT what makes this different is it is a 'new' virus even more so It has affected almost ( if not all) the nations of earth and it has caused all manner of unheard of things to happen, in almost all of these nations, which is astounding!!!
And that reminds us of this verse:
[smear:#6b2058]5 "God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend. Job 37:5 [/smear:#038645:0]
And it also can remind us of this verse ( tho speaking to Israel....it seems to begin to apply to the whole world....and in the future in both God's past mercies, and justice)
[smear:#4519e6]10 And he said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you. Exodus 34:10 [/smear:#e63f19:0]
Here is one more:
[smear:#a51819]Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other. Psalms 85:10[/smear:#1938e6:0]
And the fear of the Lord ( mentioned in the song of Moses) is prudent !!!
[smear:#367352]The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! Psalms 111:10 [/smear:#892305:0]
We are not to fear, people, the world, or even this Corina virus ( I don't mean we can be stupid and demand God protect us from it.....but we are not to panic about it, as tho it were a god).
another verse about instead 'fearing God':
[smear:#ab0819] Who would not fear you, O King of the nations? For this is your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like you. Jeremiah 10:7[/smear:#145621:0]
And.... the time to give God the glory is now, before it becomes too late:
9[smear:#7a7c10] All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. 10 For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God. Psalms 86:9,10[/smear:#6e188a:0]
God alone is Holy:
And one called to another ( angels) and said:
[smear:#19e686]“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory! Isaiah 6:3[/smear:#e61934:0]
And lastly ( for today) this verse also is a truth in the future ( as it was in the song of Moses) [smear:#56366b] "All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name". Psalms 86:9[/smear:#e61982:0]

the last 4 verses of this very short chapter of Revelation 15 say:
[smear:#e66a19]5 After this I looked, and the sanctuary of the tent of witness in heaven was opened, 6 and out of the sanctuary came the seven angels with the seven plagues, clothed in pure, bright linen, with golden sashes around their chests. 7 And one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever, 8 and the sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished. Revelation 15:5-8 [/smear:#0f7871:0]
Just at a quick glance we see that God's is going to commission 7 more angels to pour out the final plagues of God's wrath.
Is this, just and righteous? Yes! As I have talked about before, that all the people who took the mark of the beast, didn't do it, only so that they could be able to buy and sell ( and thus live), but what damned them for eternity was that they also 'knowingly', took the mark, as a well understood choice, embracing the anti-Christ over God ( and desiring the devil as their 'god')..... therefore their fate was forever sealed.
[smear:#1ae619]"the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether". Psalms 19:9[/smear:#782b53:0]
Therefore each of these 7 angels will execute and fulfill their assignment/orders, with the most severe and final judgments from God.
And so John sees 'the sanctuary of the tent of witness', we saw it's symbolic counterpart on earth, for example in the book of Numbers:
[smear:#e6198d]11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud lifted from over the tabernacle of the testimony, Numbers 10:11[/smear:#e65419:0]
The 'white' of their garments show they are pure and holy, and the golden sashes indicates they 'belong' to God, and are 'royal' ( God dresses His subjects in a similar way) and it also denotes they are not demons...
Jesus (God the Son) is seen dressed in similar fashion:
[smear:#c99d19]13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. Revelation 1:13[/smear:#20b69f:0]
This is also seen as those 'belonging', to our Lord, in this verse:
[smear:#e6192f]14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. Revelation 19:14[/smear:#0d328c:1]
We see a similar idea concerning their clothing in this verse:
[smear:#e6e019]4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. Luke 24:4[/smear:#342b7b:0]

So now to chapter 16 and the 7 bowls of God's wrath. Here is the first one:
[smear:#54e619]1 "Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”
2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image". Revelation 16:1,2 [/smear:#b619e6:0]
Before we saw the angels with the 7 final bowls of God's Judgment being poured out, starting with the first one. And tho it is so very sad, the prayerful hope is that some of the lost, will be saved before these judgments actually come.
So these bowls are being poured out on unrepentant, ungodly, sinners, who are already doomed, because of the mark of the beast they have taken. The 'loud voice' would be God, and He gives the command to the angels to carry out with their assignments.
This might come as a shock to those teaching the 'prosperity' gospel ( and now that our country is pretty much crippled by a virus we cannot even see.....the 'property' by and large, is dismally and greatly reduced! Likewise, the idea that God's would 'judge' unrepentant sinners is probably disturbing to those who ONLY preach God loves you... and who loved more than Jesus.... and yet, Jesus preached a lot on Hell and damnation.
We see what God thinks and feels about rebellion, rejection, worshiping Satan, and sin. Past plagues were partial, affecting perhaps one country etc... but now they are total.... affecting every unbeliever!
Even in the Old Testament we read many verses about God's wrath with the wicked: Here is just one:
[smear:#8b19e6]1 "O God, the nations have come into your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple; they have laid Jerusalem in ruins. 2 They have given the bodies of your servants to the birds of the heavens for food, the flesh of your faithful to the beasts of the earth. 3 They have poured out their blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there was no one to bury them. 4 We have become a taunt to our neighbors, mocked and derided by those around us.
5 How long, O Lord? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out your anger on the nations that do not know you, and on the kingdoms that do not call upon your name! Psalm 79:1-6[/smear:#11909c:0]
God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus to pay for all our sins....but they would not have any of it!! But now....we are reminded of verses like these:
[smear:#95e619]“The sound of an uproar from the city! A sound from the temple! The sound of the Lord, rendering recompense to his enemies! Isaiah 66:6[/smear:#e61959:0]
[smear:#6ea848]"Pour out your wrath on the nations that know you not, and on the peoples that call not on your name......." Jeremiah 10:25 [/smear:#18b9bd:0]
[smear:#153b65]“Therefore wait for me,” declares the Lord, “for the day when I rise up to seize the prey. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all my burning anger; for in the fire of my jealousy all the earth shall be consumed." Zephaniah 3:8[/smear:#cb19e6:0]
and so the first angel pours out malignant sores/ulcers.oozing boils/cancers foul and extremely painful, upon the men who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped him and his image.”
This is reminiscent of the boils Satan struck Job with: [smear:#215421] 7 "So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with loathsome sores from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head". Job 2:7[/smear:#9a19e6:0]
and this:
[smear:#19e662]9 It shall become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and become boils breaking out in sores on man and beast throughout all the land of Egypt.” 10 So they took soot from the kiln and stood before Pharaoh. And Moses threw it in the air, and it became boils breaking out in sores on man and beast. 11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils came upon the magicians and upon all the Egyptians. Exodus 9:9-11[/smear:#63b70a:0]
and it even reminds us of this:
[smear:#e61979]12 And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. Zechariah 14:12 [/smear:#1a7d4c:0]
But just the worshipers of Antichrist will be so afflicted.
Done for today.

As a person who grew up right on the ocean in Conn, to the ocean in Hawaii, to the ocean in Or. and as an artist... just from a 'beauty' perspective, this is a sad image ( reality coming) Oceans of congealed like blood ( not a 'pretty' picture)!! Of course there is a lot more to this than, less than beautiful scenery!
[smear:#48834d]3 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea. Revelation 16:2 [/smear:#e619cc:0]
In the second trumpet, a third of the sea became blood and a third of the sea creatures in the oceans died, now.... all that was left is dead.
This also reminds us of what happened during the time of Moses in the land of Egypt
[smear:#1979e6]” 19 And the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, their canals, and their ponds, and all their pools of water, so that they may become blood, and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, even in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’” Exodus 7:19[/smear:#e6192c:0]
From time to time, we get what is called a Red tide, and it kills massive amounts of marine life, I sometimes think of this as being a small preview of things to come.
In any case, ALL the oceans of the world will become putrid seas of death, filled with noxious odors a horrible stink of rotting marine life....rather...death, ugliness, very toxic and poisonous etc. Whereas the trumpet judgments were 'partial.... in part, like 1/3rd, but the bowl judgments, are total, universal, world wide and complete.
In any case, this verse will no longer be true, for the ungodly worshipers of the anti-Christ:
[smear:#e61948]11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life. Leviticus 17:11[/smear:#110d29:0]
Just as Pharaoh did not repent, these worshipers of the beast ( the anti-Christ), will not either .
These people who killed and spilled the blood the saints, now have nothing but putrid blood to drink.
[smear:#0a9da9]I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh, and they shall be drunk with their own blood as with wine. Then all flesh shall know that I am the Lord your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.” Isaiah 49:26[/smear:#26af4d:0]
Which explains the 3rd angel's bowl that he poured out, at God's command
[smear:#e66119]4 The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel in charge of the waters say,
“Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!” Revelation 4-6[/smear:#1e581a:0]
At no time do any of the people repent.

Now we come to the 4th bowl of judgment...the sun!
[smear:#c6cc17]8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory. Revelation 16:8,9[/smear:#e64419:0]
The sun has always been a 'giver' of life for the planet, providing warmth, light, and energy but now it will become deadly by scorching men with fierce heat
This will be the true 'global warming'!! So in a way, the environmentalists are right there is going to be 'global warming and it will be the worst kind of disaster and mankind will kind of caused it......... But...... not for driving a car, or hair spray or raising cows that pass gas.... no it will be because of their sins, and refusal to worship, love and obey their Creator and refusing to be saved by the sacrifice of Jesus
Therefore
[smear:#e62c19]For a fire is kindled by my anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol, devours the earth and its increase, and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains. Deuteronomy 32:22[/smear:#6b0d1e:0]
In Revelation 8 a third of the sun was struck
[smear:#8b7412]12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, .... Revelation 8:12[/smear:#a72a57:0]
But they do not repent instead they curse with God's name
blasphemy....something so many people do today as if it were the most 'natural' thing to do....
Soooo many people express their anger and frustration by screaming Jesus name or God's name
But here is a 'news flash':
God last name is NOT damn!!!
but also I have noticed .....
that people only use God name or swear using Jesus name ( tho they may also add Christ to their swearing....odd they would even use that name at all)
They never ever swear using Mohamed's name or Buddha's name or any other religion founder's name....
curious, and astounding really,
of course,
if they did in fact ,ever try it, especially while in the Middle East, they would be promptly killed, most likely!!!
So this is their predicted truthful future :
( unless they repent and turn to Jesus for salvation which we should remember today we celebrate tho at home He is Risen He is Risen Indeed!!)
mankind have worshiped the sun, moon, and stars ( even today people look at their horoscope to see their future.....but only God can tell them their true future) but unbeliever's do not need an astrologer to tell them their future :
[smear:#e66e19]“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. Malachi 4:1[/smear:#8f0d2b:0]
even this verse should give them the information they are looking for: [smear:#451b10] The earth shall be utterly empty and utterly plundered; for the Lord has spoken this word. Isaiah 24:3[/smear:#9a0fb4:0]
God's people have a different kind of promise, tho I am not sure of the exact timing, but as to being scorched by heat....
T[smear:#219e94]hey shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. Revelation 7:16[/smear:#20e619:0]

I can't believe it. As I was typing the very last word in reply to all your posts, my computer went haywire, the browser closed, and the computer turned off. There was a power surge here which is what caused it. The point being that I lost everything I wrote since posts are only saved until you close the browser. So I'll have to try again tomorrow. Sorry.

The fifth bowl specifically targets those in the kingdom of the beast ( which would be in the whole world)
[smear:#1d681a] 10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 11 and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds.[/smear:#e63b19:0]
This mentions his throne, and his kingdom, all in darkness....tho this is a physical darkness, it is a spiritual one as well.
Which reminds us Jesus said: [smear:#991b3f] 24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, Mark 13:24[/smear:#61e619:0]
and of
[smear:#3919e6]For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60:2[/smear:#e61928:1]
Also
[smear:#211a6e]a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness! Like blackness there is spread upon the mountains a great and powerful people; their like has never been before, nor will be again after them through the years of all generations. Joel 2:2 [/smear:#831f29:1]
Plus [smear:#ad4e27] But with an overflowing flood he will make a complete end of the adversaries, and will pursue his enemies into darkness. Nahum 1:8[/smear:#e61934:0]
this also:
[smear:#729320]A day of wrath is that day, a day of distress and anguish, a day of ruin and devastation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, Zephaniah 1:15[/smear:#e619e1:0]
However they are unwilling to repent rather they bite their tongue in anguish.....how sad they have so hardened their hearts!! So they “Gnawed their tongues”: in a futile attempt to alleviate the pain from their sores...rather than repent.
done for today...the net is too weird

the last 4 verses of this very short chapter of Revelation 15 say:
Done for today
Very good! But I don't like the way ESV translated verse 5. A lot of people wouldn't have a clue what "the tent of witness" was. Most of the other versions translate it: “After this I looked and in heaven the temple, that is, the tabernacle of the Testimony, was opened.” (Revelation 15:5) What's really strange is that ESV translates it as "the tabernacle of the Testimony" in numbers but not in revelation.
I really liked the way you explained that when the people take the mark of the beast, they do it knowingly and not just so they can buy food and survive. Because we live in the age of Grace, where we must live by faith and not by sight, we tend to forget that all kinds of amazing miracles will be taking place during the Tribulation. One of them being that an angel will be flying all over the earth warning people not to take the mark and telling them what will happen if they do. Every single human being on earth will hear this warning, so there will be no excuse at all.
Good job! The first 3 and a half years of the tribulation have ended and the AntiChrist has just defiled the temple and begun forcing people to take his mark when these sores break out on them. At the same time these sores break out on the unsaved who've taken the mark, the Jew's will be fleeing to Petra where God will keep them safe for the rest of the tribulation. So these sores will hamper the AntiChrist's men from arresting the Jews who are fleeing. One commentary suggested that the sores afflict the unsaved because all their internal corruption is being outwardly manifested.
As a person who grew up right on the ocean in Conn, to the ocean in Hawaii, to the ocean in Or. and as an artist... just from a 'beauty' perspective, this is a sad image ( reality coming) Oceans of congealed like blood ( not a 'pretty' picture)!!

Done for today
Well done!

Well done! Some have suggested that the heat could be caused by a huge solar flare; Hal Lindsey and others suggest that in a fullscale nuclear exchange the balance of the atmosphere will be radically upset, and this could be one of the things that is implied here.

Good! What happened in Egypt when Moses was freeing the Israelites, can give us an idea of what this will be like: “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness will spread over Egypt—darkness that can be felt.” So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days. No one could see anyone else or leave his place for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.” (Exodus 10:21–23) The Lord even tells us why He sends darkness: “He sent darkness and made the land dark— for had they not rebelled against his words?” (Psalm 105:28) This darkness apparently mimics Hell: “But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”” (Matthew 8:12) This verse shows that the first 3 plagues are still continuing: the sores are still in force. Many think it shows that the bowls are cumulative.
Because the Jews will be able to see, this judgement will give them a chance to escape the AntiChrist's men and get to a safe place. Just as we are now seeing mini previews of the judgements to come, this is a mini preview of Hell, for the unsaved who will be going there. Note that the darkness isn't just a lack of light. It can be "felt" and the feeling of it is painful!

As always, thank you so much for your contributions!!! :)
the darkness allowing the Jews to escape is a good point. Also a huge solar flare or a full scale nuclear exchange for the sun's heat....etc. etc.
So far....the net ( and/or wifi provider) seems a wee bit better today, but we'll see.

The world has been in what we might call a severe situation with a pandemic, but like any the world has faced in the past, they are only a small portion of what will be, in the tribulation! And so now, we come to the 6th angel's bowl...
[smear:#73a505] The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. Revelation 16:12[/smear:#058788:0]
The great river Euphrates is eighteen-hundred miles long and it runs from north to south. The headwaters are found in Mount Ararat., where the ark ended up. The summit of Mount Ararat is about around seventeen thousand feet, and is snow-capped throughout the year.
We read about it in the Old testament in many places, here are a few:
[smear:#1d19e6]And the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. Genesis 2:14 [/smear:#7ee619:0]
[smear:#7b2152]4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory. Joshua 1:4[/smear:#19e61a:0]
[smear:#872050]On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, Genesis 15:18[/smear:#2d828c:0]
But we have this verse in Isaiah [smear:#2b765c] And the Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt, and will wave his hand over the River with his scorching breath, and strike it into seven channels, and he will lead people across in sandals. Isaiah 11:15[/smear:#e619e1:0]
The great river Euphrates is dried up so that kings from the east may cross to the west....so that God’s enemies can gather to their destruction. This army could be around 3 to 5 million strong. But they are heading into a trap....God's trap....just like the parting of the Red Sea ended up a trap for Egyptian army and Pharaoh.
Scripture does not tell us exactly why they are coming, is it the fierce hatred for the Jews, are people fed-up with the anti-Christ who has failed to alleviate the world’s suffering.
It's possible some of the other judgments had to do with the Euphrates drying up and no longer being the natural dividing line between East and West.
I am not saying that our US President and China's, less than friendly relationship today, has anything at all to do with this verse.... it just is interesting... as we certainly live in an 'interesting' time.

Good! It's interesting that for close to 1000 years, Japan has been known as “the kingdom of the rising sun,” which makes me think they'll part of this. Also of interest is that this has been made technically possible by the Russians’ construction of a dam near the headwaters of the Euphrates. Not that God needs to use human science to dry it up, in fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see Him use some other method just to prove that!

I know, I have to keep reminding myself,
that although mankind continues towards an ever faster, and increasing technological advances
and
they 'might' be used in the tribulation
that might not be what God will use at all!
