Thanks Kel & Cindy!
Two of our men from church are on a motorcycle trip this week, along with two of their sons, going to Maine and into Canada. Daniel texted me that when he, Cody & Garrett went to Chick Fil-A in Bangor last night to eat supper, there sat the four men from church! (Well, three men and a young teen boy.) That was pretty amazing to all of them! Daniel & friends are staying another night in Maine then heading to Boston tomorrow.
(It wasn't easy to let my 18 year old go off on a trip like this, by the way!! Thankfully, the other two are 19. )
These boys have been best buddies ever since we moved here and found our church home. Daniel was 4 and the other two were 5. They're like cousins.
Which means, come to think of it, they're probably about ready to kill each other by this point!

That's so cool, Lorrie!
I just wanted to let everyone know that Photobucket has finally replied to me, so maybe we'll get this cleared up in the next few days! It looks like this may actually get cleared up, although I expect it will take at least another day or two, so don't delete the smilies yet!!!!!thats awesome Lorrie! I hope Daniel has a fun and safe trip! awe Barbara.. I am so sorry for you and Leonard. all my love and prayers.. Cindy its hard, I just feel distracted to talk. with FB its a quick blurb, like Cheryl says, I never give a 100% me.. I love y'all and you all are always on my mind and prayers.. I understand Kel, but I still love to hear from you. I'll take whatever you can give and give you back all of me, how's that? (but all of me sometimes isn't very much when I'm in a lot of pain lol)That's so great that Daniel has a friend like that. I was so surprised when I saw your post. It was kind of weird too because I've been missing one of my favorite shows since we switched to Roku for our TV and found it available for free last night. It's called North Woods Law and is a show about Maine and New Hampshire Fish and Game wardens. I was watching it when I saw you post LOL.

I hope Jenn gets chosen. Well.....unless she doesn't want to be a juror. I never used to want to be chosen and dreaded even the possibility of being called, so when I was put on the list, (several times, in 2 states), I opted out, due to financial pressures. I was never called, thank goodness. Now? I think I'd like to be on a jury.
Lorrie, that's so neat that Daniel gets to travel. And I agree! Upstate NY was breathtaking!
Lulu, I'm so sorry that you are experiencing another loss. My heart goes out to you and Ron.
Cindy, I hope you're able to resolve the photobucket issue.
Cindy, do you have a thread that explains how the ROKU works and what you get with it? I'm curious.

Tomorrow after Rec I go up to my moms & clean her house, change sheets etc. check on her. It's to the point where I just say, I'm coming up & this is what I'm doing

OK about Photobucket. They finally got back to me and told me that they would give me some money off their cheapest plan since they could tell that I've been trying to pay my bill since it came do and that they'd make my account look like it had been grandfathered in so I'd have 3rd party hosting till Dec 2018. If I figured right, my cost for this year would then be $34.99 which is only $5 more than I was paying, BUT since this plan doesn't include 3rd party hosting and neither does their next plan, I'd then have to pay $400 a year in order to have the 3rd party hosting, which I absolutely will not do. Part of me wants to tell them to forget the whole thing, but if I do that I may never get this problem of the smiles solved. By accepting their offer, at least I should be able to get that plug in to work again (I hope) and it will stop with the stupid signs (which they are even putting on graphics that aren't mine but that belong to pro boards!) So I guess I have no choice but to accept it for now and then try to find somewhere else to host the graphics or just give them up altogether. So I guess I'll go pay it now. Sorry for the inconvenience guys.I hope Jenn gets chosen. Well.....unless she doesn't want to be a juror. I never used to want to be chosen and dreaded even the possibility of being called, so when I was put on the list, (several times, in 2 states), I opted out, due to financial pressures. She'd love to do it, but sadly it's quite a distance from where we are, in one of our few actual "cities" and she's terrified of driving on a 4 lane highway. So we'll see what happens.....
No, I haven't done anything like that about Ruku. I'm sure you can get the info if you google it though. We just started watching North Woods Law 😊 I will try Cindy & I appreciate you. You know how they get grease built up on them although you can't see it. But not anymore! They're all nice and clean again.Good morning everyone. Hi to everyone!! Been really busy the last week or two and haven't been able to post. I have read the posts above though and it seems everyone is coping with the heat (and rain) really well. The temps here are horrible and when we do have rain clouds the humidity is really, really bad. Anymore with this weather we are having, I just keep my nebulizer out ready to use! I have even been taking some Prednizone on and off to be able to breathe. I had my yearly mammogram yesterday and found out that Norman has the new 3-D type of machine. I am excited about it because the readings on my tests has always been difficult in the past. Cheryl, I am really glad you have found a church home! I really don't know how I would cope without my church family. I have been attending my home church since 1982. I have seen alot of saints called home thru the years. And seeing them called home makes me want to go also. Their work and toil is finished done here but mine isn't.. So I keep trudging along, doing what I know the Lord has called me to do! I had to buy a new fridge right around the 4th of July. I went to Sear's website and they had theirs on half price!! I have always wanted an ice maker. Never had one in my life!! So--the one I purchased has an icemaker but I didn't want the drink dispenser in the door. This one has french doors, alot of space that my old one did not have, and the freezer in the bottom part. I was all the time asking Larry to get me something out of my old one. Now I won't have any trouble with that!! Also yesterday Larry called my attention to the fact that the shelves pull out in the fridge so that I won't have any trouble with that part either!! We had a good laugh about that because we weren't shown that part!! Oh well, will get off here. Need to start a load of laundry and it won't get done as long as I am sitting in front of the computer. Praying all of you have a blessed and peaceful weekend! God Bless!!

It would be a blessing to have a new refrigerator especially one that puts out ice, mine is 14 years old and I keep the coil dust free in the back of it, so it keeps working.
The people that were stealing mail from mailboxes here were caught, it was a family, the father, mother, daughter and boyfriend. Ron was able to talk to the mail delivery lady today and she said that even though the thieves were caught, boxes will still have to be picked up at the post office because they are concerned that there might be a copy cat. What! a copy cat? That seems wrong to me. I'm glad fed x and ups doesn't have that attitude.

Praying all of you have a blessed and peaceful weekend! God Bless!! Congrats on the new refrigerator! I have a water and ice dispenser in my fridge and am SO grateful for it! We have a very high calcium content in our water, and the filter in the fridge is AWESOME. I can drink that water, but I can't drink it from the PUR filter on my faucet. Ed and I have tried different kinds and none of them do a complete job for the faucet. If they made one, like the one in my refrigerator, I'd definitely buy it, but they don't. Problem is.......the one in the refrigerator costs $40 when it is on sale. It does last a long time, though. I'm so sorry that you're having to take meds just to be able to breathe. I hope your mammogram tests come out great! Let us know, OK? You're in my prayers, sis.

A copy cat? I agree with your assessment that it's just wrong. But, that is what this world has come to. Jesus warned us, but I'm finding myself realizing that I had not expected all this that is going on. I just pray, every day, for Him to come back real soon, for us. Maranatha!!

Still hot here. I think our weather is about the same, Cindy. Although we did get more rain.
Went to a funeral yesterday for a friend's daughter-in-law. I didn't know the woman who died, but my friend is in my SS Class so I wanted to support her. Her DIL was 66 and died from ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease). Her parents are still alive. I felt sorry for them. They looked so frail and lost.
Taking it easy today. Hugs to everyone.

Praying all of you have a blessed and peaceful weekend! God Bless!! It seems a lot of folks are having trouble breathing and with pain. I found out from my vet that any major change in the weather can bring on asthma in a cat (or a human lol) and that's what happens with our cat. So now I have to give her two prednisone a day when the weather changes (which it seems to be doing almost constantly lately!) Plus I noticed that the same thing happens with my pain. I used to wonder about that because I knew that a storm always caused me to hurt more but couldn't understand why I'd hurt more when it was a nice day outside... Well now I know it's because of the sudden change! Like going from 80 to 50 or something like that.
We're getting close to needing a new fridge too. I keep hoping ours will hold out a few more years though. I'm glad you got one you like though. It would be a blessing to have a new refrigerator especially one that puts out ice, mine is 14 years old and I keep the coil dust free in the back of it, so it keeps working.

That's sad, but unfortunately does happen a lot of times. thanks to the news media others hear about it and decide to try it for themselves. At least we won't have to worry about that in heaven though!Hi to everyone!! Been really busy the last week or two and haven't been able to post. I'll try and work on it tomorrow for you Lulu.
Those are great pictures Lulu, love them! Where did you fix up your sitting are? awe.. like your little sitting area! Love all the photos lulu!! Cindy.. sent you a message.. i lost everything i wrote to you.. but its just a quick message.. :/ I got it hon and replied. If any of you ever need to reach me for something and don't want to wait, please, just give me a call ok? My phone number hasn't changed for almost 30 years and most likely won't before the rapture. If you don't have it, just send me a PM and I'll give it to you. I always feel bad when I've made someone wait for an answer...Still hot here. I think our weather is about the same, Cindy. We got more rain as well Margie. I'm sorry to hear about your friends loss. It was awfully nice of you to go to support her. Sometimes I feel like I go to more funerals than is normal, but that's mostly because of the kind of work I did. When you work with the elderly, you're bound to wind up at funerals a lot of times, and that doesn't count those of family and friends. I'm going to be taking it easy today too...at least I hope to.
We went to my granddaughter Alissa's 13th birthday party on Saturday. She's such a sweetheart and almost all my grandchildren were there as well as my great grandkids. Let's see... how many do I have really so far: grandchildren: 13 greatgrandchildren: 5 Elijah had been sick but felt better so Jenn brought him and Grace. But I could tell that he wasn't 100% better no matter what he said lol. So Jenn didn't let him do any running around. Afterward they went home and she had him rest which was a good thing because his fever came back for a short time. I sure hope he gets completely over it soon as he's supposed to leave for boy scout camp this coming Saturday and I know he doesn't want to miss that. He worked very hard to earn the $300 it costs to go and did it all by himself.
Well, I'd better get busy on the bible study. Love you guys!

Yesterday was not a good day for me. I missed church because of my breathing problems. Was on oxygen all day long. And I need to get my church work done since this is the last day of the month. We need a good soaking rain. These little showers we are getting just isn't enough to even settle the dust. Cindy, I hope Elijah gets well enough to go to Boy Scout Camp since he worked to earn the money. And that is alot of money!! I will be praying for him this week. Larry has cataract surgery on his last eye this week. I will be glad when it is over and done with. He does fairly well. But I have to remind him sometimes about all of the drops he has to put in his eyes. Especially that first week. After that things seem to level out for him. I have got to get off here. Praying everyone has a Great Day in the Lord!!

Praying everyone has a Great Day in the Lord!! I'm sorry you missed church Colou. I hope you're feeling better. I'd be happy to give you some of our rain, but I don't think the Lord will let me...
Thanks for praying for Elijah. I'd hate for him to miss it too. I really appreciate your prayers.
I'm running behind, so I've got to get going. God bless you all!

Lulu, I just love what you and Ron have done with your yard. And that spot looks not only cozy, but private too.
Cindy, I pray that Elijah feels better soon. I hope he's well enough to go on his scout camping trip. He's a child......he will be much better, when that time comes. It seems to always work out that way.
I like that feature, on here that saves your post. My email server does that too. I'm grateful for it because my power bleeped off, yesterday morning, after I'd been typing a rather long email. When everything came back on, it was in my draft folder and I didn't have to retype it all over again.
Colou, I'm sorry that you are having such a hard time with your breathing. And then, on top of it, having to miss services. I've had times when it's hard to breathe and it is terrifying. It just feels like a truck sitting on your chest. I hope that the weather gets to the point where you don't have endure the thick air and dust, soon.
Margie, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend's daughter in law.
to everyone, I didn't mention here, too!

For those of you not on FB (or for those who are but haven't seen it yet), Lulu had to take Ron to the hospital yesterday for chest pain. Turns out he had a mild heart attack, so was admitted into ICU early today.
Please keep Ron in your prayers for complete healing, and of course Lulu also, as she takes care of him.

Thanks Cheryl! It looks like he's doing fine now, so I'm sure he'll be able to go, praise God!
Yeah, I like it too. It surprised me once or twice too when it even saved my post when my browser crashed, so that when I opened it up again and went back to the thread to post, it was already with the one it had saved! Now that I didn't expect! For those of you not on FB (or for those who are but haven't seen it yet), Lulu had to take Ron to the hospital yesterday for chest pain. Thanks for telling us Lorrie. I am so sorry to read that, I will keep Lulu and Ron in my prayers.
My husband was able to pick some peaches from a peach tree in Wayne's yard and I made a peach pie and still have enough peaches left over for smoothies, so I was glad to get fresh fruit from the tree.

Praying for Ron and Lulu.
It's rained here since last night. I'm on the patio with the parakeets. Listening to this gentle rain is soothing (no lightning or thunder). Reading a good book by Lynn Austin - Pilgrimage My Journey to a Deeper Faith in the Land Where Jesus Walked.
Hugs to all.

I was going to say something, when I posted, but I was really hoping that Lulu would be able to do it herself, from her phone. I don't know if you can get to FH via a phone. But, since she is waaay too busy to come and ask for prayers, I'm so glad you did it for her. I'm so worried about them both. But, I know the Lord has them in His hands, and will heal Ron. I just went over to facebook to check for updates. Ron went in for an angioplasty, at around 3pm their time. Ron posted there too, and said that the doctors are going to have to do triple bypass surgery. Lulu said tomorrow or Friday.

Anna, that pie sounds SO appealing. Peach pie is my favorite! Apple used to be, but it's a close second, now. When I make pie, I can never decide which kind, so I mix apples with peaches. I bought some peaches from the farmer's market, the last time I was up in Paducah, and wished I'd bought more than just 4 of them. They lasted 2 days. YUM!Praying for Ron and Lulu. Margie, that sounds so nice, sitting and reading with the sound of the gentle rain. Seems like that's good material for a poem or song.
