You're welcome, Barbara. Let us know if you try it.
Lulu, I knew what you were going through, even before you told us. I went through the exact same thing. I'll bet that even the verbal exchange, between you and Ron, was the same as with me and Ed. I also took it to the Lord. I also hid away from Ed, when he was going through that. I knew what was causing the depression, and had no power over stopping it, so I asked the Lord to stop it and He did. I miss my Ed so much.
Cindy, they did Bruce an injustice, not only by messing with his chemical balance, but they prevented Bruce from knowing if something was terribly wrong. If Bruce cannot feel the pain, then he cannot tell the doctors that something needed attention. What is WRONG with our so-called medical professionals these days?? Well...........thinking about my own question makes me lean toward the politics and the greed of today's society.............I guess that if they can't sell tons of opioids through the pharmacies, then they have to overload patients in the hospitals, to keep the cash flow going? Sorry, but I had to throw that out there. This cat and mouse game has to stop! I'm talking about the doctor/pharmacy made opioid crisis. The people who need the meds the most are suffering because of the doctors shoving it down the throats of the ones who don't. There's more, but I'll shut up now. I'm just seeing too many people I love, who are suffering because they are not receiving treatment, and seeing others who don't need the treatment who would rather take it to get high, or sell it. Who do they blame? The pain patient. OK, I did say I'd shut up now, didn't I?

to most of you on the East Coast....
it's been a nice day here, slept in, coffee with Ron....then running errands all day, well, all afternoon.... I agree Cheryl...it's all about the money with them pharmacies and our congress, it's sad that not ALL of America doesn't see that...praying for a drained swamp...
well yesterday started out slow, did get busy though, then had a disappointing afternoon. We had yet another lay off....they keep saying *work is coming* but it never gets there...4 people got laid off....one lady, Sokan....she is Cambodian, man the story's she told me about her childhood, mine was the American dream compared to hers! and most of you have heard the telling of my upbringing... we always talked politics, we were on the same page and I will miss having those conversations with her! Kamel had a 20 year run with the company...QC .... so to say the least Friday was a sad day....
Cheryl, I believe I've only seen Ron really depressed twice in these 35 years together....both pretty bad...he had anger to work through for sure, but I don't think the anger was about me at all....I mean I said my piece if I had to, but I mostly just stayed away....I've been depressed a couple or more times also, but mostly my moods where more sad, not really depressed....and I definitely had anger to work through, some was toward him, but most was dealing with my wonderful upbringing...
but today has been a good day, weather is wired, over cast, but warm...just a tat of blue sky peeking through the clouds....birds chirping...nice walk this morning with my Boy...

Sorry you are going to miss your friend Sokan Lulu, as you will have to get used to your friend not being there.
I have to get ready to go shopping, that will be an all-day deal. It has been windy here but today will not be so windy so I can go for a long drive, which I feel like going for a long drive in the car, so that is good. I just thought of something interesting to tell you about an on-line friend Jeff, but I have to go now, will tell later.

Attachment Deleted yesterday was a pretty boring day, but we made it through with more rumors of lay offs....ugh... this morning hasn't been all that quiet either...now it is, but our baby Netty called this morning...she is tracing the Reid and Sherwood family trees. Her and Justin did the DNA thing through Ancestry.com and are both researching family..so it's fun to talk about... I do have work to go in for this AM, but only 3 Boeing boards...but I think final QC might have work for me today...

Cheryl: Thanks for the added tip....can you just imagine it I had to steady a falling jar without a mitt and got burned.....LOL It would have only proved, that sterilizing was for the birds ha ha...so thank you again!!!
Cindy: Wow...thank you again for the update....you are amazing....I just know you must be so tired you are almost sleepwalking LOL Yeah, I'm exhausted and seem to wake up that way lately too. I'm so sorry I didn't make it back to the Bible study again after the other day, but I've again been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, and it's not easing up yet even. But I'll get there as soon as I can. I just wanted to post so that you all would know I was still alive. Today I'll be rearranging our living room furniture, trying to find a way that Bruce can be comfortable. That's his biggest problem at the moment. Then he has a doctor appointment at 3. You're welcome, Barbara. Let us know if you try it.

Who do they blame? The pain patient. OK, I did say I'd shut up now, didn't I?
No kidding. The day after I got Bruce home from the hospital, I took him to our primary doc. I took one the bottles of narcotics that the hospital was giving him with me as they'd given him a prescription for it. They didn't prescribe the other one that was causing the problems though so I just told him about that one. I asked if I could throw away the ones the hospital prescribed and just give him the ones he (our primary doc) had prescribed a couple of years ago when he was having migraines. I brought that bottle with me too. I'd refilled it just before the migraines stopped so had the full bottle plus 3 pills from the old bottle in it. (33 to be exact) and I showed it to him and told him how many pills were in it. I showed him the date it was filled which was during the summer of 2016, and that it was past it's expiration date. And I showed him that Bruce had only taken two pills out of the one the bottle the hospital had prescribed. I wanted him to know without any possible doubts that neither of us abuse meds. I knew he already knew that as he's known me since Jennifer was 5 years old, but I wanted him to see the "proof" of it. I wanted to give the hospital prescribed narcotics to him, but he said he couldn't take them legally, so I should throw them away. Bruce has been fine ever since those meds got out of his system. My problem is getting him to take a pain pill when he needs it now.
Boy have I learned how Bruce feels about me! It's like our positions have been reversed now, and I can understand much better how frustrated he gets when I won't take a pain pill lol, or when I try to do things that he and I both know will cause me more pain. So you were right about that Cheryl, except I'm the one that's learning about it lol.

to all the moms! I'm sorry you and Ron, and Cheryl and Ed had to go through that. So far Bruce hasn't been depressed at all, and is handling it all very well. He does get angry at times, but I know from personal experience that's the pain talking, not him. (After all the times I did the same thing to him, it's pretty easy to spot. Thankfully though I don't do it very often anymore because the Lord helps me keep my tongue under control lol)
Hope you had a good Mom's day too Lulu!

Researching your ancestry is a lot of fun. I've wondered how accurate those things are, but regardless, it would be fun to do the dna thing too. Hoping you continue to have work there Lulu.....

Just popping in to say a quick Hi.....gotta go to Bible study with cindy and then clean Hossanah's.
Leonard is very into the ancestry thing too.
I think I read where the DNA part only goes back so far ( because beyond that they either did not even have the DNA info or even draw blood for that purpose.....
so after maybe 6 or so generations, it goes back to records....
I would imagine, that in general ( the DNA part) , it is pretty accurate, and
then, some places kept very good ancestor records ,
but some places were spotty or they got lost in fires etc etc. Like the Jews kept excellent records, but then when Jerusalem was destroy and they were dispersed etc. those records were destroyed or lost....so that they now have a hard time knowing for sure which tribe they are from.
Thou I would think that many jews kept a head knowledge of their tribe, and passed it down that way....but of course that probably is not considered proof positive, even tho it may be spot on?

Thou I would think that many jews kept a head knowledge of their tribe, and passed it down that way....but of course that probably is not considered proof positive, even tho it may be spot on? True. I've had people tell me that they've traced their ancestry back to Noah or even Adam, and it was all I could do to keep from laughing out loud that they would believe such a thing. That's totally impossible when so much was destroyed over and over again in ancient times. In fact, the bible tells us that much of even the Jewish records were destroyed when Babylon conquered Rome. So there were huge gaps in the records between Babylon's conquering and Romes, and then of course the records were destroyed again by Rome. Then when Rome burned those records were destroyed, and when Rome fought Egypt, those records were all destroyed, and the same with the records in Greece. Finally more were destroyed during the Holocaust. And those are just the major ones that I can remember off the top of my head. But some folks will believe anything I guess.Good to hear from you Cindy, let Bruce know we are thinking of him often! thanks Lulu, I will!Does anyone know what is the expected ( or hoped) time frame for Bruce's totally recovery? Not really. Bruce is hoping he will be able to go back to work for light duty in a couple of months, but the doctors haven't said...so far so good, it's Thursday already! the Boeing source inspector is coming in today...ugh...never looking forward to seeing this grown man and his childish attitude but I do what I gotta do....it hasn't been easy getting things ready for him...I'm sure I've missed something....paper work has been a nightmare....but I believe the boards are in good order! Only one more day till Friday Lulu! I'm sure you did great, whether he thinks so or not!

Attachment Deletedwell the source guy didn't come yesterday, but he'll be here today, and it's John not Karl..big difference...John is mellow and kick back, never seen him pull a temper tantrum! so that gave me a few hours yesterday to go over the paper work AGAIN and fill in all the blanks.... I think we're looking good...
Cindy I do pray you get a little time for yourself during Bruce's healing progress. I guess getting away and on the puter for a tat is some time...Just know we and many others are praying for you daily.
Friday!

Thanks Lulu! I appreciate your prayers and the prayers of all my friends more than I could ever say, because I know absolutely that that's what is helping us more than anything else. I spend every morning with the Lord and His Word, and that's what enables me to get through each day. I wanted to come and just say a quick "hi" for today as I again have so much to do and not enough time to do it all. It seems there's just no end to the paper work, and making appointments and keeping them, and helping Bruce and everything else. Plus now I have to do all the things that Bruce used to do for me. I'm really looking forward to when things go back to normal.
I'm glad things went well at work for you yesterday Lulu. That had to be a relief!
Barbara, I'm sorry I can't make it to the bible study today, but I'll try to get there tomorrow ok?
Love you guys! God bless you all!

But still.....that's like someone recovering from open heart surgery and in a way, I think, they might recovery faster right?
We will keep praying for sure!!!
Don't worry about Bible Study for now.....I am worried about all you are doing. I can keep on all by myself for as long as you need, seriously don't even give it a thought. I am just so happy to have you when you can come and study with!! :-)

Good day everyone. Well, I am getting some work done outdoors, painted a gate. Went for a long Sunday drive with Ron and dogs, I so enjoyed that. One of my neighbor's vehicle stopped by my home at sunset, I missed seeing most of the action that was going on but the old man was laying on the floorboard of the vehicle, finally what I think was a probation officer got him out of the vehicle and finally they went to the man's home. I bribed my dogs into the home with some cheese as one man had a gun and the dogs were barking. Happenings happen around here at sunset. Another day in this chapter of my life.

Hebrews 11: 8-19
The next person of faith is Abraham. He even moved....left his home, not knowing where he would end up!! That meant leaving family ( except father) and friends etc. And he and his offspring lived in tents being strangers in the land. And tho on the one hand their offspring would inherit the physical land, they were looking for Heaven.
Then there was the issue of he and sarah having no children and they were way past the age of being able to.....but they trust God in this also.
But the last and to me the hardest test of Abraham faith was to offer up Issac believing that God could resurrect Issac.
In the end, none of these believer's by faith.....actually saw the full promise of what God had promised .....which shows the fullness of their faith.... also their patience sigh! I am mostly NOT a patient person...but these are excellent examples for me.

so we've been letting Hossanah and fiancee drive our new to us, unpaid for car, to her 4 week manager training ( far away)....yesterday the car started smoking ( water was fine as was oil). It had to get towed because we only got triple A for short distances ( as we did not know at the time, it would be going anywhere far) sooooo a big tow bill and it will still have to be towed yet again, to a shop....when we get some money....then of course who know how much repair cost will be...plus having to actually pay for the car.
However,this is Hossanah's last week.
In addition, Hossanah's new schedule as manager means she won't be getting home until 5:30 at night, for the earliest.....which means I will be hanging out with Devon ( grandson.....) plus cleaning for her.....she will pay me
then again, summer is coming which means basically the whole day with Devon and cleaning ( from when she leaves for work to 5:30 or later....)
one day she will close, but Brian fiancee will hopefully be there.
sooooooo ....ummmmm.... yeah!!
I guess its good I am fermenting....but I am having to take more pain meds and am pretty tired.
Oh Cheryl.....our one and only biggish pot seems to be being used no stop.....so several times I boiled water and poured in in my mason jars and all over the outside
until the day, I find the big pot not being used!!! sigh! Still, that is pretty good for me!!!!
And Cindy how are you when you get a chance....and how is Bruce ( still praying for you both)
We could use prayers for our car, finances, and strength for at least the next 3 -4 mts coming up.

We spent Saturday and Sunday with my daughter and her family in Ft. Worth. The high school had a ceremony and dinner for seniors who had won academic awards and scholarships. On Sunday their church had a recognition ceremony and lunch. We really enjoyed being with them.
It's summer here at last. Really hot today.
Hugs to all.

Thanks Barbara! I know you can do the study by yourself, as you've been doing so very well. I hate that I seem to have so little time lately. I know that when Bruce is more comfortable and able to do more, that then I'll be able to have more time to spend as I wish. Good day everyone. Well, I am getting some work done outdoors, painted a gate. Went for a long Sunday drive with Ron and dogs, I so enjoyed that. I'll certainly add those things to my prayers for you guys Barbara. There's not much to say about Bruce. He's healing, but it's very slow going so there's not much change day to day. He's pretty much the same as he was when I got him home from the hospital. Just to barely touch him on his right side causes him a great deal of pain. That, plus the fact that the neck brace is very uncomfortable and can't ever be taken off, makes him pretty miserable. We go to the doctors again today, and he will order a bunch of xrays to see how the healing is going. My body doesn't like the extra work, obviously, but there's nothing that can be done for it. (just like you now...)By the way....LOLOL
Proof positive I am getting tired with all the additional work etc.
I posted yesterday's Bible study here by mistake!!!
That's wonderful that the church had a ceremony for them too! I love how you're able to spend time with your children so often.quiet morning...Ashlynn just got up...came out here to the sanctuary got her IPad and said she was gonna get ready to take her shower! she is such a good kid! her mom isn't even up yet!
What a difference from the family that was living with you guys before! Children can be either a blessing or a curse to others, and it depends a lot of how they are raised.

Where are our rocking chairs???? LOL
I used to have this idea that when one got old, they would sit on a porch in a rocking chair and the youngins would bring them treats!! LOLOL

I feel the same way Barbara! The appointment only frustrated me. I'll have explain more later though as I don't have time today. He's going for an xray soon.
I'm sorry that's happening to your job Lulu. I'll add it to my prayers for you.
I just had to write this today! I hope many enjoy it and that it calls us all to try harder and to pray earnestly for Jesus to come soon! fresh-hope.com/thread/4236/causing-day-god-happen-sooner

I was just thinking this morning how I wish the rapture would come any day now and soon!
I put some birdseed on the ground this morning for the small birds but lately, it has been the quail and a chipmunk that has been eating the birdseed. I watched the birds this morning while resting and working. I have to fill in a deep hole the dogs dug and also remove some weeds. So after watching the cute chipmunk and finished the work, for now, I came indoors and Ron said something to me and he laughed and I thought to myself, " He looks just like that chipmunk." I guess because he has a full beard. Ron is on day two with no sleep, I wonder what is wrong with him and when he is going to sleep.

Attended a school orchestra concert last night because our son's boy was playing in it. They have a concert in December and another in May.
Just catching up with stuff today.
Hugs to all.
